Didn't look much different from around 3am, just lost some of the light on the one side. But it was nice to just stand there and chat with my brother over hot chocolate as we watched. :3
And it was pretty cool to think a bunch of people all over the continent were standing outside, watching the same thing, bearing the same damn cold I was. xD; |
My mom just woke up, and we went out into the backyard to watch for the moon. We could see it for a second, but then it went away. ):
..Meanwhile, my dog started attacking me with love. XD |
In Alaska, your eyes can freeze shut when you blink. No joke.
|
Erica, double post :(.
Ah, I see now. BTW, I wish I had a camera. My stupid brick phone doesn't have it. |

I hate wet cold. |
WHUT.
Your eyes...can freeze shut... I'm now scared of Alaska. |
It was like 20 minutes ago. lol
|
In those situations you should wear sunglasses. Protect your eyes and look fancy.
|
Quote:
I'm not sure how they would help otherwise. lol |
Sunglasses or similar things don't always help that much. :p
And it's not like... instant... :( idk, when you're used to that kind of weather you also know how to deal with it. And having ice in your eyelashes isn't that bad if you get indoors quickly to dry off. :p |
Get goggles. Look much cooler than those over-rated sunglasses.
Digimon promotes them. |
I have never done that. Gotten my tongue stuck to a popsicle in the middle of summer before though. xD;
|
Quote:
I just can't even imagine getting ice on my eyes. How do you see to get indoors? D: |
I've seen a dog do that. Poor thing :(.
|
Oh no. D: W-what exactly do you do to fix it? I don't think I could ever bring myself to rip away or something. Ouch.
|
Quote:
I want Rita's. (Tales of Vesperia.) |
I-I would never actually lick a pole or something like that. Even if there's no risk of it getting stuck. XD; Germs and whatnot.. D:
It's happened to me, though, with a Popsicle as well. |
Quote:
How do even get unstuck? Run hot water or something? Quote:

Who's she?
You know, cold-related injuries are nothing compared to fire-related. 1st degree burns hurt man. |
I beg to differ. Severe cold injuries can be equivilant to third degree burns. I'm talking like when exposed to liquid nitrogen, etc.
Stuff that causes your fingers/etc to break off. Also, I just looked up some heated sunglasses. They exist. And some are actually pretty stylish. o3o |
True, but burns can happen faster. Something like hypothermia takes a while to sink in unless you're in like water or really exposed to cold elements.
I stuck my tongue on a pole once, as a dare. I miss those taste buds... |
Quote:
I wonder if heated jackets exist as well. I was gonna say underwear, but then thought to myself that it might cause burns. xDD |
Quote:
|
Heated underwear exists.
Alaska sounds like a scary place :(. |
In Jolly ol' Enlgand it snowed on Friday and we still have heavy snow here on Tuesday.
|
Nah, that's only in the winter. In the Summer it's 70 F. lol
And it's not a problem unless you actually go outside. lol |
In Seattle, I missed 3 days o' school due to surprise snow.
Now it just rains. Joy. |
No snow yet this year... there was a teensy bit at night earlier in the year, but almost none of it stuck.
|
^ Yeah, that'd be insta-death. lol

-169 f -196 f something like that I think I saw a red sky, but oh well. The coldest I been in I think was 2*F, I was out in jeans (not really but something of the sort) gym pants i guess? and a t-shirt Now to add heat :P I decided to go one a bike ride in 110*F with a jacket on. Im weird D: We got a lil snow few weeks ago, maybe not again.. |

There's like one happening every year, but the one in 2017 will happen for the entire North American continent and parts of South America.
EDIT: Pretty time lapse http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/3/3e/SE2017Aug21T.gif |
Why would you miss hurricanes...?
I've lived through a few of them that weren't even direct [I live quite a distance from the ocean, but we still got major rain/etc from the bigger hurricanes] and they're rather unpleasant. I'm all for rain, but, hurricanes are just awful. And, it's not fun at ALL to drive in @[email protected] |

