Do you even know what is a Liberal? Because even under that word is a lot of definitions: Social Liberal: Wants to provide for people's necessities Economic Liberal: Wants no Government intervention in the Economy Culturally Liberal: Wants no Government regulation of religion, beliefs etc. Politically Liberal: Most modern democracies are this allowing for government elections and such But this is just replying to a flamebait so to get back on topic the US is urging China to act on North Korea. |

Ask a Democrat politician and what he/she stands for. Then ask a kid who thinks Punk Rock is alive. Now compare that politician to the majority of Democrat supporters. Ask a stone head about why Marijuana should be legalized, then ask an Attorney why he/she supports legalizing Marijuana. Those "Liberals" that managed to glue themselves to the political ideology are doing it in self-interest. My support for gay rights is not because I want to make-out with a girl in public, but because I truly believe it is their right as citizens to be able to marry and the such. Now compare that to those who simply want to see Lesbians naked in public. Horrible bands to create Pseudo-Liberals is like Mosques, Churches, whatever preaching what is deemed Conservative to our standards.....and if you don't support that view.....you're going to hell. |
Let's try to stay on topic shall we? This thread isn't about liberals. It's about the consistent problems going on in North and South Korea.
|
I'd like to hear some good things about North Korea for a change. Although when someone says North Korea has a higher literacy rate than the South.. well, that's not very impressive imo.
Very sad event. I definitely do not want to live in Korea right now. I have no idea how the South should handle this situation. I do not understand the purpose of the North. China is opening up and is busily expanding its middle class and its share of developing consumer products for the world, but what's North Korea's purpose? :\ If the North has a peaceful goal--what is it? |

[QUOTE=Went;6303675] So it's okay to leave a crazy pseudo-communist dictatorship with an incredibly opressed population who have never heard of human rights or anything similar to bomb the crap out of one of your allies, a democratic republic, member of the OECD and the G-20, creating a crazy wave of unstability in the Asian zone (which is just what we need to get out of the world crisis). [QUOTE] Yeah. Unless they ASK us to go help, why can't South Korea and China handle it themselves? Seriously? |

But I agree, This is not the place to be right now. North and South have had skirmishes in the past, but this seems a bit more real in terms of the possibility of outright warfare. I think there needs to be UN or NATO peacekeeping involvement. Not like the UN is gutsy enough to call their bluff. |
I think this will die down over time seeing all the "provocations" the North has done this year...they are just looking for attention...
|
I agree. While this could escalate if we feed the troll, North Korea, it can also die in obscurity in time. Of course South Korea has already had enough. They've issued the ultimatum: "Attack us again and there will be severe repercussions"...which amounts to a veiled war threat, sternly worded.
Of course this means if South Korea actually launches a military campaign, the US will no doubt step in too, and offer additional troops and supplies. I'd say it's about time, since North Korea has needed a good punishing, and not just the slaps on the wrist that the UN is so fond of issuing. If South Korea and China weren't so close, I'd say we should drop a big fat juicy N-Bomb on their cocky asses and be done with it. We know that'd set 'em back a good ways, even if we didn't drop the nuke directly on a populated area. I think we might be able to drop a few tiny nukes on them though but even then the damage might be too dire. |

All I did was got into an argument, if arguing with someone who share a different view on things is considered trolling, then I suggest PC as a whole stop discussing Politics or anything that can get people to argue on their point-of-view. If you really think this is trolling, I beg you guys to go on Omegle. I guess I'm a troll as well as everyone else because I say I'm expecting a third World War out of the current situation in Korea. |

TL;DR - KJI tries to do that: China and Russia would have no choice but to stop him. |

Here is the thing. If NK gets a nuke, its all over. Bye bye world. I wrote this as a joke a while back and all my friends laughed at. They weren't laughing because it was funny. They were laughing because they could see something like this happening.
If NK gets a nuke, its bye bye world. NK would nuke SK, we would nuke NK back. The radation would spread into china and in retaliation they would either nuke us, or nuke the hell out of SK. We in turn nuke China and then Russia nukes everybody just for the hell of it. Soon after every one is tossing nukes left and right. A hundred years later, everyone has three eyes, four arms, and a whole assortment of other mutations. |

And I'm pretty sure 4 or more are dead now. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ SK's defense minister just resigned, in other words, was fired, after the attacks. This was expected considering the previous attack on the SK's war ship, in which he was criticized heavily. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ |

To the topic: If the Chernobyl Incident in Ukraine does such damage, and 20+ years later turns living things into mutants, we wouldn't have three eyes anyway, because we're all dead. |
A trainer is a person. Multipule persons are people. A broad generalization, so lemme fix that.
A mentally insane person might have issues with complex rules of english like the, mentioned above, apositives rule. And again you forgot to read the entire post. If you had, you would have seen that i said i wrote that as a joke. So please, try not to take a stated joke as fact and/or a possiable future. But thanks for telling me about Chernobyl incident. I already knew about it but i always thought it occured in Russia. Edit - Knit picking english errors. The Chernobyl incident already occured so the world to use would be did, not does. Basic english really. I think its taught in the 2nd grade. |

So you are assuming I am naturally born in an English speaking country? Learn Esperanto or Greek and have someone point out your mistakes without throwing in mindless insults. |
Guys, let's please keep this discussion civilized. Refrain from the trolling or feeding any trolls, the snarky comments, and disrespect. Also, stay on topic! Anyone who is to continue trolling or acting on any of the earlier things mentioned will receive an infraction as this is your last warning.

The tension on peninsula has gone up in the past day. North Korea has fired toward the island again. However, the rounds fell in the ocean near the border. Also the North Korean government called the planed US-South Korea military exercises a provocation.

I'm beginning to think we might really have the Korean war start again (The Korean war never really technically ended by the way so it's a restart of the war) |
I seriously do wonder how another conventional war would look considering the US has focused most of it's recent military R&D for the past decade on asymmetrical warfare.
Still during the recent (yet now defunct) military war game I did on another site on the possibility of tensions deteriorating (was based off the sinking of the Chenoan ship) towards resumption of hostilities, the main thing that held us back (as South Korea) on using military force was the possibility of the crude nuclear warheads being used as artillery right onto the main cities. Plus of course the mass of North Koreans going over the DMZ. |
