<~ Jealous

I was planning on going to Tokyo for my senior year or part of college, but the eq happened, and I got a letter from the University of Barcelona so I might go there :o Thats one reason why I need to learn proper Spanish :O

Congrats for the letter to the University. It's not everyday that you can get one.

Thanks :D
I friggen hate the grammar for Spanish D:

My parents will probably make me go to a University in the US tho D:

Then you'll be completely confused by English grammar. It makes no sense compared to Spanish.

Bloo April 3rd, 2011 5:02 PM

At my school, we take Spanish. It's pretty fun to learn, and it's easy to me, because at a young age I knew French, and they are both derived from Latin, so they are very similar. I'm taking Spanish II this year, so it counts for a high school credit in middle school, which is why I have to do well or I will die D:

Livewire April 3rd, 2011 5:06 PM

Counting HS and College so far, I've had 10 semesters worth of French. XD only two more to go.

English grammar is easy to me, since its my first language :o Spanish grammar is weird :/

Steven April 3rd, 2011 5:16 PM

Spanish grammar is easy at first, but it gets harder as it gets more advanced. The basics are easy. Gender is almost always follows the rules, conjugation is usually simple for regular verbs. The past tense is hell though.

English grammar is easy too, the thing that gets most people is that they over think it. They say, "Wait, it can't be that simple. So, they must do this." Then they say the wrong thing when what they thought was wrong was correct.

The hard thing about English is spelling. :/

Saryka April 3rd, 2011 5:17 PM

I've been learning French since I was nine and it's actually gonna be my major! :) I've always found it really fun. And in Canada, it's a pretty useful skill to know both official languages. I'd really like to learn Spanish one of these days, though~

The only things that really suck about French is that conjugation is hell to learn and practice, genders can be a little confusing, and every rule has a billion exceptions. If you're good at memorizing things (exceptions), you'll do fine, but it's still quite annoying at times.

Azure Revolver April 3rd, 2011 5:21 PM

All authorities seem to have left the scene and everything is calm. I didn't go around to see what damage has been done, I'm just waiting for the evening news to learn more about it.

The only thing that I hate is pronouns such as "lo". The spelling in Spanish is easy because everything is said as it is written. The past tense isn't that bad, and sometimes you even gte verbs like "trabajaba" in the imperfect tense. :P It is so fun to say :-)

Hablabamos is my favorite Spanish verb.

I love irregularities. Therefore I love French.

If English is your first language than yeah you pick up pretty fast but for someone learning it as the second it can be difficult. English grammar is inconsistent and sometimes just plain weird. Like bologna. Or why read can be pronounced two different ways that each mean different things. Spanish on the other hand, everything is pronounced the way it's spelled and there's simple conjugations.

That is because you were learning it when you had no understanding on any language what so ever.

It is different if you already know a language and are trying to learn another, because you are use to the words, pronunciations and rules of 'Z' language.

Livewire April 3rd, 2011 6:48 PM

^ It's also easier to learn a language the younger a person is, interestingly enough. Just the way the brain handles language learning processes.

WriteThemWrong April 3rd, 2011 7:23 PM

And do we really need 26 letters? "K" is useless and never says anything. When was the last time you used "X" or "Z?" How come "Y" is sometimes a vowel? We've already confused our kids by booting Pluto and Triceratops why not streamline the alphabet?

But without 'K', there wouldn't be any KitKats and Kangaroos. Just think of the Kangaroos! D:

Lol guys, take a look at this. How sad is this? Bribing others to flame me. Come at me bro.

Some poor saps desperate for a pokemon actually did it. Too bad they won't be getting it since the douche got banned and hopefully they were awarded infractions for having no life, amiright?

Haha, what is wrong with Kangaroo Jack?

Margot April 3rd, 2011 7:52 PM

My name is Kelsey and I take offense to thinking K is useless :| as does my username.

hahaha in all seriousness though, english isn't bad at all. I took french in high school and i'm learning arabic now and believe me, the rest seem like a breeze compared to that. There's 3 ways to write each symbol depending where in the sentence you use it. At least english has one way only, you can't complain about that ;)

I was actually talking to a mod about why someone would be "standing up" for a douche when I didn't know about it. The mod looked through his threads, found it, and banned the ****er. Also removed the posts of those who followed his order like a headless zombie. I was linked to the post in a reply.

I find it funny regardless. That lowers my already low impression of him and makes me lose all respect for anyone who posted in that thread.

;~; I posted completely legitimately in that thread before any of that happened, won one of them right before he did all that, and then didn't actually get it because my wi-fi sucked. Mfw

Update on the fire. Caused $20,000 in damage. Cause was a piece of charcoal disposed of improperly.

CrazyShooter April 4th, 2011 12:09 AM

Has anyone else set their forum font as bleeding cowboys? :p
