I thought you can transfer stuff over, with the Entralink? idk.

Kenshin5 March 21st, 2011 5:53 PM

Nope, Items cannot be attached, and pokemon cannot have HM's present in their movesets either.

Gilgαmesh March 21st, 2011 5:53 PM

I don't have two DSes. I'm having someone else transfer stuff over(like, they're helping me out with stuff), and I just found out that SS can't really trade back and fourth with Black version, being from past generation and all. .__.; So I really don't know what to do now.

Kenshin5 March 21st, 2011 6:03 PM

I thought Entralink was designed for catching Dream World Pokemon? Maybe your thinking of Pokeshifter?

Zeffy March 21st, 2011 6:06 PM

Are we talking about B/W teams now? Well, I'd like to share mine: Servine, Yamask, Burdurr, Zebstrika, and an HM Slave Panpour. I plan the last spot to be taken by either Rufflet or Archen. I'm currently at Nimbasa, training my Zebstrika and Burdurr.

Mr Cat Dog March 21st, 2011 6:08 PM

I'll get back to the topic at hand in a second: just need to deal with this issue:

Manchester is barely northern and Bristol certainly isn't. I'm talking proper-north, like properly near-Scotland north, where everything is deep fried anyway! Probably affects the chips through osmosis or something!

Anywhoo, back to the topic at hand: good luck on your Elite Four Challenge Live_Wire466. I'm currently going through Victory Road trying to level up my team to face them myself - with the help of the wondrous Lucky Egg of course... dunno how I managed to do so without it: it's a life-saver!

(In an unrelated note: when I logged on to the forums, I felt like I wanted to throw up half my body weight in vomit; ten minutes later I feel strangely OK: has PC been known to have healing properties like this?)

Kenshin5 March 21st, 2011 6:09 PM

I assume they are allowed to be traded over, post Elite 4/Final Battle with N & Ghetsis, thus unlocking National Dex.

インフェルノの津波 March 21st, 2011 6:16 PM

Oh my God I hate GTS Negotiations. I met a guy who had a shiny Rayquaza, and quite a few others.

What do they expect me to have, a Shiny Victini?!

Kenshin5 March 21st, 2011 6:18 PM

They are probably just showing off. Couldn't be any worse offers then normal GTS. And Victini can't be shiny anyways(as of this moment), so he would be expecting the impossible in that case.

Zeffy March 21st, 2011 6:19 PM

I don't like GTS. Meh, maybe its just me. I hope they remove impossible trades, though.

Saryka March 21st, 2011 6:19 PM

I haven't been on the GTS in Pokémon White yet, but I do remember going on when I played Diamond and some of the requests made me lol. I think I was looking for a Piplup or a Chimchar one time and people were asking for level 100 Dialgas and Palkias. Yeah, like I would give up a level 100 legendary for a level 1 Piplup or Chimchar. Okey-dokey.

Livewire March 21st, 2011 6:20 PM

The GTS is so corrupt it isn't even funny. :/ What a waste.

Saryka March 21st, 2011 6:21 PM

I always wonder if people seriously think they're actually gonna get what they ask for... XD;

Kenshin5 March 21st, 2011 6:31 PM

Aside from the ridiclous offers I get a chuckle at I still like exploiting GTS, like with the Trade Back Glitch. Then there is the ever funny Morphing Glitch. I would do the Cloning Glitch, but its not worth risking, especially when I have AR(which is much faster anyways). Some times you can actually find some bargains there(but at times wonder of the validity of those pokes).

インフェルノの津波 March 21st, 2011 6:33 PM

Oh wait, I should mention that there's a Shiny Golurk on GTS.

Guess what the offerer wants. Just guess.

Time's Up!

LV. 9 OR UNDER HYDREIGON

Kenshin5 March 21st, 2011 6:36 PM

Pfft I can't believe you don't have one, I should definitely hit that offer up while its still there!

It almost seems like they're just showing off their Shiny Golurk, since there's no way in hell anyone can offer a Level 9 or under Hydreigon without the use of cheats. :/

インフェルノの津波 March 21st, 2011 6:37 PM

You do know that Hydreigon evolves at Level 64, right?

