PearlShipper4Life March 27th, 2011 9:37 AM

Spoiler:
Ooh There's a lot of HancockxLuffy shipping from Amazon Lilly arc to the War arc to now. I've become a shipper of them and is trying to decide if I should change my avatar to a LuffyxHancock one LOL. Last nights episode was a good one, poor Luffy felt really bad for the guy you saw how much pain he was in. Poor Hancock you saw how much in love with Luffy she was inXD LOL The bear on Law's team pretty funny, maybe some day his dream will come true :( Man the woman on the island did not like Law and his team at all. Next weeks episode is the crossover episode, don't know if there will be two episodes.
At least we have a manga chapter to look forward to.

Crossover episode...what do you mean by that?
I thought next would be that start of the Sabo arc.

Also, it kind of surprises me how little people use spoilers here.
Not a bad thing I guess, just something I'm not used to. xD

Anime 491
Spoiler:
Pretty emotional episode here. I think they added some stuff that wasn't in the manga. But it's good additions. Seeing Hancock so love sick is always funny to watch. She's just like some school girl. xD Then I feel bad for Luffy and how much he's suffering. They extended his rampage scene in the anime, and made it even more hectic. Scared me a bit when he threw that huge boulder. o.0 Oh yeah, and we see the effects of Whitebeard's death on the rest of the world. I wonder what it's like after the two years.

I think we could have two episodes next week, crossover episode and the start of that arc. I mean its both series not just One Piece so. Awe crap your right I forgot to add the spoiler thing around my post, I'll fix itXD
Spoiler:
People have no idea what there in for, they were afraid of WhiteBeard wait till they see BlackBeard in action!

Alternative March 28th, 2011 3:19 AM

I love all this stuff with Luffy and Hancock, really I do. I mean, you can tell that Hancock is very much in love with Luffy, and he's just oblivious to the fact that she loves him. It's like it's just a part of her nature and he thinks that's normal. I also liked all those parts when he calls her "Hammock". XD;

thedestinedblade March 28th, 2011 5:56 PM

Yeah, romance is pretty much nonexistent in One Piece, so despite finding her annoying at times, Hancock is certainly a breath of fresh air.

Alakazam17 March 29th, 2011 4:08 AM

I don't know if this was mentioned specifically or not, but perhaps the nonexistant romance was restricted to just StrawhatxStrawhat pairings. XD

I do think Hancock's musings over Luffy are cute, albeit exaggerated. If I can't have my RobinxZoro, this is an awesome substitution. Though if Hancock can lay off on the obsessive fangirling, and Luffy can lay off on the ignorance(or maybe not), it'd be better.

PearlShipper4Life March 29th, 2011 3:52 PM

Oh yah you can see Hancock loves Luffy for sure, always risking her life for him. I'm hopping her dream about marrying Luffy comes true, course after maybe Luffy gets the One Piece. I don't want her heart to be broken *Awe*

Zameric March 31st, 2011 3:34 PM

Manga 619
Spoiler:
The cover story was cute. Haven't seen those two in a long time.

Neptune's water Kamehameha Merman Combat really interests me.
I'm wondering who else can use this combat form and what other moves might be.

I figured that Hordy wouldn't be defeated just yet. This is gonna be a good fight.

I lawled hard at Luffy's idiocy and Jinbe freaking out! XD
Sanji's back to normal, glad that's over with.

What's this about "Vander Decken's Poison Fang"?

I knew that Arlong had at least an indirect connection with Jinbe.
But this almost sounds like Jinbe personally sent him to go to the East Blue. o.0

Alternative April 1st, 2011 11:43 PM

I just finished the Impel Down arc, and it was pretty good. Magellan seemed like a tough and formiddable foe, and I like how they brang Mister Three and Bon Kurei back into it, along with Crocodile, Buggy the Clown and Mister One. I also really did like the Okama Queen, Iva-sama, which was kinda cool I guess. I'm also liking Inazuma who seems really cool, being able to do anything, and hold a wine glass with elegance. :)

PearlShipper4Life April 4th, 2011 12:01 AM

Well I guess I can't double post here dang it! Ok, so I'll give a review on 619 a bit and talk about the crossover episode that aired this weekend.

Spoiler:
First the episode was pretty good, I enjoyed it and love how Luffy's other dream came true. Come on you just know it was to have an island full of meatXD

Now the chapter

Spoiler:
Let me say, its glad that the old Sanji we know and love is back while its still annoying that he'd flirt with every girl and put Nami and Robin over the captain. At least Sanji won't have nose bleeds and turn to stone now. Hopefully we get to see the guy in action and kick the crap out of whoever will be facing him. Decken V.S Luffy will hopefully end with Luffy defeating him, guy keeps trying to kill him I feel its only right for Luffy to be the one to take him down. Mermaid Princess, not sure what kind of relationship she has with Luffy, kind of hard to tell if she likes likes him or not. Zoro and the others getting caught, will Luffy's group go to save Zoro's group? Or will Zoro's group just break out while Luffy's group maybe fights Hodi??? Just some idea's here, can't wait to see how it all plays out. Over all fun chapter and King Neptune is pretty cool.

Won't be a chapter next week speaking of which, there will be one the next though. Can't wait to see what happens!

