Super Mario Bros 3 fan remake + other stuff

Take a look at this. It's just amazing, there really isn't any other way to describe it. The patch is supposed to be out tomorrow.

Sydian November 12th, 2010 8:54 AM

Oh holy balls that looks amazing. I won't be playing it for lack of being good at Mario games, but I'm definitely gonna look at some LPs for it. I assume there will be some. But AHHHH that looks great. I'm blown away.

razzbat November 12th, 2010 11:38 PM

that is pretty impressive, though i still haven't beaten nsmb wii so it may be awhile before i give this a shot.

SacredMiKeY November 12th, 2010 11:47 PM

So why exactly are worlds 5-7 mixed up?

ALL OF MY FANBOY RELATED DREAMS ARE COMING TRUE~

TheAppleFreak November 13th, 2010 6:30 AM

That looks incredible. I'm downloading this on my flashcart now.

Luck November 13th, 2010 7:50 AM

I hope this patch remembers to bring fun to the game.

Captain Fabio November 13th, 2010 8:52 AM

I am very impressed with this fan remake. It looks very professional and just simply, awesome.

JakeyBoy November 13th, 2010 9:12 AM

Meh. I'd rather be playing it on NSMBW. The guy's dedicated, but it's just a layout hack. Not even custom layouts.

TRIFORCE89 November 13th, 2010 3:04 PM

SMB3's levels are short. It's a great game, but that's a major flaw.

That coupled with NSMB's physics makes this a total blah for me.

SacredMiKeY November 13th, 2010 3:06 PM

I'd honestly rather play the original, because raccoon/Tanooki are my fav powerups.

I have to agree. This doesn't really interest me.

However, I'm downloading that Sonic demo right now.

countryemo November 14th, 2010 10:36 AM

What do you play that NSMB3 And Sonic Remix on?? They both look Incredable lol.
i never touched my NSMB wii. Andwait, one major reason I loved the 3rd is b.c of the racoon. =O
and its not there? aww

Elite Overlord LeSabre™ November 14th, 2010 11:07 AM

It looks impressive, but a) I don't have a flashcard and b) the lack of the racoon/tanooki disappoints me. I mean, that's what made SMB3 so awesome, IMO.

Yeah, I've been playing it for the past couple of days and the physics is really annoying. The hack overall ain't too bad though.

You can play it on an emulator if you want, there are patches for that too.

Cello November 14th, 2010 7:30 PM

Overall, it was a nice try, but this isn't really something I wanted to see remade. Not like this anyways.
I keep looking at it thinking "Yeah, but this isn't the original." :|

To me, as said in a above post

It's not much of a remake... they just made the maps. :\

Kind of sad that people call it a 'remake' really.

liketoys0000 November 14th, 2010 9:33 PM

original games are classic,I like it

A Pixy November 15th, 2010 4:30 AM

I always thought of the NSMB games kind of like spiritual successors to Mario 3.

Which confuses me as it had a sequel (a far superior one, mind you), but New Super Mario Bros. and New Super Mario Bros. Wii both had similar world designs, similar concepts (enemies on the map) and generally, you could see what Nintendo was going for.

But this is just a level swap. :U

Now, Sonic Fan Remix is DEFINITELY a remake of Sonic 2. Graphically, it's different, in terms of gameplay, it's the same old Sonic 2 I play on a regular basis. n_n

@Kirbychu: I have to wonder what Sonic Demo's you're talking about. I have the Sonic Rush E3 and the Sonic Colors NC demos. They're fun. n_n

I believe Kirbychu was talking about the demo for that Sonic remake...
