Upload, A good way!

Is there any other good sites to upload images on other than angel fire! Because I make my banners , but the uploader I'm using doesn't work well! Have any other sites?

Haruka November 21st, 2003 4:53 PM

This belongs in the questions and feedback forum.

punkie90 November 21st, 2003 4:56 PM

Well, lets just talk about it here until a mod moves it. So do you know any?

Arcanine November 21st, 2003 4:59 PM

No this thread stays here. Questions and Feedback is just about PC and the community sites.

punkie90 November 21st, 2003 5:03 PM

Okay, Thanks for informing us. Well back to my question. Does anyone know a good site to upload images!

punkie90 November 21st, 2003 5:08 PM

Well, yes. I want a find a site that hosts images! But arcanine says this stays here! So do u know any?

YAS1 November 21st, 2003 5:24 PM

I do! I always upload at www.photobucket.com This is an off-site image hoster. It will display images in your sig or other uses. It really works!

Kairi November 21st, 2003 5:35 PM

Nah, Webmaster's would be if he wanted to host images for his site. For his signature though...

Cherrim November 21st, 2003 6:09 PM

I use Geocities for all my image hosting. And yes, if you do it properly, it works. Just follow these simple steps:

1. Upload your image to your account.
2. Go into file manager and check the box next to your image. Click the "Rename" button.
3. Rename the image so that the extension is .txt. (ex: "pikachu.jpg" --> "pikachu.txt")
4. Get on PC and use the image tags to include the .txt image. It will show up as normal.

^_^

Iveechan November 21st, 2003 6:14 PM

Wow, YAS, thanx for that link! I'm having a ball now!

Kairi November 21st, 2003 6:43 PM

*right clicks Lightning's sig*

You cheater. =o

*considers reporting this to Yahoo!* ;p

Haruka November 21st, 2003 9:42 PM

LOL thanks for the help YAS1. I will try Photo Bucket.

Hey, Photo Bucket doesn't work for psp images. Is there one that does. Or if someone can just explain angelfire on here! I'm already joined to it! and i already uploaded a image! Where do i fing the cde for it?

Kairi November 22nd, 2003 7:26 AM

You can't use IMG tags on Photoshop or PSP image types. You need to save them as JPEGs or PNGs.

Phantom Angel November 22nd, 2003 7:34 AM

*look at Kairi strangely*
Okay, he do double post, you forgot to tell him about that. >_>;
I will then.
*do Explode eadbutt on punkie90*
How many times I have to tell you that you can't double post?!?
100?!? 1000?!? 10000?!? Or 100000?!?
Okay dude, I forgive you.
Don't do that again.
Thank you.

Kairi November 22nd, 2003 8:46 AM

I know, I don't warn every time. He knows it, and if he does it again then I will. He had sort of an excuse of needing more help, but no one else had posted yet. Editing wouldn't have bumped it up.

punkie90 November 22nd, 2003 10:59 AM

Ya thats the reason why I doubled. Okay.

How do I do that?

Kairi November 22nd, 2003 11:27 AM

File, Save as...

Then choose JPEG from the drop down file type menu.

Red-Beast November 22nd, 2003 11:32 AM

You can Save as .GIF Iswell if you have a Animated or Transparent Sig.
When you Up-Load .PSD it Downloads it and Doesn't Veiw it.

punkie90 November 22nd, 2003 11:37 AM

oh! yay! thanks alot!* try's it!

Geometric-sama November 23rd, 2003 4:14 AM

Basically, the reason for that is that PSD/PSP are publishing formats. They are technically not recognised image formats, unlike PNG/JPG/GIF (compressed) or BMP/TIFF (uncompressed).

Lokhlan November 23rd, 2003 4:24 AM

This is off-topic, but I don't care really...

If everyone would take a moment to read this thread from the top over again you'll notice something funny. Punkie gets like 4 replies that debate about keeping this thread in the 'Other Chat' or moving it to the 'Q&F' section & he starts to get impatient. It shows in his replies. I guess it was just funny to me.

punkie90 November 23rd, 2003 7:14 AM

It was huh. Well Maybe because Arcanine said this stays and i'm like ya and this other person said no.

But back to the topis, I know how to do tat now. All I'm gunna do now is delete psp8 and get acrobat ps!

Geometric-sama November 23rd, 2003 7:56 PM

Don't delete PSP8, unless it's only a trial version. Keep it, but you can get PS as well. Remember that PS is *very* expensive, it's about AU$1500 or something. I'd suggest Fireworks, PSP or PhotoImpact as they are much cheaper. I use Fireworks, it's cheap and very easy to use as well as being very powerful.

punkie90 November 24th, 2003 4:25 AM

I'm only getting the trial versions! Like I'm gunna spend 1500 on something for a computer. I would buy a Dirt Bike! I'm Gunna download the trial version of adobe paint shop!
