In. You're in. I'll make sure your Stantler doesn't evolve. :P May you fully enjoy the club.

Which is your favourite normal type Pokemon that Ash/ Satoshi has caught? (Including the ones owned by him temporarily. Also Normal/Flying types are allowed for this since Ash hardly has any Normal type Pokemon. XD)

I would probably say Snorlax would be #1 followed by Swellow then Aipom.

Voting coming soon.

I can tell by now Snorlax is a must. We will be holding the best normal type soon....soon....just you wait and you can all vote when we get enough members. There will be a few, maybe one for this and one for this, I'll post when I get what we need.

I've always liked Ash's Snorlax. Especially at the Johto League when Hypno woke it up when it was sleeping at Snorlax got super angry.

I also have always liked Ash's Snorlax. Not only is it a powerful and useful Pokemon, but it has such a distinct personality from the rest of his Pokemon that it's a joy to see it on-screen.

Is it just me or does Murando's speculated English name, Stoutland seems a bit like Scotland.

I think that is because it is based off the Scottish Terrier.

(what do you mean choose starters for evolution?)
-Reason to join: I like normal types because since they haven't got a special elemental power, they have to be creatively designed.
-How active you are: Oh, I'm active. I might be gone for a whole month sometime but when I've not decided to focus on school and stuff, I'm online on PC every day almost ^^

You're in. By starters for evolution, it means get a Pokemon that hasn't evolved yet. Sorry if I didn't specify on what I wanted to say on that.
I also think that the Stoutland might be based off the dog from Scotland.

mzmingle January 16th, 2011 7:01 AM

lets see....
Snorlax. In second i'd say Pidgey/Pidgeotto/Pidgeot.
one he will have is probably.

If you were asked to design a new Normal Type Pokemon by the Pokemon Creator himself.....or creators, would you have said yes or no?

Answer: I guezz I would have said yez and give it a try,, it cant be that hard can it... it might not be the best but yea.

mzmingle January 16th, 2011 8:54 AM

what Murasaki_Paz28 said. I'd probs say yes, but it wont be very good.

Otherworld9) January 16th, 2011 8:59 AM

Two birds in one...forum

I actually agree in that I might as well say yes, like Mzmingle and Murasaki_Paz28 said, and I'd try to create a simple, yet kind of sinister looking one. I can draw very, but quite good....but I can't promise it would be excellent.

Miluiel January 16th, 2011 9:25 AM

I think I'd agree as well. Character design is one of the most fun things to do. I'd definitely try to go for the old Pokemon look instead of some of the newer generation looks. Something simple yet obviously not from Earth.

I agree with you there. Ash seems to get one bird pokemon from every region, mostly the beginniners, like Pidgeot, Starly, Taillow, Hoothoot, and I think he had more before....IDK. But Pidove does really go better as the Pokemon evolves...I like the last evolution.:P

I agree with this as well. It's a decent theory. And I love how Pidove evolves. The last evolution is pretty flashy, though I have to say that the middle evolution is my favorite. Simple yet somewhat elegant.

New Rule Changed

Rules about the leveling up by posting have been changed.
For now on, one post equals one level. The old rule of one post equals half a level means I need to remember and keep track too much, so I made it easier. This way, Pokemon get leveled up higher and those who aren't so active atleast evolve their Pokemon.

I would do it but I don't think my mind could think of anything else. I mean they have thought of just about everything.

Miluiel January 16th, 2011 11:33 AM

Going to expand on my answer.

Looking through the normal list, I noticed that there seems to be a lack of Normal dog-like Pokemon. I could only find one group that seemed to be directly based off a dog, yet still be normal. So if I were to design a new Normal Type Pokemon, I would probably make it doglike.

Favorite Generations

If you don't feel like reading the paragraph, skip to last sentence....beep.

Well, 1st had some simple designs, and showed good but not enough to convince me. 2nd really did surprise me, especially the bears, which I adored. 3rd was alright, some really did not oustand that much like the previous ones. 4th was not as good, not really showing as much normal types we really thought were good. 5th, well, I can't really judge yet, but I can say they kind of did an okay job on them.

In the end, I like 1st and 2nd generation best.

Miluiel January 17th, 2011 10:34 AM

While I normally prefer the earlier generations of Pokemon, the first generation seemed almost /too/ simple to me. I think the second and third have a good balance between normal and just plain bizarre. Fourth and fifth are just kind of weird to me, and are starting to stray too much from how Normals are "expected" to look. So in my opinion, the second and third generations are the best.
