Ojamajo Doremi team!

In case you don't know what Ojamajo Doremi is, go here: http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/encyclopedia/anime.php?id=1190

Clefable (F) @ Lum Berry ** Doremi
Trait: Cute Charm
EVs: 252 HP / 129 Atk / 129 Def
Relaxed Nature (+Def, -Spd)
- Reflect
- Return
- Shadow Ball
- Thunder Wave
Thunder Wave, then attack with Return or Shadow Ball until Cute Charm takes effect. Reflect if needed.

Azumarill (F) @ Chesto Berry ** Aiko
Trait: Huge Power
EVs: 252 HP / 129 Atk / 129 SDef
Careful Nature (+SDef, -SAtk)
- Amnesia
- Body Slam
- Rest
- Seismic Toss
Body Slam for paralysis, Amnesia for defense against Grass and Electric defense, Rest to recover (thinking about dumping that for surf), and Seismic Toss for an attacking move.

Arcanine (F) @ Leppa Berry ** Hazuki
Trait: Intimidate
EVs: 252 Atk / 220 Spd / 38 SAtk
Mild Nature (+SAtk, -Def)
- Extremespeed
- Heat Wave
- Hidden Power [Fighting]
- Howl
I think it's explanatory.

Beautifly (F) @ Leftovers ** Onpu
Trait: Swarm
EVs: 252 HP / 129 Atk / 129 Def
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Aerial Ace/Silver Wind/Giga Drain
- Attract
- Safeguard
- Stun Spore
Trying to decide on an attack move here in case Onpu's the last Pokemon.

Ampharos (F) @ Leftovers ** Momoko
Trait: Static
EVs: 129 HP / 129 Def / 252 SAtk
Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Attract
- Hidden Power [Ice]
- Safeguard
- Thunderbolt
Similar to Doremi. Just replace Thunder Wave, Cute Charm, and Reflect for Attract, Static, and Safeguard respectively.

Togetic (F) @ Leftovers ** Hana-chan
Trait: Serene Grace
EVs: 252 HP / 129 SAtk / 129 SDef
Calm Nature (+SDef, -Atk)
- Safeguard/Rain Dance
- Thunder Wave
- Water Pulse
- Wish
I'm deciding between Safeguard in case Onpu and Momoko go down and Rain Dance to power up Water Pulse (which effect is raised by Serence Grace).

Maybe Cosmic Power, Counter, Seismic Toss, and Thunder Wave. Clefable's not that good as a sweeper.

Azumarill (F) @ Chesto Berry ** Aiko
Trait: Huge Power
EVs: 252 HP / 129 Atk / 129 SDef
Careful Nature (+SDef, -SAtk)
- Amnesia
- Body Slam
- Rest
- Seismic Toss
Body Slam for paralysis, Amnesia for defense against Grass and Electric defense, Rest to recover (thinking about dumping that for surf), and Seismic Toss for an attacking move.
252 attack please. Take it from HP. Brick Break over Rest. HP Ghost over Seismic Toss. Amnesia if you want... SPdef evs to defense.

Arcanine (F) @ Leppa Berry ** Hazuki
Trait: Intimidate
EVs: 252 Atk / 220 Spd / 38 SAtk
Mild Nature (+SAtk, -Def)
- Extremespeed
- Heat Wave
- Hidden Power [Fighting]

I think it's explanatory.
Indeed. Dedicate the 38 sp att to spd, and give it overheat. @White Herb

Beautifly (F) @ Leftovers ** Onpu
Trait: Swarm
EVs: 252 HP / 129 Atk / 129 Def
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Aerial Ace/Silver Wind/Giga Drain
- Attract
- Safeguard
- Stun Spore
Trying to decide on an attack move here in case Onpu's the last Pokemon.
You're better off using Butterfree.. it has more accuracy. Can it do safeguard? You can attract, and put Psychic in the attacking slot. If it can't safeguard, put giga drain in the other slot. Weakness - Rock, you know?

Ampharos (F) @ Leftovers ** Momoko
Trait: Static
EVs: 129 HP / 129 Def / 252 SAtk
Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Attract
- Hidden Power [Ice]
- Safeguard
- Thunderbolt
Similar to Doremi. Just replace Thunder Wave, Cute Charm, and Reflect for Attract, Static, and Safeguard respectively.
Substitute, Focus Punch, HP Ice/Thunder Wave, Thunder bolt. Mix evs.

