I actually rather like McDonald's. :x Not all the time, but I don't mind it once in a while.

I am totally heading to one tomorrow (I hope) because the Pokémon promotion is on right now. n_n Happy Meal toys!

jigglyppuff8 June 17th, 2011 9:17 PM

I used to actually like McDonald's burgers once upon a time, being the first burger I've ever had. But now I can't eat them without feeling physically ill. Don't want to be hating, but other fast food joints can do it better than Mickey D's. Wendy's is my personal favorite for burgers. Those McNuggets are something else though. I'm going to die of a heart attack at the age of 26.

A Pixy June 17th, 2011 9:19 PM

I'm not into fast food restaurants. No, it's not because I'm a health nut, what gave you that silly idea? o3o

Livewire June 17th, 2011 9:22 PM

Oh god, I love me some Wendys, not gonna lie. XD yummmm

Cherrim June 17th, 2011 9:23 PM

Honestly, I don't like hamburgers from other fast food restaurants. I mean, it's not exactly to say that McD's burgers don't taste like burgers, but they have a very distinct taste. (I actually really like the spices or whatever the heck they flavour it with and I like the thin patties.) Other hamburgers just seem kinda generic and my dad makes waaaay better burgers than any of the other places so eating at them just seems pointless 'cause they won't be as good.

My favourite fast food restaurant nowadays is Subway, which is funny 'cause a few years ago I hated the idea of going to one since I didn't really like sandwiches. I was a dumb kid/teen.

jigglyppuff8 June 17th, 2011 9:29 PM

I always order a Meatball sub whenever I go to Subway. I don't care what cheese, what bread, as long as it's toasted.

~Ryukaa June 17th, 2011 9:29 PM

I like Subway. xD;
McDonalds is alright with me as well, but for some reason, I just can't stand Hungry Jacks. The couple times I ever tried going to eat there, I found myself feeling awfully sick not too long afterwards. I don't know why, it's weird. Though, their Onion Rings aren't bad. o3o

You do know that you can customize, right?

I never order anything with lettuce if I can help it. I love onions, pickles, and tomatoes, though.

Baaaw. :( My standard order from Subway (I rarely vary from it because I love it so much) is just a plain sub with roast beef, lettuce, and tomato. I don't bother with anything else. XD;

PokéSwimmer June 17th, 2011 9:31 PM

In-N-Out Burger = best fast food you'll ever eat. They even make it all fresh in front of you.

Jack O'Neill June 17th, 2011 9:34 PM

I haven't actually ordered anything at Subway in ages, but I still remember what my standard order is: Footlong with roast beef, turkey, ham, onions, pickles, tomatoes, and honey mustard on toasted rye. I'm getting real hungry just thinking about it.

Alternative June 17th, 2011 9:35 PM

Fast food will always and forever be kinda of terrible. The best burger you will ever get though is probably from your local fish+chip shop. Unlike other places, you can actually see them cooking it on a stovetop. :D Either that, or the burgers they had to make one time in Masterchef.

That sounds heavenly, actually. I haven't been at Subway lately myself.

I haven't tried grapes yet but I'm kinda scared to, same with strawberries. xD;

I want to try peaches though! ♥

I'm not a fan of peaches, but I can't believe you haven't tried grapes or strawberries! Wtf! Strawberries are delicious. As are grapes, though I prefer green grapes over red/purple ones.

I've heard good things about that place but there aren't any in Canada. D:

I had KFC for the first time in years... a week or two ago and it was SO greasy. Way greasier than I remembered. :( I have no intention of eating there again anytime in the near or distant future. My parents buy already-prepared chicken wings, fried chicken, and or fries quite often now from grocery stores and Wal-Mart (which is a surprisingly good grocery store here o_O) and they taste way better and are probably healthier...

Jack O'Neill June 17th, 2011 10:04 PM

KFC's the only big-name fried chicken joint that's within a reasonable distance of where I live, so I have no choice but to go to them if I really want some fried chicken. I'd like to try Popeyes, but the nearest one is all the way in the next county.

Ugggh I can't eat the cooked chickens at grocery stores anymore. There was a year or two when my mom would buy those all the time, at least twice a week, and I got so sick of them that my appetite just disappears when I see one. Which is still often since she buys them and uses them for lunchmeat. xD;

You're pretty much the opposite of me in that regard, Erica. Then again, it helps that my mom only buys the cooked chicken at the grocery store once every other week at most. I don't know how they cook the chickens over in the Toronto metropolitan area, but at least in my part of central California, the chicken's at least decent.

Hell, I had a grocery store rotisserie chicken for dinner earlier tonight. The skin is always the best part.

vaporeon7 June 17th, 2011 10:21 PM

My mum almost never buys supermarket pre-cooked chicken. She says it costs more and that my day would eat it quickly anyway so I'm not sick of them.