Alternative April 5th, 2011 7:10 AM

Eh, I don't read the Manga, and I haven't even finished catching up with the anime yet, but I'm really close! I only got like, ten more episodes to go until I've caught up. After then, I'll probably re-visit some older episodes which I didn't watch because they bored me, or just for teh lulz, like the second lot of what the Strawhats are up to after the Sabaody Archipelago arc, or the episode right before Zoro and Usopp fight Kaku and Jyabura. Enel God that episode made me lol so hard. :D

Maybe Thriller Bark, since I skipped that arc completely. :L

PearlShipper4Life April 6th, 2011 3:49 PM

So your in the War arc than? cuz that's where the anime is, well its done actually and we are now in the LuffyxAce flashbacks arc. It will be sad to watch, knowing the fate of Ace.

Ok, so Chapter 620 is out now folks

Spoiler:
Zoro gets no air till the flashbacks are over, sorry ZoroXD I really enjoyed this one though, the scene of Luffy drinking the tea was classic it gave me a good laugh LOL. Sanji finally back to being the Sanji we know is great to see, I liked seeing him serious like that again. Villains team up maybe? Creepy stealing mermaid guy/Decken?? Or they just attack at once and Luffy/Sanji team up?? I don't know who will be fighting who, its any one guess here. I can't wait for the rest of the flashback next week. Over all a good chapter.

Now, back to the anime LOL.

you skipped Thriller Bark? :G

It was boring at first but it picks up.

oh yea, sign me up for this club. :V

Alternative April 6th, 2011 4:21 PM

Yeah, I'm in the Marineford arc. I think after that when Red-hair appears and demands a stop to the war, is really when the Post-war arc starts, and then after that, it's all over, until the two-year time skip. I can't wait for that to be honest. I wanna see rock star Brook. :3

Yeah I did. I just found it boring, and I wasn't really motivated when I was watching it myself. I would struggle to even watch one episode in a day. Maybe I was constantly hit by Perona's ghosts when watching it? :P

EJ April 6th, 2011 4:23 PM

I'm waiting on that skip~

I haven't seen any of the pictures for the crew after the skip except for Franky (looks ridiculous). So yeah I don't read the manga.

Alternative April 6th, 2011 4:31 PM

As far as I know, there aren't really many changes, except for Franky being a giant now, essentially, and Nami having longer hair. I just wanna see Brook as he is then an international rockstar. :3

EJ April 6th, 2011 4:34 PM

Hahahaha it should be pretty rad.

This week's episode was a crossover right? I didn't bother with it.

See I liked the Thriller Bark club from the start, it had loads of humor in it, than the action picks up more so later on. It remains one of my favorite arcs to this day. Welcome EJ!

Yah Time Skip should be soon, team being together again will be fun.

You didn't watch the crossover? Meh I don't think there's subs for that any ways yet, I watched it without themXD

EJ April 6th, 2011 6:26 PM

Exactly I couldn't find a subbed version. watchop has the Raw hahaha

My favorite arc to this day is still Alabasta...idk why but i loved it. Water 7 comes in at a close 2nd.

thedestinedblade April 6th, 2011 7:23 PM

For the few here who read the manga, the spoilers are out. (620)

Spoiler:
Pretty sweet chapter. Even some flashbacks from Nami suffering under Arlong. We finally got to see Fisher Tiger, and a younger Arlong and Jinbei. A lot of things said this chapter were already known, but I guess they needed to be reiterated because of the New Fishman Pirates.

Alternative April 6th, 2011 7:41 PM

I'm pretty sure watchop have the subbed version now. Well, it says they do now, which is good. I'm looking forward to the Post-War Arc, but I'm unsure on it, since it's most like going to be just flashbacks on Luffy's past with Ace, and more updates on what's happened to the Straw Hats during the commotion at Marineford. I'm looking forward to what Robin's been up to, with all that Revolutionary Army stuff at that bridge. :)

EJ April 7th, 2011 9:43 AM

To be honest when I saw that they were all spread apart I got depressed. The sudden realization that it was gonna take forever for them to get out of their situation hit me xD.

Alabasta arc was good, it had Luffy V.S Crocodile that was such a good fight. Vivi how I miss her but hey at least they have cameos of her every now and than. I can't wait to get back to the main plot, more LuffyxHancock moments FYI. However kid Luffy is fun to watch so yah. I can't wait to see what happened to Robin too and Kidd cuz there rivalry is one of my favorites. Water 7 arc was awesome, I can't wait for it to be dubbed in English so we can own it on DVD.

Alternative April 7th, 2011 4:39 PM

Alabasta is without a doubt, one of the best Arcs in the anime to date, or at least I think so. It's just funny and everything, and it introduces Mizu Mizu no Luffy which made me laugh. I remember when I would watch it in English when 4kids dubbed it, and they got really, at the start of Luffy and Crocodile's first fight and stopped, which was depressing. I really started to get into it then, and I wanted to see what would happen next. :)

Also iirc, Funimation already started dubbing Water 7?

