To the selected few who have caught Feebas

Ok, to those who have caught Feebas, what did you tell the lady in Dewford Town? I've been searching for two days and am really desprate for help.
Help please!
And if you can't tell me the total exact location you found it in with that selected quote. Just tell me "Around that one place" or something.

SkinnyGreenMan November 26th, 2004 11:12 AM

I am pretty sure it isn't based off the phraze. Its based off when the phraze changes. Every time it changes, feebass is randomly placed in 6 spots. Good luck, anyway.

Mr Cat Dog November 26th, 2004 11:31 AM

The actual phrase has nothing to do with it. Changes in Feebas' location occur when you change it, but the words themselves don't determine the 6 tiles Feebas will be in. ^_^

go to treefort and go west and down till you hit those three or four stairs and that little piece of land stay to the left then go swim three steps go up till you are one step away from the wall and turn east without going to the all and fish till you find it

Maybe for your game. It's different for every game, because the Feebas fishing tiles are selected randomly (even if two different games use the same Trendy Phrase in Dewford). So, you just gotta keep hunting until you find them, no-one else can help you (unless your friend happens to get lucky early, and breeds a Feebas and trades you one. That's how I got mine :-) )

lol, I found a feebass and traded it to my friend because he wanted milotic on his team. He bred it, and gave the babies to all my friends, but didn't give one back to me.

Kylie-chan November 26th, 2004 7:58 PM

He's so mean.

Eek... I'll never get Feebas! I've searched everywhere at night and day with my SP and searched for ages and no can find!

Water Pokemon Master November 27th, 2004 8:50 AM

Hmm...thanks for the replies.
But you did give me a little hope: I thought Feebas was in 1 square, not six. Now the odds are better!
BTW, what are the odds of finding a Feebas? How many tiles are there in all of the water? Just wanna know :D

Spectrum November 27th, 2004 8:54 AM

Your chances of finding Feebas are about 1/5 for each time you fish on the right spots. Just fish about 5 times per spot, and you'll find it eventually. ^^;

Water Pokemon Master November 27th, 2004 8:55 AM

Thanks Aino! Wow, 1/67. That really gives me more confidence.

Mr Cat Dog November 27th, 2004 1:20 PM

The chance of finding a Feebas at all is: 6/400 (or 3/200 if you want to simplify it... or 1.5%). If you do find a Feebas tile, then the odds are 80% that you'll encounter Feebas.

Water Pokemon Master November 28th, 2004 2:01 PM

Ok, I read in the FAQ that an Old Rod is better...why? Cuz I've been using a Super Rod the whole time...I hope I haven't wasted my time..
EDIT:
Also, does anyone have a tiled map of Route 119? Maybe if I print one out I can cross off all of the tiles that 100% don't have a Feebas...

Toothache November 28th, 2004 2:04 PM

The Old Rod is better for catching Feebas because you only get Magikarp and Carvanha from the Old Rod, where as you get a lot more Pokemon fished up from other rods which affect the odds of Feebas appearing. Less Pokemon = more chance of getting Feebas.

EDIT: That's not actually a bad idea, that way you can just cross off any squares you've been in and mark on your Feebas tiles. If someone was to draw one of these up, we could put it in a sticky for people to take (and give full credit to, of course)

Water Pokemon Master November 28th, 2004 2:11 PM

Really? Because with my Super Rod I've only seen one pokemon, Caravhana...
>< I...hate...that...pokemon!

Mr Cat Dog November 29th, 2004 12:15 AM

The Super Rod does have less Pokemon encounters than the Old Rod (only Carvanha... and NO annoying Magikarp), bu because it can catch them at lower levels, that's why many people find it better to work with. ^_^

mudkipology November 29th, 2004 9:16 AM

where can i find Super Rod?

Mr Cat Dog November 29th, 2004 10:41 AM

*sigh* This isn't the place to ask... but I'll answer anyways: Super Rod is in Mossdeep City, in the house that's next to the Space Center. ^_^

deoxts November 29th, 2004 12:42 PM

well toothache in the offical book it showed the exact spot

There's your map, Toothache. I hope that's the right spot. It would have taken too long to add all the trainers, berries, et cetera. It's easier just to keep that sprite layer out of the picture.

Water Pokemon Master November 29th, 2004 8:32 PM

Good job.
GUESS WHAT?!
dundundunDAH!

I CAUGHT...A FEEBAS!

SnoreBolt November 29th, 2004 8:47 PM

Good job. I remember that feeling too.

Mr Cat Dog November 30th, 2004 12:04 AM

Well, now that you're all happy that you've caught your Feebas, I'll go ahead and close to prevent n00bs going: "OMG CONGRATS LOL LOL LOL!!!" and the like XD