Saryka March 21st, 2011 6:38 PM

^ Yes, that's why I said it's impossible to do it unless it's hacked. XD;

Kenshin5 March 21st, 2011 6:40 PM

Im being sarcastic... And you worded like Hydregion evolves. Funny thing is though Ghetsis has one at 54, kind of like how Lance had a level 50 Dragonite.

インフェルノの津波 March 21st, 2011 6:45 PM

Oh whoops, sorry I'm used to saying it that way.

Yeah, don't get me started on the people who want Lv. 9 or under Reshiram/Zekrom...

Anyway, I'm EV Training a Gible right now, the old fashioned way, with no EV inducing items such as Macho Brace, etc. It's a dare from one of my friends to train my first team this way.

So far, 36 Lillipup and Minezumi have lost.

Assuming training is taking place on Route 1 or 2, since that area is infested with them. Shoot that is going to take forever.

インフェルノの津波 March 21st, 2011 7:03 PM

Yeah...just those 36 took roughly 15-20 minutes, even with my Hydreigon taking them out in a minute or less.

In other news, I finished Gurren Lagann!

No your right I only used 5. After training those Pkmn to their respected levels it took too long to do another so I just went ahead and completed it without the last one. Call me a bit lazy. ^_^ Still even with just five Pkmn I defeated it quite easily.

Kenshin5 March 21st, 2011 7:08 PM

I could never really get into TTGL, even when it was on the Sci - Fi Line up with Gundam 00, Street Fighters, Macross, and Descendants of Darkness. I think they had the Rave Master going for awhile as well. I did though manga to finish watching FMA Brotherhood, was one of the best anime I have ever seen! Even better then the 03 original(that wasn't based off the manga that much)

インフェルノの津波 March 21st, 2011 7:17 PM

Yeah, I didn't realize until last week that FMA was the first serious anime I've ever seen other than Pokemon and Digimon.

Though it was the original series, which wasn't..as good per say Brotherhood.

Kenshin5 March 21st, 2011 7:27 PM

I never took any of the seasons of pokemon or digimon seriously, especially pokemon. At least in pokemon the other pokemon don't try and kill you like say Devimon, Myotismon, the Dark Masters, Apocalymon(Season 1 references only) yes BlackWarGreymon is beastly. I think the first serious anime that comes to mind for me is Gundam Wing, I remember watching and Heero pull a gun on Relina and tells her that he will kill her, I was like LMAOxD did he just pull a gun on her. Then the part were he blew up Wing Gundam I was like wtf is this I don't even.

Livewire March 21st, 2011 8:07 PM

^ Gundam and Digimon were a lottt better than Pokemon though. :/

インフェルノの津波 March 21st, 2011 8:13 PM

Pokemon anime only exists because...

You know what, I have no idea why it still exists today, Pokemon Special is the way Tajiri (Creator of our fetish obsession) wanted to show the world of Pokemon.

Kenshin5 March 21st, 2011 8:16 PM

Best Wishes is better then Xros Wars imo. Digimon was mah after Season 2, Season there was alright.

Saryka March 21st, 2011 8:22 PM

Digimon seasons 1 & 2 were amazing! I stopped watching after season two because it just got really weird for me. :/ I remember being really excited for season three and then being totally let down after watching the first episode. Maybe it was because there were a totally new cast of characters, or maybe it was just the overall story, but I stopped liking Digimon after the second season.

Zeffy March 21st, 2011 8:39 PM

I watched Digimon a few times. I haven't really gotten to finish any seasons of it though.

JeXsus™ March 21st, 2011 8:43 PM

I loved Digimon season 1-2.

I liked Season 3 because of the new cast.
I don't remember most of the story for it. I was actually considering watching the whole season again recently.

Livewire March 21st, 2011 8:46 PM

Digimon also had the best cartoon movie of all time, the one with Diaboromon. Freakin Classsic.

I was just thinking of this. I actually watched that I would say about a month ago.

インフェルノの津波 March 21st, 2011 8:53 PM

Oh my God that movie. I just saw it last year, for the fifth time.

Tamers was the best, though Frontier was pretty awesome too. It had elements I'd never see in a Digimon series.

