Abusing the Event Pokemon, I'm Sorry Victini and Zekrom!!! [fast ways to gain exp]

So, unless you've managed to capture them in one sitting, or never thought to do this, you know that you can continuously re-battle Victini, Reshiram, and Zekrom, right?

Have any of you done this for training? Personally, I'm training my Pokemon to Lv.25 against Victini as I type. It's a pretty ingenious idea since the they give a decent amount of experience.

I'm considering leaving Victini alone once my Poke's are all Lv.25 anf then coming back with my other Poke's.

I'm not going to use this method as I've already caught Zekrom and Victini, but how did you manage to do this?

For Victini when you KO it the guys says "Leave the room and return" When you do that the pokemon returns. :D I KOed Victini a few times, I was sooo underleveled.

Ah didn't know that. Do you keep battling Zekrom until you catch him too then? I wouldn't know as I got lucky and caught him in a Poke Ball first try XD

Yes you HAVE to catch him, that's why his Catch rate was so high. You had to catch him. It would've been harder to catch him with a Pokeball if you didn't have to catch him.

masaru3 March 29th, 2011 1:22 PM

I haven't done this, I caught them as soon as I could :D
I go to route 14 or the giant chasm for training.

jynx March 29th, 2011 1:32 PM

My friends and I didn't capture Victini for one reason--HP EV training.
We keep KOing it and KOing it for HP EVs.

JP March 29th, 2011 1:35 PM

Oh shoot, I always get so excited when catching Legendaries, that I just do it right away when I can. Never even thought about doing this. :( Would definitely come in handy if you don't have EV training items lol.

That's genius since he gives out 3 ev points.

Dark Piplup March 29th, 2011 2:59 PM

Well... I never thought to do this but because I don't have Victini I'll have to do that when I get it.

Alakazam17 March 29th, 2011 3:14 PM

I never thought about doing this, and seriously, even now that I know, I still won't. I'll just go through the E4 multiple times to get my Pokémon to the required levels.

solarowl March 29th, 2011 3:21 PM

I did this for Victini. I tried for Zekrom, but when you beat it, you don't get any exp points. D:

blue March 29th, 2011 3:23 PM

I think this would become a little too repetitive for me, I like to just capture the Event Pokémon on the first attempt :)

OmegaRuby and AlphaSapphire March 29th, 2011 3:48 PM

I never did this but I did think of doing so...

Rionix March 29th, 2011 4:42 PM

i killed victini so many times now that i even memorized its cry when dying and its battle theme.. :P

Ho-Oh March 30th, 2011 6:50 AM

I totally should have done that, buuut... my Emboar was already over-grinded, so. :( On the plus side, I've yet to get Victini on Black, nor Reshiram. :D So I can possibly use them for grinding.

Heart Gold March 30th, 2011 6:52 AM

I'm going to over-grind my Servine and Drilbur when I get to Castalia! Thanks for the idea/info, I didn't know this! I would feel bad hurting Zekrom because he's so cute! XD

Kikaito plush March 30th, 2011 6:57 AM

I'll try that out on pokemon Black.. as soon as I get to castelia city that is.

I didn't know you could this when I caught them on white.

UUGH!, If i knew that, then i would have never wasted my Master Ball on Zekrom -_-"

Dusk White March 30th, 2011 6:03 PM

I know I won't waste poke good balls to catch ledgendary pokemon then I can get victini

The Nightmare March 30th, 2011 7:43 PM

I don't really find it useful because when you keep on fighting them you don't level up fast, but I don't have to worry about that because I'm a level 80.

Trainning (my 1st tut)

So some of you might know I have posted a thread asking how to train pokemon fast. Now, I found a pretty good way, but your pokemon will hate you.
require:
1. not defeat the Elite four
2. Exp. Share
3. luck egg

first, have a high level Pokemon on the first slot. Give lucky egg.

second, choose a Pokemon that you want to level up.

third, defeat at least two of them (each gives you $6000, when you loose, you lose around $7000, that means you still earning money. Try not to use potions or other items)

repeat the process until you are enough with it.
one thing I found out is the money adds more every time you lose. (maybe you guys already find that)

Hope you enjoy my tutorial. Please leave comments. Thanks

While that's a good training method, we've already got a thread on how to boost experience points. Although it's based on the legendaries Pokemon, this thread seems loose enough to allow users to post other ways to gain experience quickly, rather than clog the experience system thread with that!

John-117 April 1st, 2011 11:10 PM

why my thread is under abusing the event pokemon?

My post is just before yours, have a look at it - which explains the merge. And since you didn't see it, you'd be double posting anyway. Don't double post and edit your post if you have a question in the future anyways :)