PearlShipper4Life April 7th, 2011 11:28 PM

Be glad they stopped before the big fight, they would have done so many edits its not even funny. Funimation version is ten times better, they do it pretty much the same as it was in the Japan version. From what I heard will get info on the next arc being dubbed by Funimation this weekend, look forward to itXD

Alternative April 9th, 2011 5:04 AM

Since I've been thinking and watching One Piece a lot lately, and that I love it so much, I actually want to go and buy it, or at least one of them. I'll most likely go and buy the first one from Funimation, and try to get used to their dubbing, since I watched it a lot in English with 4kids dubbing. The only thing about 4kids that was actually good, was the theme song, which is more funny, then anything else. XD;

That's the better idea, yah Funimation version is ten times better than the 4Kids version. For some reason some people see that and think bleh about the show, well that's cuz it was a horrible version of it. Watch the Japanese with English subtitles or Funimation. Any ways forgot to say my opinion of the newest episode in Japan, it was so cute.

Spoiler:
New opening, it was so good one of the better ones as of late. Than we have kid Luffy who is freakin adorable, funny and every thingXD So many funny scenes and the animation and music was good too, over all a good episode, one of my favorites. I'm thinking, the anime team will do a good job on this arc.

New Chapter out this week guys, just a heads up!

Alternative April 11th, 2011 4:23 PM

I'm pretty sure the new arc will be good, but I'm highly unsure on it, since I'm guessing it will be mostly plot filler and flashbacks. If they show what's been happening to the other strawhats, especially Nami, Robin and Brook, then I'll be happy.

Flashbacks is one thing but I'm thinking its needed, oh do you mean the manga or anime? If you mean the anime, it is supposed to deal with Luffy/Ace so of course tons of flashbacks. I think from the looks of it though, the anime team can hanndle it, been enjoying it so far. Yah them showing what happened with the others would be awesome. Learning what happened to
Spoiler:
Zoro's eye
For one thing.

EJ April 11th, 2011 5:42 PM

Man I liked the new intro but the episode itself was kinda slow imo. It was wicked cool though to see how they met, etc.

Looking forward to next week's

Alternative April 11th, 2011 7:58 PM

I mean the anime. I mean, flashbacks are good and all, but only if they're really meaningful. One Piece, is something I've come to love, and that they do flashbacks really well. I think Robin's past was what really got me into all those flashbacks. I really do hope they flesh out the story of Luffy and Ace some more, and not too slow either.

Worst flashbacks were probably the Enies Lobby arc, where they just show us stuff we've already seen, except with the ending all the same. I just skipped all those, since I know all their pasts.

I do agree, those flashbacks in the Engies Lobby wasn't the best but this is an entire arc for it, not just one episode. I enjoyed it in the manga myself but it looks ten times better in the anime, seriously loved it. The opening, the music I felt matched it and every thing.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lvJDK6zcasM

Awesome!

EJ April 13th, 2011 5:53 PM

Yes! The intro was awesome. Since I haven't read the manga I'm still a little confused on the kid with Ace and Luffy but I'm sure they'll explain that soon.

Alternative April 13th, 2011 6:24 PM

From what I've seen, he makes an appearance in the next episode and goes by the name of 'Sabo'. He is apparently the third brother of Luffy and Ace, or what they consider being a brother by sharing Sake cups or something.
Spoiler:
He's located in this new place Luffy encounters.

Also, from watching previous episodes, or just segments, it really reminded me of how much Zoro get's lost. I mean, one time at the Enies Lobby arc, when they're rescuing Robin Nami specifies that they have to run up the stairs to get to her, but Zoro runs down the corridor. Of course, he blames her for her directions being too confusing. XD;

PearlShipper4Life April 14th, 2011 6:41 PM

The story behind Ace/Sabo/Luffy really is cute, this up coming arc explains a lot about Luffy. I think they did a good job in the anime so far, am sure the next episode will rock ;)

The latest chapter has been out 621

Spoiler:
Arlong wasn't what he seemed to be and the same can be said for Jinbe I mean wow. I'm really liking the Queen, sad that we already know what happens to her. How the heck did the Queen give birth to that big baby? I mean holy cow. Over all, these flashbacks have been fun, Oda is really good with this stuff. Can't wait to see how it ends, if they'll go save Zoro and his group soon, don't know how much longer the guy can go without air LOL.

Alternative I like your avatar ^^

thedestinedblade April 16th, 2011 12:52 PM

Spoiler:
Someone mentioned in another forum that she might had the princess as an egg? Makes some sense at least. I'm glade the Queen isn't just a copy of her daughter. The scene with the thief was a bit cheesy, but I guess it was done to show the queen's unique personality. The last panel with all of the Sun Pirates was pretty badass.

Like Alternative said...
Spoiler:
He's the adoptive brother of Luffy and Ace.
You should learn some about him in this weekend's episode on Funimation.
The plot of this flashback arc will revolve around those three meeting and living together.

Yes, that's like Zoro worst trait.
He has no sense of direction when traveling.
Spoiler:
I'm not totally sure, but I think it's gotten better after the time-skip.

Technically, the Princess would be a copy of the Queen. ;p
But also, it's been stated that there are great variety with merfolk and fishmen genes.
An individual could end up looking nothing like their parents.

