Favorite film?

What is your favorite film or filmtrailer you've seen so far? Mine are obviously New Kids Turbo and Pizzamaffia.

Pizzamaffia trailer: (sorry, couldn't find a english subtitled)

New Kids Turbo trailer english subtitles:

All time? This year? For me a film has to maintain re-watchability for it to get ranked in my favorites and IMO my most "rewatchable" films have to be:

Shaun of the Dead
Pineapple Express
Anything by Martin Scorcese
Anything by Guy Ritchie

Agent Clank January 10th, 2011 12:14 PM

Three words: The Other Guys
That movie was hilarious and kept my attention.

Fire Monger January 10th, 2011 12:15 PM

I have alot, but here are some

The Other Guys
Silent Hill
Kill Bill
Shaun of the Dead
Dawn of the Dead
The Dark Knight

jasonresno January 10th, 2011 2:56 PM

The Other Guys was awesome. IMO any Will Ferrel raunch-comedy can be a favorite of mine (Anchorman, Step Brothers)

Arma January 10th, 2011 3:35 PM

Gotta love New Kids Turbo, best Dutch movie made.EVER.
Though it isn't my all-time favorite, the following movies are all way better:

The Other Guys
The Kingdom
The Dark Knight
Rush Hour (all 3 parts, I could watch these films over and over)
I Am Legend
rocknrolla

I've seen Shaun if the dead twice, it was fun the first time, but I'd give it a zero for "re-watchability"

Wow. Well, to each their own. There are just so many layers of jokes there. But I love brit comedies. I love all the films on your list but I don't know that I can rewatch Rush Hour 3.

Thelma & Louise or Shelter.

Thelma & Louise reminds me of an old friendship I have with my friend Alex, and Shelter is just a heartfelt sweet movie.

The Little Mermaid~

This was the movie that defined my childhood, so innocent and romantic. It, quite simply, is the best movie ever made in my opinion. Oh Ariel <3

Captain Fabio January 11th, 2011 8:06 AM

Well, that is a tough one because I have a few:

>Old Boy
>REC
>Inglorious Bastards
>LOTR

And so on.

I like horror films such as The Grudge and I knew what you did last summer. I also like American Pie series, Salt, Inception and Tourist.

Dinaria January 12th, 2011 4:38 PM

I hold an endless love for The Road to El Dorado. Kids movies are the greatest.

Other than that, I really enjoyed Cloverfield, but Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind and Mulholland Drive are probably the ones fighting for the first place, along with As It Is In Heaven. I enjoy quiet, slightly eerie movies.

Yuoaman January 12th, 2011 9:10 PM

The Lord of The Rings trilogy, they're just fantastic films and prove that books can indeed be faithfully turned into films. The newest Star Trek film is also one I can watch many times without ever tiring of it.

AmitieFan985 January 13th, 2011 7:45 AM

My favorite movie of all time will have to be the Lion King. I love everything about it and it was one of my childhood favorites.

Purple Materia January 15th, 2011 1:18 PM

All time is Stand By Me. Then Ferris Buller's Day Off, The Breakfast Club, and Back to the Future.

UltimaSilva January 15th, 2011 1:27 PM

Inception
21
Season of the Witch (weird)
Paranormal Activity 2
Sorcerer's Apprentice (for a laugh and for a girl)

Eliminator Jr. January 15th, 2011 3:41 PM

My top five movies (in order) are: The Bucket List, Inception, I Love You Man, The Dark Knight, Anchorman. The Bucket List, just because it really gets to me, Inception because it had amazing action scenes and a great concept, I Love You, Man because it was hilarious, The Dark Knight because it had a good concept and very well played characters, and Anchorman because it's a classic.

Drekin January 15th, 2011 6:16 PM

Back to the Future and Buller? I like your list.

On my list...
- Star Wars: Episode IV, A New Hope - Revisited Edition
- Star Wars: Episode V, The Empire Strikes Back - Special Edition
- Who Framed Roger Rabbit
- Ghostbusters
- Ratatouille
- Batman Begins
- The Dark Knight
- Casino Royale 007
- Super Mario Bros. (I know it's bad, but it's so bad its good... or something)
- A Christmas Story
- Christmas Vacation
- Any "Toy Story" movie
- Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery

These are all movies that have infinite watch-ability for me.

Trikip January 18th, 2011 6:08 PM

I'm not very picky when it comes to movies. I think film critics take movies far too seriously. I would consider any John Hughes movie to be my favorite, especially Planes, Trains, and Automobiles and Home Alone.

Kenshin5 January 18th, 2011 7:39 PM

I will just go a couple that are not series(unless you include The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly as a series since the Man with No Name is in two previous movies.)

  • The Departed
  • The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly
  • Forrest Gump
  • Pulp Fiction
  • Dazed and Confused
  • Old School
  • American History X
  • The Patriot

Simmons_2.0 January 19th, 2011 2:15 AM

Rogue planet January 24th, 2011 9:14 AM

I cba to explain why, anyone who isn't a film nerd probably wouldn't care.

Top 2, that I can never decide on which should be #1:
- Blade Runner
- Dr. Strangelove

The rest:
- Schindler's List
- LotR Trilogy
- A Streetcar Named Desire
- Delicatessen
- The City of Lost Children
- Mulholland Drive
- The Shining
- Romeo + Juliet
- District 9
- Withnail & I

Kamitsure-chan January 25th, 2011 7:35 PM

My two favorite films that are fighting for my #1 favorite are Memoirs of a Geisha and Repo! The Genetic Opera. They are pretty much on the top of my must-watch-again list when I want to watch something.
