Save error after elite four, FR ROM

Hey all! urm...this is my first time posting here, so I'm sorry if I've posted in the wrong place, or not found a thread/post that has the answer I'm looking for, or just generally done anything wrong! :nervous:
So anyway, i have a problem; when I use the in-game save, it doesn't work. When I use the VBA way of saving, it says it can't write the state or whatever. but, when I select the place and name of the save game, it works! Wait! That's not the big problem I have! I just wrote that in case it links in with the problem I'm about to describe! Right, I defeated the Elite Four (FR ROM not LG), and all the credits rolled up. It then said 'the end' and an error came up saying something along the lines of '1MB circuit board error'. Something like that. The intro animation came up. It didn't load my finished game, and instead it saterted up a new game.

I was really pleased when I finished it, and it hasn't worked! :( If anyone has any ideas of how to fix this, please tell me! I will be so gretfaul! Also, please bear in mind, when explaining something that could be the solution, that I'm computer illiterate! Thanks! :D

That because ROMs arn't good they do that somethimes, that's why you should buy the game *gasp*!

It could be the way the rom was programs to operate. I myself never dally in roms, so I'm not educated in their programming or operation. But still, I agree wtih Mullet. I doubt you would have had any problems if you just bought the game from your local video game store. :\

We don't talk about ROMs here, rom's are illegal.

There is a patch for it, though, if you search... but then you have to restart the game after getting the patch.

Switch to 128k save type. Delete your save file then go to Emulator -> Save Type -> Flash 128k. Or you could be lazy and find a patch.

You can't load from a save state and then do this though so you have to start over either way.

Since this is should be Emulator Discussion since its a ROM issue (that can't be fixed unless VBA set 128k save type as default) and its been asked so many times....