My brother does pick up some marked down ones on the way home from work though. :3

...lmao strawberries are like the least crunchy fruit I know, beaten only by raspberries, maybe. wtf. XD; They're very sweet, which is why I can usually not have too many at once, but it's a fairly soft fruit. You should try them at least once. :3

Ugh I hate the skin. :c The chickens we're talking about (I think) are done rotisserie-style as well but after having so many, I just... can't eat 'em. XD; They don't taste bad but the skin itself is definitely really greasy which is likely why I can't stand the skin at all. Meat inside, not so much. I'll eat it if my mom's done all the work stripping it from the bones. :P

I know what you mean Erica. After so many years of eating fish 2 or 3 times a week I have grown to loathe it. I would rather go hungry then eat is some of the time. For about a month I used to not eat anything at dinner because 1/3 it would be fish (that my uncle didn't fillet properly) and some vegetable that were cooked in a bad way. Whenever I smelt that. I automatically lost my appetite.

Palkia June 17th, 2011 10:58 PM

Same here. I have almost nothing in, not even bread. :(

vaporeon7 June 17th, 2011 11:01 PM

vaporeon7 June 17th, 2011 11:06 PM

If I can't chew gum, paper it is then; time to troll the teacher.

I eat paper when I don't want people to see what is on it. I do it at school when the teacher demands to read a secret note.

Drawing food on paper sounds like a bad idea. Though like Dr. Kotov said, it's a good alternative to chewing gum, but without the yummy flavor.

Alternative June 18th, 2011 12:10 AM

Why would you eat paper to refuse to give someone a secret note? Wouldn't it be better to eat a phone to hide a secret text from someone? You get the nice flavour of electricity and the crunch of something super crunchy.

vaporeon7 June 18th, 2011 12:10 AM

I wonder if those fruit scented markers taste any good?

I like strawberries too, I don't like strawberry scented stuff though.

Well, the ink used in board markers do contain some pretty awesome chemicals, so that could be a pretty true statement. But you'd probably need to take in a lot of it. I've never done anything like that, so yeah.. :/

Alternative June 18th, 2011 12:45 AM

Why would you want to smell textas?
I don't mind the smell of the petrol stations. It's weird, but it gives that weird sensation that it's not a bad smell, if you know what I mean.

Impo June 18th, 2011 12:48 AM

...I find the smell of tobacco nauseating yet ... good.
Oddly I'm seasonally athsmatic

Alternative June 18th, 2011 12:53 AM

To smell it I can't see anything going wrong, aesthetically, but taking huge whiffs of it can be lethal as far as I know. I know someone who died because of trying to get high that way.

vaporeon7 June 18th, 2011 12:55 AM

Smelling petrol releases pleasure hormones and then gets rid of them or something. That's what I heard anyway.

Impo June 18th, 2011 1:10 AM

I reckon I could get high off smelling permanent textas.

Alternative June 18th, 2011 5:13 AM

Why waste your time trying to get high from textas and petrol when you could waste your time getting high on a ladder. Just get a really big one and climb as high as you can. Then if you have the ability to do so (context sensitive) and/or are a red squirrel, you could jump off and turn into an anvil so you don't hurt yourself.

Sweet Candace June 18th, 2011 5:52 AM

I went to go take my permit test today. Turns out they won't accept cash, only checks/money orders. So my dad has to go all the way back to the post office by my house (turns out he could've gone to the supermarket right down the road and get a money order.)

Then when he finally comes back, turns out I need to have a doctor's visit to even take my permit test!

Yeah, my dad wasn't too happy leaving. (I never even go my permit because my parents just couldn't afford insurance on 4 cars.)

Alternative June 18th, 2011 5:55 AM

Okay, seriously, that's the dumbest thing I've ever heard. Here all you have to do is go, wait for x amount of time, pay to take the test, take it and leave when you're done. If you get your permit, then yay, if not, then try again another time.

You also need like, some proof of stuff. So basically, you need proof of your age, your existance, and your address.

Shiny June 18th, 2011 6:12 AM

Alternative, it may vary upon country. I live in Australia too, but other countries might have it varying.

If was unable to pass my permit test, I would've had to take it next Thursday or Saturday.

Now, I have to get a doctor's appointment, get that done with, and have to go take my test then.

Morkula June 18th, 2011 7:33 AM

That's really weird. Here in Virginia you just go to the DMV, take the test, and show a couple forms of identification, and you get your permit. They check your eyes using the machine right there on the counter at the DMV, but that's it. Why would you need a doctor's visit? o_O

Ohio does it the same way, you're in and out in a few minutes. o_0 Maybe a pre-existing condition?

I don't like the doctors.

Just going makes me think I'm unhealthy. :C

Alternative June 18th, 2011 9:07 AM

I don't mind them. I just don't like any of those doctor shows on TV. I mean those ones which go in deep about how procedures work and stuff, which is weird. I find all those internal organs fascinating when I see them.

