Kikaito plush November 7th, 2010 8:28 AM

Not really since if you have trainned hard then you wouldn't fell much pain.

dragoniteuser November 7th, 2010 8:31 AM

Yeah, I suppose so...
It's probably connected with the fact that some martial art teaches how to brake a brick with your hand...

Amore November 7th, 2010 8:37 AM

It's also a matter of type balance......giving Steel a third weakness xD

Btw, I can see all the images in the OP now!:D

dragoniteuser November 7th, 2010 9:14 AM

Yaaay!!!
Do you suppose there should be another type weak to Fighting type moves?

Christopher November 7th, 2010 9:57 AM

I always thought Fighting had a nice balance having some 3 types weak to it? more than some.

@The fighting Vs. Steel Comments remember these are Pokemon, has your hand ever become consumed in fire before you hit something? Also they could have stronger bones then us a dulled nervous system there to many variables, and it is more than likely just what Amore said "a matter of type balance"

dragoniteuser November 7th, 2010 10:09 AM

Don't worry Gear, I know that we're talking about Pokemon here, but still, many of those weaknesses have a lot of sence! It's perfectly natural that fire is super-effective agains grass...but why flying against Fighting? O.o
But IMO Ghost type attacks should be supper-effective against Fighting...

Amore November 7th, 2010 10:12 AM

Not really....think about it, for somebody who's focus is always on pure physical strength, not all this mental stuff (which is how I attribute Ghost > Psychic, mental blocks), how is a shadow going to affect him/her?

Then again....why should Psychic be super-effective as well?

I guess Ghost isn't super-effective as a matter of type balancing too

dragoniteuser November 7th, 2010 10:18 AM

Well this is how I see it. If a mentally strong Pokemon(Psychic) psychically attacks mentally weak Pokemon(Fighting) it could ware him down, aswell as destroy it completly(mentally speaking).
Also those mentally weak pokemon could get frighten easily, and cause the same effect...

Christopher November 7th, 2010 10:36 AM

but a psychic should be (Physically) weak thus being attacked physically should greatly damage the psychic but lets look at the move confusion in the anime it is usually depicted a a blue light the outlines the body and can make things float/throw them. So if a pokemon who can only attack by closing in and assaulting this move would render a fighting type in somewhat of a Kobayashi Maru (unwinnable situation)

dragoniteuser November 8th, 2010 10:34 AM

New topic guys:
Do you think there should be any status changing Fighting type moves? if so, try to make one up!

Amore November 8th, 2010 11:18 AM

Submission should lower their defense one stage as they're giving in if they're "submitting". To compensate, lower its' base power to 70 and increase accuracy to 90.

Kikaito plush November 8th, 2010 2:18 PM

Semimic toss flich the enemy for one turn cause I say so.

Christopher November 8th, 2010 8:37 PM

Hmm our we making up new moves or effect for old one. Meh I'll do both.

Sky Uppercut- not really a new effect I just think it should deal normal or even super effective damage to flying types

New move:
Head Lock- No Damage--- Puts the foe to sleep, suited for a wake up slapper

dragoniteuser November 9th, 2010 3:18 AM

Not, bad, Gear!
But the rest of you kinda got this topic wrong... Most of you were adding stat cahanges, not status changes. And yes, you were supposed to make up a new move...
OK, my move:
Neck hit - Power 20, Acc 100, paralyzes oponent!

dragoniteuser November 12th, 2010 10:51 AM

Well this place is kinda slow...
So new topic is in order:
Which of the trio is the best in your opinion:
Hitmonlee, Hitmonchan, Hitmontop ?

Christopher November 12th, 2010 12:05 PM

I prefer Hitmonchan due to I like his design better. Plus he has elemental coverage. (with the punches) .

dragoniteuser November 12th, 2010 1:17 PM

Yeah, hitmonchan is great, but I've always prefered Hitmonlee, don't know why though...

Christopher November 12th, 2010 1:35 PM

I really like all of them and was very happy when all of them got a better ability in the 4ht gen I.E Iron Fist, Reckless,Technician. gives them all a much appreciated boost

dragoniteuser November 12th, 2010 1:37 PM

^^ Agreed! Hitmonchan's Iron Fist is Godsent!
And what do you think about Hitmontop? It was kinda left in the shadow, don't you think?

Christopher November 12th, 2010 1:42 PM

Indeed though he was never the pwerhouse of the three by any means. But making abilities strictly for the other two and just giving him technician sure its a step up but still a slap in the face. Oh and with the Special/Physical shift Hitmonchan could finally use the punches for all there worth

dragoniteuser November 12th, 2010 1:48 PM

Yeah, all this is true!
But, in my case, I'm not even gonna talk about it's stats ot ability, I just never really like the Pokemon, and it DOES have a potential IMO!

Which one is the best designed?