THAT MOVIE SCARED ME SO MUCH!!!!!
Looking back on the (amazing) American dub, I realized how much they localized it....
Notice how they talk about Thanksgiving.
In Japan.

Misheard Whisper March 21st, 2011 9:00 PM

I never got into Digimon myself. Never even saw more than one episode - and that was just a year or so ago when a friend made me watch it online . . . for some reason. I have a vague feeling it had something to do with fanfiction . . . *twitch* I never actually watched Pokemon as a kid, either. My staples were Zoids and Beyblades. And in hindsight, that was pretty much all the TV I watched after the complusory Blue's Clues/Hi-5/etc phase - so even as a six-year-old, I was an anime fan without knowing it.

Really should've kept watching those . . .

Zeffy March 21st, 2011 9:08 PM

When I was a kid, I watched anime not knowing it was anime. That was very ironic and weird. xD

King Gumball March 21st, 2011 9:09 PM

Oh a new thread!

I remember watching Digimon after pokemon back when I was in Primary school, before school on Channel 10. Good Times. I like Mimi's Cactus dude, I cant remember any of the names anymore ;o;

Zeffy March 21st, 2011 9:11 PM

The only Digimon name I remember is Calumon...since I have seen it in Pachy's signature.

Ninja Caterpie March 21st, 2011 9:41 PM

Once upon a time, I went to China. There was SARS, so my mum was like "get some VCDs (lol) nao!" and I watched all seasons 1-3 of Digimon in the few weeks I was there. I found I disliked 3 compared to 1 and 2 for some reason, too.

インフェルノの津波 March 21st, 2011 9:43 PM

Why? Tamers was an awesome season to me, hell it was my first Digimon season.

The digivolutions were beautiful, however somethings make no kind of sense.

Rabbit + Human = Kung Fu Mecha Rabbit with Rockets?

AshPikastar March 21st, 2011 10:41 PM

Tamers was my favorite season out of all Digimon. I wish they continued it. The season had so many good moments and sad moments.

I can't believe I'm up this late. It's almost 3am but I can't sleep. I have to wake up at 6am anywise.

Logiedan March 21st, 2011 11:45 PM

The only season I remember of Digimon is the first season. It was in my childhood days.

Zeffy March 22nd, 2011 12:23 AM

OOoh, Tamers. I liked that season. I wake up everyday just to watch it. Too bad I didn't finish it.

Skip Class March 22nd, 2011 12:40 AM

ooo back to Digimon are we :3 First 4 seasons were my favorite and couldn't really choose which one was my fav. I guess 2nd would have been a big fav of mine since it has DemiVeemon in it :3.

Although I have to say DragonDubStudio did the most epic fandub of season 3 and it's been my favorite fandub ever since XD

Captain Fabio March 22nd, 2011 4:38 AM

Awwwww Digimon.
I use to love that when I was younger. First thing I use to do after school, was come home, turn on the TV and watch Digimon, Pokemon and Cardcaptor Sakura everyday! XD

alisaie March 22nd, 2011 4:43 AM

Ahhhh, Digimon. I've been in and out of that fandom a few times~ To be honest I really liked the fifth season, but that could just be me. :V

Zeffy March 22nd, 2011 4:46 AM

I like all the other seasons of Digimon, tbh. I just never gotten around to finishing any season.

Captain Fabio March 22nd, 2011 4:52 AM

I can't remember any of the different seasons really. I just remember parts, regardless of what that part was from! XD
I just remember it was good. :3

alisaie March 22nd, 2011 4:53 AM

I finished the first, second, and fifth season. I don't think I ever got around to watching the whole third season, and I wasn't fond of the fourth season. It was a really nice concept, but I don't think they executed it very well.

Captain Fabio March 22nd, 2011 5:07 AM

I think I may have to revisit these seasons then in my spare time... :3

Zeffy March 22nd, 2011 5:17 AM

Oooh, I'd surely like to rewatch them again. Same goes with Hetalia. Maaan, I haven't watched that for aaaaaaaaages.

Captain Fabio March 22nd, 2011 5:22 AM

I need to watch Cardcaptor Sakura again and catch up on Pokemon!

