That final battle with Ghetsis

That final battle with Ghetsis.

I found all his pokemon easy to take out. Other than that overpowered Hydreigon. It's crazy speed and special attack made my pokemon a piece of cake to take out. My strategy was to use my Unfezzant attack with fly,(because it took out a third of Hydreigon's hp) then switch out for another pokemon and heal Unfezzant. Howeve this took awhile due to the Full Restore spamming.

Anyways, did anyone else have trouble taking the hydreigon down?

Skapocalypse March 12th, 2011 5:01 PM

His Hydreigon was a piece of cake for me.

Elektross on the other hand decided it would be fun to one shot almost all of my team.

Spanner226 March 12th, 2011 5:26 PM

It was not difficult at the slightest.

I just used blizzard on my Samurott.

jle1076 March 12th, 2011 5:29 PM

Haxorus- DDance + DDance + Dragon Claw= Sweep

JP March 12th, 2011 5:42 PM

My ice cream Pokemon had no problems taking down that Dragon. :D My entire team had at least one move that could easily counter each of his Pokemon, he wasn't much of a problem.

Shattered_Soul March 12th, 2011 5:47 PM

He always one shot my Zekrom, which was the only of my pokemon that had an advantage against him
I wish I had a pokemon that could learn an ice type move, but I didn't. -.-

Notworking15 March 12th, 2011 5:52 PM

i think Reshiram/Zekrom could take it out in a few turns(assuming it doesn't beat it to the punch), a faster pokemon or an ice type helps too

Gary_MotherTucking_Oak March 12th, 2011 6:17 PM

I used about 3-5 revives on the Hydgreion alone. Sadly, I had no Steel/Dragon/Ice type to tank his attacks. My Samurott survives one attack, I rage Revive.

Blizzard is a great option to fight against him. Non-Ice type Poke's can learn it too.

Neizue March 12th, 2011 8:21 PM

Nothing too it but to do it.

If you ask me, "overpowered" is an understatement. I beat him though... After rage quitting a few times :D

Vrai March 12th, 2011 9:04 PM

Eelektross took ages to kill, and I have no idea why. It was probably because my strongest moves/Pokemon happened to be most proficient at Ground-type moves (aka level 52 Excadrill yeah!). Aside from that, though, I really didn't have any kind of troubles with him. :(

DeathOfBlades March 12th, 2011 9:11 PM

Other way around. I had Krookorok and just used Crunch and Foul play and sweeped his whole time. But you do need a couple of revives/max revives/full restores and a roggenrola

インフェルノの津波 March 12th, 2011 9:20 PM

Oh my God, that Hydreigon made me get a Modest Deino and train it to become a Hydreigon. AT LEVEL 64.

solarowl March 12th, 2011 10:03 PM

Haxorus=WIN! My pokemon were way overleveleed when I battled him so he was easy, but still, Haxorus ftw.

BonzaiMudkip March 12th, 2011 10:12 PM

i had no pokemon with me that had a move that can take out hydreigon so it took me a while, even with zekrom. I didn't bother getting the blizzard TM cause i thought it cost too much.
It finally went down when i had scrafty use hi jump kick on it. i didnt know it was a dark type so i didnt know that fighting moves were super effective.

Unfortunately for me, important trainers have the habbit of sending their best out first when they're down to 2 in my game, so that wasn't his last pokemon for me.

Dominus Temporis March 13th, 2011 7:56 AM

I'm looking forward to fighting him in the English-version games since I'll be using Tepig in my first playthrough. It'll be a nice ending to the main story to have my starter take down the big bad's most powerful Pokemon.

When I played the Japanese versions I didn't actually have much trouble with Hydreigon, especially in White when I used Throh. Superpower may have been cheesing it a little but it was still a cool moment. It's that Eelektross of his that can cause real problems, what with it having no weaknesses and a decent moveset and all.

Palkia March 13th, 2011 7:59 AM

It took me a very long time to beat him with my VERY underpowered team, but I got there eventually. Hydreigon was a pain to say the least.

pokewalker March 13th, 2011 7:59 AM

I used Hi Jump Kick with my Scrafty. Bye bye Hydreigon! :D

Mew~ March 13th, 2011 8:06 AM

I took out a few of his pokémon with one hits, the only Pokémon I really had trouble with was his stupid Hydreigon, it took out the whole of my team. I decided to teach my Electross "Dragon tail" and I beat him it the second time in two hits. I didn't actually use any revives or potions during N and Ghetsis so i'm pretty damn proud of myself. :P

Other than that he was very easy.

