After you beat the entire game?
What do you usually do when you beat all of the gym leaders, you beat red, you beat the whole game?
Restart the game? usually. Unless, I'm really proud of some Pokemon then, I restart one of my other games.
I prefer the post game rather than the quest itself... you start collecting pokemon, trade and battle... basically do everything that's fun.
For example right now i just hatched my 72nd Venonat, still trying to get near Perfect IV's and Timid Nature... |
After I beat the Pokemon League, I catch/breed as many of the different Pokemon as I can in-game, then use them in the Battle Frontier.
I go on a quest to catch EVERY SINGLE POKEMOONNNN. ... I never do though. >:
Did the Battle Frontier for a bit; not much else. HeartGold and SoulSilver had a real problem with replayability.
Try and beat the battle frontier and do some events.

I train my favorite Pokemon to Lv: 100 and I start catching Pokemon that I don't have. I also start re-battling the Pokemon Leauge afterwards.
well i haven't played HG or SS but generally I would restart the game or go back to tie up some loose ends.
I asked myself the exact question today, i just ended up deciding to restart my game. I'll probably get another event mew soon also. Going for a quicker gametime this time round though ;)
Right now I'm breeding and training Pokemon for the Battle Tower (w00t, I just hatched a Rhyhorn with perfect HP, Atk, and Sp. Def IVs!) and for battling with friends at my school. It takes up a lot of time. :P
I start breeding flawless pokemon :)
Just get bored of it and quit. Really is no point getting a perfect Pokemon or completing the 'dex when you already can beat the most powerful opponent in the game.
If I had access to Wifi, I might do some trading and battling, but that doesn't work because my DS is in half. |
I compete in the Pokeathlon, try to conquer the Battle Frontier, and go on Wi-Fi.
I have never beaten HG or SS completely. The most I've done is beat Red on SS and then restart. I didn't bother with legendaries. I have beaten the E4 on HG, but I started over. I don't like the Kanto part very much, but I plan on actually trying to catch legendaries and do the Kanto part of the game next time I beat the E4 on HG. SS I will just restart again, probably.

trying to complete the national dex while breeding flawless shinies for ppls
I just start again, trying to create the perfect team. Sometimes I play to catch heaps of Pokemon, then I trade them to my Diamond (Because that's my Pokemon keeping game) and if I do finish it completely, I just start the game again catching different Pokemon, sometimes raising a lot during my adventure, or just smashing everyone to bits.
Mainly I'm working on finishing the National Dex, getting everything done in the Pokeathlon, breeding for IVs and egg moves, and trying to get more into competitive battling. I guess at some point I'll work on mastering the Battle Frontier as well.
I still have a few legendaries I've been too lazy to go out and catch too, so I still have plenty left that I want to do. :3 |
Well, I'm about to buy a Nintendo DSi together with Pokemon HG/SS (both of them). When I finish the game, I will just enjoy the life with the Battle Frontier of the Johto region re just going to restart the game. But I will prefer to enjoy the Battle Frontier and catch Pokemons.
Battle Frontier is on Johto already: http://www.pokemongoldsilver.com/us/#/features/returning-features |
Prepare for next years world tournament.

In my opinion, you don't beat the "entire" game when you have gotten all of the items, (or have used one); there is not ONE little Pokeball item or anything hidden in the whole game, you've caught every single Pokemon, leveled them all to Level 100 or EV'd them diserably, Gotten all the gold prints at the Battle Frontier, achieving medals at the Pokeathlon on all your Pokemon.
I think every pokemon game has decent replayability. You just have to expand your horizons. Try to discover new fighting methods. I learned some useful things with just random tricks I found, whether they be good in-game or not. Like Tricking horrible items onto the enemy. I really get a kick out of that, whether it be something useless or not. heres a lagging tail. Noooo! |
I usually transfer my pokes then restart. :3
