Choose Your Own Adventure-Isshu (Isshu Spoilers)
Welcome to choose your own adventure- Isshu Version! There's one set in Johto, Sinnoh and Hoenn, and there was one in Kanto, so why shouldn't there be an Isshu one?
Before you continue reading, there will be Spoilers about Generation V. Gameplay: There's a Sinnoh, Johto and Hoenn version, you should already know the rules. But if you haven't seen them, I'll post a scenario and some options, you choose an option, first option with 3 votes wins. Then, I'll post what'll happen if we do the winning option, and post some more options. Only I can post more options. I have also decided to put tips in every now and then. If you follow them, they could help you on your journey. Rules: Follow all pokecommunity rules that apply to this section Only I can post new options Once an option has got 3 votes, voting is closed Prologue: It has been 20 years since Isshu has been discovered by the other regions, and the gyms are run by the children of previous leaders, but with the same team. I'll post the Gym Leader teamlists when we get to them. You're a child living in Isshu, and today is your 10th birthday. That means you can get your Starter pokemon! First Scenario: You wake up, and your mum tells you there's a package downstairs adressed to you and your friends, Amy and John. Your mum also says it was sent by Professor Araragi. However, your mum doesn't know what's inside. What do you do? First Set Of Options: Run downstairs and rip the parcel open Run downstairs and run outside to play, ignoring the parcel Play some games on your Wii and ignore your mum Tip: Choosing the second answer on this one and the next three will net you an alternate starter, which could put a twist on the entire game. |
ill go for option 1 i would like to go for option 2 but im to nosy not to look in the parcel
|
I'm going with Option 1, like Polizard.
' I can already see playing the Wii would make the story longer than it has to be, and may even end up with Cheren or Belle opening the parcel. Same with option 2 since we may edven encounter Cheren and/or Belle who already have their Pokemon while ours could possibly be still in the parcel. So option 1. |
It looks like it's option 1 then!
|
Option 1.
I might of chosen the wii option if I didn't find it so boring with Wii Fit and stuff XD |
why does there have to be 5 of these :S
inb4 one for Fiore, Orre, and Almia. Anyhow option 2 because if we get the starter choice than all the fanboys will end up picking smugleaf. |
I casn't believe you didn't want ... as your starter!
Sorry Karpman, Running downstairs and ripping the parcel open already has 3 votes. So that it is!
Also, since you didn't choose option 2, you broke the chain of a alternate starter. But, since I'm nice, I'm gonna give another Alternate Starter option. The options you need to choose to get an alernate starter are option 4, then option 3, then option 2, then option 1, then option 1 again. Scenario: You run downstairs and rip open the parcel, not even letting your mother, Amy or John help you open it. You find three pokeballs inside. One has a flame mark on, one has a rain drop mark on, and the last has a leaf mark on. Which one do you pick? Or do you pick any at all? Options: The pokeball with the Flame Mark The pokeball with the Rain Drop mark The pokeball with the Leaf mark Run outside to play |
The one with the leaf mark.
Forgot about this XD |
The one with the rain drop mark
If this Mijumaru's anything like the one from the anime, we'll be very good friends :D |
@Meduza
Did I ever say Mijumaru was in that ball? I just said it had a rain drop mark on. Also, I'm gonna vote for running outside to play. OK, the current tally of votes: The pokeball with the Flame Mark-0 The pokeball with the Rain Drop mark-1 The pokeball with the Leaf mark-1 Run outside to play-1 |
Wait what? So they might not be in there? Dayum.
|
The pokeball with the Rain Drop mark. I hope Professor Araragi didn't try to fool us and put Tsutarja in it. :S
|
Quote:
|
Since Raindrop has two votes, I'll take that too. I just hope it is Mijumaru (Or Oshawott as we should be calling it)
|
im gonna make a prediction
raindrops gonna have hiyappu the worst monkey of them all imo of course |
So, we're gonna pick the pokeball with the Rain Drop Mark on it. I'm gonna use sprites to show you the gen 5 pokemon in this CYOA.
@Zen Don't worry, it's not gonna be Hiyappu! Scenario You pick up the pokeball with the Rain Drop Mark on it. Amy picks up the one with the Leaf mark, and John picks up the one with the Flame Mark. You decide let the pokemon inside the pokeball out. It is revealed to be a Koaruhie! http://archives.bulbagarden.net/media/upload/1/1c/Spr_5b_580.png Amy lets out her pokemon too, a Shikijika!http://archives.bulbagarden.net/media/upload/7/7a/585.png John decides to join in by letting his pokemon out too. It is a Darumakka! http://archives.bulbagarden.net/media/upload/d/dd/554.pngAmy and John both want to battle you. What do you do? Opponent Amy http://archives.bulbagarden.net/media/upload/7/7a/585.png Shikijika LV5 Tackle, Camouflague, Growl Opponent John http://archives.bulbagarden.net/media/upload/d/dd/554.png Darumakka LV5 Tackle, Rollout Options: 1. Accept Amy's challenge, but not John's 2. Accept John's challenge, but not Amy's 3. Battle John then Amy 4. Battle Amy then John 5. Do a Battle Royale (Threeway battle) 6. Accept neither challenge and run outside to play Your things Your pokemon: Spoiler:
Your items: Spoiler:
Also, next voter gets to nickname our Koaruhie! |
I vote 3 battle John then Amy.
I'll let the next person nickname it. |
Imma call it Koaruhie (So when it evolves, it's name changes too to Swanna)!
I choose Accept John's challenge, but not Amy's We have a type advantage against Darukakka, a Fire Type, but not against Shikijika, a Grass Type. And remember, we're a Water Type. Koaruhie won't know a Flying Attack until Level 9, Wing Attack, while we have a Water Attack, Water Gun, as a start move. And I'm just assuming we're starting at Level 1 or 5 since this is a Starting Pokemon which has been untouched. |
BATTLE ROYALE
^movie reference if any one gets it plus 10 cool points #5 |
All we got was an ugly duck? I thought Reshiram was gonna be in there!
Lol, anyway, i say Battle John, then Amy! |
Hell yeah!!! Battle Royale!!!
|
To end this decision, I'm gonna say 5. Do a Battle Royale (Threeway battle)
Scenario You, Amy and John decide to have a Battle Royale. However, your room is not big enough to hold the battle, so you and your friends go outside. Once you are outside, you and your friends argue about which person should make the first move. Eventually, they decide you should make the first move. However, there is some shaking grass on the route above. You point it out to Amy and John, but thy ignore you, saying it is just your imagination. What do you do? Options 1. Let Amy have the first move 2. Let John have the first move 3. Water Sport to wet the battlefield 4. Water Gun on Shikijika 5. Water Gun on Darumakka 6. Water Gun countershield! 7. Check out the shaking grass, regardless of the Battle Royale Opponents Opponent Amy http://archives.bulbagarden.net/media/upload/7/7a/585.png Shikijika LV5 Tackle, Camouflague, Growl Opponent John http://archives.bulbagarden.net/media/upload/d/dd/554.png Darumakka LV5 Tackle, Rollout Your things Your Pokemon: Spoiler:

