Yo. Totally want to be a member here -- love most Poison types.

Top three favorites?

Crobat, Crobat, and Crobat- *shot* FINE, Crobat, Seviper, and Ariados.

What is your favorite Poison Type - CROBATCROBATCROBATCROBAT
What is your favorite Poison Move - Poison Fang. With STAB, decent damage and the chance to badly poison.
What is you favorite Shiny Poison type - Seviper.
Which generation has the Best poison pokemon - Gen 2, because it introduced CROBATTTTTTT- I like Crobat.
What was the first Poison type you caught - Zubat. Never really been the biggest fan of Poison Types prior, and tried to raise one in Diamond... dear god, I started to fall in love

Partner: Crobat, please.

What Ability do Poison Pokemon have that you find useful? - Personally, I like Drapion's Sniper.

My closing statement consists of three words: I like Crobat.

Christopher October 20th, 2010 8:28 AM

Welcome IanDonyer and Crobat is indeed an awesome Pokemon.

oh and I'l say My favorite ability is Shed Skin , the ability to heal a status effect without having to switch out is a blessing though Natural Cure is just as good and a little more reliable.

Chord October 21st, 2010 5:15 PM

I'll have to check the list of Poison types and their abilities before I make a solid decision

From the top of my head, Roserade's Natural Cure.

I will say that Natural Cure is really useful though especially since we can't get poisoned it's just to shake off a paralysis or cure a burn

Crobat <3
I was gonna use one as my flier but I decided it would take too long to raise a Zubat from level 2 >.<

I never liked Shed Skin; it never worked for me until it was too late but the minute I status something that has it, it loses the status (-3-)/

Ah yes I've had this happen to me many times In-game. Usually though My Seviper comes through and shakes whatever status it is currently inflicted with.

Do think that Poison should be weak to more/Different types or Resistant to more/different types?

Chord October 21st, 2010 5:47 PM

^ I never got the connections with Poison to Ground and Psychic or Steel so I can't really say.

I mean, chemically metals react when exposed to acid which is what I base the poison type to be.

Very Reasonable but it is a two way street as some chemicals and poisons would beed and roll right off of steel so maybe it should be normally effective instead of completely immune

dragoniteuser October 22nd, 2010 1:10 AM

Acid and poison are to COMPLETLY different things.
But I don't understand why poison type attacks are super-effective only against Grass types... O.o

Guess what? I'm doing just that on SoulSilver!
I named her Batgirl! (How orignal, eh?)
I must say I got her VERY early in the game... I don't know how early/late you were talking about in the games...

dragoniteuser October 22nd, 2010 10:52 AM

You can catch Zubat in the Dark cave...
That's before the first gym battle!

Hmm, I see your point.
I think Poison should have a super effectiveness against Normal as well

Wow, you've got patience. When I was starting off my flier options were Pidgey, Spearow or Zubat but I went the completely different route and caught and traded a Murkrow from my Dia. Catching one from Dark Cave is the best option though since by the time it becomes a Golbat the Happiness would already be high so it won't be long until you have a beloved Crobat. I learned that in FireRed

I can definitly agree with this! Poison type attack should be super-effective against Normal type Pokemon! Hm... maybe even Fighting pokemon...

Chord October 23rd, 2010 8:56 AM

I wouldn't say Fighting but I see your point. Fighting types are just normal types that know martial-arts

Miss Doronjo October 24th, 2010 2:18 PM

GIUSE GUISE GIUSE---
I like Drapion nowz. <3 A Scorpionnnnnn. :O

I wish there was a way to poison steel types someday...I'll dedicate my work with dangerous chemicals with my lab garenteed to turn myself into a mutant octopus to find out how to poison a Jirachi! ;-;

Waiiitttt, actually, there's a 5t h gen move that turns any type of pokemon into water; so that is a kewl way to poison steels. XP

Chord October 24th, 2010 2:28 PM

^ Waterlog :P

Waterlogthen Toxic? Sound like a plan but what Poison types learn Waterlog if any?

Miss Doronjo October 24th, 2010 2:37 PM

Nodda. ^.^
(If only Octillery and Wailord will join the poison side~)[/star warz pun]

Gah, I thought quilfish might, but KILLfish won't allow it...
/headdesks
Things confuzzle me.

Chord October 24th, 2010 2:44 PM

Or Tentacruel for the least. Tentacruel should be able to learn Waterlog so we can poison those Steels

Miss Doronjo October 24th, 2010 3:03 PM

Yeah; tenta too; oops, forgot about it. ^.^;
Tentacruel got alot better with Boil Over-- so kewl to burn incoming tyranitars. :3

Also Squidward's favorite. ^.^
I always imagine it shaking its tentacruels and having two neighbours: Ludicolo and Starmie. ^^ Eh, well, I'd thought Ludicolo was more like a spongbob pokemon, lol. <3

Christopher October 24th, 2010 3:03 PM

Sorry guys was gone for a few days
Ive Added you Curious sorry about the wait.

dragoniteuser October 25th, 2010 4:45 AM

What's up Gear, where have you been?

Don't really see the point in wasting two move slots, just to poison a Pokemon... :/

Christopher October 25th, 2010 1:41 PM

I was helping some People move thus was not at my house and had no access to my Computer so I might be absent later too :(

@Miss Doronjo - Squidward=Tentacruel? O.o I never thought about that :)

In-game maybe but I doubt it'd be a competitive thing.
