Workout Plans

I'm pretty sure that this belongs here or in the OVP, I'm not really sure....but anyways, I was just curious to see what some of PC's members workout schedule looks like. I usually just run about 10-14 miles everyday and burn about 2-4,000 calories. I used to lift weights but now I can't due to some physical injuries. What does your workout schedule look like?

Captain Fabio March 22nd, 2011 4:35 PM

I don't do much running, but I walk everywhere.

The main thing that I do is weights. I have my own posh weights so I use them every night.
2x5kg rings + 1.5kg metal bar = 11.5kg on each arm x 50 reps per arm in one go; 5 sets of them on normal pulls. (Might not sound heavy, but once you get onto that 5th set, it is tough as hell.)

I do different sets for my arms, chest and shoulders every single night.

I enjoy doing it.

Sammi March 22nd, 2011 7:35 PM

I walk to and from work. It's two miles one way. I probably should do something more, like run part of it or something, but considering I work in pizza and haven't gained noticeable weight since I've been working there, I think walking has done me some good.

Technically I have gained weight but I don't really look any bigger than I did when I first started working at my current job, so I assume it's the walking that's keeping me in check, and that some of the weight is muscle in my legs, but idk for sure.

Alice March 22nd, 2011 8:14 PM

I do this every day:
1.) 1-3 PM: Hour long bike ride. (I always ride on my highest gear, even while going up hill, and planned out a route that takes me up as many steep hills as possible.)
2.) 4-6 PM: Another hour long bike ride.
3.) After Dinner: Take my dog for a walk, which lasts about 1-1.5 hours. About half of which I run.
4.) Around Midnight: Run around the school track for about a half hour.
5.) If I feel like it: I may also lift weights, or do push ups or something... I honestly do all of the running/riding because it's fun, not to stay in shape. I don't really like lifting weights, so I hardly ever do it.

This is by no means a strict schedule... but I'd say this is more or less the average.

OK. Reading that just made me, honest to god, spit tea out of my mouth onto my laptop screen! I just have this image of being inside the dough trying to fight trafffic to get to your office inside a bit of mozzarella in the centre!*

As for my work-out: I walk everywhere, for a start (there's no real point in driving or even getting public transport for most places as I live in central London: driving would take longer and result in more stress via road rage, public transport just costs so much money); I go to the gym twice a week and do a bit of cardio and weight training; finally, I go swimming at least once a week... although I've just started getting into that so am not particularly brilliant as of yet.

*Before anyone says anything, I am aware that sammi-san does not work inside a pizza... although it did take me about five seconds to realise this. I'm having an off-day so far! -_-

wow, you allocated two hours for a one hour bike ride :P
and midnight running? seems a little dangerous.

well, even though i've only seen three posts, i daresay i do least amount of physical activity here.

I just do sit-ups. alot. and on weekends I bike ride a little.
I don't gain any weight though; I watch what I eat, not strictly, but I do.

Yeah, I'm in a bit of a bad position and don't really dedicate any time to exercising... I am definitely walking a lot more due to university after the holidays, but I definitely need to start doing some exercise. I'm not overweight or anything, I just am not fit at all... :P

Guy March 23rd, 2011 7:29 AM

Oh, I love this thread. I get to share my work out schedule with your guys! n_n;

So, just to give you a gist of things without boring you in specifics, I work out four days in the week (Mon, Tues, Thurs, Fri). Each work out on these days lasts roughly two hours to two and a half hours with a certain number of sets and reps. It consists of mostly cardio and weightlifting, but I also do some running when outside with my dog and at home I sometimes turn up the music and do some dancing [because I'm fun like that].

Anyway, I don't actually work out my entire body on all four days. On Mondays I focus on my chest and triceps. Tuesdays I work out the back, biceps, and abs. On Thursday I hit the legs from my quads, hamstrings, and calves. Then on Friday I do a bit of working on my shoulders and abs again.