7. Check out the shaking grass, regardless of the Battle Royale
Since both of them are so rude and ignored me, I'm walking out on them. I wanna see their reaction xD. |
Check out the shaking grass of course!
|
SHAKING GRASS!
Sounds more interesting than battling with those snobs. |
It looks like we check out the shaking grass!
Scenario You decide to run up onto route 1 and check out the shaking grass. "Hey wait!" Amy and John call to you, but you ignore them. You keep running towards route one, followed by your Koaruhie. Just before you step into the tall grass, you hear a lady call to you. "Where so you think you're going? Do you know the tall grass is dangerous if you don't have a Pokemon with you?" she said. "Can't you see my Koaruhie?" you reply. "Well, I think I have something that could help you with your quest to become Pokemon Champion. Here, take these," she replied, handing you 5 Pokeballs. "You can use them to catch Pokemon. Do you want me to show you ho to do that?" she said. You say that you do not want to learn how to catch Pokemon. You continue running towards the shaking grass. Soon, you see something in the shaking grass. It is brown, and it has a blue tip on a tuft of fur on it's head. It also has brown ears. But that's all you can see of it. What do you do? Options Initiate battle with it, of course! Run away from it Shout for Amy and John, telling them to come over and have a look Check out that disk beside you Your Pokemon: Spoiler:

|
Battle with it, then you can battle the other two later with an advantage.

