Isshu Pokemon will be added once that BW get's released in US.
But this IS a subject to change, so feel free to debate!

Once you become a member choose your Sparring partner.
But choose quickly, cause one Pokemon can only be chosen once!

Some topics for the beginning:
What's your favourite fighting Pokemon?
What's your favourite fighting move?

Christopher November 6th, 2010 8:22 AM

Hey Draggy another FC eh? oooh and its fighting typed!
I would love to join Medicham has been my favorite Pokemon since it was released.

Sparring Partner: Medicham please

What's your favourite fighting Pokemon?
Medicham
What's your favourite fighting Move?
Force Palm or high jump kick though force palm does have the chance for paralysis tough choice

Amore November 6th, 2010 9:47 AM

I'd love to join too!

Sparring Partner: http://archives.bulbagarden.net/media/upload/3/3c/Spr_4h_062.png
(Lucario is a cliché, sadly, and you stole Gallade).

Favourite Fighting Pokémon?
Varies, currently Gallade, has been Poliwrath and Blaziken often, as well as Hitmonchan/lee/top and occasionally Machamp

Favourite Fighting-type move?

Aura Sphere is brilliant, being special, and 100% accurate, but overall, I prefer Dynamicpunch, as it's a high-risk high-return move, but when put on a Machamp it's a "kills all non-ghost pokémon" move.

Btw, Poliwhirl is wearing boxing gloves/mits/whatever you call them, as well as being able to learn some fighting techniques (Wake Up Slap, Brick Break, Rock Smash, the first of which is fairly rare, quite a few fighting-types don't learn it). He has more reason to be here than Milotic in the Dragon's Den...so I think you should seriously consider including him.

dragoniteuser November 6th, 2010 9:48 AM

Hey, Gear! Sure you can join!
You too Amore!
Do you think that gen V should be added straight away, or should we wait?
Yeah, I was thinking about it, but I've decided that only Pokemon that have Fighting type are in the Dojo.

Christopher November 6th, 2010 12:22 PM

perhaps...add them as there are not a whole lot of fighting types to begin with, and they have all been revealed, and most everyone has seen them.
On the other hand their names have yet to be translated so it could cause some confusion.

dragoniteuser November 6th, 2010 12:40 PM

Excatly! This is why I'm not sure if i should add them.
But then again they're names aren't stated on the thread, so...
I really don't know. Tell me what you guys think!

Amore November 6th, 2010 1:44 PM

I personally dislike this idea, as I think it's best to keep your knowledge to a minimum until you've got the games (just enough to decide which game to get, IMO). Sadly, that's been ruined by the numerous B/W themes going around, such as Draggy's Onokusu theme.

I'm sure other people don't want to see the Gen V fighting-types either.

Also, it gives us something new to talk about when the games are out, whereas if we have them now, the discussion will inevitably be directed towards them, and we'll run out of activity by the time the games are released, only for a short-lived revival in the inevitable "new game hype" where the servers crash, but everybody isn't too cross as they just play their new game instead of talking about it.

dragoniteuser November 6th, 2010 1:51 PM

Of course, I had this in mind aswell. Thus the dilema...

Amore November 6th, 2010 1:57 PM

You could always have a very simple vote! Once we get more members, obviously. But you could just ask whether people want Gen V pokémon added now or not, and go with the general consensus.

Christopher November 6th, 2010 6:49 PM

In my personal opinion I think we should wait to add the 5th gen

also am I the only one that can't see the pictures around the word "Hooo Hah!!"?

Tribal Ebony November 6th, 2010 8:32 PM

Yo draggy, another Fanclub! Fighting Type? Wowzie, I'd love to join. Count me in!
May I please have Riolu as my partner pokemon?

What is your favourite fighting type pokemon?
My favourite fighting type pokemon would have to be Riolu, since it is cute and fluffy, with long ears!

What is Your Favourite fighting type move?
My favourite fighting type move is Seismic Toss, since in the games, the move looks awesome.

Sorry, but I would not like to be Co-Owner. You see, I am already Co-Owner of a group.
>>>>> *Toxic* Poison Fanclub<<<< But if you really can't find someone, I would maybe consider it....