Anime 494
Spoiler:
Well, I've read this whole arc in manga, so it will probably be very similar.
Hopefully they'll flesh out some scenes or make small additions.
The main thing I want to comment on is Sabo's seiyu.
I think Junko Takeuchi (Japanese voice of Naruto) was a great casting.
I might actually watch some of the arc now, instead of just skimming it. :p

Alternative April 16th, 2011 7:54 PM

Seeing the scene just before the Marineford Arc with Zoro and Perona makes me question who's right. I mean, Perona told Zoro exactly where his swords were, and Zoro spent three days looking for them. :/

PearlShipper4Life April 17th, 2011 9:13 PM

Ok this weekends episode aired, little lateXD

Spoiler:
This arc so far has been one of my favorites, every thing they've been doing is just wonderful. Good music, good animation, Kid Luffy is adorable to watch and I really liked how it ended. Another thing, I loved Luffy's lying face, guys right he's horrible at it LOL. Man I'm excited for the next episode even, I mean I know what happens and all but its even better in the anime as some one said.

Alternative Zoro has a bad sense of direction LOL. Just watch all the past episodes, even going on a stragiht path he gets lostXD

Alternative April 17th, 2011 9:21 PM

I know Zoro has a bad sense of direction, but it's kinda funny as well. Even the Marines pointed it out. "Roronoa Zoro, we have been imformed that you have a terrible sense of direction."

I also watched the movie 8, which is a remake of the Alabasta arc, and I didn't really like it. They left out so many things in there, like all the stuff at Rainbase and Vivi getting chased up the cliff by Bon Kurei and everything. It was kinda annoying which upsets me. It makes me want to go back and watch the Usopp and Chopper vs Mr. 4 and Miss Merry Christmas fight again. ^_^

Anime 494
Spoiler:
I quite enjoyed the episode. Introducing Sabo as Ace's friend, and the treasure. Luffy's lying face was enjoyable. I wonder what's going to happen now with their complicated relationship. :/

thedestinedblade April 17th, 2011 10:22 PM

494

Spoiler:
Aside from thinking of Naruto every time Sabo spoke, it was a really great episode. Porchemy torturing Luffy was pretty brutal, and you can see the lawless kinda place the Gray Terminal is.

Alternative April 18th, 2011 1:21 AM

You really thought Sabo sounded like Naruto? Maybe I ought to listen to his voice again, but I thought Sabo sounded more like 18 year old Luffy, more than anything. Maybe it's the same voice actor or something... :S

thedestinedblade April 18th, 2011 11:57 AM

It is the same voice actor, so every time Sabo would say something, Naruto immediately came to mind. :/

HAHA Zoro having a bad sense of direction is one of things I love about his character, just cracks you up. I hope the guy hasn't lost that side of him in the Time Skip, that'd make me sad :( You should watch movie 9, that's kind of like a remake of when Chopper was introduced, its a bit odd cuz
Spoiler:
Franky and Robin are in instead of Vivi, which I was shocked about, those guys were in it after Chopper. Well whatever, it was still fun and seeing Zoro and Franky team up was cool. They did leave out some scenes that happened in the arc that I liked, like Zoro getting lost while training and being under the snow, both Usopp and Vivi thought he was insane for thatXD They also missed those snow bunnies helping Luffy which they shouldn't have, those snow bunnies don't normally like humans and Luffy saved them allowing them to change there opinions on humans, oh wells.
See the flashback arc has been really good, next weeks looks just as good as the past two episodes have been. I enjoyed the War arc but this one has been more fun. Hopefully they continue that when the Time Skip comes and I'm sure they'll show some fillers on
Spoiler:
The gang training.
HAHA I typed a lotXD Ask for Sabo's voice, I guess I haven't watched Naruto in a while so it doesn't bother me.

Alternative April 18th, 2011 3:06 PM

I know Movie 10 is the one about Strong World or something, but isn't that also the one with Shiki the Golden Lion as well? I wouldn't mind seeing that as it seems kinda interesting to watch. I also enjoyed the Little Blue mini special as well, which is kinda connected to that movie or something. :/

Oh man movie 10 was great too, you should see that one for sure and yes I think that's movie 0 your talking about and its connected with that movie. Its about
Spoiler:
the Pirate King fighting the main villain off of movie 10. It is pretty cool to watch, than you see Luffy and his crew fight him off :classic:

I might watch them soon, since they seem to be connected. I'll need to watch them both when I have a lot of time, which seems to be all the time lately, so it will most likely be soon. :)

Also I like Brook, especially when he's in the City of Poverty. He's all there, doing his usual thing in "May I see your panties?" And instead of the usual reaction of him being a pervert wanting them, they're all like "You heard him! He wants the panties!" I also like all the jokes with him mentioning that his stomach is full... but he is a skeleton, so he doesn't have a stomach, and other various jokes. YOHOHOHOHOHOHOHO!

We technically don't see Luffy at 18.
He's 17 in the first half of the series, and 19 (probably close to 20) after the time skip.
But I'm sure you just meant 17. :P I kind of find it odd that you think Sabo sounds like Luffy.
But like Icebloom and I pointed out, Sabo and Naruto have the same Japanese VA.

I'm hopping Brook gets a battle this arc and shows off what he's learned too.
Spoiler:
It'd be awesome if Brook got to fight that swordsman instead of Zoro this time. Lets not forget, we have two now ^

Ooh Tonight we should be getting the spoilers on the next manga.

