A dude in Rock Tunnel with lvl 25 Geodude. Rly, I can go thrugh it without flash (and so I do always) and with no repels, but I always forgot, that the sucker has got selfdestruct ;x

Sirfetch’d July 4th, 2013 11:41 AM

To me the most annoying part was reaching the secret house in the Safari Zone. Took me a few tries and I was annoyed by the time I finally reached it.

Rizardon July 4th, 2013 3:27 PM

Silph co.
It was really confusing when I was small and I still consider it to be very confusing till this day lol.

MainstreamMew July 4th, 2013 6:51 PM

Seafoam Islands most certainly was the most annoying for me.

Wuddupz July 11th, 2013 11:51 AM

The cave where you have to use strength and move the rocks around. I think it was Seafoam Islands? So freakin' tedious. That and the cave right before the Indigo Plateau was annoying too.

KorpiklaaniVodka July 11th, 2013 1:08 PM

I don't like Geodude... if they are at a sufficiently high level and you send out a Pokemon that isn't Grass- or Water- type (and isn't overleveled), they're just gonna survive and then use Selfdestruct, which hurts like hell considering it's a 300 base power attack.

Especially in Rock Tunnel and Victory Road, where Graveler are also present. I hate those two caves.

Bagon13 August 9th, 2013 9:33 PM

The Rock Tunnel, when i entered it was all black i could't see anything it was confusing and the Silph Co. too it was annoying

The Notorious B.I.G. August 10th, 2013 4:47 AM

The most annoying thing in Emerald for me was May, her stupid happy song when she wants to battle.

clefable919 August 10th, 2013 7:35 AM

As a child the Pokemon Mansion would confuse the heck out of me. It became especially enraging when those level 43 Raticates wouldn't let me run away and just take chunks of my HP away with Hyper Fang. Too much for my small child temper to handle.

Precious Tears August 10th, 2013 12:50 PM

Pikachu being a starter,
I don't like it.
It just doesn't feel right to me.

ErikaInRainbowCity August 10th, 2013 5:04 PM

Any of the caves ESPECIALLY Mt. Moon.. there's a reason why everyone hates Zubats :P

bitbybyte August 10th, 2013 6:13 PM

For me? I'd say........... oh god no. I remember playing through the Lass girls and they would have Bellsprouts, and the Bellsprouts would always use wrap and stun spore on me. Ugh, it gave me nightmares! That wasn't a great experience for me. XD

Satiel August 10th, 2013 6:35 PM

I think the caves were the worst for me.
Mostly because I would always forget my way around, so I'd end up at the beginning of the cave going "What the heck-I'm lost!"
:I

As a person to was introduced with G/S/C,I really hated having to go in the menus to use HMs,also the bag system was really cluttered.

Purple skies August 12th, 2013 9:03 AM

I hated going through power plant i had a very hard time going through parts on the cave

Danny0317 August 13th, 2013 9:03 AM

Lt. Surge's gym was extremely annoying. I hate it.

Lucky1Yena August 13th, 2013 10:21 AM

The things that irritated me in R/B/Y were (and still are):

"You missed the Pokémon" even when it's at like, 1 HP and asleep or frozen.

Lt.Surge's gym puzzle. Seriously, the location of the second switch seems completely on a random side to the first switch.

Realizing I'd defeated everyone and couldn't fight any trainers anymore except the Pokémon League.

Purple skies August 13th, 2013 12:48 PM

I say the hardest part of these games is the power plant I really hate getting pass these parts alone parts

pokefan648 August 13th, 2013 5:06 PM

all the trainers you have to fight like youngster lass hiker etc. its annoying it like theres no way around them. i play pokemon blue at the moment so im tired of doing those fights. i try to be careful and steer (or walk) clear of them.

I agree with this, I always hated it. Then when you had to head to the Pewter Gym you had to keep grinding your Pikachu in the wild to even stand a chance against him.

Cassandra September 6th, 2013 6:07 AM

I hated how dominant Psychic types were. They had no good checks or counters back then, so when somebody sent out Alakazam, I knew it was over.

Aeroblast September 6th, 2013 7:08 AM

Inconvenience in using Bicycle and HM moves such as Cut and Surf.

Whitney's Shaymin September 6th, 2013 7:05 PM

I have been playing my blue for the last week and my worst part is FREAKING SABRINA!!!!!!!
She keeps spamming my mew with recover!

Tsutarja September 7th, 2013 6:09 AM

There are many things I could list about First Generation annoyances, but the honorable mention goes to the guards that watch over the gate houses into Saffron City.. if they're so thirsty, then why couldn't they just get the drink themselves?

Hiatus September 7th, 2013 8:46 PM

Not being able to travel fast was kind of a problem for me, but that was easily fixed as soon as I got my hands on the bicycle. (:

Being poisoned was the thing that troubled me the most. Every time my Pokémon were poisoned, the screen used to become pixelated with some sort of a scary sound effect. This used to make me think that my batteries were running out of power, so I constantly had them replaced with new ones. I've wasted a lot of good batteries that way, haha.
