Rules
1-No spam, trolling, nor falming
2-Follow PC rules
3-Stay Active

Partners
Partners vary, but must be a level 1 pokemon that hasn't evolved. Every time you post, it will be counted as one level. When your pokemon reaches level 100, the limit, you have the freedom to choose another Ghost pokemon. You can keep up to six at a time. If you decide to not gain another partner and keep posting, your posts will be counted and added up. Once you decide to get a partner, all those posts and levels that were sum up will be automatically added to your new partner.

Ranks
To get to a certain rank, you need a certain amount of posts. If you go inactive for more than a week, you will go down a rank. If you go inactive for more than a month, no matter if you are a certain rank, you will go in the inactive member list and never be allowed back in this thread nor group. Going up a rank means gaining an extra amount of 10 added.

Evolution
Pokemon evolve via four methods. Level based, level and evolve when you have gained enough posts for it to be counted as the level. For a Pokemon to evolve via happiness, post everyday for a week straight and make sure it's level 15 or higher(post on the seventh one that you want it to evolve). The item method, post to the Owner that you want this specific item. Once you receive it, it will evolve. Make sure you know certain members, since for a Pokemon to evolve via trade, start by posting "I want <pokemon's name> to evolve!". Afterwards, if 3 others do the same thing to your pokemon, then it will evolve.

I would like to have Gobitto (Ground/Ghost) please. And can it be shiny?

@Sirknight, you're in. :P
Alas, the first member joins....you can have Gobitto. :) The new topic: Which Ghost Pokemon do you think would be considered the pure-type Ghost?

NamelessGuy
I would like to seek entry into this group because Ghost-types are by far one of my favorite types.
I would like to have Shuppet.
I'll be on quite a bit on weekends, but not as much during the week. I'll still find time, though.

Without looking at types I would say things like Haunter and Duskull because they look cool and Mismagius.

Otherworld9) January 16th, 2011 3:22 PM

Ghost Appearance

In my opinion, I'd go with Haunter, Shuppet, and maybe even Duskull. They all look very Ghost-like in my opinion, appearance-wise.

I would also say Shuppet. But I if something like Drifloon or Burunkeru attempted to haunt me I would just laugh.

Otherworld9) January 16th, 2011 5:23 PM

Silly Pokemon

As you said before, Pururiru(I think I spelled it right), is based on a floating octupus that has the sad-looking face. It's like a floating teddy bear trying to scare me...in my opinion.
Drifloon, well, it's a balloon, hands down.

Regeneration January 17th, 2011 3:57 AM

Count me in~ I'm joining with Gastly as my partner.

Which Ghost Pokemon do you think would be considered the pure-type Ghost?
The entire Gastly evolutionary line. They don't seem to be poisonous to me, I wonder why they are dual types. =\

Otherworld9) January 17th, 2011 6:37 AM

Regeneration

@Regeneration, you're in. :) Welcome.
I'll put you up right away, by the time you read this, you're in.
And good question, I don't see why the Gastly evolutionary line is poisonous.

NamelessGuy January 17th, 2011 8:20 AM

Probably because the Gastly evolutionary line is composed of gas.

PUREGHOST?
i think.. the pokémon from generation I and III were pretty much the Pure Ghosts. the rest is.. meh.
i agree with Regeneration on the fact i don't get how the Gastly family are POISONtypes either :/
.... and hey. i could've sworn Glalie was a GHOSTtype too.. but it seems it isn't. ahwell XD;

booOOoooOOOoo..

Otherworld9) February 11th, 2011 1:25 PM

Well then, new topic.
Which Ghost type do YOU think is the number one ghost, and why?

dithyrambos February 12th, 2011 12:55 AM

I want to join! I need to join. And I would love to have Litwick as my partner. (:

Which Ghost type do YOU think is the number one ghost, and why?

ehm. He's not all that useful but Dusknoir is seriously my pokebro, because standing in front of a Pokemon who is taller than you makes you look epic. And Dusknoir looks like a BAMF, tbh.... And his shiny sprite is AMAAAAAAAZING. And and and I also love everyone else just as much. ♡

eta: also, how does one become co-owner!?

ナギ February 12th, 2011 5:33 AM

#1 GHOST?
i think i'ma go with either Haunter or Gengar on this one. they look the most like ghosts to me..
altho maybe i should've gone for Froslass, she's the only WHITE ghost after all XD;

Gentlemen, take your bedsheets!
yes, i am bored.

Snow Phoenix February 12th, 2011 7:25 AM

Pure Ghost: I'm actually fine with how they did things. So no pure ghost for me, although, if I had to pick one it would be the gastly line cause the poison thing cripples them :/

#1 Ghost: Duskinoir is pretty tough looking so I'll have to go with him... even if Froslass is my favorite ghost for being half-ice.