I didn't think Sabo sounded like Luffy, I didn't think he sounded like Naruto either but I only watched the English dubbed version of that show soXD I have been enjoying Sabo so far though in the anime, they are doing a good job on him.

PearlShipper4Life April 20th, 2011 6:35 PM

Ok todays chapter is out

Chapter 622

Spoiler:
Bleach is knocked out of the big three from the cover ouch! Eveyr thing about this chapter was epic! I hope Luffy does bring the Queen's wish to life the end of this arc, feel really bad for her :'( Tiger is an awesome character am really loving what they are doing with him, big bounty man and he well. Over all a really good chapter like normal, Oda you rock!

No Chapter next week it seems sorry folks! However at least we have an episode to look forward to. I don't know about most of you but
Spoiler:
I'm excited to see how Ace and Sabo save Luffy in the anime, see hanndle it.

Alternative April 23rd, 2011 3:23 PM

I'm pumped for the new episode of One Piece. What will happen next will be awesome, yet intriguing. I just wanna see it right now. :o

Question though, has anyone played any One Piece video games? I've seen videos of One Piece Unlimited Cruise SP, and that alone makes me really want to get it. From what I've seen, it goes right through from the beginning of the Morgan arc (yes, that's what it's called) up to the end of the Marineford arc, which I think is just amazing. It's coming out on the 3DS as well, which is double awesome. :D

The episode has been out for a while now, did you enjoy it yet? I think the people in charge of the anime is really having fun with this arcXD I haven't played the games before. Next week
Spoiler:
Guess the brothers become brothers.
No new manga chapter out this week, pretty sure will get a new episode at least though.

Alternative April 25th, 2011 9:11 PM

I saw the episode. It was pretty good, but I guess I'll have to watch it again to properly analyze it and give a better synopsis. :)
Spoiler:
I think Luffy has good reasoning for wanting to be Ace's friend, and I really want to see them become true brothers. :)

You don't read the manga right?
Spoiler:
In the anime they just show Ace and Luffy becoming brothers, wonder what happens to Sabo there?
Not spoiling.

Alternative April 27th, 2011 6:32 AM

I don't read the manga, which is sad for me. The manga is something I've never really been interested in, really.
Spoiler:
I really want to see what happens to the other Straw Hats in the third installment of them, especially Brook and Robin. I wanna see Robin's encounters with Dragon in the revolutionary army, and Brook since he writes a song and I wanna hear it since it sounds just awesome, and really funny. :D

thedestinedblade April 29th, 2011 10:37 AM

A bit late...

495

Spoiler:
Nice episode. Even at such a young age Ace already possesses quite a bit of fighting ability. Next episodes will be getting to the meat of this arc. The interactions between the three kids are definitely entertaining.

May I join? :3

I'm pretty behind on the anime. I'm on episode 189.. but I'll catch up. promise. <3
I only now realized that I'm a One Piece fan. o/

Alternative May 1st, 2011 5:40 AM

189 eh? That would mean that you're just finishing on n the Skypiea saga then, am I right? I did enjoy that saga, since it had it's funny bits in it, but by no means it's my favourite saga, or arc.

Just a notice. Don't open spoilers. unless you want to be spoiled for later episodes.

496 [Not really spoiling the episode]
Spoiler:
Can't wait for the episode in subs. I wanna see how they go in the diner or something, which I saw in just a youtube picture. :P

thedestinedblade May 1st, 2011 2:53 PM

Why hasn't the latest episode been subbed yet? It never takes this long.

Edit: Just watched it subbed. :]

Spoiler:
Really great episode. The three of them share a drink at then end and become brothers. I remember Sabo instantly becoming one of my favorite characters after hearing his back-story in the manga.

Yeah, it's a pretty enjoyable saga. I just finished episode 183 (speeding through XD). Enjoying Luffy vs. Enel.

Sorry about being late, of course you can join welcome to the club, those episodes are great and it gets better and better as the series goes on. You'll love it!

Boy was I shocked that there was a chapter this weekend, I was happy too Oda again is always great with flashbacks. I think next week
Spoiler:
Will find out how the Queen died.

The episode 496, just watched it myself didn't know it was subbed already.

Spoiler:
Luffy saying he wants to be the pirate King for the first time was amazing ^ I loved the training scene, some really funny scenes too. This arc has been really good, even fillers of this arc have been.

Alternative May 2nd, 2011 5:44 PM

The only reason I'm enjoying this arc is because it's Luffy back when he was younger. :)
Spoiler:
I think it was an okay episode. Apart from the fighting scene, and the ramen scene, there really wasn't much going on in terms of plot. I think this was more of a character development episode for Sabo. It's not surprising that he was a Noble, but I think his reasoning for leaving his family was completely fair. It seems before now, Sabo had a pretty bad life.

From what I understand
Spoiler:
It will be a filler the next episode, as long as its enjoyable. I'm thinking once the Luffy/Ace episodes end, will be seeing some Zoro/Sanji and the rest of the gang train for a few episodes. I do think they are trying to let the manga get a head.

