Choose Your Own Adventure-Orre

Welcome to the Orre edition of Choose Your Own Adventure. Seeing that there was one of these for every region in the main series games I thought I may as well do one in Orre from Pokemon Colosseum and XD: Gale of Darkness.

The rules are the same as all the others but in simplified terms I'll post a scenario with options. You than have to choose one of the options and the first option with 3 votes wins. I will then post another scenario as if we did the winning option. Only I can post options.

Rules of the Thread
All normal Pokecommunity rules apply.
Only I may post options.
Once an option has won (got 3 votes) voting is closed.

Scenario
It is the 27th of January 2011 and you just had your 14th birthday yesterday. You are on the way to the Shadow Pokemon Lab. The place where Michael the guy who defeated Chipper five years ago came from but has since gone to travel around in Hoenn. However unlike five years ago, wild Pokemon can be found all over Orre. On your way you notice a man at a stall. The man mentions he will trade one of his Pokemon for a rare item. You mention that you have a Full Restore with you. The man says that he will give you any one of his 6 Pokemon for it but you won’t be able to know what Pokemon you are choosing.
What will you do?
Ignore him and continue onto the lab.
Pick the Pokeball with the Raindrop Sticker.
Pick the Pokeball with the Leaf Sticker.
Pick the Pokeball with the Flame Sticker.
Pick the Pokeball with the Thunderbolt Sticker.
Pick the Pokeball with the Cloud Sticker.
Pick the Pokeball with the Eye Sticker.

Orre? Wow. Anyway, Flame sticker.

Polizard November 27th, 2010 2:54 AM

Pick the Pokeball with the Flame Sticker
After receiving your Pokeball you send out the Pokemon. It’s a Vulpix you exclaim. Pleased with your deal you continue on. After a long walk you see a small kiosk. Being so nice the shopkeeper gives you a free Fresh Water. After thanking them you continue walking. You finally reach the Lab. You then find Professor Krane and tell him what happened. To your own shock he challenges you to a battle. You accept and send out your newly obtained Vulpix and Prof. Krane sends out his Eevee.

Lower Eevee's defences with Tail Whip.
Use Return on Eevee.

GrifSpark November 27th, 2010 7:04 AM

"Vulpix, get ready and use Ember!"
And yes, there is a plan by using Ember. Return does damage based on how much the Pokemon cares for its user. Since we have only just recieved the Vulpix, Return will not do a huge amount of damage. Leer lowers the foe defense. Since Ember is a Sp.Attack (And Return is out of the question), it will have no effect.

Ynfiniti8 November 27th, 2010 7:23 AM

Let's go with Ember then.

dragonite149 November 27th, 2010 12:08 PM

I'm going to echo Grif and Ynfiniti by saying let's use Ember!

vaporeon7 November 27th, 2010 4:16 PM

Use Ember on Eevee.
You command Vulpix to use Ember. Vulpix then sprays fire all over Eevee. It looks like it did a lot of damage. Prof. Krane then cammands his Eevee to use Wish. After Eevee finished performing its attack, its seems to take damage. You then realise that Eevee is burnt. You then command Vulpix to do another Ember attack. It hits Eevee's weak spot and knocks it out instantly. You then return Vulpix to it's Pokeball. Prof. Krane then congratulates you for your win and hands you a package. You then open the package and inside you find 5 Pokeballs, 2 Potions and a Lum Berry. As soon as you put your gift away. A hole is blasted in the wall. A man walks through it dressed in white clothes. Then man then runs up to Eevee and grabs it and says that it will do Chiper nicely and make a great shadow Pokemon. He then runs off. Prof. Krane then rushes over to his lab and grabs a machine and gives it to you. After putting it on your arm he tells you it's a snag machine and asks you to go get Eevee.
Where do you go look for it?
Gaten Port.
Agate Village.
Pyrite Town.

Agate Town.

I never played Colisseum or XD so I'm completely clueless here.