Subsuck March 13th, 2011 8:18 AM

I was insanely lucky when fighting his Hydregion. I was using a Cryogonal and i managed to dodge two Focus Blasts is a row and kill him with Ice Beam.

It happened again during my second playtrough. I'm a lucky guy :P

MXRider March 13th, 2011 8:58 AM

I lost to him and stupidly saved the game after.

What do I do now? it says i cant enter the league right now.

:(

TheGoddessOfDiscord March 13th, 2011 9:01 AM

All except Hydreigon were super easy. Well, Bouffalant was a bit difficult but because Emboar had Rocky Helmet at the time and because of recoil it was taken out very quickly.
Hydreigon was hard. But thanks to my male Haxorus and his Rivalry and Choice Scarf (he has Quiet nature) I OHKOed him.

:(

There is suppose to be a Team Plasma member inside the pokemon center next to the league. He can teleport you into the building when you talk to him.

Lickitricky March 13th, 2011 11:39 AM

I died three times consecutively when trying to beat Ghetsis. My solution?

I used Reshiram against the coffin thing at the beginning of the battle, spammed X Specials and X Speeds while the thing kept poisoning me, and then sweeped his entire team with Fusion Flare and Dragonbreath.

By far the least dramatic champion battle I had ever done.

Sabrewulf238 March 13th, 2011 4:06 PM

I found Ghetis to be pretty difficult, which was a shock since I hadn't had much trouble at all prior to that battle.

I managed to get lucky with Hydreigon but it was his Eelektross that knocked out a few of my pokemon and started making things look a bit dodgy.

Novia March 13th, 2011 4:12 PM

Ghetsis was really hard for me too, I had to use max revives a few times while trying to beat his Hydreigon. Though, his Pokemon were also about 10 levels higher than most of mine

Nugg March 13th, 2011 4:21 PM

My Samurott had Blizzard and I had two Pokemon with Brick Break so it was okay. but his eel thingy was a killer :O

Iceshadow3317 March 13th, 2011 7:14 PM

It took me 3 times to beat him. His Hydreigon was also the only pokemon I had trouble with aswell. I it took out with Zekrom by luck.

Weavile05 March 13th, 2011 7:51 PM

I haven't even gotten to this fight yet. I'm dreading it though. Although a lot of people were saying they used Scrafty's High Jump Kick, and I have that, so I might be Ok.

SnowpointQuincy March 13th, 2011 9:01 PM

I swich into Sawsbuck and Hydragon uses Fire Blast -- resonable, it is a Dragon.

I switch into Darmanitan and Hydragon uses Surf. WTF!!! Took me completely by suprise.

Lucky my Musharna was able to take three hits before needing a heal.

That one pokemon took 6 of my Max Revives.

TCB March 14th, 2011 5:33 AM

Some of his pokemon was difficult, but thanks to one Ice Beam from Vanilluxe his Hydregion was done. His Cofagrigus was a killer though, I had my Scrafty take care of him.

.Wolfie-kun. March 14th, 2011 12:12 PM

I managed to beat him first try, but I suppose the surprise of actually fighting him there and then didn't help my concentration xP

Skymin March 14th, 2011 4:32 PM

T'was easy. I had a Beartic. Level 55 + Icicle something = instant KO. I managed to beat him without even getting one of my pokes below orange health.

kirbyking1234 March 14th, 2011 4:41 PM

Ghetsis? You mean that sage guy I smited? Wasn't hard at all for me. Samurott @ Level 64 = win.

j2y8n2x March 14th, 2011 5:26 PM

Ghetsis wasn't the difficult one for me
The ghost Elite4 was hell to me

Same here, N was pretty easy but Ghetsis with his Hydreigon was a beast.

G-Virus March 14th, 2011 7:30 PM

His Hydreigon was annoying. I tried using my own to take it out, and I so nearl had him but surprise surprise, "Ghestis used on full restore!".

I think I took it out with Zekrom, but I don't remember.

LadyDae March 14th, 2011 7:35 PM

N wasn't too difficult. But Ghetsis had my heart pumping. I usually don't believe in using legendaries on my team but I did those too battles. My strategy was use my Haxorus, dragon dance, switch out, switch back in Haxorus, dragon dance and sweep... That worked for three of his pokemon and then he sent out that darn beast of a dark/dragon pokemon... Then it was pure luck that it never got int the red so he didn't use full restores.