Makbets November 7th, 2010 12:31 AM

Nope. I also can't see the one on the right of "General PC Rules Apply", but can see the one on the left :S

dragoniteuser November 7th, 2010 3:07 AM

Welcome to both of you.
So far I don't need a co-owner. but when that time comes, Makbets, don't worry, you'll be the first to ask! :)
Also I had problems with those pics, but I wasn't aware they're still not working...
I'll fix them again ASAP!

Don't worry, your thread looks pretty cool! ;)
By the way, I think that we should make new topic!

dragoniteuser November 7th, 2010 5:13 AM

I agree!
Do you guys think it's logical and valid that Flying type moves are super-effective against fightying type Pokemon?

Makbets November 7th, 2010 5:32 AM

Yeah, it's logical and valid, cause Flying Pokemon can give hard damage from the sky!

Amore November 7th, 2010 7:09 AM

Top middle image and the one to the right of "General PC rules apply" still aren't showing for me...

Also, I hate to be fussy, but is it possible to have transparent backgrounds on those images? It makes them look even nicer....

As for flying-types being super-effective....yeah, have you ever tried catching a bird? They're incredibly agile and brute force is too slow. Also, they can fly out of reach, and until the introduction of Aura Sphere, all fighting-type techniques either involved physical contact or evading attacks (Detect), so not being able to reach = being vulnerable.

dragoniteuser November 7th, 2010 7:57 AM

Yeah i suppose. I completly understand that strong(Psychically) Pokemon can cause big damage to a brute, phisically strong, but mentally weak pokemon. But it stil feels that a strong punch would do to a small bird, than a gust of wind would do to it... :/

Amore November 7th, 2010 8:06 AM

Hence how gust is a special move whilst most of the pokémon who learn it have rubbish special attack, thus weakening said Gust attack.

There's probably a reason though....like Hariyama's ability to learn Brine, a water-type technique, at lv.1, being a reference to how sumos apparently throw salt around the ring.

dragoniteuser November 7th, 2010 8:10 AM

Sure, that makes sence, I think...
But then there's super-effective attacks against steel...
Shouldn't your fist hurt is you punch a sheet of steel? LOL

Kikaito plush November 7th, 2010 8:28 AM

Not really since if you have trainned hard then you wouldn't fell much pain.

dragoniteuser November 7th, 2010 8:31 AM

Yeah, I suppose so...
It's probably connected with the fact that some martial art teaches how to brake a brick with your hand...

Amore November 7th, 2010 8:37 AM

It's also a matter of type balance......giving Steel a third weakness xD

Btw, I can see all the images in the OP now!:D

dragoniteuser November 7th, 2010 9:14 AM

Yaaay!!!
Do you suppose there should be another type weak to Fighting type moves?

Christopher November 7th, 2010 9:57 AM

I always thought Fighting had a nice balance having some 3 types weak to it? more than some.

@The fighting Vs. Steel Comments remember these are Pokemon, has your hand ever become consumed in fire before you hit something? Also they could have stronger bones then us a dulled nervous system there to many variables, and it is more than likely just what Amore said "a matter of type balance"

dragoniteuser November 7th, 2010 10:09 AM

Don't worry Gear, I know that we're talking about Pokemon here, but still, many of those weaknesses have a lot of sence! It's perfectly natural that fire is super-effective agains grass...but why flying against Fighting? O.o
But IMO Ghost type attacks should be supper-effective against Fighting...

Amore November 7th, 2010 10:12 AM

Not really....think about it, for somebody who's focus is always on pure physical strength, not all this mental stuff (which is how I attribute Ghost > Psychic, mental blocks), how is a shadow going to affect him/her?

Then again....why should Psychic be super-effective as well?

I guess Ghost isn't super-effective as a matter of type balancing too

dragoniteuser November 7th, 2010 10:18 AM

Well this is how I see it. If a mentally strong Pokemon(Psychic) psychically attacks mentally weak Pokemon(Fighting) it could ware him down, aswell as destroy it completly(mentally speaking).
Also those mentally weak pokemon could get frighten easily, and cause the same effect...