PearlShipper4Life May 8th, 2011 2:30 PM

Newest episode aired over the weekend in Japan

Spoiler:
The anime team is doing a great job on this arc, todays episode had so many LOL moments, Garp just cracked me up and LuffyXD Really its making me even more sad that we lost Ace :(

thedestinedblade May 9th, 2011 6:24 PM

Was this week's episode a filler?

Alternative May 9th, 2011 9:33 PM

I would have said that this weeks episode was a filler, unless
Spoiler:

I would have said it was some what, I feel as long as the filler is good though. Next weeks looks to be all filler from the preview, with good animation, maybe it will be funny at least like last weeks was.

Reminder: New spoilers should be out tonight, if not tonight than the chapter should be out tommarow.

Alternative May 10th, 2011 9:19 PM

To be honest, I hope they get out of filler soon, and start officially with the next arc. This Post-War stuff is really starting to bore me. It's all Ace and Luffy and Sabo when they were little, and it's just annoying.

Zameric May 11th, 2011 3:51 PM

Hey guys, Sorry I haven't been around the club in a while.
Finals this week, so I should be around more now.

Manga 624
Spoiler:
Johnny and Yosaku seem to have gotten a bit stronger.
We move on through the time that Jinbe is captain.
Some more disappoint for Queen Otohime.
The Queen gets drunk and rants on the speaker system. :P
Jinbe takes on the position as one of the Warlords of the Sea.
And a surprise emergency appearance from a Celestial Dragon for the next chapter.

I think this flash back arc is starting to wind down.
To me, Fisher Tiger's death seemed like the climax.
But next week's chapter could change that.

Alternative May 11th, 2011 9:34 PM

I should really avoid opening these Manga spoilers, I don't read it. :P
I've been slowly watching the Thriller Bark arc, and it's pretty good so far. I don't know why I skipped it entirely. It's not my favourite arc, but it's still good. I'm only up to where Oz has just been brought back as a zombie, so it's about halfway or something. I'm looking forward to Luffy's fight against Gecko Moriah and Usopp against Perona. The arc just seems slow to me for some reason.

Binary May 13th, 2011 10:19 AM

I so want to catch up to the Thriller Bark arc. ;;
I'm on episode 215 and enjoying the Davy Back Fighting, but I kinda wish that Luffy didn't choose to do it all over again. >>;

Alternative May 13th, 2011 7:37 PM

I really did enjoy the Davy Back Fight arc, even if it was short. I really did like their pirate version of "Red Light, Green Light" which was funny. I don't even know how Zoro can get lost there. :D

But you learn so much about Luffy in this arc, little Luffy is so adorable. Whenever we return to the present it should be about
Spoiler:
Luffy/Hancock, which I'm really looking forward to, plus Luffy training. I do think will get some fillers of Zoro and the others training {Which should be fun} Than the Time Skip.

Thriller Bark is one awesome arc, the ending is freakin epic! Don't worry, I won't spoil you on it. Its one of my favorites though, I'm glad your enjoying it so far.

New Chapter, I was late on my review, darn!

Spoiler:
I will be sad to see the Queen die, she's become one of my favorites. If I read right, one of the Dragon's will be involved in all this, I hate them and am glad Luffy took out a few. I've been enjoying this flashback arc, however I am unsure who will join still. I think it will be between Camie/Mermaid Princess/Jinbe still. Hey you never know, Mermaid Princess may have some sort of shrinking ability and be able to shrink enough to be able to fit on the ship? Plus, she wants to see the world doesn't she? People say she's too weak, well I say Jinbe is too strong. Besides, if the Mermaid Princess can shrik and grow like I'm thinking, she can smash boats if whenever she's big. Well, just my opinion any ways.

New episode Saturday! Looking forward to it.

Hi Zameric, been a while, awesome seeing you again.

Alternative May 14th, 2011 6:52 AM

Spoiler:
I'm not really all that interested in their training, except maybe glimpses of Luffy's and Robins', since her story was really good. I really can't express this enough, of how much I want to see Brook's third part before the time skip. Zoro's should be good as well, and then Sanji's and Nami's time alone.

Regardless of that, I'm really hoping for the timeskip to happen soon. I know the arc is good, but we really know everything about Luffy now, so there really isn't much need for more filler now.

Well
Spoiler:
we don't know a thing about Luffy's mom, whether she's dead or a live, I'm hopping for an arc about Luffy's family next. Show how Dragon became who he is, what happened to his mom. I'd hope Luffy's mom was a live and maybe for some reason on the Goverments side and really strong, than they could have a battle man would that be great! It'd be nice if the fillers here gave us a hint about Luffy's mom, even if just fillers, they some times do things the manga wasn't able to so. I'm sure will see fillers on the others in training too, probaly right before the Time Skip happens. I'm looking forward to Luffy's/Zoro's/Sanji's training the most me thinks. Maybe Nami and Robin too, you make a good point about her's. I bet Usopp's trainning episodes will be really funnyXD

Forgot to disuss todays episode.

Spoiler:
It was really good, little Luffy was adorable as always and freakin funny, shaking the bridge a bit cracked me up. I think I spotted haki being used a bit?? Looks like we learn a bit more on Ace/Pirate King. Again, it was pretty good for an all filler episode, if they keep up the quality for the filler episodes people will be able to enjoy it so here's hopping!