Rich Boy Rob March 15th, 2011 8:51 AM

I had way more trouble against N actually, but I digress. His Hydreigon was my main problem as you say. I eventually managed to defeat it using a combination a powerful hit from my Reuniclus' Ice-Type Hidden Power (a bloody god-send) and my Archeops superior speed.
Other than that my freshly evolved Scrafty (I didn't let him evolve till just as I entered the League at Lv 50) managed to take down the rest of his team with relative ease, although he did manage to take himself out once by missing Hydeigon with Hi Jump Kick XD

Shiro March 15th, 2011 12:06 PM

Just beat Ghetsis around an hour ago, and I had so much trouble with his Hydreigon that I was worried I was using an under leveled team/just being generally pathetic at Pokemon lol. I tried to use Zekrom on it, but the Hydreigon's ridiculously high speed was all "LOL NO DRAGON BREATH FOR YOUUUU" and KO'd Zekrom within one hit with Dragon Pulse. :/

Everything else but that Hydreigon was cake. Except before that battle, Marshal was a pain for me, even when I was using Reuniclus. Darn U-Turn.

Phazon March 15th, 2011 2:02 PM

I got lucky against Cofagrigus, because I led with Ferrathorn and at the time I didn't realise that his Cofagrigus couldn't do crap to a steel-type. Cursed up and took out Cofagrigus and Seismitoad. I wasn't sure if Hydreigon had a fire attack so I kept Ferrathorn in because I didn't wanna lose my stat boosts, but Fire Blast OHKOd it. I think Emboar took out everything else with Brick Break, except Eelektross, which Musharna put to sleep and Psychic'd to death. All in all, not very hard.

Derezzed March 15th, 2011 2:18 PM

His Hydreigon vs my level 67 Hydreigon? Easy :P

Honest March 15th, 2011 3:56 PM

Uneventful for me. I think I might have used a Revive or two, and for sure a few Full Restores, but other then that... eh. The only thing about his Hydreigon is that it's SUPER cool, and had I not broken my DS three hours ago, I probably would have gone to train one. >>

smurf March 15th, 2011 4:04 PM

Anybody got any advice beatin his hydrodragon or w.e it is

Kamitsure-chan March 15th, 2011 5:04 PM

Ghetsis was easy for me... until that bloody Hydreigon.

It KO'd pretty much every Pokemon on my team, and I kept having to use max revive on Reshiram since it was the only one that had the most of a chance in fighting it. I just barely won o-o;;;

lamby101 March 15th, 2011 5:08 PM

He was a bit of trouble, I just completely lucked out with my Beartic.

I was lucky enough that both the fire blast and stone edges missed and I got two blizzards in (he was only level 46 lol)

But yeah like you said, Hydreigen was the only real threat, Eelektross was just annoying.

Tony15 March 15th, 2011 5:08 PM

I swept the E4 - N - Ghetsis with Gigalith Lvl 52-55. (Lvled up through battling)

Dawn March 15th, 2011 7:10 PM

My Elektross annihilated him, as usual. Problem with Hydreigon is that it's got pretty meh moves. Cynthia was the only person in the entire game that could even take out my Haxorus, and that's only because she had a Garchomp and I was underleveled.

~Ryukaa March 15th, 2011 11:31 PM

First two times I tried to beat him, it felt like hell.
That was probably because I was tired and sleepy. I don't know.
But when I tried to battle him the next day, he was pretty easy. I only had one death. xD;

Opposite Day March 16th, 2011 12:39 AM

First time (on JP) it was a pretty epic showdown, my Krookodile vs his Cofagrius, me trying to get a Moxie sweep going, he just protect + toxistalled. Solution? Bring in Sawsbuck for aromatherapy, as Moxie got nullified by Mummy regardless. Tried to set up a sweep with Samurott after Krook died, but noo, Megahorn didn't ohko his Hydreigon, etc. Eventually all that's left after a long fight is his Eelektross and my Carracosta at 70%. He Wild Charges, and leaves me with FOUR hp standing. Waterfall doesn't ohko, but it puts him in Aqua Jet range. Never felt more attached to my turtle than then, especially considering how that was like my third try after losing to him lol.