Christopher November 7th, 2010 10:36 AM

but a psychic should be (Physically) weak thus being attacked physically should greatly damage the psychic but lets look at the move confusion in the anime it is usually depicted a a blue light the outlines the body and can make things float/throw them. So if a pokemon who can only attack by closing in and assaulting this move would render a fighting type in somewhat of a Kobayashi Maru (unwinnable situation)

dragoniteuser November 8th, 2010 10:34 AM

New topic guys:
Do you think there should be any status changing Fighting type moves? if so, try to make one up!

Amore November 8th, 2010 11:18 AM

Submission should lower their defense one stage as they're giving in if they're "submitting". To compensate, lower its' base power to 70 and increase accuracy to 90.

Kikaito plush November 8th, 2010 2:18 PM

Semimic toss flich the enemy for one turn cause I say so.

Christopher November 8th, 2010 8:37 PM

Hmm our we making up new moves or effect for old one. Meh I'll do both.

Sky Uppercut- not really a new effect I just think it should deal normal or even super effective damage to flying types

New move:
Head Lock- No Damage--- Puts the foe to sleep, suited for a wake up slapper

dragoniteuser November 9th, 2010 3:18 AM

Not, bad, Gear!
But the rest of you kinda got this topic wrong... Most of you were adding stat cahanges, not status changes. And yes, you were supposed to make up a new move...
OK, my move:
Neck hit - Power 20, Acc 100, paralyzes oponent!

dragoniteuser November 12th, 2010 10:51 AM

Well this place is kinda slow...
So new topic is in order:
Which of the trio is the best in your opinion:
Hitmonlee, Hitmonchan, Hitmontop ?

Christopher November 12th, 2010 12:05 PM

I prefer Hitmonchan due to I like his design better. Plus he has elemental coverage. (with the punches) .

dragoniteuser November 12th, 2010 1:17 PM

Yeah, hitmonchan is great, but I've always prefered Hitmonlee, don't know why though...

Christopher November 12th, 2010 1:35 PM

I really like all of them and was very happy when all of them got a better ability in the 4ht gen I.E Iron Fist, Reckless,Technician. gives them all a much appreciated boost

dragoniteuser November 12th, 2010 1:37 PM

^^ Agreed! Hitmonchan's Iron Fist is Godsent!
And what do you think about Hitmontop? It was kinda left in the shadow, don't you think?

Christopher November 12th, 2010 1:42 PM

Indeed though he was never the pwerhouse of the three by any means. But making abilities strictly for the other two and just giving him technician sure its a step up but still a slap in the face. Oh and with the Special/Physical shift Hitmonchan could finally use the punches for all there worth

dragoniteuser November 12th, 2010 1:48 PM

Yeah, all this is true!
But, in my case, I'm not even gonna talk about it's stats ot ability, I just never really like the Pokemon, and it DOES have a potential IMO!

Which one is the best designed?
http://www.pokemon-paradijs.com/pokedex/image2/107.jpghttp://www.legendarypokemon.net/images/dp_artwork/106.pnghttp://pallettribune.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/08/237Hitmontop.png

Christopher November 12th, 2010 1:53 PM

http://www.pokemon-paradijs.com/pokedex/image2/107.jpgThis one it based on a boxer and thats what it looks like . However all their designs are good IMO.

Dooonerz November 12th, 2010 2:01 PM

Can I join? I <333 Fighting type Pokemon, they rock!:)

What's your favourite fighting Pokemon?
Gallade, it is brilliant in the anime, and is such a powerful source <33

What's your favourite fighting Move?
Focus Punch; devastating!:)

dragoniteuser November 12th, 2010 2:05 PM

Sure you can! Welcome aboard!
What sparring Partner pokemon would you like? Keep in mind that some are already taken...

Yeah I like Hitmonchan's designed best aswell! But Hitmonlee is still my fav out of those three! :)

Me Luvz Teh Monkeyz

Hitmonlee, he looks... more acrobat and powerful, that's why I like him more. Hitmonchan is just a boxer (where's the awesomeness in that?!) and Hitmontop... is just ugly.