Togetic (F) @ Leftovers ** Hana-chan
Trait: Serene Grace

Calm Nature (+SDef, -Atk)
- Safeguard/Rain Dance
- Thunder Wave
- Water Pulse
- Wish
I'm deciding between Safeguard in case Onpu and Momoko go down and Rain Dance to power up Water Pulse (which effect is raised by Serence Grace).
I suggest safeguard over rd. Other than that, ok.

Not really good with these pokes, forgive me for errors.

GYM LEADDER A December 12th, 2004 9:42 AM

Okay i get it somewhat with the team name .the team is good.Teach amuazurill something else instead of Amesia like a water atack.

Phlemingo December 12th, 2004 9:44 AM

...stop spamming dammit. At least comment some stuff useful.

Edit: What I posted is constructive; it helps newbies realize their mistakes.

Toothache December 12th, 2004 9:50 AM

Yeah, if you don't have anything constructive to post, don't post. Goes for both of you.

Strawberry Delcatty December 12th, 2004 10:03 AM

Doremi: Maybe Cosmic Power, Counter, Seismic Toss, and Thunder Wave. Clefable's not that good as a sweeper.
I'll try Cosmic Power over Reflect.

Aiko: 252 attack please. Take it from HP. Brick Break over Rest. HP Ghost over Seismic Toss. Amnesia if you want... SPdef evs to defense.

Brick Break and Seismic Toss? I'll go for that.

Hazuki: Indeed. Dedicate the 38 sp att to spd, and give it overheat. @White Herb
I don't like Overheat. Despite the power, sharply cutting SpAtk turns me off.

Onpu: You're better off using Butterfree.. it has more accuracy. Can it do safeguard? You can attract, and put Psychic in the attacking slot. If it can't safeguard, put giga drain in the other slot. Weakness - Rock, you know?
I was think about putting Psychic there. And yes, it can learn Safeguard.

Momoko: Substitute, Focus Punch, HP Ice/Thunder Wave, Thunder bolt. Mix evs.
I'm personally against the Substitute/Focus Punch combo. I consider it rather cheap for me to use. At least there are ways to counter a Thunder Wave/Attract combo while Subpunchers can almost never be touched. Trust me, I've always been beaten by them almost all the time.

Momoko: I suggest safeguard over rd. Other than that, ok.
Okay. I'll keep Safeguard then.

Cute Charm only takes effect when the opponent attacks you with a contact, not vice versa.

Spike Razzor December 12th, 2004 1:39 PM

I would much rather give Arcanine Lum Berry, its not that great of a Sp.Atker in most cases, it just use it once to cause harm to something and then most likely you just switch out to a more effective Pokemon.

klducks December 12th, 2004 2:36 PM

y in hell do you guys suggest reflect/cosmic power + counter?

@ leftovers... y do u have so many speed EVs if you have extremespeed? and if your going to say hp fighting, bliss is slow as hell if u havnt noticed >.> and most grass+steel pokemon are slow as hell too... put most of those speed evs in HP

3X weak to electric...

Ice demon December 12th, 2004 4:26 PM

Azumarill[adamant]@salac berry

counter/light screen/reflect
sesmic toss
reflect/light screen/counter/wish
yawn

Strawberry Delcatty December 12th, 2004 4:46 PM

thunder wave, cosmic power, rest, seismic toss @ leftovers... this bastard sweeps non p/hazing newbs
Doesn't Rest without Chesto Berry leave you wide open?

252 attack, 252 hp, 6 sp attack... substitute, focus punch, return/hp ghost, hydropump/surf or something like that
Again, I'm against Subpunchers. I rather not use that stragety.