Next weeks looks great too, oh yah its a two part episode so be sure to check it out.

Alternative May 15th, 2011 5:00 AM

Spoiler:
I wouldn't give Luffy's parents an entire arc for themselves, but maybe just a small segment, or a flashback or something. Dragon would probably be discussed during Robin's little thing, as she goes off with the Revolutionary Army for a while. Luffy's mother might be explained there too, but maybe Garp will explain that also.

Also, I wonder what happened to the old fansubbers? I quite liked them, making their text fancy, and explosive whenever someone uses a special move. I thought it added somewhat of flair to the show. :D

I remember those fansubbers, on Vacation??? Or maybe College?? Have no idea honestly LOL..

Alternative May 15th, 2011 4:24 PM

Spoiler:
Now that I've been thinking about it, in the end of the CP9 saga where Garp appears, Luffy mentions to him, and everyone else that he knows nothing about his parents. My predictions is that Robin meets up with Dragon and asks him about all these things, like Luffy's mother.

Yeah, I have no idea what happened to them, but I really liked those fansubbers. They were really cool! Maybe even the ones that did the Thriller Bark ones as well. I'm not complaining about these one's but I just like the others ones better.

I also pretty much skipped this episode as well. I'm like "catching a tiger, yep" and skipped right until the end, where something meaningful happened.

PearlShipper4Life May 17th, 2011 3:27 PM

Spoiler:
Think Robin would tell Luffy about his mom? Or Dragon asks her to keep it a secret from him till he figures it out some how?

You skipped the episode last weekend? It was cute though *awe*

New spoilers tonight Manga wise.

Alternative May 19th, 2011 6:33 AM

I started to watch it, but it did seem a little dragged on a bit, and I'm quite sick of these filler episodes, putting in random people which will never appear later in the show. What they do need is to finish this little kid nonsense. I'm hoping they finish it and get on with the training, because I'm eager to see stuff after the time skip. :)

Zameric May 19th, 2011 9:51 AM

Manga 625
Spoiler:
Pretty good chapter, I have to say.
I expected Queen Otohime to have been shot in the torso and die.
But she was only grazed and she saved the World Noble.
And then Shirahoshi starts crying and unconsciously summons up Sea Kings! o.0
I wonder if she's mastered this technique by the present, yet.
And then we get so see the moment Vander Decken decides to pursue the Princess.
But when the Queen decided to go Mariejois, I thought this was going to have an ominous ending.
Luckily it ended on a happy note.
Maybe we'll get back to the present in another chapter or two.

There just doing it till they get in a few more chapters, the anime is almost caught up with the manga me thinks. I love kid Luffy though, to me he's the best part of this arcXD

Chapter 265

Spoiler:
Holy crap, did not see the mermaid Princess having a power like that, I figured she might have some sort of power but not that big. Still doesn't convince me that shey'll join, I'm still thinking either Jinbe or Hodi or no one and they wait till the New World for some one?? Mostly thinking Jinbe, we have pros and cons of him joining but for now he is the most likely choice. I'm really wanting some one to get killed by Luffy here at the end {Hopefully} I'm thinking three more chapters till the flashbacks end, I'm excited to get back to Luffy and his adventures and find out what happened to Zoro's group. At the same time, I've been enjoying the flashbacks LOL.

Can't wait for next weeks chapter and this weeks episode, I'm curious to see how this filler ends.

Alternative May 25th, 2011 6:06 AM

This week's episode seems to be a lot like filler to be, since it probably is, thanks to the title of the episode, so I'm not going to watch it this week. I'm fine with learning all about Luffy's past and all with Ace and Sabo, but I don't like random filler for what is meant to be learning. D:

I think this weeks episode is back to canon actually. I don't mind filler as long as the anime does it well, they did the last filler really good. Did you read this weeks chapter by the way? Felt it was really good and...

Spoiler:
Next week the flashbacks should be ending, Queen's death had me cry a little FYI this and Tiggers death so sad :( Looks like Luffy's is going to be the one to guide the mermaid Princess to destroy the place. I think its pretty clear, Luffy's been helping her out the entire time only makes sense. Over all, very touching episode some funny moments too wih Decken, that guy is pretty funny. I have a feeling its Hodi who shot the Queen, do think Luffy and Hodi will fight but I've always thought this since Jinbe's message not to fight and I still think that even moreXD

Alternative June 4th, 2011 11:26 PM

Episode 500
Spoiler:
Finally, we're back to canon! Sabo's back in the high-up noble snob place, which he doesn't like. I'm hoping he comes back to Ace and Luffy and tell them about what's going to happen in the Grey Terminal.

Episode 501 is out for you doods to watch, and I'm predicting that there's going to be about 10-15 episodes left of this arc before they shift over to the new world. 6-7 episodes about the untold story of brothers, 4 episodes of the rest of the strawhats, and then the rest depicting what's going to have with Luffy. Then we should finally be caught up with the new world.

Spoiler:
Either that, or when Fishman Island finishes in the manga.

Weewer June 5th, 2011 9:04 AM

Awwh yeah, One Piece is one of the few mangas I enjoy reading and it's actually my favorite. Amazing characters, fights, plot, scenarios, it's just overall the best there is in my eyes. It also goes hand in hand with my interest of pirates, which bled over to my fanfic as well.

