What do you think about the electric notice boards?

When you walk between two routes sometimes, or a city to a route, you may pass through a gate which features a moving notice board containing information that may be useful to trainers. This could include where the roaming legendaries are or swarms even. When you step right in front of one and click it, the screen will change angle and you'll get a better view.

What do you think of these - do you consider them to be a useful way to convey information or do you ignore them? Or do you just consider them to be an interesting feature but you don't care about them?

Enigma March 23rd, 2011 10:08 PM

I thought that they were a nice little addition to the games. I don't find them particularly useful myself, but I always look at them whenever I have the opportunity. The camera angle and the graphics themselves look really nice. :D

Master Jecht March 23rd, 2011 10:11 PM

they look cool. I only watched the first 3 or 4 then I just started to skip them.

インフェルノの津波 March 23rd, 2011 10:12 PM

Probably one of my favorite features in the game, it makes you feel like as time goes bye, technology is really advancing.

But I kinda liked it cause it told the world that you beat the gym leader you just fought beforehand.

BenjiTheKid March 23rd, 2011 10:22 PM

I think it was a nice idea, but I don't find them particularly useful. The neatest thing about them, though, is that it makes me feel like the Pokemon world is growing in the technology field just as much as the real world. I mean, you would have never have seen something like that in Kanto or Johto! I watched the first two, though, and then never really bothered looking at one again.

The Nightmare March 23rd, 2011 10:45 PM

I find them useful for Pokemon outbreaks and etc,for what is actually happens but sometimes it's not useful when you see stuff about the daycare.

Kirbychu March 23rd, 2011 10:51 PM

I can't be bothered to look at then, but I guess it's a pretty cool feature.

persocom-chi March 23rd, 2011 10:59 PM

I dont find them that interesting or usefull. The town map is more usefull its got everything you need to know.

Sabrewulf238 March 23rd, 2011 11:23 PM

I usually only look at for the swarms, apart from that I don't spend much time looking at them.

CrowSama March 24th, 2011 3:16 AM

They aren't really that useful except for the Pokemon Outbreak notices. Other than that I think they are mostly there for... a touch of realism I would guess, like the electric signs at airports.

tjb90 March 24th, 2011 3:37 AM

I really like the electric notice boards. I like reading them for info about the weather and what is going on in the different places. I like how it tells you what different things are in the different towns too!

lamby101 March 24th, 2011 5:23 AM

It's a nice addition but I much preffered it when we were told which pokemon was swarming like in older games.

I try to avoid going on sites like Serebii to find out but sometimes it's the only way to know if you've caught the swarming pokemon.

ElectricScyther March 24th, 2011 5:28 AM

They're pretty cool, but they move too slowly for me and I just ignore them.

Eurydice March 24th, 2011 5:37 AM

i really like them its quite nice knowing where the swarms are when u are just out training. i find myself standing at them everytime i pass to read what its saying

ElectricScyther March 24th, 2011 5:51 AM

Actually, sometimes they let me know what to expect in the near future, so once in a while I stop and read them.

DayDreamer March 24th, 2011 6:01 AM

Good for swarm information. It beats having to fly to a specific location just to find out like the previous games so it's useful. Other than that not useful. They probably need more time events to abuse it more.

Captain Fabio March 24th, 2011 6:34 AM

They are decent and a nice idea, but I stopped looking at them when I passed the 3rd city.

Even though I don't use them, they are good and I didn't know they included swarm information, so I my pay attention to them more often...

solarowl March 24th, 2011 7:15 AM

I like this feature, but I don't use it often. Except maybe for Swarms.
Plus, my name's on it. XD

Pwnyta Jockey March 24th, 2011 11:34 AM

Found them to be rather distracting. Useful for swarms I guess.

-weeper March 24th, 2011 11:43 AM

I don't mind it. Haven't really used them yet.

Pkmn Trainer Touko March 24th, 2011 12:08 PM

I thought they were a cute addition, but after the first playthrough, I don't both looking at them anymore.

Woobat March 24th, 2011 1:39 PM

I think they are one of those nice little features, and it's cool that the swarms are on there every day. The process of tracking down the roaming legendaries with the notice boards is a bit tedious in my opinion though, since they move when you enter and exit the gates.

Dark Piplup March 24th, 2011 1:52 PM

I love them! I think they're really cool! They give the game a realistic feel.

Aquacorde March 24th, 2011 2:24 PM

I like them. Every time I go past one I'll watch it for a while, see what it has to say, slow down for a moment and take a bit of a break. Although it's a bit odd that the weather tends to be Sunny at night. Perhaps "Clear" would have been a better choice of words.

OmegaRuby and AlphaSapphire March 24th, 2011 2:35 PM

I don't use them as much as I used to when I started...I think they could have added more things to make the more useful like it could have been used for a 20 % sales cut on the Pokestores or something...
