Favourite Video Game Genre?

Title explains all. What is your favourite video game genre.

As for me, either fighting games or JRPGs. I'm not sure why, they seem like near polar opposites in my eyes, but I love them both. Pokemon Crystal, Street Fighter Alpha 3, Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga, Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 3 and Chrono Trigger are all some of my favourite games of all time.

So what are your favourite video game genres?

I enjoy a good RPG, platformer, and the occasional racing game. :)

I play more RPGs and FPSs that anything, but I really enjoy a good action/adventure/3D platformer mix. It think the best example would have to be the Ratchet and Clank or Jak and Daxter games.

RPGs are my overall favorite genre of games. I also love me a good platformer, shooter, or arcade-esque game.

I enjoy non-repetitive RPGS (ie. tactical RPGs and some other stuff). Racing games and fighting games are also pretty cool, but usually as a side thing to distract me from a storyline game. :D

JRPGs. Played them forever. My first was Final Fantasy VII with my dad, lol. He'd play it and I'd watch... I think I've played it a million times.

FPS and PC RPGs come close. Unreal 2004 and Neverwinter Nights are classics.

I don't really have a favorite genre.
Looking at my favorite games (Shadow Of The Colossus, Silent Hill 2, Fallout 3, Fifa 11) They are all rather different.

I guess I just like a game if it is made well, regardless of its genre.

JRPG's. I've bought them almost exclusively for the past few years.

RPGs (such as Pokemon), racing games (such as Gran Turismo), and platformers (such as Super Mario Bros).

RPGs (SRPGs included)
- Super Mario RPG, Kingdom Hearts, Final Fantasy, Pokemon, Dragon Age, etc.
Fighting
- Marvel vs Capcom, Super Smash Bros, Dissidia Final Fantasy, Darkstalkers, Street Fighter, Guilty Gear, BlazBlue, etc
Action-Adventure/Platforming
- Super Mario, Sonic the Hedgehog, Legend of Zelda, MegaMan, etc.

Honorable Mentions that I can't think of the genres for

Fighting: Tekken, Soul Calibur

Action. Actually, RPG action. The only worthwhile RPG I played are JRPGs, so. yeah. I like to think strategically rather than skirmish.