On Eng White, however, it was a completely different tale. I brought out Dragon Dance Scrafty as my lead, DDs three times + full heal, and proceeded to sweep his entire team. :x

Switching out makes you lose the boosts so it probably wasn't very good that you switched out and then back in. :(

singuanng March 16th, 2011 12:59 AM

That Hydreigon was a beast. Made me get a lv48 Haxorus.
Spammed Dragon Dance and wrecked his whole team. Yes, including Hydreigon. And yes, I only used Haxorus :D

Sammuthegreat March 16th, 2011 3:22 AM

I found Ghetsis incredibly easy in the end. It helped that I sent out Donna, my Moxie Krookodile, pretty early on, so after a couple of Moxie-Attack-boosts Hydreigon wasn't too much trouble; Dragon Claw took it out in one hit after it missed with Focus Blast.

øbliteration March 16th, 2011 1:48 PM

I blacked out once but the next battle I was fine.

WildEagle March 16th, 2011 2:08 PM

My level 64 Hydreigon laughs at his level 54 Hydreigon.

institutions March 16th, 2011 2:14 PM

Spoilerific title, lol.
Then again, I guess if you don't want things spoiled, you shouldn't go to a Pokemon forum until you beat it.

Ghetsis took three tries for me. His Hydregion just happened to have a super effective move for everyone on my team. I eventually got lucky and on my third try he left my Haxorus with 4HP and I OHKO'd him with Dragon Claw. All of his other pokemon were chumps.

Toa77 March 16th, 2011 5:21 PM

Bah...I hated his Hydreigon. It kept wiping out my Pokemon with Dragon Pulse, even though I spent all that training on them...

I was just lucky I had more Revives than the Hydreigon's Dragon Pulse PP.

Dark Piplup March 16th, 2011 7:49 PM

Hydreigon was not too hard. But, I'll admit that it was his hardest.

even bisharp? i will try that tomorrow.

bwburke94 March 17th, 2011 8:29 AM

Reshiram can 2HKO Hydreigon with DragonBreath. Other than that, you're screwed if you don't have a Fighting-type for N and Ghetsis.

Daikenki March 17th, 2011 8:37 AM

I was about to punch a baby when he forced me to battle him RIGHT AFTER N. I actually was freaking out because I wasn't able to heal my pokemon, and I only had Zekrom and Samurott standing, but I guess N must have healed me before the battle. (hardly read his dialogue since I was ambushed).

The hydreigon made me sad. :T I went through 10 revives, then he finally stopped spamming dragon pulse whatever because he had no more pp for it, and then I was finally able to take him out with Zekrom. Everything else was taken care of normally by the others. And I did both their fights in one go around.

I am one lucky noob.

marcc5m March 17th, 2011 9:02 AM

Hydreigon killed all of my Pokemon. Thank God for revives and Hyper Potions, otherwise I would've lost. Also I think my Garbodor managed to poison it too. The rest of his team was laughable though :\

NA3LKER March 17th, 2011 11:52 AM

i havent beat him yet. my pokemon are level 51-52, but that triple headed dragon is destroying me every time. and i have a feeling that even if i beat the dragon, my team will be so decimated that i would get beaten

RYOUKI March 17th, 2011 12:02 PM

His Hydreigon was horrible! It took out 5 of my Pokemon! Actually, make that all of my Pokemon and I just kept reviving them. My Serperior was a life-saver. Even though Grass-types don't do well against Dragon, and Hydreigon has Flamethrower, my Serperior beat the crap outta him. His Hydreigon was second to the last of his Pokemon, and his last one was Archeops, and since I have one on my team, defeating Ghetsis was a piece of cake.

Barn March 17th, 2011 5:12 PM

Took me forever! But my Pokémon were underleveled, so I see why, I guess. :c

littlekid137 March 18th, 2011 10:41 AM

He was terrible.. I battled his Hyregion at least four times/

Eurydice March 18th, 2011 12:37 PM

i just battled him and i lost. his hydreigon kicked my butt

Espeon96 March 18th, 2011 2:12 PM

It wasn't difficult for me, Hydreigon was easily taken down by Sawsbuck's Jump Kick after living a Flamethrower

Air Pichu March 18th, 2011 2:48 PM

I was down to my Samurott when he sent this thing out. He used Dragon Pulse on me, and I only had abut 20 HP left. I use Surf, and that does about a 1/5 damage. He uses Focus Blast, and misses. I use Surf, and that does another 1/5. He keeps usng Focus Blast until I took it down with Surf. Ghetsis must be stupid to let me do that, haha!