Makbets November 13th, 2010 4:28 AM

They all are kinda same....]
Cause HItmonchan is just punching...
Hitmolee is just kicking...
And Hitmontop is just spinning...

dragoniteuser November 13th, 2010 6:09 AM

OK, but how does that make them the same???

daichi111 November 13th, 2010 10:43 AM

Hi I would like to join
Is Breloom taken as a sparring partner? If not can he be mine :)
I really like Fighting types.

What's your favourite fighting Pokemon?
Breloom or Lucario
What's your favourite fighting Move?
Probably Close Combat
Out of the trio(Hitmontop, Hitmonchan, Hitmonlee) My fave is Hitmonchan because he looks awesome and has the coverage with the elemental punches (as Gear said)

dragoniteuser November 13th, 2010 12:55 PM

Sure you can join. I'll add Breelom as your sparring partner!

New topic:
Which Fighting type Move should be the strongest one (highest power), in your opinion?

daichi111 November 13th, 2010 1:24 PM

Yay! Thank You
As for the topic

Which Fighting type Move should be the strongest one (highest power), in your opinion?
I think it should be Focus Punch because you would be holding your focus and land a blow with all your might

vava18 November 13th, 2010 2:17 PM

hello (:

I like to enter in this FC of Fighting.
Why? Well i since i was 5 years old i like to fight, i was in the gym, i know Karate.Next year i going to learn Justu.

Favourite Pokemon: Machamp
Favourite Move: Dynamic Punch.

dragoniteuser November 13th, 2010 2:19 PM

Welcome vava18!
Would you like a sparring Pokemon Partner?

daichi111 November 13th, 2010 2:22 PM

Welcome Vava18 To 'The Dojo' :D

vava18 November 13th, 2010 2:23 PM

i Like to chose Machamp (:

dragoniteuser November 13th, 2010 2:34 PM

OK guys, new topic:
Would you like a Fighting/Flying type Pokemon? If so, how would it look like?

daichi111 November 13th, 2010 2:40 PM

I would because it would just be cool(depending on how they executed it)
It could be like a genetically engineered human to have wings and it became a master in a form of fighting

vava18 November 13th, 2010 2:45 PM

i dont think that is going to be good, because if fight is weakness to Fly, how u use fly moves? and more how do u Fly?

Christopher November 13th, 2010 4:34 PM

I think a flying/fighting would be great although we'd still have the weakness to psychic and a new one against electric. I think maybe a fighting/flying pokemon would be some sort of Buzzard or Vulture thats has evolved some sort of fore arms. No idea how that would look but it was the first thing that came to mind.

Dooonerz November 13th, 2010 4:38 PM

Hmmmm, Fighting/Flying?
A sparrow wearing boxing gloves?
Me thinks so.:)
I wouldn't like the design of that type, it would look deformed ¬.¬

dragoniteuser November 14th, 2010 2:49 AM

I had in mind something like a Machoke with wings...
Also Staraptor could be Fighting/flying Pokemon, sort of as a fighting bird!

vava18 November 14th, 2010 3:01 AM

yh kinda since starptor learn CC, but is a little weird

dragoniteuser November 14th, 2010 3:04 AM

I don't know... IMO Staraptor seems like a brute bird that like to fight, therefore it could be considered as a Fighting type Pokemon. Besides, not all Fighting type Pokemon need to be humanoid... just check gen. V Pokemon...

vava18 November 14th, 2010 3:10 AM

and a question, how starptor use CloseCombat? it the head?

Kikaito plush November 14th, 2010 3:18 AM

Sorry about disappearing my internet died.

Ok staraptor hacks as simple as can be.

dragoniteuser November 14th, 2010 3:20 AM

It probably uses it's talond, beak, who knows, maybe even it's wings...
But it's Pokedex entry clearly staits that it's perfect for close air combat.
Quote:

http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Staraptor_(Pok%C3%A9mon)
Staraptor, the Predator Pokémon. Staraptor has an aggressive temperament and will bravely attack enemies that are far bigger than itself.