Mr Cat Dog March 22nd, 2011 5:31 AM

I always remember being very confused when watching Cardcaptors on ITV, but could never place why at the time. It was only until reading about it later that I realised that fair chunks of the series had been cut to make them suitable for broadcast on kids TV... should probably go back to it to see if there were any real differences, but I never remember feeling massively involved in the series to begin with, mainly due to the confusion on my end.

I don't think I remember being confused by it, but I do know that parts were cut. I hate that so much, just because something may be a little controversial, it doesn't mean that it is going to make us do bad things as a child, and screw us up for adulthood.

This. Due to that we missed some pokemons episodes too.

It's the same thing for Sailor Moon where they made Haruka and Michiru cousins. WTH.

Some of them, however, I can understand with the banned episodes. Like the epilepsy episode and the earthquake episode. They are controversial! XD

However, if you mean just random episodes that were blocked because there was a gun in it, then I think that is a little strange.

Flamboyant March 22nd, 2011 6:41 AM

Yes I was thinking about the gun one xD
I agree that, sometimes, it is best to censor things (like the earthquake episodes, for instance, cause that would've been reaaaally awkward xD), but in most cases... it is not really needed.

Captain Fabio March 22nd, 2011 6:48 AM

Mhmm.
It is a bit strange. I can see what they are trying to do and why they do it, but it doesn't really make that much different really, IMO.

Flamboyant March 22nd, 2011 6:54 AM

Yes, that's the point. I think they mean well, but in some cases, they push it too far.
Oh well, I didn't even notice that some episodes were eclipsed (was too young to), so I guess it's not that bad.

Captain Fabio March 22nd, 2011 6:56 AM

One episode that I couldn't understand why they banned, was the episode where James had boobs! XD

Flamboyant March 22nd, 2011 7:03 AM

HAHA I actually thought about that one earlier. I know right? I mean... it's funny, that's all XD

Mr Cat Dog March 22nd, 2011 7:22 AM

There's a significant difference between censorship and postponing of episodes, though. Censorship is a - presumably - permanent endeavour in part to issue a message that some part of an episode is so wrong that it either shouldn't be shown at all, or shouldn't be shown in its current state. Episode postponement is normally done for reasons of taste due to unexpected events outside the domain of the creators of the show.

Episode postponements offer no moral judgment on the quality of the work: showing the episode in question may just make certain viewers feel uncomfortable at that time. With censorship, there are definitive policy concerns at the heart of it for networks to take such a strong action.

Going back to the Cardcaptors stuff, I think I was confused not because of the censorship itself, but more because I can often remember flashbacks to features of episodes that either didn't happen due to UK censorship (involving a gay love affair or the like) or just my own crappy memory!

I've seen one or two episodes of Digimon but I can't say I've actually paid the series any mind. :/ Was one of those kids who would scoff Digimon because it seemed "too much like Pokemon" and would do that for years, but nowadays a lot of my friends like it a lot so I wonder whether or not it's worth giving it a try.

donavannj March 22nd, 2011 7:55 AM

I liked Digimon for a while, but the TCG had an awkward playing style and I never really watched the show after the first season or two or got the games. Pokemon just reigned supreme over it. I did watch the first movie, though, and found it kinda interesting yet weird.

Signomi March 22nd, 2011 8:01 AM

Er, hang about, there was a Digimon TCG as well? Man I'm always late to these card parties.

I guess it would take actually watching the series to know how to play the card game, though. I remember being uber confused when somebody bought me Yu-Gi-Oh! cards at a time when I never even watched the anime. I just thought they bought a deck just so I could look at the pictures. o_0;

Zeffy March 22nd, 2011 8:11 AM

I think I saw a few Digimon cards here and there, so I bet there was a Digimon TCG. But when it comes to TCG, nothing really tops YGO for me. Maybe Duel Master is a close second. Magic isn't really that popular here in our place.

Meganium March 22nd, 2011 8:17 AM

The first two seasons of Digimon were great when I was just a child. I remember buying a couple Digimon cards back then, but I misplaced them. >_> I wish I could at least see the first season again.