Wednesday (like today) and the weekends are my rest days. So, I don't do any kind of work outs on these days other than maybe walking my dog which isn't for keeping fit, but for my dog's sake. XD

RYOUKI March 23rd, 2011 7:35 AM

I... don't workout. Too much effort. But I do walk everywhere, and I mean everywhere. To work, to school, to the mall. Also, we live in the fourth floor, so yeah, excersise right there. XD

I get bored after about an hour, so I come home... but it's not enough to actually tire me out, so I end up going again a couple hours later.

I live in a fairly small town, so it's safe to go out at night.

Sydian March 24th, 2011 9:26 PM

I don't workout. Closest to a workout that I'll get is dancing, waking around campus, marching, and stretching. Hmm...yeah, I'll consider that a workout.

Weeaboo Name March 24th, 2011 10:20 PM

I run 3 - 5 times a week for cardio. Don't really do weights or anything but I play Badminton fortnightly and Football (soccer) even more frequently.

Caelus March 26th, 2011 11:55 PM

My workout plan consists of weightlifting on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday; cardio on Wednesdays; followed by rest on the weekends.

The workouts I do are dependent on what my coaches want us (the football team) to do.

PlatinumDude March 27th, 2011 2:04 AM

I spend 15 minutes on the treadmill and 15 minutes on the rolling machine. Then I do sit-ups and push-ups.

XtinaIsMeLuvinWWE March 27th, 2011 8:42 AM

I walk everywhere and I do a combination of sit-ups, squats and crunches every day. I also do things like aerobics when I can :) In summer I'm going to start going for runs again :)

WriteThemWrong March 27th, 2011 7:52 PM

My apartment has a terrible fitness center so whenever I want to work out I got to go to the rec center, which is amazing, on campus. It's so far away so I don't go very often, or as much as I would like to.

But whenever I do go, I usually work on my core muscles and arms.

Yurusumaji March 27th, 2011 7:55 PM

I walk up my stairs to go to bed. It's exhausting, man!

Hiidoran March 27th, 2011 10:05 PM

I've actually only been doing regular exercise for about three months now, but I'm beginning to become very addicted to it and I absolutely love the gym I joined! The discounted price I get because they were a new location when I joined is a pretty awesome perk as well.

I work out at least every other day unless I'm unable to by some force. I'm not really obese or anything, but losing weight was my main focus in starting regular exercise... so cardio is a biiiiiig part of my workout each time. I do high intensity interval training (HIIT) on the treadmill for a half hour with a five minute cool down. That will really wear you out... I follow that up with another half hour on a bike or elliptical on ever-increasing levels with another cool down.

Other than that, I just target different parts of my body on different days in terms of weight lifting and other machines. I'll do upper body one day, lower body the next, and then tone whatever I felt I didn't really cover before starting the cycle again. Honestly I need to figure out a more efficient plan for everything but cardio, but I do lift my own personal weights at home for two reps of twelve twice a day, and I also do a routine of sit ups and push ups, so that maaay help? Haha.

Whenever I am at my college (not now because I am on Spring Break which is about to end in two days ='( ) I will go to my college's fitness center with my boyfriend every other day and we will spend an hour to an 1.5 hours in the gym working out

We have a membership at the YMCA down the road so I'll go there sometimes after school.

I just really do a little bit of everything. Then about fifteen minutes before my parents come pick me up, I'll either chill in the pool or do some laps in the pool.

Pokemon Trainer Touko April 1st, 2011 8:54 PM

- I walk to school
- I play tennis twice a week
- I swim on weekends
- I do cross country races every Friday.

.. Is that enough? XD

Margot April 1st, 2011 10:17 PM

I'm in good shape as it is, so to keep that going I like to run :) however, where I live it chooses to be -100 degrees six months of the year so running outside isn't a pleasant option. Once it's nice out, I'm out running.

mondays suck April 2nd, 2011 7:45 AM

I can't be bothered. I do sports twice a week (well, that's counting school sport, but it IS sport), I think it suffices.

Freedom Fighter N April 2nd, 2011 8:04 AM

I used to run 7km each two days, but now I run 3.5km a day, at a high speed.
I do a few sets of diamond pushups, and another two excesizes I don't know their names. One of them is very hard.

ShinyMeowth April 2nd, 2011 3:11 PM

I hate exercising. I am more into thinking. The only exercise I do, is walk to school, which is 2 blocks away from my home.