Christopher November 14th, 2010 3:28 AM

I don't know for staraptor to be fighting typed it would have to be a little bulkier for me .

dragoniteuser November 14th, 2010 3:59 AM

OK guys new topic:
What Fighting type Pokemon would you indetify yourself with?

Dooonerz November 14th, 2010 4:21 AM

Dynamic Punch, because I'm fast and quick and can easily confuse people.

<33

dragoniteuser November 14th, 2010 4:27 AM

LOL, Doonerz, not Fighting type moves, but Pokemon!

As for me, I'd say I'm Gallade. I'm fast, agile, have a good coordination, know how to use katana, but I can be VERY patient and calm at the same time...

Dooonerz November 14th, 2010 4:41 AM

OOOOOOOOH, Sorry <33
Ummm, I'll say Primape, because I'm bulky, can take a hit and can pack a mean punch!

daichi111 November 14th, 2010 12:08 PM

I think we should try and get a Userbar for our FC

As for the topic I think I identify with Riolu well because I may be small but I can throw a punch

dragoniteuser November 14th, 2010 12:57 PM

Yeah, we could use a couple of fan bars! Does anyone know how to make one?

Christopher November 14th, 2010 4:19 PM

No clue how to make one? Sorry.
I Identify most with Heracross due to I'm very laid back, but can fight if I need to.

vava18 November 14th, 2010 11:55 PM

i can try to make, just tell me how do u want then.

The size, what i need to write.

Kikaito plush November 15th, 2010 2:09 AM

Userbars ?

Could easy make one, hope you don't mind the ninja squirrel twins on it.

dragoniteuser November 15th, 2010 2:21 AM

Sure, you two can make some!
Just make them the usual size (like the one Doonerz has)! Thanks guys!

OK, new topic:
What type combo si the best in your opinion (with Fighting of course!)?

Christopher November 15th, 2010 2:37 AM

either fighting/Bug or psychic I can't decide as bug gives you defense against psychic where as the psychic gives you defense against other fighting/ghost and poisons so kind of a stalemate in my opinion.

Kikaito plush November 15th, 2010 5:52 AM

Fighting/ Bug or Fighting fire. Sorry low on Ideas right now

http://www.userbars.com/i/534431.png

Dooonerz November 15th, 2010 8:59 AM

Fighting/Flying.

No but I think Fighting/Electric would be awesome, I mean Electivire should be Fighting/Electric <33

dragoniteuser November 15th, 2010 10:32 AM

Well Fighting/Ghost would be epic IMO!
Also Curtis tally, could you use that userbar and just make a couple of them with Fighting Type Pokemn on it?

vava18 November 15th, 2010 12:52 PM

well i want a Fighting and Water, il be a good combination. and can take many opponent down

dragoniteuser November 15th, 2010 1:08 PM

There already is a Water/Fighting - Poliwrath.
But I agree, it's typing is great!

Tribal Ebony November 15th, 2010 10:09 PM

Well, in Platinum, against Cynthia's Togekiss, I used close combat with my Staraptor. But Togekiss killed me with Sky Attack..... Weird....

dragoniteuser November 16th, 2010 2:29 AM

Well it's really not that weird since Togekiss get's STAB for Sky attack, and Staraptor deals just normal damage to Togekiss with Close Damage, not to mention it drops it's defence again and again!

OK, new topic:
If you could alter any Fighting type movem which one would you change and how?

Ok, Reshiram Man, you're in the club, but unfortunately for you, I really don't need a co-owner at this point. Sorry...

@Curtis talli It's OK, but could you make a couple of more with black background and just a couple of fighting type Pokemon? thnx!

At topic:
Well IMO, Mach punch should be unevodiable attack (cause of it's speed...), and Focus Punch should be even stronger IMO!

Christopher November 18th, 2010 10:23 AM

^ But then Breloom could wipe out around at least half a persons team using the old Spore/Focus Punch combo

dragoniteuser November 18th, 2010 11:14 AM

I know! :D
New topic guys:
