I wanna wear this though...

Sometimes, we're stopped from wearing somethings. Has that ever happened to you?

I'm sorry, but I like wearing black jeans. But my mom prefers I wear cargo pants...no thank you.

Captain Fabio February 19th, 2011 12:48 PM

Nope.
I have never attempted to wear anything stupid enough to warrant my parents to ask me to change my clothes.

Alice February 19th, 2011 12:49 PM

I wear plain T-Shirts, and Plain jeans, with a plain hoodie. Every day. So... no. lol

ShinyMeowth February 19th, 2011 1:06 PM

I wanted to wear a suit when I went to purchase Heartgold and Leafgreen. My mother told me it was going to rain, so I went with casual clothing >_<

Saryka February 19th, 2011 1:17 PM

Skinny jeans and a nice shirt, that's pretty much all I wear. Nothing scandalous enough that my parents are telling me to change my clothes. I don't recall ever being stopped from wearing something.

Massacre. February 19th, 2011 1:24 PM

T-shirts and jeans, all I wear. When I was going to a wedding, of course I wore a suit, and one time it was rainy and my mom told me not to wear my leather jacket. What's wrong with that? Even if it's just minor rain she WILL force me to wear a hoodie. Seriously?

Sydian February 19th, 2011 1:24 PM

I dress nice for a guy, if I do say so myself. But nothing too crazy to where my parents would stop me from going out the door. I'm a bit eccentric with dressing, but that's what people seem to like about me. But I ain't gunna be going out in some yellow pants and neon shirts. That's not me. Just like a lot of layering and cardigans and hats and such. Accessories are nice too.

NOW. As a kid, I'm sure I tried wearing something stupid that my parents probably didn't want me out in. :P

That's boss.

Capris February 19th, 2011 1:40 PM

My mom doesn't let me out in tank tops and short shorts anymore. Unfortunately.. :(

Rai February 19th, 2011 6:20 PM

My parents have never complained about what I wear. I like wearing black, band shirts, and loose jeans. They have no problem with this.

If I wore skimpy clothing, however, I'm pretty sure my mom would not like it. But I like being covered up so that isn't going to to happen :P

Thomas February 19th, 2011 6:23 PM

Besides at school (I went to a private Catholic school) no one has really forced me to wear something or told me not to wear a specific item of clothing. But to be fair, I never really dressed crazy. xD

PlatinumDude February 19th, 2011 6:26 PM

As much as I'd like to wear shorts every day, my dad wants me to wear pants when we go out. But I'm okay with that.

Miss Doronjo February 19th, 2011 6:42 PM

I love to wear bandannas, but...you know; they are not allowed at school. For well...obvious reasons. XD; [They'd think I might be involved in a gang or something.] But ultimately, sunglasses usually fixes accessory for me...I'm surprised they allowed myself to wear it at my old high school. @[email protected];

GirlieNinjaRose February 19th, 2011 11:08 PM

This happened to me today, well usually when we're going out. My mom always tell me what to wear. >.> ..Which annoys me.

Elite Overlord LeSabre™ February 20th, 2011 6:27 AM

Well, obviously I can't wear many outfits that I would deem cute because of my gender (except at Halloween and anime conventions).

Other than that, it's the whole "I need to look somewhat presentable when I go out" deal, which means my old comfy T-shirts and shorts are out. Usually I just have to deal with it, but sometimes I complain just to agitate my parents :P

groteske February 21st, 2011 6:36 AM

For years, my mother gave me grief about wearing metal t-shirts with Satanic elements. She only gave up about two years ago. Now that I'm home for a few months she's not too thrilled with my plethora of fishnets either. Ah well, her time's come and passed.

Fire Heart February 21st, 2011 11:26 AM

Yes, my mam complains when she thinks my skirt is too short or when my top is too tight, she is so hard to get along with.

Bluerang1 February 21st, 2011 11:33 AM

I experiment. But usually what I wear is colour co-ordinated. I wouldn't be caught dead in skinny jeans though -_-'

DarkVhozon February 21st, 2011 11:50 AM

My mom doesnt like shirts with skulls on em' so I cant where them other than that no.