@ leftovers... y do u have so many speed EVs if you have extremespeed? and if your going to say hp fighting, bliss is slow as hell if u havnt noticed >.> and most grass+steel pokemon are slow as hell too... put most of those speed evs in HP
I can't risk anyone being faster than me. I know Blissey is slow, but what if someone has a really fast normal type? Obviously HP Fighting won't cut it unless it's fast enough. And I need Leppa Berry in case I run out of Extremespeed PP.

the mini bugs nv work no matter what set u give it so meh...
At least I try to give them a good set.

sub and t wave > attract and safe guard... put some of those def evs in speed
I really don't like anything that revolves around Substitute. And T-wave's pratically useless when it has Static. And I need the Defense EVs for Ground protection. My Azumarill doesn't have Ice Beam or Water attacks, so HP Ice is the next best thing.

rain dancing is asking for swift swimmers to beam your ***... wish, t wave, s toss, soft boiled
Okay... that set doesn't revolve around Serene Grace at all, which was my previous set was intending to.

HoundoomTrainer December 12th, 2004 5:25 PM

It's called experience

No, because you'll be using Cosmic Power to boost your defensive stats.

252 attack, 252 hp, 6 sp attack... substitute, focus punch, return/hp ghost, hydropump/surf or something like that
Again, I'm against Subpunchers. I rather not use that stragety.

That is a pretty dumb idea.

Ok, my Arcanine has more Speed than HP EV's. It doesn't need to outspeed a normal type if it gets a OHKO with HP Fight, but it still needs SOME Speed. :\

Arcanine (F) @ Leftovers
Trait: Intimidate
EVs: 38 HP / 252 Atk / 92 Spd / 128 SAtk
Naughty Nature (+Atk, -SDef)
- Extremespeed
- Flamethrower
- Hidden Power [Fighting]
- Howl

Mine rocks. XD

the mini bugs nv work no matter what set u give it so meh...

And then they still [email protected]

Um, you DON'T want Ampharos getting hit. Substitute is an excellent move and the arrogance preventing you from using it is going to make you lose. :) Azumarill needs Hydro Pump because its Special Attack stat sucks.

rain dancing is asking for swift swimmers to beam your ***... wish, t wave, s toss, soft boiled
Okay... that set doesn't revolve around Serene Grace at all, which was my previous set was intending to.

Not many Swift Swimmers any. Ludicolo is the main worry but meh. Togetic will die to anything anyway so w/e.

-HT

Toothache December 12th, 2004 6:16 PM

HT, if she doesn't like the strategy, she doesn't have to use it. I see the benefit of sub-punching and lots of other battle styles, but I never use them. It's not like there's only one way to win a Pokemon match after all.

Anyway, back onto the movesets. Prefer Arcanine to have Fire Blast myself, I'd even consider Overheat if he didn't need other items and he can't afford to use White Herb IMO. Lum Berry over Leftovers works as well.

klducks December 12th, 2004 6:56 PM

ht covered all the comments except for this one...

not every pokemon has to use their ability... i dont think linoone uses its ability... does it?

Frostweaver December 12th, 2004 7:00 PM

i'll still use overheat for arcanine... and that's without white herb.

Arcanine- [atk + / something -] @ choice band
EV: atk, hp+def
-overheat
-extremespeed
-HP physical
-aerial ace

It was fun while it lasted.

That's because poor linoone has no other ability... :(

klducks December 12th, 2004 7:45 PM

but my point is, its still useful even if it doenst use its ability

Phlemingo December 12th, 2004 7:49 PM

That's true, but the abilities would usually help them in some way in battle. Serene Grace not being utilizized isn't very good. Might be better off using another pokemon for the annoyer moveset. Or is it tank?

Ice demon December 12th, 2004 8:23 PM

yes but that doesn't mean u have to utilize the ability
the point is that togetic has a limited special movepool [flamethrower, fire blast, water pulse and psychic is limited]
and as a result it can't utilize serene grace very well.to be honest 20% burn sucks
it can't even use the physical attacks that would benifit from serene grace either cuz its attack stat is so low
if u wanted to use the attack stat then u might as well go for hustle
In the end togetic is best used as a Sp tank/annoyer
as that is all its movepool permits
and u have to admit with - thunder wave/yawn/toxic/wish/the screens/counter/sesmic toss it could be used as an annoyer.
too bad its typing sucks
a boltbeam weakness is horrible when it comes to a Sp tank
as for using another pokemon as an annoyer well that is done all the time
i mean togetic isn't really OU nor is it even BL.
its totally UU and for a reason
