Does anyone know when Animal Crossing comes out?
|
Too many good games coming! (Note! This is an EU list!)
http://www.nintendolife.com/news/2011/08/heres_the_european_release_line_up_for_2011 List includes all current Nintendo consoles. There's also some good 3DS VC games and few release dates that weren't known before. |

QR Codes, they are alot so more coming soon.
Pokemon B/W/PT/R/B/Y/G codes. With Gary and N More codes at here. |
"I think we just promised Super Smash on 3DS".
The best thing anyone said at E3.... .... EVER. |
I'm pretty excited for a lot of 3DS games coming out soon. Theres Kid Icarus, Super Mario 3D Land, Mario Kart 7 and Super Pokémon Rumble. I'm gonna have to dig into my piggy bank a lot before 2012 now. xD |

I think I'll be getting another title within this or next week. Just... hmm... what title to get? It has to be something available in the NA region, since that's my 3DS region (as are most 3DSes sold here). |

Toys R Us also had some games for $19.99 when I was in there about a week ago (Rayman, Rabbids, Ghost Recon, and a few others). Ghost Recon is definitely worth looking into, especially if you like strategy games. |
Oh, I think I forgot one bit - I do not live in America. (Yes, there are other places that get NA region systems and games.)
|
Argh, all these good games that don't exist yet. :< Call me when it's Christmas. DeSuO may end up being my first retail game.
Anybody bought Urban Champion yet? That looked pretty good, but I'd rather know if it has more than 4 levels. |
Finally did my first eShop purchase on my 3DS after getting permission from my dad. Bought Link's Awakening DX. I think I'm liking it.
I'm using the Brazil eShop region because, well, that accepts all foreign credit cards and is also tax-free. I wonder what else should I get? |

Also, do type in the last digit, despite what the others say - the issue is now fixed, so things are reversed. Now, typing in the last digit in the box is necessary... If it doesn't work properly for you, try again without the boxed digit. |
its probably been asked already but, is ther any speculation as to if they are doing lite version or improvements? and when do you think this would happen??

I don't think there is anything on the cards as of yet and I think a light version or improvements won't be coming out for a long time; the only 'improvements' is the change of colour, since a red 3DS is coming out or could be out already, can't remember. |

It's just a rumour but as the last sentence said: "While 01net has good form in this regard — it was right about the Wii U controller after all — we also advise caution when dealing with rumours, so don't get too carried away." I don't believe this before Nintendo says it is gonna do it and I don't actually need second analogue (unless new games will need that thing). |
Not having a second analogue is probably the biggest fault with the system's control scheme. Even worse than the silly START / SELECT buttons, and having sliders for volume / 3D control.
Nearly every game can benefit greatly from having two sources of precision control. The most obvious applications are FPS games, and manual camera control in third-person action / platforming games. |
I just saw a commercial about the 3DS, and I was shocked. I'm in the U.S. and the 3DS price just dropped from $249.99 all the way down to $169.99. This page says more about it.

The touch screen is multi-purpose, you know :) |
I encountered a problem with my black version. My connection works fine on wifi when I go into the wifi room, but even with my friends fc put in correctly he doesn't even show ip in the room. There isn't any error codes he just doesn't show up. I'm using a 3ds and he is using a DSi. I'm using a WPA2-PSK (AES) security

If anyone is interested, this is the official NES ambassador game list for japan:
Super Mario Bros. The Legend of Zelda Ice Climber Balloon Fight Donkey Kong Jr. Wrecking Crew NES Open Tournament Golf (called Mario Open Golf in Japan) Yoshi (known as Yoshi's Egg in Japan) Metroid Legend of Zelda II: The Adventure of Link Source: http://www.nintendo.co.jp/3ds/ambassador/detail.html#fc PS. North America confirmed to have exactly same games |
Lots of talk lately about Nintendo scrambling to release a rebadged 3DS with less emphasis on the 3D aspects among other things. Validity of the these claims notwithstanding, it'd make a somewhat decent way to work around the lacklustre quality of the visuals that the 3DS can output, seeing as current 3DS games are designed around the severe drop in quality by rendering two viewpoints at once. This leaves the graphics hamstrung even in 2D mode, because you can't just suddenly make the characters more detailed and the textures sharper and clearer the minute you turn down the 3D slider.
It would be one way to help the poor battery life, too - and seeing as 3D is not actually a gameplay changing experience it doesn't hamper games to not run in 3D. Unfortunately, the process of manufacturing the necessary 3D screen also resulted in the system having an extremely poor resolution in comparison to anything else on the market, and that probably has just a great effect on how the games look at this level - you can push as many polygons and pixel shaders on screen as you like but it won't help when you're displaying a screen resolution similar to most N64 and Playstation games. I think this is something that will become much more apparent once the Playstation Vita hits, but it's still noticeable when you look at the current line-up of smartphone devices. For comparison, the 3DS's top screen (400 x 240 pixels) has half the resolution of high-end Android smartphones (800 x 480 pixels) and less than half the resolution of the iPhone 4 or the Playstation Vita (960 x 544 pixels). I think Nintendo have stumbled very badly this time around, and unless they can really push the new price-drop 3DS (and actually make people aware that this is a new system entirely) with popular games that will sell the system, they're going to face their greatest competition yet in both the smart phone market and Sony's Playstation Vita - Sony learned from their mistakes that the PSP took too long to have worthwhile games and seems to be trying to launch with both titles that people are anticipating and a similar emphasis on social / online functionality like the big consoles and smartphones can provide. |
Heads up: Japan and North American-designated regions now have them. Check "Your Downloads" in "Settings/Other" to redownload. Note that you may not see it - if that happens, try again after a few minutes. I got all of them NES titles and the cert now.