Battle!
I bet it's a Yooterii. |

Scenario "Come out of the grass, whoever you are!" you shout at the thing in the grass. It comes out fully. You can see it has blue spots over its red eyes, with blue eyelids. It has a black collar of fur around its neck and it also has blue 'socks' on each of it's feet. You think it looks cute, until it gives you an intimidating growl. The growl sounded like this: "Raaaaa!" Your friends, Amy and John, wonder where you are. What do you do? Options 1. Run back to Amy and John 2. Step back a little in fear of the creature 3. Command Koaruhie into the battle 4. Check out that disk beside you 5. Call for Amy and John, telling them to come to you Your Things Your Pokemon: Spoiler:

Is it a shiny Zorua? That's what it seems like to me.
Eh... Zorua... have to say I'm not a big fan. Buuuuuuut send Koaruhie into battle. |

Scenario You bravely command Koaruhie into the battle. As soon as you do, a bunch of Chrononekos appear! http://archives.bulbagarden.net/media/upload/8/84/Spr_5b_509.pngThey gang up on you while the unknown Pokemon steps back. You tell Koaruhie to Water Gun the Chrononekos away. The unknown Pokemon steps forward. You finally see it for enough time to recognise it. It is a Zorua, but it doesn't have the normal colours. As you have been away for quite a long time, Amy and John rush towards you, followed by their Shikijika and Darumakka. They recognise that the Zorua is shiny, igniting argument about who should catch it. What do you do? Options 1. Do a battle Royale to decide who should catch it 2. Stop the argument, saying Amy should catch it 3. Stop the argument, saying John should catch it 4. Sneak away from the argument and initiate battle from behind the Zorua 5. Tell Koaruhie to Water Gun your friends away, then battle the Zorua Your things Your Pokemon: Spoiler:

5. Tell Koaruhie to Water Gun your friends away, then battle the Zorua
Screw them since they were so rude earlier, and attacking the poor Zorua from behind wouldn't be fair :(. I just wish there was an option to let Zorua flee, I feel bad for it. |
Water gun friends away and start battle with Zorua.
I may not be a big fan, but there's no way in hell that I'm letting either of those to get it! |
Water gun friends away and start battle with Zorua.
No way their getting Zorua. |
Scenario
You tell Koaruhie to Water Gun Amy and John away. A Water Gun to the face doesn't harm them, but it scares them away. Now, you, Koaruhie and Zorua have some battle time alone. First, you tell Koaruhie to Water Gun Zorua. It does quite a bit of damage. The Zorua responds with a Leer, lowering Koaruhie's Defense. It then uses Scratch, doing a fair bit of damge. Your Koaruhie uses Water Gun, knocking it back. It now has half its's HP left. What do you do? Options 1. Throw a Pokeball 2. Run away from it 3. One last Water Gun, Koaruhie! 4. Let Zorua run away 5. Check out that disk beside you Your things Your Pokemon: Spoiler:

Throw a Pokeball
We need that Pokemon. |
Throw a Pokeball. Zoroa wouldn't be my favourite Pokemon, but it's still kind'a awesome! And the fact it's a shiny makes it a nice trophy catch.
|
Might as well end it now and say trow a pokeball.
|
Throw a Poke Ball.
I'm just worried if this is something like Pokemon Movie 13, there might be a very angry mother Zoroark... |
Scenario
With all your might, you hurl the Pokeball at the Zorua. The Zorua is absorbed into the red and white ball. One shake... Two shakes... Three shakes... And the Pokeball bust open, letting the Zorua run around again. What do you do? Options 1. Throw another Pokeball 2. Tell Koaruhie to use Water Gun 3. Run away 4. Help your frineds up, and let them catch Zorua 5. Check out that disk beside you Your things Your Pokemon: Spoiler:

1. Throw another Pokeball- Probably wouldn't work either
2. Tell Koaruhie to use Water Gun- Makes most sense 3. Run away- A little late now 4. Help your frineds up, and let them catch Zorua- Forget it 5. Check out that disk beside you - I'm curious, but I'll check it out after. So I'll use Water Gun. |

|
Water gun for the win. Most logical.
|
water gun. definately water gun. don't attack it after that though. you don't want to kill it/make it faint.
|
Scenario
You command Koaruhie to use Water Gun on Zorua, knowing that another Pokeball would be useless. It spits a powerful jet of water out of its beak at the brown fox. The Water Gun does quite a lot of damage. Then, Zorua begins to glow white. 'Uh oh!' you say, as you think Zorua may be evolving. But, when it stops glowing, it has stayed as a Zorua, only it lost its shiny colouration. It looks really tired. What do you do now? Options 1. Koaruhie! Water Gun! 2. "Pokeball go" 3. Run away 4. Check out that disk beside you 5. Run away 6. Help your friends up Your things Your Pokemon: Spoiler:

Pokeball. Zoroark is too good of a lead to pass up.
That and having an extra pokemon will make the battle against the friends so much easier. |
Poke Ball.
But why did Zorua lose it's shiny condition? This can't happen in the anime or the games ._. |
Pokeball it is then. I'm guessing the shiny loss was to do with its illusions?
|
Scenario
You hurl another Pokeball at the now non shiny Zorua. The black fox get sucked in, and the Pokeball shakes once... Shakes twice... Shakes thrice... And stops shaking! You had caught the Zorua! You run over to the Pokeball and pick it up, pleased with your first catch. However, a Chrononeko had stolen the disk beside you while your eyes were fixed on the Pokeball. "Hey you! What about our Battle Royale you said we'd have?" Amy and John yelled, their Pokemon by their side. What do you do? Options 1. Let your new Pokemon battle 2. Let Koaruhie battle 3. Decline the Battle Royale 4. Stand still 5. Rush home 6. Continue onto Route 2 Your Things Your Pokemon: Spoiler:

Next poster gets to nickname Zorua! |
I think that since the previous Pokemon has no nickname, it would be a little odd to nickname this one... Anywho...
"Koaruhie, let's go!" |
Decline the battle royale. I've had enough of these people.
|
Decline.
I never want to see those two again. |
Decline
These guys don't know what to do. |
Scenario
You decline the Battle Royale. "What? You said you wanted to do the Battle Royale. Well, we have no choice now," Amy and John reply. They nod to their Pokemon, who attack Koaruhie. What do you do? Options 1. Tell Koaruhie to fight back 2. Tell Zorua to attack Darumakka and Shikijika 3. Tell both Koaruhie and Zorua to attack 4. Return Koaruhie to its Pokeball 5. Run away with Zorua, abandoning Koaruhie 6. Accept the Battle Royale 7. Call for help Your Things Your Pokemon: Spoiler:

tell both zorua and koaruhie to attack.
At this point, i don't consider them friends anymore. |
Sorry for the post delay, had a busy RP to tend to.
Scenario "Koaruhie, Zorua! Attack!" you yell. Koaruhie goes into a Water Gun on Darumakka, and Zorua uses Scratch on Shikijika. Darumakka responds with a Rollout on Koaruhie and Zorua. Zorua faints from the hit. You return Zorua to its Pokeball. You only have Koaruhie left. What do you do? Options 1. Tell Koaruhie to Water Gun Darumakka 2. Tell Koaruhie to Water Gun Shikijika 3. Run away with Koaruhie 4. Run away without Koaruhie Your Things Your Pokemon: Spoiler:

I'm going to keep this alive by agreeing with ynfiniti.
1. Tell Koaruhie to water gun Darumakka. |
(Lets just end this.)
1. Tell Koaruhie to water gun Darumakka. |
Yeah,You probably wouldnt be able to escape with a 2 on 1 battle ,so Water Gun.
|
Scenario
"Koaruhie! Water Gun Darumakka!" you cry. Your Koaruhie lets out a blast of water at Darumakka blasting it away. This leaves you open for a basic tackle from Shikijika. The tackle knocks Koaruhie back. Koaruhie has enough energy to attack, so you command a Water Gun on Darumakka again. Your tired duck Pokemon blasts a jet of water at Darumakka, knocking it out. It's 1 on 1 now, and both Pokemon are tired. What doyou do? Options 1. "Koaruhie, Water Sport!" 2. "Koaruhie, Water Gun!" 3. Return Koaruhie to it's Pokeball 4. Flee the battle without Koaruhie 5. Physically tackle Shikijika yourself Your Pokemon Spoiler:

Meh.
Attack the deer physically. |
Physically attack lol. Final Dest., remember me?
|
I say use Water Gun, as that's all you really can do, unless you wanna resort to cheap tricks like those two.
|
Just for fun, I'm going to say Water Gun, so the next poster decides.
|
Water Gun.
If you waste your time on Water Sport they get a free hit in. That free hit could kill you. Tackle lacks the STAB so it's not likely to finish your opponent off. |
I would check out the shaking grass because it could be a rare pokemon for the area.
|
...What?
Tackle the deer!!!! |