A Pixy June 5th, 2011 11:02 AM

I agree with this, this series has every thing you'd ever want an anime/manga series. FYI latest episode
Spoiler:
You really felt bad for Sabo, than of course Dragon. I think this arc is almost over, than we have the Time Skip man I can't wait for the gang to get back together again.

A new Chapter will be out this week, we didn't have one last week so just reminding every one here :)

Alternative June 13th, 2011 11:42 PM

I've been really lazy with One Piece lately, since I've been busy with other anime and whatnot. I'm going to try and get back to watching it like, tomorrow or something and watch the latest few episodes, which I've missed. It's only two weeks, so it can't be too hard to finish. I really want this arc to end soon. It's boring me more than the beginning of the Thriller Bark arc.

I think this arc is pretty much almost over, it went by fast for me but maybe that's cuz I found Kid Luffy adorable :) Newest chapter came out today.

Spoiler:
Looks like we could end up having a Luffy V.S Jinbe fight, the ending to this chapter was epic, loved the way Luffy looked at the end :classic: I understand Jinbe not wanting Luffy to fight as it would cause more hate. However, come on mer people should hate Hodi for doing this crap, really??? Me thinks they'll all love the Straw hat crew at the end of this arc. Also, Oda is a freakin genius dealing with comedy ok he's a genius with the manga over all but this just had some major funny moments that I couldn't stop laughing. One example had to be, when Luffy found out about his new bounty awe man I can't wait to see that part in the animeXD Franky and Chopper talking about being humans??? Usopp's impression of Robin, ok the guy is still funny as ever, man am I glad both him and Luffy still make you laugh. Over all a very good episode, we got to learn a few things and it moved the plot, feel bad for Zoro/Usopp/Brook, they'll be save by the others I'm sure though and fight later on to show how bad ass they've become.

thedestinedblade June 15th, 2011 1:42 PM

Chapter sounds good. I haven't watch or read anything of One Piece for about 6 weeks now. I'll need to catch up as we're getting closer to the time skip in the anime, and the climax in the manga. :D

Alternative June 15th, 2011 10:49 PM

Episode 501
Spoiler:
I was surprised to see Dragon appear at Sabo's side after the gate incident. I'm assuming Dragon will have some sort of influence on Sabo and maybe something will happen in the future with him.

Predictions
Spoiler:
Because of this fateful meeting with Sabo and Dragon, I have a good feeling Sabo's going to join up with the revolutionary and play a big part in the new world. I'm also assuming Robin will play a huge part in the next arc because of this. But even then, she'll play a big part in anything to do with the revolutionary army.

But anyway, I was watching the latest episode when they mentioned something about choosing to be born a noble, and being an idiot if you chose not to be born into a noble family. That was weird, since it's not like you can choose this path, but just say you could, would you?

You really need this weeks chapter for sure, things are starting to heat up.

Ask for Sabo

Spoiler:
I do think hey'll return due to what happened in the anime, I'm starting to get a hint that he's still a live ^

Just as a random question about the manga, since I don't read it. Did they show the other strawhats throughout Luffy's time after the Sabaody Archipelago, or is that an anime only thing?

Spoiler:
They don't show the rest of the Straw hats till after the Flashback arc, should be ending next week from what I gather. I'm thinking, the anime will do some filler training for each Straw hat, including Luffy too. Man, I've been enjoying the Flashback arc, this weeks episode once again really good, the ending was so sad though. The anime had me like Sabo more and more and has me hope that he lives. Still, can't wait to get back to the present, see our Luffy/Hancock and the rest of the Straw hat crew!

Spoiler:
As far as predictions go, I can't see much more happening in the untold story of brothers. Now that Sabo is presumably dead to Ace and Luffy, there's not much else that can really happen. All the Bluejam events have happened, and the only thing left that I can see which will be done is Ace and possibly Luffy also taking action against the Celestial Dragon.

Yah, I don't know what else they can do for flashbacks either, just maybe more training for Luffy/Ace for filler scenes but I don't see that. I think the Flashback will really be over finally. Again, I really loved the Flashback arc, Toei did a good job on it. However, I'm really looking forward to being back to the present, see teen Luffy/Hancock/Jinbe yah know. I do have a feeling we might see some Hancock fillers for now, Toei might shove as much Hancock as possible, I like Hancock so that's fine by me. I also know of some nice LuffyxHancock moments that happen in the manga, I look forward to those moments in the anime

New Chapter out..

Spoiler:
What Robin/Brook can do now is just freakin awesome! I really want to see them in fights soon, ok I want to see the entire Straw hat crew in battles and see what they can all do. We had some really funny moments, how can you not think what Robin did to Luffy/Sanji/Jinbe wasn't funny? You just have to laugh at that scene, bet the anime will make it twice as funny. What happened with Brook at the end made me smile too. Luffy V.S Jinbe was good, things are about to go down though, will see how Jinbe likes it when Luffy gets serious. The ending, we knew that wasn't it for Zoro, Oda had him run out of air so he could do even more epic things. Of course will see Luffy in action against Hodi, I'm sure of it, too much foreshadowing.
