Thank you, oh revered one! Nothing says "GHOST FAN" like co-owner of the Haunted Realm. Which Ghost Pokemon do you think would be considered the pure-type Ghost? I'd go with Spiritomb! In fact, he/she is 108 "spirits" in one! Duskull can also be considered a true ghost because of his aesthetic ties with the Grim Reaper, who is kind of a ghost. |
Number one ghost? hm, that's really hard to decide... I love them all equally. But ones that stand out is Spiritomb! <3 It's like a rock. A rock made out of evil spirits and sins. Gosh, I wish I used one when I played PLAT. >_<
Anyways, I also like Jellicent. <3 It's soooo.... unexpected! I never knew it was ghost type until I looked it up! D: It kinda reminds me of like Alantis? deceased Kings and queens? Just a thought. :p I agree with dithyrambos' statement about Spiritomb. ^_^ |

Jellicent is awesome. I managed to get the account name "Jellicent" on LiveJournal. 8DDd And, well, I love Greek mythology (my username is proof of that!) so I love that Jellicent is reminiscent of Atlantis. ;D |
New Topic:
Which Ghost Pokemon you think needs an evolution or eliminate one? |

Grass types are slowly taking my love for ghost types away! ;O I just wish there would be a ghost/grass type pokemon! Hm, wouldn't skullkid from zelda work? ;) |

As for the question, I agree with you on Sableye. |
finally a new topic!
MORE/LESS EVOs? i honestly don't mind Sableye being a without EVOs .. cause its so awesome just by itself. making it Bigger doesn't always make it Better XD; i do think Spiritomb might be in need of a PREVO.. Spiritomb could maybe have a bit less evil and huge-ish form instead of suddenly having 108 spirits absorbed altogether. just like you have a Magnemite before you get a Magneton . |
I must say not many are posting like I thought, ????
Heh, I can handle it anyway....but Spiritomb might need an evo...I don't know for sure though, but the magnemite and magneton concept was good. |
The only Pokemon I really want an evo for is Sableye. .....And maybe Rotom. I mean, I just really hate how Rotom is no longer a Ghost-type depending on it's form. >__< An evo might amend this. XD; But, I can't ignore how conceptually perfect Rotom seems as is (imo, anyway). A Spiritomb pre-evo actually sounds really cool -- I had never thought of that before. I can't think of any evolutions I want to get rid of. I really love them all too much. :P |
I guess there isn't that many members now, so I guess we need a new topic now that the active have responded....so.....:
What do you think on Generation 5's Ghost Pokemon? |
yeah, but it figures. maybe we should haunt em.
now for the new topicness! GENV GHOSTS? ... meh. that's really all ive to say on them. i like most PREVO forms, as theyre kindof cute, but the rest.. i like the concept of a chandelier ghost tho. and somehow i think Yamask and.. its EVO shouldve been GROUNDtypes rather than Golett &co. guess it's to do with pyramids and most of them being in a desert and theres loads of sand and ground and youknow. my faves would be Golett &co .. the others are still abit.. well they're more like objects related to ghosts than ghosts themselves IMO. --- except for the strange but oh-so amusing Spirit Jellifish.. XD; but maybe i just have to get used to them. ill get back to you when i battled/caught/trained them in BW. <3 |
I don't have much to say really, but I do find the flying Jellyfish quite amusing, I think it's quite cute in fact, :P. Maybe they can be taking it a bit too far in making pokemon out of items, but like you said, I guess we have to get used to them.
|
Hmmm. I really like the Litwick and Frillish lines, but the Golett and Yamask lines are a bit meh to me, as well. Although, I seriously LOVE that Golurk can learn Fly. That is just super epic. |
Maybe so, maybe so......do you all think Pokemon shows, mangas, and probably updates on the games will be delayed? I mean, Japan has gone through A LOT. Literally, a lot. I fell sooo much pity for them.
End of sad moment: well, I guess I can say I might want one of the spiritomb...but I don't know what the AR is. XD stupid of me, I know. Is it short for something? I ain't good at initials, sorry. If it's on the gts, then trading for what? |
i'm not sure if Pokémon was delayed, i don't keep up with the anime anymore since the start of the D/P arc. XD;
i did notice some other anime lagging though, but eventually they all came out again. Japan moves on, i guess. what can ye do? i don't need no spiritomb, tho, lol. i dont have wi-fi like 'special' pokémon overall, i've noticed.. like legendaries or shinies.. meh. i'm guessing AR is some kind of system to hack a pokémon game? like GameShark perhaps, i haven't used hacks since the GBA generation XD; iono. |
Time to give life to this club! :D I remember an interesting topic in the previous ghost type fan-club which we can revisit.
New topic: It has been shown in the games and the Anime that Pokemon can die. Do you think this applies to Ghost Pokemon as well? |
I'd like to join, ghost is my favorite type. Shedinja please, if I may =)
On topic: That depends on how they work, I'm not sure. If say we have a Rattata, then it dies and becomes a Gastly. If that's how it works, then Gastly can't die because he's already dead. But if ghost pokemon is an independent species, then they could probably be destroyed like any other types. |
I think that Ghost-type pokemon can die. IMO, ghost pokemon ≠ ghosts as we know them. They have a lot of similarities, but they also have their differences. If they were ghosts in the conventional sense, they would be made of an immaterial substance and therefore be physically untouchable. Also, they would be super-effective against Dark-type pokemon. IRL, ghosts are closely tied to the dark. One could even say they are attracted to it. Most of the time, when someone is afraid of the dark, it isn't really the darkness they fear but what may come out of it ( and the fact that they are short one of their five senses doesn't help ). On the other hand, some ghosts -- not all -- are in a state of limbo, a place very close to Hell, so they are tied to evil as well. When thought about this way it seems like Ghost-types should be super-effective against Dark-types. I do understand why Dark-types are SE against ghost pokemon, though: besides other ghosts, it's the only thing that can "touch" them. But, on the other hand, how many types have a true, intimate understanding of darkness and evil....? I feel that they should both do double damage against each other. That would make everything right. |