Well, in this case, then you can just ask to be a Co-Owner...just note that once you are in, you must be pretty active, and If I'm not here, you're in charge. In this club, there can be a maximum of 2 Co-Owners....once the club expands by a lot, then we might expand that 2 to a 3...:paranoid:

Cool beans -- and I'd love to be co-owner, then! 8D

~doesn't hear the part about being active~ Just joking, aha. Actually, I can be really active because I'm currently unemployed and I'm not in school at the moment. It's just that I have crappy luck when it comes to familial matters. If I were a co-owner, having two would really be ideal just in case I or the other person have unexpected life issues/events/ect. to deal with.~ :)

Well, in that case, then you are an official Co-Owner, congratulations!

dithyrambos February 12th, 2011 11:01 AM

Thank you, oh revered one! Nothing says "GHOST FAN" like co-owner of the Haunted Realm.

Also, so that I'm not spamming

Which Ghost Pokemon do you think would be considered the pure-type Ghost?

I'd go with Spiritomb! In fact, he/she is 108 "spirits" in one! Duskull can also be considered a true ghost because of his aesthetic ties with the Grim Reaper, who is kind of a ghost.

And there's Shedinja, who is the ghost of a discarded shell of a bug. Honestly Shedinja just screams Kingdom Hearts' Nobody.

That's all I can think of from the top of my head...

Rawrinism February 14th, 2011 9:37 PM

Number one ghost? hm, that's really hard to decide... I love them all equally. But ones that stand out is Spiritomb! <3 It's like a rock. A rock made out of evil spirits and sins. Gosh, I wish I used one when I played PLAT. >_<
Anyways, I also like Jellicent. <3 It's soooo.... unexpected! I never knew it was ghost type until I looked it up! D:
It kinda reminds me of like Alantis? deceased Kings and queens? Just a thought. :p

I agree with dithyrambos' statement about Spiritomb. ^_^

Jellicent is awesome. I managed to get the account name "Jellicent" on LiveJournal. 8DDd And, well, I love Greek mythology (my username is proof of that!) so I love that Jellicent is reminiscent of Atlantis. ;D

I used to have an entire box full of shiny Spiritomb. They were hacked, of course, but they were perfect fodder on the GTS. I usually got what I wanted the same day (often within the same hour) that I asked for it. I guess I should have some shame, but... It's so hard finding a fair trade that I really had no choice...

I think sabayle should get a new evolution, it just looks pretty lonely all by itself. :( lol

Grass types are slowly taking my love for ghost types away! ;O
I just wish there would be a ghost/grass type pokemon!
Hm, wouldn't skullkid from zelda work? ;)

A good design and possibllity, if the creator even watched Zelda. Grass and Ghost would be a first, but probably win in a popularity since I have read many, but many posts saying ho cool it'd be to see a ghost/grass.

As for the question, I agree with you on Sableye.

ナギ March 1st, 2011 5:33 AM

finally a new topic!

MORE/LESS EVOs?
i honestly don't mind Sableye being a without EVOs .. cause its so awesome just by itself. making it Bigger doesn't always make it Better XD;

i do think Spiritomb might be in need of a PREVO.. Spiritomb could maybe have a bit less evil and huge-ish form instead of suddenly having 108 spirits absorbed altogether.
just like you have a Magnemite before you get a Magneton .

Otherworld9) March 1st, 2011 2:12 PM

I must say not many are posting like I thought, ????
Heh, I can handle it anyway....but Spiritomb might need an evo...I don't know for sure though, but the magnemite and magneton concept was good.

dithyrambos March 1st, 2011 5:19 PM

The only Pokemon I really want an evo for is Sableye. .....And maybe Rotom. I mean, I just really hate how Rotom is no longer a Ghost-type depending on it's form. >__< An evo might amend this. XD; But, I can't ignore how conceptually perfect Rotom seems as is (imo, anyway). A Spiritomb pre-evo actually sounds really cool -- I had never thought of that before. I can't think of any evolutions I want to get rid of. I really love them all too much. :P

Otherworld9) March 4th, 2011 2:33 PM

I guess there isn't that many members now, so I guess we need a new topic now that the active have responded....so.....:
What do you think on Generation 5's Ghost Pokemon?

ナギ March 4th, 2011 4:34 PM

yeah, but it figures. maybe we should haunt em.
now for the new topicness!

