Beep (?) Ring (?) Chirp (?) Guitar solo (?)
It's a beautiful morningYou're still busy sleeping after a night full of homework and Starbucks coffee. Suddenly, ______ wakes you up from your nirvana of a dream. The question is: What wakes you up from your sleep? My morning tends to vary. Most of the time, my iPod blasts out "Just a Dream" (cover) by Sam Tsui & Christina Grimmie. I like this way of waking up. What I dislike are those mornings when I overslept, and my mother had to wake me up with constant nagging. Ugh. |
What wakes you up from your sleep?
I typically wake up to silence, due to waking up on my own early on when everyone is still quiet, then I stay in bed for a while. Then, when I actually get up, what I usually am hearing is the sounds of my brother making his breakfast, or the sound of my mom and my brother chatting. :) |
Any movement, or noise coming from within my room will wake me up.
If I make it through the night though, I wake up on time, with no alarm needed. |
I wake up to this tune every weekday at 5:58 A.M.
Weekends and days off are whenever. |
I tend to wake up myself several times throughout the night, and on days where I don't have to go anywhere. However, on weekdays when I have to go to College my brother wakes me up, and I eventually get out of bed when I hear him outside feeding the Rooster.
|
On weekdays when I have to get up for work or school, I usually wake up at around 6 AM to my three alarm clocks going off in order (yes, I might be that heavy of a sleeper), the closest going off first and the furthest going off last, with an additional 7 alarms set on my phone over the next hour in case I fall back asleep before getting out of bed. If I do get out of bed, though, I shut off whichever ones remain.
On weekends, I will sometimes sleep straight through any alarm I set. I usually wake up because I think "HOLY CRAP IT'S NOON MY DAY IS HALFWAY GONE ALREADY!" |
My internal clock wakes me up, since I tend to go to sleep and wake up at the same time almost everyday.
I leave my TV on all night, so I wake up to this terrible new Beyblade series. |
Just the daylight. Minus the starbucks the previous night. If it's warm enough to have the window open, I'll usually wake up to birds singing too, which is a much more welcoming sound than any alarm.

What wakes you up from your sleep?
The radio on weekdays (funx fm) or my dad on weekends. If my don't have anything special to so, and my dad won't wake me, I'll just stay in bed till ,like, 2pm (especially after a party XD) |
On weekdays, what wakes me up is my radio alarm clock. On weekends, it's my urge to go on the Internet.
|
My phone vibrating. I don't know if mine's a fluke or what but if placed on a hard surface in any room, it can be heard from outside the house through a screen door.
Sometimes idiotcat will bust into my room during the night and play loudly with the blindcords until I wake up. We have those elongated doorhandles and the damn thing figured out if it jumps right, it can open doors. I hate that cat. Quote:

Usually my phone is set to a sound that resembles a cat being tossed into a wood chipper but sometimes I use my radio and set it to a station I don't catch so loud static wakes me.
|
If I fell off my bed, I'd totally wake up. Other than that, there is completely no other way to wake me up except for repeatedly slapping me for 10 minutes. No sound can easily wake me up. Unless that sound is so loud that your ears would bleed.
|
My radio wakes me up. |
I usually set my DS's alarm clock to wake me up. For some reason, it didn't work today, so I ended waking up at 1:24 PM.
|
What wakes you up from your sleep? The pee in my bed wakes me up every morning. :( |
What wakes you up from your sleep?
My alarm. But for some reason I always wake up a few minutes before it rings so that I can switch it off. XP |

I have my ipod set to shuffle to wake me up. hasn't faile me yet! :D
|
Ringtones, the typical buzzing alarm clocks, all of these things never seem to wake me up in the morning. I'll sleep through the entire alarm and wake up saying I never heard it. I do, however, have the old fashioned bell alarm clock. Now that ringing - while constantly frightening and annoyingly loud - is probably the best alarm that I can actually hear and wake up to for the morning.
...and contrary to not being able to hear all the other loud alarm clocks, if someone says my name any time at all, even if just a slight whisper, I will wake up instantly. It's a weird thing, I don't even know. ): Quote:

My alarm clock, but sometimes, I wake up to the thought that 'I'm late for work!'
|
My mom because she gets up before me and when it's time for me to get up she wakes me up.
|
Almost always my internal clock. If I don't sleep well through the night, it's either my mom's constant nagging, or my alarm clock.
|
I tend to just wake up. Woke up to myself hitting my floor as i fell out of bed thismorrning. -.-
|
I have not used any form of an alarm in many years and it will probably be quite some time before I end up using them again. There was no reason for me to wake up early enough or on time for anything to need an alarm for the longest time, so it was easy enough to get by during that stretch of time. These days I always tend to wake up around 7 AM on my own, unless I've had a particularly late night, though even then I sometimes manage to find myself awake at the usual time. Yay for internal clocks.
