Music making Programs
Well, I am in University and for one of my projects, I have to make a 8-bit styled soundtrack for one of my games, however, I am not sure of what program would best suit me for this.
Has anyone got/know of any GOOD programs in which 8-bit styled music can be created? I am not bothered if they are free or you have to pay for them and I would prefer it if you knew about the program, instead of saying "This one might be good." Thanks for the input, but I need serious advice. Also, if you know of any good 8-bit tutorials, it wouldn't hurt to post =] Thanks in advance guys. |
Assuming you're just taking songs from other sources, you can go the quickest route which is to take a MIDI, run it through a program called GSXCC, fiddle around a bit, get a result like this and call it a day
If you're going with original music compositions, you can do the same thing with a MIDI file created with any MIDI composing software (such as Anvil Studio), or if you're going very advanced, do composition in a program such as FL Studio and make use of various synthesizer plug-ins and sample packs to emulate 8-bit sounds. e: Actually, if you want to compose and get very faithful results at the same time learning Famitracker would be a good idea. |