Ynfiniti8 November 28th, 2010 12:14 AM

Might as well finish it here and say Agate Town.

vaporeon7 November 28th, 2010 12:30 AM

Agate Village
After walking for a while you finally reach Agate Village. You decide to explore the town a bit. During your exploration you find a disk. At closer inspection it seems to be TM31. Then suddenly you hear a large BANG. You run over to see what it is and you find a woman in the same clothes as the man from Chiper that you saw at the lab. The woman is attacking a Cacnea that is cornered. You then bravely send out your Vulpix and tell it to use Ember on the woman. On fire, the woman then runs away in search of water. You then start to walk away and the Cacnea starts to follow you. You then decide to catch the Cacnea in one of your Pokeballs. You throw the Pokeball and Cacnea gets sucked inside being weak from before it is caught. You then rush over to the Pokemon Centre and get your Pokemon healed. While walking out the door a young man that goes by the name Chuck challenges you to a double battle. You accept. He sends out his Volbeat and Carvanha. He starts bragging about how his Volbeat has moves that a normal one of its level wouldn’t and tells Volbeat to use Helping Hand.

what ynfiniti said.

because both moves gain STAB and the opponents each have a 2x weakness (if not more)

The tally so far.
Use Ember on Volbeat and Absorb on Carvanha. 2
Use Ember and Poison Sting on Volbeat. 0
Use Leer on Carvanha then use Return on Carvanha. 0
Use Tail Whip on Volbeat and Absorb on Carvahna. 0

Meduza November 29th, 2010 8:02 AM

Use Ember on Volbeat and Absorb on Carvanha.

Decision made. :)

vaporeon7 November 29th, 2010 1:33 PM

Use Ember on Volbeat and Absorb on Carvanha.
You command Vulpix to use Ember on Volbeat and Cacnea to use Absorb on Carvanha. Simultaneously Cacnea uses Absorb and Vulpix uses Ember. Volbeat quickly dodges and is only slightly damaged by the Ember but Cacnea’s Absorb hits its mark doing massive damage to Carvahna. Carvahna then fights back with a Helping Hand boosted Bite. Bite hits Vulpix and does huge damage. Vulpix just hanging on lets out a close range Ember on Carvahna. Carvahna faints instantly. Cacnea and Vulpix seem to look a little stronger. Volbeat then uses Charge Beam on Vulpix knocking it out and raising its Special Attack. You then tell Cacnea to use Poison Sting. Only a few of the Poison Sting hit but it looks as if they poisoned Volbeat. Volbeat then takes some damage from poison. Chuck commands Volbeat to use another Charge Beam. The boosted Charge Beam is bigger than before and hits Cacnea. Volbeat then takes more damage from poison. Both Cacnea and Volbeat have a little health left.

Absorb. Poison sting will do less damage and I'm not waisting a potion this early.

Dark: Random Guy November 30th, 2010 6:27 AM

Absorb. We need to kill that thing immediately and charge beam will boost it's power so the next hit might kill you regardless.

vaporeon7 November 30th, 2010 12:55 PM

The Tally So Far

Use Absorb. 2
Use Poison Sting. 0
Use a Potion. 0

Meduza November 30th, 2010 5:57 PM

Absorb to make the decision.

vaporeon7 November 30th, 2010 9:29 PM

Use Absorb.
You tell Cacnea to use Absorb. As Cacnea is preparing its attack Volbeat, Chuck instructs Volbeat to use Charge Beam. Both Absorb and Charge Beam collide. Each still hitting their target but at weaker strength. Absorb hits first leaving Volbeat with miniscule health and Charge Beam hits hard. It looks as if Cacnea only survived on the health it regained from Absorb. Chuck then tells Volbeat to finish the battle with Charge Beam. Volbeat starts charging the attack and just before it is released Volbeat faints. Chuck then yells what happened. You then have a laugh at his expense, knoing that Volbeat fainted from poisoning. Chuck then yells that it isn’t the last you’ve seen of him and runs off. After a quick visit to the Pokemon Centre you hear word of Cipher being at Gaton Port. You decide to rush over there. On your way you see many wild Pokemon.
What do you do?

Also do you teach TM31 to Cacnea? (include in vote when picking options).

Train. And nah... leave it 'til later.

Meduza December 1st, 2010 10:13 AM

Traib and don't use TM. Filler.

Dark: Random Guy December 1st, 2010 10:22 AM

Catch Koffing and don't use TM.

Weezing is a very underrated physical wall and an asset to the pokemon teams. That and we have no poison types yet. Cacnea sort of counts but Poison Sting is a terrible move and Koffing can learn alot more good poison type moves as well as having added STAB to them.

vaporeon7 December 1st, 2010 1:23 PM

Train your Pokemon
You decide to train your Pokemon. After defeating all the Lickitung, Venonat and Koffing you continue on to Gaton Port. You reach Gaton Port and in the distance you see a bunch of people in white go into the lighthouse. You also see an ad for a Pokemon Contest trial Orre. The ad also mentions a prize but it is illegible. All you can see is that the prize is something blue and that you get to pick one of two other things. You first decide to go to the Pokemon Centre and Pokemart.
What do you do?
Go to the lighthouse