Saryka March 22nd, 2011 8:29 AM

I never really got into the TCG, I just liked the first two seasons and the movie a whole lot. XD My sister and I did have a small collection of fake/bootlegged Digimon cards, though. I have no idea where we found them but they're so obviously fake, it makes me laugh.

donavannj March 22nd, 2011 8:33 AM

With Digimon's TCG, watching the anime wouldn't have helped, as it wasn't card based. I actually did learn how to play back then but still found Pokemon more interesting, and Digimon's TCG just kinda flopped and disappeared around here, so it was harder to collect, especially with Yu-Gi-Oh! sweeping in barely even two years later.

With Yu-Gi-Oh!, I learned from the anime and then learned the actual rules from the rulebooks and the video games.

Signomi March 22nd, 2011 8:58 AM

The only TCG I was ever remotely interested in was Pokémon. It was such a fad back in Primary school and I can remember all the break and lunchtimes kids had where they'd huddle in groups and trade cards with each other. It was practically the sight of a card convention.

Don't learn from the Anime. The Anime is crazy and has rules that are broken. I swear they make it up as they go along!

I have been playing Yu-Gi-Oh since it first came out! It is crazy it has been out for over 10 years. O_o

Did you read the second part of my sentence? The extra complexity with how the legalities of certain cards is structured and imbalance in the price of A-list cards vs others is one of the things that made me disinterested in Yu-Gi-Oh! (and the lack of variety and difficulty in finding competitive events - an issue I have with Pokemon as well, though the flooding of key cards that Nintendo does negates this in Pokemon's TCG - vs. Magic). That and the people I had tried to play it with were sticklers for the ban rules even in casual games and wouldn't let me use Harpie's Feather Duster, Griffon Wing, Change of Heart or Seven Tools. Or all sorts of other fun cards I had/have.

I did! XD
I was just commenting on the Anime anyway! XD
Well, Griffon wing isn't banned, but it is pointless. But they are broken cards. You have to admit! XD

Saryka March 22nd, 2011 9:30 AM

I remember playing Yu-Gi-Oh! in the playground during recess with some of my friends. :'D My card collection wasn't too impressive - I bought the "Yugi's Deck" set and a couple of booster packs. I never won a single game, but it was still fun nevertheless.

Signomi March 22nd, 2011 9:35 AM

I don't think I've ever "duelled" with anybody before despite having a deck of cards handy. Neither have I had a battle with anybody else using our Pokemon cards.

Heck, even back as a kid I knew that if I wanted to play a card game, I'd sooner play poker than what everybody else was into.

alisaie March 22nd, 2011 9:38 AM

I just finished having a Pokemon Trading Card game match with a friend of mine. I don't have a deck and I wanted to learn how to play again, so he lent me his. It was really fun, and it wasn't because I won both matches due to beginners luck. |3;

YuGiOh I haven't played in years and I don't plan on it.

Nick March 22nd, 2011 9:40 AM

Ohhhh, I remember dueling all the time when I was at karate!

I was the second best duelist around that time, and had a deck mainly focused on harpies and warriors. My main card was Harpie Lady Sisters, and that also happened to be my most cherished. I remember pwning a lot of people with it. It was great! Ahhh, the reminiscing of memories.

Signomi March 22nd, 2011 9:42 AM

Are you secretly Mai Valentine in disguise?

It must have been fun duelling, I bet when you take a bit of time just to sort through your deck, you can create some nifty strategies you can use when you challenge somebody. Much like how people do that with competitive Pokemon battling in any game.

Sweet Candace March 22nd, 2011 9:48 AM

When I collected the TCG, I rarely had matches with anyone. Because every kid in my neighborhood is stumped when it comes to rules on how to play, and I didn't want to explain everything to them.

Jack O'Neill March 22nd, 2011 9:57 AM

I never really bothered with Yu-Gi-Oh! to begin with. Magic: the Gathering is my TCG of choice, but it wasn't until recently that I found people to play it with, and I'm way behind the times when it comes to the latest and greatest cards and play mechanics.