Shiny June 18th, 2011 9:11 AM

I can't stand them, they make me squirm! My father works in a hospital so it's really standard viewing in our household to know this all...I can't stand them but >.<

Alternative June 18th, 2011 9:42 AM

I used to be totally freaked out by these things, but now I'm just fascinated by seeing them on TV. I'm usually squeemish at the smallest things though, like even someone spitting on the ground used to make me squirm with disgust. Nowadays, there's still some things I can't watch, but most things I can. My sister had to watch Jackass 3D today, which I couldn't be around, because it was disgusting.

Eucliffe June 18th, 2011 9:48 AM

For some reason I don't mind animated blood, but even fake blood on shows make me wince.

Elite Overlord LeSabre™ June 18th, 2011 9:56 AM

I try to avoid blood as much as possible when watching TV... most of the time it's only for shock factor anyway.

Mew~ June 18th, 2011 10:13 AM

I don't mind blood that much at all, well on tv that is, no matter how much it it. I don't mind much blood in real life, but if it's massive amounts I'm bound to get a little squeamish.

Overlord Drakow June 18th, 2011 11:28 AM

I don't mind blood and gore too much. Any of you watched Elfen Lied >=D

AshPikastar June 18th, 2011 2:02 PM

I don't like it when it shows too much blood like Elfen Lied but a small amount of blood is alright for me.

Luck June 18th, 2011 3:11 PM

I don't mind blood at all, but I do mind how every character that bleeds has amazing coagulation. I'm not expecting a fountain, but it's like their blood clots a second or two after being injured.

I prefer fountains myself, if we're going to go for unrealistic violence.

インフェルノの津波 June 18th, 2011 3:16 PM

Sweet Candace June 18th, 2011 3:53 PM

I'm uneasy when it comes to blood. It just...just makes me cringe and makes me sick to my stomach.

Oryx June 18th, 2011 4:08 PM

Blood to me is just...meh. Pointless just to shock people for the most part. "Oh, this anime doesn't really have much else going for it? Let's add BLOOD, that'll bring in the 13-year-olds who just discovered that they can watch whatever anime they choose!"

-Jared- June 18th, 2011 4:35 PM

I'm the same way! I saw a parody clip of a Saw movie that had a real scene in it, and I couldn't get my mind of that scene. And it was right before I went to bed. -__- Horror movies (and anything else that is really violent and graphic in nature) tend to make me feel sick. My best friend is the same way, she couldn't sleep for days after watching a youtube clip of parts of Fatal Frame. I stay away form horror games. >__> Being scared is not my type of thing. XD I remember in my drama class, on days where we couldn't practice plays and such, my teacher would play movies, and every movie he picked that year was a horror movie. -__- He picked 30 Days of Night ( or whatever, as I didn't pay attention) and I literally had to keep my face buried in my english book.

vaporeon7 June 18th, 2011 5:20 PM

I am pretty good with most scenes that involve blood, gore, etc. There was one time when I watched a movie and my brother said I was bone white afterwards.

Eucliffe June 18th, 2011 5:37 PM

I've gotten better at watching scenes with blood. I blame Criminal Minds and X-Files. Not to mention my taking a year of Forensics in 11th grade (strangely enough, I loved the unit on serology and joked about how I wish we could experiment with real blood).

Elite Overlord LeSabre™ June 18th, 2011 5:41 PM

Yeah, oddly enough I don't mind watching those forensic science shows with all the dead bodies and blood spatter and all that, but I don't like seeing that sort of stuff in fictional works. Go figure.

A Pixy June 19th, 2011 11:57 AM

1000 Ways to Die is violent but it is also awesome.

Jack O'Neill June 19th, 2011 12:45 PM

On the subject of original programming on Spike TV, 1000 Ways to Die is actually pretty decent, if only because of the presentation style; at least it's nowhere near as obnoxious as MANswers. The less said about Deadliest Warrior, the better; there's nothing there that you can't learn by watching either the Discovery Channel or the History Channel.

Sweet Candace June 19th, 2011 1:26 PM

Speaking of Spike, there's one show on that station, my mom can't get enough of, Auction Hunters.

In fact, that's the only show on the station we ever watch.

XxSweetDreamsxX June 19th, 2011 2:05 PM

My parents watch that all the time too, just saying. It gets really boring after awhile, since idk what anything on there is. They also like to alternate between that and "Pawn Stars". :/

We barely get to watch anything else anymore OTL

Sweet Candace June 19th, 2011 2:11 PM

Pawn Stars is a good show. I like all the classic merchandise people bring in and amazed how many specialists they have specializing in everything that comes through the front door.

XxSweetDreamsxX June 19th, 2011 3:04 PM

Lol. XD I guess I would like it more if I knew what everything was.

インフェルノの津波 June 19th, 2011 3:47 PM

Pawn Stars is a little...unbelievable. All these people just so happen to bring in stuff from history (I can believe stuff such as old cowboy collections, coke machines, etc.) while their filming. Just how long are the cameramen/staff their?

A Pixy June 19th, 2011 3:48 PM

I've no experience with that show.

It seems as though it's worth $2000.

I'll pay you twenty cents.
