Interesting place... wonder what they are saying. And it looks like there are 100 floors whatever it is, or maybe I'm reading it wrong.

OmegaRuby and AlphaSapphire October 10th, 2010 6:55 PM

intresting, I think it was suppose to be the battle tower of Gen 5

Ho-Oh October 10th, 2010 7:04 PM

Seems a lot of places online are talking about it, I'm interested as to why it has so many floors, are they really needed? Aaand, as for a Battle Tower, that's unlikely, because there's already the Battle Subway that takes the role of that.

Planetes. October 10th, 2010 8:03 PM

Maybe its where you can get an event pokemon?

No, that would be the Battle Subway :P

For some reason I thought of downloadable expansion packs of new areas. Not really routes though, but just new areas with unobtainable Pokemon spread out.

And I know it's in a tower, but that is the most likely place for something like that if it were to occur because then they wouldn't have to add expansions to the map as well.

Very unlikely that this is true. Just a hope. ^_^

Xatumi October 11th, 2010 2:35 AM

Some people are saying its like the Battle Cafe in Platinum. Where in each floor, an important trainer will be there waiting for a battle.

Some are saying Gary oak will be on the final floor.

Remember this is all here say, no solid facts. Can't wait to find out though.

The United Tower

Hidden away in the seas on the south of Isshu is another island. Accessible after you receive an item from an event, you can gain access to the United Tower through the boat in the United Pier in Hiun City. When you arrive on the island, you will find just a single solitary tower. This is the United Tower.

http://www.serebii.net/blackwhite/unitedtower.png

When you enter the tower, you will be stopped by security who will explain that trainers come from far away in order to battle here. He will say that they run security checks to make sure that the younger trainers are safe and will then allow you to battle on. The Tower is a 130 floor tower which will allow you to enter any floor in order to battle trainers.

It is currently unknown how to add trainers to the floors, but it is likely that it'll be over the Nintendo WiFi Connection. We'll bring more details as and when we get them.

I'm thinking in: maybe this is the end of the Pokémon World Championships? For me, this method will be great in that you don't have to wait for hours before entering the Championships and it would be confortable for all of these players who don't live in London, Paris, Madrid, Tokyo, etc.

And I think this is the reason of why the Black and White OST contains a track named "Battle VS World Pokémon Champion"...

Ho-Oh October 11th, 2010 5:25 AM

Ooh the tower looks so pretty from that angle <3

So you get access due to an event? Sucks if it's only due to the Championships though, accessing the island normally would be nice, since the tower does look nice. Interesting idea to include it, though.

OmegaRuby and AlphaSapphire October 11th, 2010 5:38 AM

Oh really I was thinking that it might have been the original battle tower but decided to do the subway instead but it seems like its it's own place...huh why so many floors?

JP October 11th, 2010 7:24 AM

Yeah I hope it's not just for Championships. I think it'd just be cool to be able to download Trainer profiles and their teams from WiFi and then just be able to battle them in this tower. To me, this is what it seems to be.

Either way, I'm really excited to find out what its true purpose is.

Haza October 11th, 2010 7:27 AM

Interesting... too bad I don't go to the Championships... wish it was a wifi thing.

Either way, Gary Oak won't be on the final floor because he is an anime character. It will be Green/Blue, upon whom Gary is based. Sorry to be pedantic but I am stunned at how many fans of the franchise don't understand that they are completely seperate characters.

It is a Mysterious thing though. I'm amazed as to why its taken nearly a month for this to be discovered.

It's been a month, I agree I find that odd its taken so long.

I do like its concept though. If it has wifi capabilities, similar to what JP said, it would be pretty cool to battle other actual people.

Spiky-Eared Pichu October 11th, 2010 9:44 AM

I don't think the trainer in the last floor is Green/Blue, because his sprite doesn't exist in the games.

delthero October 11th, 2010 10:40 AM

I think it's interesting although I'll have to wait to find out more. i'll probably use it :)

Why would there be an event item from Wi-Fi that unlocks the Battle Tower?

That is all the proof that I need to believe that it was never intended to be the Battle Tower.

Spikey-Eared Pichu October 11th, 2010 1:02 PM

Well...

The UNITED Tower, in the city based on New York...Quite possibly, the tower is there for you to register Trainers via Wi-Fi and then battle them on an assigned floor in a similar fashion to how you'd fight your friends in the Secret Base in R/S/E. If so, than I believe 130 floors is a bit much, but maybe it has some other purpose.

Maybe the 130 floors are just for show?

Or maybe each floor will store a trainer.

Or be a new area-thing like I said earlier

I said I thought...as in before we knew this...
Anyways this sounds cool, though those without wi-fi wouldn't be able to get it.

We've known that since it was discovered.

Xatumi October 11th, 2010 3:29 PM

Hmmm championships. Maybe, its a place that will hold tournaments on certain days. All over the world people can link up and battle. Something similar to the Global link site, or something.

I honestly have no idea, all speculation. Or it could just be a really sophisticated Pal Pad. lol. XD

It could also be the top 130 players on the leaderboards.

Really I didn't hear that until today, yesterday we knew the only way to access it was only to hacking until today...well at least I did...

I like this tower idea but I'm still not quite sure what its for. Championships?
Too bad people without wi-fi won't get it.