HinaBaby February 25th, 2011 4:14 AM

One of my bestfriends came in our house, I forgot to tell her that I can't come to the practice for our class presentation and she saw what I was gonna wear, she said that I look ugly in those clothes so she told me to wear this and that. I was pissed off but I was glad that she told me that It was really ugly or some would've laughed at me.

Captain Hobo. February 25th, 2011 4:26 PM

I wear shorts and a T-shirt or sweat pants and a T-shirt every day.

My mom hates it, but I still wear them.

Esper February 26th, 2011 12:46 PM

As you would expect from someone in my position, my parents were dead set against my wearing a lot of things. Even rings and necklaces were off limits in their book. I even fought with them over my hair... which isn't clothing, but it's the same idea. Ugh. I hated them for that.

тнз_ᴜᴨᵳoᴙgıvӡи February 27th, 2011 12:14 AM

before when i lived with my mom, she would let me wear what i wanted except for clothes that had the color red (because of all the gang thing in Cali.) but i still wore red anyway.:bandit:

Pokemon Trainer Touko February 27th, 2011 12:46 AM

My mum doesn't really care about what I wear, because I rarely see her~ Which is a good thing, because when I was younger, she always told me what to wear/not to wear~ Which really annoys me~~

~Darkness~ February 27th, 2011 1:10 AM

Nope, cant say I have, I wear all nice clothes. Nothing my school or parents would disapprove of.

Dumbo Decus February 27th, 2011 7:00 AM

Nope. Not a once. My mom doesn't really care what I wear. As for my sister... she has to sneak out in sweats and a sweater, and take those off when she leaves, otherwise, she won't get to wear what she wants.

shemellon February 27th, 2011 7:19 AM

my mom doesnt usually stop me from wearing something unless im going somewhere casuall ,which she does stop me from wearing shorts . i wish i can wear my shorts everyday...

SquirtleGirl February 27th, 2011 10:38 AM

My mum hates these cheap Ugg imitation boots I have that kinda sag to one side but I still wear them because they're comfy :) She only really nags me if the weather's going to be bad and I'm wearing a skirt or not wearing a coat which is more common sense than personal taste :P

My school is so bad though since we got a new headmaster. He's trying to make pinafores [which are these skirt dress things we wear as part of the uniform] compulsory for girls and might even ban leather flat-shoes so we'll have to wear those clumpy square shoes -.- He might even make us wear blaers which are very uncommon in the Republic of Ireland but very common in Northern Ireland where he's from.

twocows February 27th, 2011 11:00 AM

I wear solid colored or striped shirts and blue jeans all year round. Never been told anything like that.

Melody February 27th, 2011 9:25 PM

I've never been expressly forbidden from wearing something, but there's a whole list of things I won't let myself wear no matter how badly I want to...for very logical and fair reasons. XD

Lol, this. :(

I guess for a while my mom complained I didn't wear enough bright colours because I was more into grunge colours but she wouldn't... not let me wear the clothes. She'd just start buying me the colours she wanted me to wear for Christmas and stuff. Since I'd never buy my own clothes (I'd rather have wasted my allowance on video games xD), I'd just end up wearing whatever she bought. :P

I was just about to post that. ;o;

Except I wear shorts every day regardless of how cold it is or what my parents say. They're comfy and easy to wear!

Purple Materia March 4th, 2011 8:03 AM

My mom doesn't mind, which is actually really rad. All I wear are skinny jeans and band shirts, but she does point out when a shirt is a little gross or something.

You, sir, have just won 100 awesome points. :cer_nod: That's a good example for gamers to follow...videogaming is an honorable and respectable pastime and all, and so it warrants that the clothes shall fit the occasion (well, when purchasing games).

Anyway, I'm usually supposed to button up more in the winter...I just prefer wearing a jacket, shirt, pants, etc. Any sweaters or additional bundling-up would make me feel a bit bulky. >_>