As for Digimon, well, it seems like I'm not the only one here who remembers that there was a TCG for that one. Hell, I found my old Digimon cards while I was digging around for my old Magic: the Gathering cards yesterday. I actually remember playing the Digimon TCG back in elementary school, but I'd have to agree with Donny over there that the play style was a bit awkward and that it never really caught on as well as Pokémon did.

Well, Griffon wing isn't banned, but it is pointless. But they are broken cards. You have to admit! XD

Yeah, but, it was a casual game that they were freaking out over those cards.

I was the second best duelist around that time, and had a deck mainly focused on harpies and warriors. My main card was Harpie Lady Sisters, and that also happened to be my most cherished. I remember pwning a lot of people with it. It was great! Ahhh, the reminiscing of memories.

I had that card. It didn't fit my play style, so I traded it for a couple other cards that fit my play style better, like Summon Skull.

With MTG, the cool thing is that you can probably find a place that does a format that suits your interest.

Pokemon had the advantage of being styled after Magic because Wizards of the Coast had a hand in the early R&D for the game.

YGO is by far the most broken card game I have ever played, there's just insane power creep with each set and flat out broken cards, say Pot of Greed, far far to much card advantage.

I myself prefer to play MtG. Which I feel is a more balanced TCG. Each to their own. I suppose. :D

I know exactly what you mean. It is crazy at times, but I can't not love it. It is the card game that I grew up on and I doubt I will forget it for a while! :3

I agree with you; since the only "good" decks nowadays are more of the fast-paced decks, and drawing abilities...I know when I used to have a Crystal Beast Deck, I had to rely on draw power...ALOT. o3o;

I used to have this huge box which contained a whole heck of my Pokemon, Digimon, YGO etc. I had about 500 cards for each type of cards. I was quite the collector more than the player to be honest.
Then one day my cousin asked if he could borrow my cards and well he never gave them back.....

CB's are used anymore. ;-;
It is, iirc:
Gravekeepers
Lightsworn
Six Samurai
Blackwing
Nordic Gods

That is all I can remember.

Anyone know/remember the in-game TCG in Digimon World 3? I loved it, probably especially because I'm not into PvP and never was.

Lightsworn and Six Sam are still around? Wow. Did DAD/Zombie's get hit by the banhammer hard then?

Six Sam got a lot of support and new cards in the last pack, or the pack before that, can't remember. Lightsworn are always good.

Zombies are played every now and then. I love them. My deck is Zombiesworn. And you see DAD's still; I just haven't seen any decks around him in a while.

Miss Doronjo March 22nd, 2011 11:24 AM

Yeah; I thought that things like Plaquespreader Zombie were limited so zombies were hit hard? =|

Well, I used the CB deck a couple of years ago when it was still good, so...

All the major TCGs require major draw power in their current formats. Building a truly competitive deck in Pokemon, Yu-Gi-Oh!, or Magic requires a fair bit of skill and a fair bit of money.

Pokemon's Tier 1, to the best of my knowledge, consists of:

LuxChomp
Machamp
LuxChamp
Mewtwo
Gyarados
Donphan
And probably a few I am forgetting.

And then Tier 2 decks also run amok, which is where most evolution decks fall, since they're so slow compared to decks that use SP Pokemon.

Correct.
They were hit hard, but they are still very good. There are a lot of ways to bring PZ back though. Zombie Master saves PZ a lot, since you can just bring him back by discarding a card, then syncro.

I have beat a lot of people by doing that! XD

The only card game that I've played was the Pokémon TCG when I was much younger. I still have some of my cards, and it was fun while it lasted, but my school isn't that large, so I couldn't really find anyone to play with, and the people I could find would import like, Shiny Limited Edition cards from Japan, and I could never beat them. Is this where my lack of self-esteem comes from?

Captain Fabio March 22nd, 2011 3:00 PM

I am sure you don't need to have low self-esteem.

I am currently training up Pokemon. God it is annoying at times.

Patience, Fabio. Sooner or later you'll end up with Pokemon stronger than what they are right now. :P

Saryka March 22nd, 2011 3:04 PM

Ack, level-grinding can be so boring. :/ Especially when you've gotten through Victory Road but you're not leveled up enough to face the Elite Four so you're stuck grinding forever in Victory Road. So tedious.