Besides, it hardly rain in Florida. |

Wow, a new DCC and I don't realise until page 7? :O
Anyway, weather. Yes. It's summer over here. It's also cold. That makes no sense, considering it's almost Christmas. It's cold. Well, I kinda consider anything not hot to be pretty cold for us. Usually it'd be averaging mid-to-high 30's C (80/90's F) but at the moment, it hasn't topped 30 in the last week. :| The entire month's average so far remains under 30 ._. I'm not saying it's a bad thing, but it's very very strange. La Nina is waking up again... |

I'd say the 22nd is close enough for my taste. lol |
Yes, my birthday is on Christmas. I love it. It's the best time of the year, so..~

That can't be a coincidence of course.
On another unrelated note, before I go to sleep at 4 AM, I'm going to post this. http://www.pbfcomics.com/archive_b/PBF227-Preserves.jpg |

I havent went shopping yet D: Ill do something homemade, how does a paper plate + Soda can + Camo duct tape, sound? Wait I already did that. XD HM, I would get em my love, cause thats what counts :) |
Tahaa, emo, get them love indeed. It's a good enough gift, but sometimes you personally feel a bit inadequate. :'D
|
I would've liked to buy gifts for people this year, but having no job, I am poor/have no money.
Although I am planning to donate for people here in the near future. |
I would have a job, but I'm too young. :U
|
Quote:

THERE'S A DIFFERENCE BETWEEN BEING MATURE AND BEING LEGALLY TO YOUNG TO WORK KT.
|
I have no slight idea how to that. I don't lack money so I don't ever need to work. I don't know what I'll work at, though.
|
Child labor laws are in place in places like the US and Canada. And many places have their own, stricter age policies regarding youth labor because of the equipment they'd be handling. If TWEWY were an American, I can think of many places that would allow him to work at 14.
|
I'm gonna have to wait two summers before I can get a job. ;_;
OH GOD I'VE CHANGED SO MUCH OVER THE COURSE OF 3 YEARS. ;O; |
3 years can witness many changes in one's life/personality. (b'-')b
|
Oh yes, I've changed quite a lot over the past 3 years. I blame PC. 8)

The only proper trolls today are the ads here. I saw a Scientology today one, I even saw a communism one. And this user.
|
PC moves rather slowly compared to the pace of the real world, at least for me, so I can't say that it had as much a significant impact on me as it did for other folks. For example, even though there are many people I'd consider my friends here, I found that had actually only exchanged a few words with them over a few days whereas in real life, I would be constantly talking face-to-face. PC is a pretty tame and nice place compared to many other forums where trolling is more evident or has even become an accepted part of the community.
|
Trolls are what makes forums fun.
|
Quote:
PC is a great place, without it I would prob be hittihg my head, going crazy, and being really bored. xD I also noticed on how much I changed.. |
I'm more of an on-and-off type of member who disappears randomly. But something just drags me back in here that I still don't understand what it is... probably my love for Pokemon or something. lol PC is my escape for boredom. :P

Haha. Lots of ad bots. Got to love them, oh wait, no you don't.
I did have problems with them on my other forums that I moderated. Was annoying. |
Quote:
In other news, adbots are both an annoyance and pretty funny. PC has had some interesting ones in th past, most notably the male enhancement substance-selling adbots. |
Quote:
And please. Don't tell me Israeli mods beat you. They do manage to tame a forum with 15,000+ users on a regular basis. Sometimes even 20,000. There's loads of spam, but honestly, PC feels dull and slow compared to that. That's just me, probably, though. |

Eh, I eat chocolate from time to time. ^^; My favorite is white chocolate from Hershey's. <3 |
Cows drink water... lol.
Anyway, yeah, it makes me break out minorly, so yeah. But, overall, my acne has been good recently. Ugh. It's 80 F here in Texas. >:< |
