Lets take this way! Its a shortcut.

I'll be blunt:

In a given situation, do you ever take "the easy way" out of something?
If you would, why would you?
If you wouldn't, why wouldn't you?

Not really. It depends on the situation, but I like to do things the right way and not cut corners.

If you would, why would you?

Like I said, I don't like to do things by half. Pretty simple for me to be honest.

It really depends on the situation. For example, at my school one can challenge for credit, getting the credit for the course without taking the class. I would only take this "short-cut" if I knew I could get by without taking the class in its entirety. And for another example, it is faster for me to walk home if I take the "short-cut" of j-walking across four lanes of traffic on this main road near where I live. I usually wouldn't take it though, for hopefully obvious reasons. XD

So bottom line, it definitely depends on the situation, and how big a risk you're taking, if any, by taking said short-cut.

Yeah when I needed to especially when I'm out of time. Sometimes taking shortcuts could cause you more a lot of trouble when you're lazy enough to take the challenge.

Sometimes yes, sometimes no, depending on exactly what the situation is. Other times, I don't really have a choice but to go through things the hard way. And in different times, I would rather go the easy way. Nowadays, I would much rather go the easy way than anything else.

There are easy ways out of things? That's news to me.

If you wouldn't, why wouldn't you?
There usually is no easy route for me, so...haha.

I almost always take the easy way out because it's much more convenient. I wouldn't take the easy way out because there are times when I like a challenge.

It depends what it is. Sometimes I like to go thorough the whole process so I don't mess anything up. But other times when feeling lazy I take shortcuts. XD

It depends on the context. If, perhaps I'm doing something . . well, that also depends on what I'm doing as well. Usually I like doing things the correct way, but in an efficient manner. If it benefits me and there are no consequences, I see no reason to not take shortcuts. lol.

Elite Overlord LeSabre™ January 19th, 2011 8:04 AM

Like others have said, it depends. If it's something I don't care about and I'm only doing because I have to, I'm willing to do anything to make the task easier while still doing an acceptable job at it. If it's something that's important to me I'm less likely to try to take a shortcut.

Morgnarok January 20th, 2011 2:36 PM

I would normally take the easy way out so i could get done faster but if i am trying to work towards something then i would go the hard way so i would achieve more from it.

Im so guilty of this -.- I tend to do so mostly because Im lazy, and it saves time and effort. Like mopping the floor, I just dowse soap all over the floor and run it over with a wet mop, then dry the floor with a towl. Easy as 1 2 3 :D and it smells like lemon!
