(Jericho runs up and scratches Chikorita, doing a good amount of damage)
http://i210.photobucket.com/albums/bb187/Minirizzle/Chikorita.png 7/21 Kass: Chika, use tackle (Chikorita's attack does an average amount of damage) http://www.pokesplash.net/pokedex-hgss/sprite.php?natid=158 16/21 Totodile shakes it off and scratches Chikorita again, its a critical hit, and Chikorita faints. >_> (decided I might as well end this battle since its a scratch tackle scratch fest) Totodile is now Level 6! Learned Water Gun! Kass: Wow, you're quite the trainer! Here's 3 Pokeballs, maybe you can use them? --------------------------------------------- As you walk out into Route 29, you see three wild pokemon. http://www.pokemonelite2000.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/09/19.png (Lv. 2) Tail Whip Tackle http://www.pokemonelite2000.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/09/16.png (Level 3) Tackle http://www.pokemonelite2000.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/09/161.png (Lv. 3) Foresight Scratch If you throw a poke ball the other two will probably get scared and run away. So, which one do you want to catch? Rattata, Pidgey or Sentret? Bag: Potion-3 Poke Ball-3 |
I'm going to have to say Pidgey for the following reason.
- It can learn Fly, which will be helpful later. - Will help us with the Second Gym in Azalea town and the Fifth Gym in Cianwood City. - It's final form, Pidgeot, is way stronger than the other two. - This may not occur during the story, but through tutoring, Pidgeot can learn Heat Wave (Fire), Ominous Wind (Ghost), and Twister (Dragon) |
Yeah, definately get Pidgey.
|
Pidgey by far. I haven't used the thing since the original Silver, and I really should catch one in SS. It's a good Pokemon, and can learn MirrorMove. Primarily useless unless you're against a Dragon or Ghost type, but it's still comical.
|
Pidgey. Ignore the other options.

Pidgey was sucsessfully caught! Next Poster gets to name it! After catching pidgey you decide you should train one of your Pokemon 2 levels. Which one do you want to train? Train TOTODILE? Train PIDGEY? Party: http://static.marriland.com/images/dp/icons/158.gifJericho Lv. 6-Scratch, Leer, Water Gun http://static.marriland.com/images/dp/icons/016.gifLv. 3-Tackle Bag: Potion-3 Poke Ball-3 |
Uh, ok, let's go with 'Wings'.
I really just came here to check out all the CYOAs that sprang up overnight, but this one looks pretty good. Diablerie approves. :) -_- As long as it doesn’t run mine out of business. -_- |
Quote:
and thanks, I planned it out to be unique. |
Let's train Totodile to start off with since the first gym will be a Flying Gym and Wings won't be much help with the same types there.
|
Hmm...it does depend on the game...
If this is based off G/S, then I'd suggest Wings. If it was based off HG/SS, I'd say Jericho. HOWEVER Seeing as sentret can't learn Foresight in G/S (not to mention how crippling that would be to movesets), I'm guessing that this is based off HG/SS, and therefore we should Train Jericho. |
Jericho shall be trained.
|
Hmm...
Well, wings is at a comparitavely low level, and it would be useful to keep the Pokemon at a balanced level. Let's train Wings! |
Okay!
http://www.pokesplash.net/pokedex-hgss/sprite.php?natid=158After some training, Jericho leveled up to Lv. 8 and learned Rage! As you stroll down route 30, youngster Joey approaches you. Joey: Hey guess what, my rattata, its in the top percentage of all rattata, like stronger than all the other rattata! Let's have a battle now, kid! Trainer: Alright, let's just get this over with. (Joey Sends out his top percentage Rattata) http://www.pokemonelite2000.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/09/19.png Lv. 4 19/19 You send out Jericho http://www.pokesplash.net/pokedex-hgss/sprite.php?natid=158 Lv. 8 26/26 What will you do? Use SCRATCH Use LEER Use WATER GUN Use RAGE Switch to Wings Party: http://static.marriland.com/images/dp/icons/158.gifLv. 8 Jericho-Scratch, Leer, Water Gun, Rage http://static.marriland.com/images/dp/icons/016.gifLv. 3 Wings-Tackle Bag: Poke Ball-3 Potion-3 |
Water gun. ...Nuff' said.
|
Water Gun, ENOUGH said. I hate those paraphrases <_<
|
Water Gun to make a decision
|

Joey's Rattata beats you to the punch and uses quick attack! http://www.pokesplash.net/pokedex-hgss/sprite.php?natid=158 22/26 Jericho then uses water gun and blasts Joey's Rattata http://www.pokemonelite2000.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/09/19.png 12/19 What will you do next? What will you do? Use SCRATCH Use LEER Use WATER GUN Use RAGE Switch to Wings Use a POTION Party: http://static.marriland.com/images/dp/icons/158.gifLv. 8 Jericho-Scratch, Leer, Water Gun, Rage http://static.marriland.com/images/dp/icons/016.gifLv. 3 Wings-Tackle Bag: Poke Ball-3 Potion-3 |
Let's use Water Gun.
We get STAB and it's more powerful than Tackle. |
Get Jericho to us water gun again.
|
Water gun. STAB, most powerful attack etc etc.
|
Switch to Wings so it can deal the finishing blow. Wings needs the exp and at the point they're at i doubt ratatta can kill it in one hit unless it's still weakened which Wings wasn't before it was caught.
|
I'll say Water Gun, just to make a decision :P
