TCard Contest [Discussion]

Alrighty, I think it's high time for another TCard Contest. Unfortunantly, I have yet to set any real plans into motion. So, this is where you guys come in. DUN, dun, dun! I'll be needing ideas & suggestions on how exactly this contest should play out - contest categories, rules, the like.

As reference, here is what the old contest layout looked like:
Quote:

Contest Category Info/Rules

Categories:

Classic - R/S & FR/LG style TCards
New Age - Anything goes
Animated - Animated cards

Rules & Regulations:

Overall:
- TCards submitted in the Classic & New Age categories have to be your own work.
- In the Animated category you may use TCards made by other people as long as you give credit.
- You may only send in 1 TCard per category thus allowing 3 possible entires.

Classic:
Cards entered must look identical to the TCards in R/S or Fr/Lg. You ARE allowed to make minor changes to the templates, which I go into more detail below the classic TCard example.
- Size Limit: Width[228] - Heigth[148] pixels

Things you may edit on the classic TCard:
- You may change the color on ANYTHING
- You may change the pokeballs to another type of pokeball
- You may use ANY font
- You may change the background to anything you wish
- You may make other minor edits as long as it's nothing too drastic (For example, you may round off corners of the TCard)

New Age:
Anything goes except the size, but remember that this is a TCard competition, so keep in the spirit.
- Size Limit: No more than Width[320] - Heigth[200] pixels

New Age entries will be judged on originality, so keep that in mind.

Animated:
Animate your cards! Two different types are accepted...

- Slide Show: Please try not to make this animation have more than 10 slides.
- Rotating: Keep the speed of the rotating card in mind when making your animated TCard

I encourage everyone to make your own TCards for your animations, but if you must, use whatever cards you already own via TCard Request threads. As stated above, give credit to the people who created the cards.

Contest Info/Dates & Deadlines:

I will accept all TCard entries through PM only. Please do not send multiple PMs of the same entry. Also, in the subject line of the PM, put whatever category you are entering that particular TCard in.

- Contest will run [Sept 5 - Sept 30]
- Start sending in TCard entries [September 5]
- All entries must be in by [September 20]
- Entires will be judged [Sept 21 - Sept 26]
- Results will be posted [Sept 30]

For the classic, can I change the background, to make it look like this http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v447/j_spiro1/latios619card.png

Um sure, but the info/rules I have posted above are only being used as reference. They are subject to change between now & whenever the contest gets going.