G0D M0DE March 18th, 2011 2:54 PM

Hahah, yes. That was the only one of his I had difficulty taking down.
Luckily my Haxorus managed to take it.

pokehearts March 18th, 2011 2:56 PM

Hydregion was to easy with my meinshao, but we lost anyway because we missed jump kick on bisharp and died

Happy Fun Cat March 18th, 2011 3:06 PM

His fight was painfully easy on my Black and I was underleveled, when I was on my White and went up against him, I was 50ish and he was oneshotting every one of my pokemon ._. I had a powerhouse team but the worse special def and speed you have ever seen so Dragon Pulse went through my team like it was nothing. Lucky, he hit my Cofagrigus and Mummy was placed on him. Then I got to thinking of a funny way to beat him, so I revived Excadrill and used Earthquake :3

Rionix March 18th, 2011 4:53 PM

Hydreigon is quite easy because I have an electric-type pokemon in my team... Rather, the hardest for me (and until now I can't beat Ghetsis because of this bastard) is the blue toad that makes rain to UP his speed and use muddy water. All the pokemon in my team has a weakness against water and ground... So I am training a new grass-type pokemon just to beat the s*** out of this guy...

Ho-Oh March 21st, 2011 6:32 AM

Eaasy, well, the hardest was Cofagrigus because it was against Zekrom I had to capture and... yeah. Zekrom was really useless. XD; But as soon as I swapped to my main two, then I easily beat the rest - mostly using fighting type moves.

lol You should know, Hydreigon is part Dragon, meaning it's resistant to Electric type moves. They only do half the damage.

Dooney March 21st, 2011 11:18 AM

My only gripe with this battle was the music was no where near as dramatic enough, Didn't match the climax of the story.

SinisterOne March 21st, 2011 12:28 PM

The final battle was fairly easy imo. The Hydreigon was kinda tough to take down actually cuz it was constantly spamming surf on me an it was doing quite a bit of damage to all my pokemon. Also those full restores that Ghetis had weren't making things any easier

JacOat12 March 21st, 2011 1:22 PM

I can't remember what pokemon he sent in(Zekrom killed his Cofifgrus), but it allowed me to get two DDs off with Haxorus and completely sweep him. Personally, N was harder...

TheBigMan0706 March 23rd, 2011 4:08 PM

Finally beat Ghetsis!

Ghetsis was annoyingly hard to fight, and honestly one of the hardest bosses in the pokemon games (his Hydregion was the main problem >_<).

So, this morning (after multiple failed attempts beating him) I was surprised the Ghetsis didn't teach his Hydregion dark type moves since it took more than one hit for him to beat my reuniclus and having Unfezant finish the dragon off. When i got to his Eelektross, i thought i was screwed since Eelektross has Levitate. Then, the strangest thing happened... My Excadrill, Monty, took down that slimey eel with a X - Siccor. Talk about a close call

Misheard Whisper March 24th, 2011 1:49 AM

For the Hydreigon, I just sent out Throh and Revenged it in the face. Not too hard, although it took me a couple of tries to make it to that conclusion. XD

Yeah, it was hard, but Alder was harder.

Arma March 24th, 2011 4:45 AM

Braviary with Super Power took out his Hydreigon with ease, but my biggest concern was that annoying Sigilyph.
It forced me to use a few revives.

Captain Fabio March 24th, 2011 6:31 AM

If I am honest, I didn't really have a problem taking him out; of course, his Hydreigon was the toughest, but other than that, I didn't have a problem.

Most likely because most of my Pokemon were high 60's or low 70's, so I could get the speed edge on them.

chimcharsfireworks March 26th, 2011 6:17 AM

YES. I hated that thing. I tried everything, from like 60 dragon claws to surfs and brick breaks and it just kept killing me! I had to use Reshiram!

Kenshin5 March 26th, 2011 7:36 AM

I intially had trouble with Hydreigon, then I realized my Braviary was pretty beastly and took it out with two Crush Claws.

Amore March 26th, 2011 8:26 AM

The only reason I struggled was because I had Reshiram out in front (yes, I deliberately only had five pokémon pre-E4 in order to have an epic battle with Reshiram and N's Zekrom blasting the crap out of eachother with their signature moves). This led me to losing all but Reshiram, when I instantly switched him out. However, with a bit of Ice Beam and luck, I got there in the end.

Omnomosauras March 26th, 2011 9:54 AM

Sure did. Definitely the hardest battle i have ever done

yaya0 March 26th, 2011 10:39 AM

Leech Seed stall with Serperior. :):):)

royalty118 March 26th, 2011 11:02 AM

It was kind of hard because I was mentally drained from versing N. I found it cool how all my pokemon randomly healed.

The Nightmare March 26th, 2011 11:40 PM

Hydreigon was annoying to fight it nearly kill all my Teamates with dragon pulse but I defeated it with my Scolipede because dark hates bug.