GENV GHOSTS?
... meh.
that's really all ive to say on them. i like most PREVO forms, as theyre kindof cute, but the rest..
i like the concept of a chandelier ghost tho. and somehow i think Yamask and.. its EVO shouldve been GROUNDtypes rather than Golett &co. guess it's to do with pyramids and most of them being in a desert and theres loads of sand and ground and youknow.

my faves would be Golett &co .. the others are still abit.. well they're more like objects related to ghosts than ghosts themselves IMO.
--- except for the strange but oh-so amusing Spirit Jellifish.. XD;

but maybe i just have to get used to them. ill get back to you when i battled/caught/trained them in BW. <3

Otherworld9) March 5th, 2011 2:27 PM

I don't have much to say really, but I do find the flying Jellyfish quite amusing, I think it's quite cute in fact, :P. Maybe they can be taking it a bit too far in making pokemon out of items, but like you said, I guess we have to get used to them.

dithyrambos March 17th, 2011 4:09 AM

Hmmm. I really like the Litwick and Frillish lines, but the Golett and Yamask lines are a bit meh to me, as well. Although, I seriously LOVE that Golurk can learn Fly. That is just super epic.

With Golett, it's just... the typing bothers me for some reason? Idk. He technically isn't a robot, but I feel he could have been. And if he were a robot we might have had our first Ghost/Steel-type pokemon -- a type I've wanted for a long time. Just think of the havoc you could wreak with Burungeru and Ghost/Steel-type pokemon! This combo would be unstoppable. Oh well. I can still rock out with Jellicent, Chandelure, and Golurk. They cover each other pretty well.

I love how creepy the PokeDex entry for Yamask is, but I'm not very excited with its design. Cofagirus is especially uninspiring. If it weren't for it's connection to Courage the Cowardly Dog and the fact that it's a Ghost-type, I'd be completely disenchanted.

Also slightly OT: if my AR still works, I'm going to start offering hacked shiny Spiritomb on the GTS again. No, I have no shame, lol. The GTS is just... I can't even. Today I tried Trade Negotiations and some guy kept waving all his shiny pokes in my face. XD; So, yeah, jsyk any shiny Spiritomb that Eden is offering on the GTS was obtained via AR.

Otherworld9) March 17th, 2011 1:54 PM

Maybe so, maybe so......do you all think Pokemon shows, mangas, and probably updates on the games will be delayed? I mean, Japan has gone through A LOT. Literally, a lot. I fell sooo much pity for them.

End of sad moment: well, I guess I can say I might want one of the spiritomb...but I don't know what the AR is. XD stupid of me, I know. Is it short for something? I ain't good at initials, sorry. If it's on the gts, then trading for what?

ナギ March 27th, 2011 7:12 AM

i'm not sure if Pokémon was delayed, i don't keep up with the anime anymore since the start of the D/P arc. XD;
i did notice some other anime lagging though, but eventually they all came out again. Japan moves on, i guess. what can ye do?

i don't need no spiritomb, tho, lol. i dont have wi-fi like 'special' pokémon overall, i've noticed.. like legendaries or shinies.. meh.
i'm guessing AR is some kind of system to hack a pokémon game? like GameShark perhaps, i haven't used hacks since the GBA generation XD;

iono.

Regeneration April 16th, 2011 4:45 AM

Time to give life to this club! :D I remember an interesting topic in the previous ghost type fan-club which we can revisit.

New topic: It has been shown in the games and the Anime that Pokemon can die. Do you think this applies to Ghost Pokemon as well?

CheshireNeko April 17th, 2011 3:03 AM

I'd like to join, ghost is my favorite type. Shedinja please, if I may =)

On topic: That depends on how they work, I'm not sure. If say we have a Rattata, then it dies and becomes a Gastly. If that's how it works, then Gastly can't die because he's already dead. But if ghost pokemon is an independent species, then they could probably be destroyed like any other types.

dithyrambos April 18th, 2011 10:31 PM

I think that Ghost-type pokemon can die. IMO, ghost pokemon ≠ ghosts as we know them. They have a lot of similarities, but they also have their differences. If they were ghosts in the conventional sense, they would be made of an immaterial substance and therefore be physically untouchable. Also, they would be super-effective against Dark-type pokemon. IRL, ghosts are closely tied to the dark. One could even say they are attracted to it. Most of the time, when someone is afraid of the dark, it isn't really the darkness they fear but what may come out of it ( and the fact that they are short one of their five senses doesn't help ). On the other hand, some ghosts -- not all -- are in a state of limbo, a place very close to Hell, so they are tied to evil as well. When thought about this way it seems like Ghost-types should be super-effective against Dark-types. I do understand why Dark-types are SE against ghost pokemon, though: besides other ghosts, it's the only thing that can "touch" them. But, on the other hand, how many types have a true, intimate understanding of darkness and evil....? I feel that they should both do double damage against each other. That would make everything right.

I just went waaay off topic there, lulz...
