In my restless dreams, I see that town...

You get invited to a town in the middle of nowhere, the reward for visiting is having one of your greatest desires fulfilled. Perhaps a lost loved one you wish to see resurrected, winning the love of someone that hates you, great riches, a regret that needs to be gotten rid of, a personality trait or talent you wished you had or a personality trait you have that you cannot bear. No, you can't become a transformer, God, dictator of the world or something similar, so don't even think about it.

The catch is, this town contains all your greatest fears in a physical form, or your worst sin. Scared of spiders? It will be full of giant spiders. Scared of the dark? Darkness everywhere. All your selfish or cruel actions will haunt you in this town as you'll be put into different scenarios that punish you for your past. Think of all the worst possible things that you could possibly encounter and this town will have them and you will have to face all of them in your search for what you want.

Once you enter the town you cannot leave until you've passed every trial and reached your goal. You can't quit halfway through. Unless of course you die. In this case however I shall say that you're magically given the ability to defend yourself quite well, so death is not a major factor. The real question is would you be willing to face your worst sins and fears.

Would you go to the town?

What would your reward be? You can only pick one thing and please make it reasonable. It can be supernatural such as a resurrection, but you can only resurrect one person. You can't turn into an alien or become a supernatural being yourself, there's no way around this no matter how clever your logic is.

What would your version of the town contain? It adapts to suit your fears, sins and regrets, remember.

You can't defeat your fears unless you face your fears, and if you have a deep desire so badly to want to put all of your mentality at war just to be with the person (or get what you want), then I'm going to do so. It would be foolish of me to ask for my loved ones back (one of them, of course), since they're much better where they are now than they were when they were on this earth, so I'd go for the best thing and want to be with the person I want. We're technically together, but it's complicated, so in a way we aren't. My biggest fears involve death and crime, for the most part, so the town would contain a great deal of gloomy death and crime would be very active within it. But I would certainly go to the town, especially since I'd be facing my fears with a loved one. That, to me, is much stronger than any fear.

The reward itself would be overcoming all those fears and turning them positivity rather than despondent feelings. If I were to resurrect someone, I can't really think of anyone right now; maybe we can keep the wish for later use? XD; If I were to win the heart of someone who bears hatred for me, it wouldn't be worth it. Wealth, in my opinion, sounds good. But I really wanted to be a transformer! no fair. ;_;

Fears and sins that aren't abstract are pretty harsh things to deal with. I was never good at facing my fears. I have only a few regrets, but I doubt my fears would be as few. And if I am to risk my life, I don't see any reasonableness. However, if I do get some kind of magical defense, I'll take the chance. My version of the town would most likely contain blood and violence, dark and probably incongruous things. As for the wish, I think I'll come to that conclusion once I reach the town.

i wouldn't go. there's really nothing i wish for that can't be attained with reasonable effort.

Would you go to the town?
Heck no, I wouldn't go to Silent Hill this town, it would have my greatest fears, which I don't wanna see, it wouldn't be worth it.

Would you go to the town?: I wouldn't go in there. I'm really scared of cockroaches so there's no way I'm going in there.

Yeah. If I had a way of defending myself and not just run there waiting to be sniped, why not? In the end it's most likely worth it.

Reward... someone x3, I wouldn't tell who.

Fears.. The dark.. and cockroackes. Oh, and drugs.

I would go into to the town.

Before others are to make this choice they would probably want to consider a few things first:Are you ready to face your fears? Is what lies at the end really worth the effort? Will it be better that you get your reward? Those are only a few things to consider, compared to the endless amount that there is to actually mull over.

If you can't face your fears, you would be swallowed whole, and never see the light of day again. As for me, I think that whatever was at the end would be less a prize as to knowing that I don't have to be afraid. The fears that had manifested themselves in me where ripped out, and cast asunder. Yet, at the same time, I would get a new fear that is afraid of not being afraid. It isn't really possible from a logical stand point, but yes. I would be afraid of being afraid.

---

On the other side, I wouldn't want to go into the city.

While whatever prize in their may be great, it might not be worth the trauma. As I said earlier, the greater prize would be relinquishing your fears, or maybe, learning to live with them. Still, if those were gone, you would just get more fears.

Also, your greatest desire in life is usually what drives you to dream higher. It is what drives you to make tomorrow better than today, and to always give your best. If you suddenly got that granted, you would think naught and achieve little. Of course, due the greedy nature of the human heart, once that desire was filled, you would more than likely begin to hunger for something more.

That is the thing, people almost always want more.

I have mixed feelings about going in. When I first saw this, I thought "hell yeah I'm going in!" But.. as I have progressed my thoughts on this, I find that I am leaning towards no.