SquirtleGirl March 27th, 2011 3:19 AM

I got extremely lucky against his Hydreigon to be honest xD My initial strategy was to send out my Druddigon and hope I got lucky with Dragon Claw while holding a Quick Claw. Needless to say, this FAILED [I am so bad at strategies xD] So I send out Serperior and for some reason that I still cannot fathom I use Leech Seed against it in a desperate attempt to sap its HP a little. He knocks out Serperior in a few moves and I send out Krookodile.

Krookodile uses Brick Break and Hydreigon survives by about 1 HP. Now I'm thinking "Oh great, Ghetsis is gonna heal Hydreigon now and all my work will be for nothing" and then...LEECH SEED saps him down into a knockout! :D

One of the proudest accidental wins of my Pokémon career xD

His Bouffalont went up against my Krookodile.. I used Brick-Break and it got about 2/3 of its health down xD then it used Head Charge and Rocky Helmet + Recoil Damage = Death to Bouffalant xD

The battle with Ghetsis was much easier than what I expected. Only Pokémon I had trouble with was Hydreigon.

dieter57 March 27th, 2011 5:35 AM

Ghetsiswas impossible for me.
then i gave up, went to victory road, got a Deino, trained it up to 64, then i used MY Hydregion!
what now ghetsis?!

If you have a Scrafty or Mienshao like I did the first time I beat him then Hydregion isn't a problem(I had Moxie Scrafty on my team). The thing that gave me the most trouble was Eelektross.

That Hydreigon was a pain. But all in all, I saved Unova on my first try.

Ghetsis' Hydreigon

Is it just me or is his Hydreigon extremely overpowered?
I flew through all his previous Pokemon, with only one of them even getting damage, but then he released this god of a beast which one hit every one of my Pokemon O_O

Oh and by the way, my Pokemon have attacks which are super-effective against him, but with his fast speed and high hitting attacks he just destroyed me :/

Has anybody else had difficulty, or even have any advice?

TheGoddessOfDiscord April 22nd, 2011 10:53 AM

I had a Choice Scarfed Haxorus. Quite easy win.

Gothitelle. April 22nd, 2011 10:55 AM

I beat it with Gothitelle. My Gothie know's Brick Break so I pawnd that Hydreigon easily.

Hydreigon plays on everyone's weaknesses. It can take out Fire with water and kill ice with fire and focus Blast.

I suggest a Psychic or ghost Pokemon since it has no dark moves. Or a Bug type.

Merged with the thread that covers his Hydreigon - which surprisingly wasn't a challenge for me. :(

I just typed in a 15 minute paragraph with about 10 counters to Hydreigon, and it just got deleted since the thread merging while I was typing >.>

I will edit this later with the appropreite counters to Hydreigon since I just lost my patience.

EDIT: Despite Hydreigon's perfect Coverage, it can be easily worked around with the proper Pokemon, let's name a few!

Spoiler:
Reuniclus: This Pokemon can take at least one move from Hydreigon and kill it with Focus Blast, it can also Thunder Wave it or Light Screen if you disapprove of Focus Blast's accuracy.

Jellicent/Eviolite Frillish: With Cursed Body, this Pokemon can Recover/Potion stall the Hydreigon until the Curse Body "disables" Dragon Pulse, which is the only move that hit's your squishy wall neutrally, since Fire Blast and Surf are resisted and Focus Blast doesn't effect it. Then you can Toxic Stall it.

Beartic: This Pokemon can take one Fire Blast, or take the risk of avoiding a Fire Blast and hit it with a STAB Ice Move.

Meinshao: As a Meinshao, this thing can outspeed and Hi Jump Kick.

Scrafty: Scrafty is rather Bulky, so it can take a Dragon Pulse then kill it with High Jump Kick.

Conkledurr: Same as Scrafty, though with Hammer Arm

Accelgor: Can pick off Hydreigon with Focus Blast at Yellow HP.

Coffigrigus: Can survive a Dragon Pulse then it can Toxic

Whimsicott: It can "Prankster" Stun Spore or Toxic on to Hydreigon

Cobalion: Works well with the Jellicent strategy, though instead of stalling Dragon Pulse, use Cobalion as bait for a Fire Blast to disable it, if it doesn't work, switch to Cobalion to resist the Dragon Pulse and repeat. If it does work, switch to Cobalion and set up a Work Up / Swords Dance and blast it with a Sacred Sword.
