daichi111 January 30th, 2011 1:51 AM

I haven't really been looking at the 5th gen pokemon that much. But Zuruggu(The dark/fighting one that looks like it's wearing trousers :P) looks pretty cool. New moves, I'm not too sure about. I don't really look at the new gen until it comes out and I've bought it.

Kikaito plush January 30th, 2011 2:32 AM

I've not really got into much gen V fighting pokemon.

Only one I have grown to like is Dageki. Don't know much about his moveset yet.

the reason I like him- He's wearing Karate gear like my Ninja Squirrels in my profile.

dragoniteuser January 31st, 2011 7:08 AM

Well this topic is boring, I can see that...
So here's another:
If you could recolour any Fighting Pokemon, which one would you, and how?

SmashBrony February 1st, 2011 12:27 PM

Well, from top of my head,
On Super Smash Bros. Brawl, I'd recolor Lucario's red coloring to where his blue parts are TRULY red.

Hope this counts.

daichi111 February 2nd, 2011 8:49 AM

I wouldn't recolour any because I think they look good the way the are.

Totodile12345 February 11th, 2011 6:54 PM

i agree with daichi they all look good the way they are

dragoniteuser February 12th, 2011 1:53 AM

OK then, new topic:
What do you think is the best item to give to a fighting pokemon?

Totodile12345 February 12th, 2011 4:54 AM

ummm whats the name of that belt........................... i forgot :(

dragoniteuser February 12th, 2011 5:32 AM

You mean the Blackbelt?
It's OK, i guess, but I had something else in mind...
How about Focus band?

Totodile12345 February 12th, 2011 6:37 AM

yes thats the one focus band is good for fighting type pokemon that are more on the offensive side i think black belt because its more balanced

daichi111 February 13th, 2011 10:30 AM

Well it depends. Focus Band would be quite good to keep him alive but it depends on what the pokemon is trying to do. For example: If a Hitmonchan has Ice Punch, Thunderpunch, Fire Punch and Close Combat, It should have a Black Belt for the Increase in damage to all the super effective hits.
But If a Gallade has Night Slash, Slash, Leaf Blade and Psycho Cut it should have a Razor Claw/Scope Lens to boost the Critical rate even higher

So basically it all depends.

Christopher February 18th, 2011 2:11 PM

Sorry about the inactivity guys.
anyway My Hitmonchan always has the Expert Belt which ups the power of Supper Effective moves (black belt increases fighting typed moves).
My other Figghting types including and their items are Gallade-Razor Claw,Medicham-Fist Plate,Breloom-Toxic Orb,Hairyama-Focus band (Mainly to use rest for maximum result),Toxicoak-Black Sludge (of Course)

Nooo!! I'm not letting this club die! D:

It depends on the type of Pokemon, like Daichi said. But I usually prefer giving them an expert belt or a black belt, unless I'm heading in for a competitive battle. In that case, I look into my strategy and then decide on the item.

dragoniteuser March 19th, 2011 11:22 AM

Well thanks Regeneration...
I kinda got the impression that people are getting tired of this club...
How about a new topic?
Well since we have the Unova here, what's your favourite Unova Fighting Pokemon?

Oh, do you guys think we should add gen. V Pokemon now?

Christopher March 19th, 2011 3:39 PM

nah lets wait just a tad bit longer :D

My personal favorites are http://floatzel.net/pokemon/black-white/sprites/images/620.png and http://floatzel.net/pokemon/black-white/sprites/images/560.png Mienshao is a great pokemon what with Regenerator and the ability to use special moves as well as Physical makes it a great asset to any team to bad you get it kinda late. Scrafty is also very useful, if you breed Dragon Dance on to it make sure it has the Moxie ability and it is almost impossible to stop.

There is also this http://floatzel.net/pokemon/black-white/sprites/images/534.png while its stats a great a clear threat in the meta game, I just hate its design and its name I mean Conkeldurr hat the hell is that?

For some reason, I find most of the Gen V fighting types' design to be unimpressive. I liked Gutdurr and even used it in my team, but I got really annoyed when I got to know that it would evolve only by trading. XD I still like Scraggy partly because of the Anime. :P

Since most people have played B/W, everyone should be familiar with the new Pokemon. I say we add them now.

dragoniteuser March 20th, 2011 2:18 AM

Yeah, I think it's about time we add them too.
As for favourites, I like the idea oh Throh http://img.pokemondb.net/sprites/black-white/shiny/throh.png and Sawk http://pokemon.marriland.com/images/bw/sprites/front/norm/539_sawk_front_norm.png, but their names are terrible! Sereously, what were they thinking when they were giving names to all gen V pokemon?!

daichi111 March 27th, 2011 12:54 PM

My fave Gen V fighting type is Scraggy (Haven't evolved mine yet.) He just looks so cool and with the moxie ability, he is pretty powerful.

Regeneration April 22nd, 2011 12:38 AM

New topic: Most people might have played Pokemon B/W by now, so which Fighting Pokemon did you guys use in your team? Did you like it or dumped it for another one? xD

I used Gutdurr for a while, but later when I found out how amazing Scrafty was, I went for Scraggy. I found it pretty useful since it had immunity to Psychic types and 2x damage only from Flying and Fighting types. Mienshao is also quite a threat when it comes to competitive battling, along with a few others. Battling wise, Gen 5 Fighting types are quite impressive. Blissey and Snorlax can never roam free. O.O

dragoniteuser April 22nd, 2011 1:36 AM

Well actually, I haven't played it yet... :(
Can't find a decent working ROM.

But in general, I always have a fighting pokemon in my team! They are always a great asset, and not just for sweeping!

SmashBrony April 22nd, 2011 10:22 AM

I yet to play B/W, but I think Conkeldurr will prove to be my favorite.

CONKELDURR SMASH!!!
