I also like the idea I had with Twilight, Rarity, Fluttershy, Applejack and Pinkie becoming babies and Rainbow and Spike having to find a way to get them back to normal.

Would make a good two-parter.

And the only pony who would help Rainbow would be Princess Celestia. I think that would be an interesting episode, to say the least.

Love this idea! It'd be absolutely adorable.

I love love that comic with pirate Luna; it's going straight to my MLP folder! <3

Sweet Candace October 2nd, 2011 3:20 PM

I really think seeing them as fillies/babies again would be adorable, but I think Rainbow may act a little too "motherly".

Nah. I think Rainbow Dash may act motherly, but she'll still keep her tomboyish style and self.
By the way... Rainbow Dash is a Wonderbolt. Yay! And a grown-up Scootaloo gets a ponyfan.

Favorite Episode: Well, I haven't seen all of them so I can't judge yet but so far: The one with Pinky's freaky twitching senses.
Favorite Main Pony: Fluttershy! Gotta love her cheering. ^_^ (RainbowDash comes second, don't think I don't have any love for her!)
Favorite Side Pony: Derpy, who else?

I never liked kids shows that I haven't seen since I was little. Until this! I don't know how they do it but DAMN this is an epic show! Although, as a lover of rain, it kinda bothers me how much they talk about sunshine...

Yay. Another Fluttershy fan! :) Welcome to the herd, U_flame!
The episode I believe you're referring to is "Feeling Pinkie Keen".

Lol, I just watched that too. :D

Sweet Candace October 3rd, 2011 10:20 AM

"Feeling Pinkie Keen" was an okay episode, I couldn't help but laugh when Twilight Sparkle evolved rage-moded into Rapidash Flamelight Sparkle. :D

Can't wait either. The episode should be exciting, and I'm amped up to see it when they put the episode onto Equestria Daily and/or YouTube.

Sheep October 4th, 2011 12:19 PM

I can't wait, either. Well, I can... one of my one-credit classes this semester starts the last day of October. D: So I won't have Mondays off anymore until the fall semester ends.

alisaie October 4th, 2011 1:08 PM

I have a final exam (minimester class) the week of the next episode of My Little Pony, so it'll be a good reward for me, I hope! And then the week after will be even more fantastic with Luna being in the episode.

Sweet Candace October 4th, 2011 1:36 PM

I have mid-terms next week, but on Wednesday. The new episode next Saturday will be a treat and a reward.

Luna's making a return? Good, I thought she was shoved into the closet of forgotten characters never to be seen again.

Cherrim October 5th, 2011 9:46 AM

I was just re-watching the first episodes with my roommate the other day (unfortunately I only got one of the two roommates into it D:) and remembered that Luna had kind of been completely forgotten. I'm really happy to hear she'll be in it again. n_n;

Esper October 5th, 2011 9:56 AM

Yesterday I showed the first episode to a friend (who enjoyed it, I think - one more convert) and when she was reading the credits she saw the name Studio B and mentioned how she'd just missed a chance to visit Studio B once for school because she wasn't feeling well that day. Shame, I would have liked to ask her about it.

Sweet Candace October 5th, 2011 12:07 PM

I'm feeling in the mood to re-watch my favorite Season 1 episodes again, I'll think I'll use the weekend (and Monday and Tuesday) to re-watch all Season 1 episodes. Should be fun.

juniebug910 October 5th, 2011 1:37 PM

You know, this MLP fanclub is older than the one on serebii, yet I joined both! I have been a brony for a LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG time. XDDDDD

Woo! I'm back again! Just watched a two day marathon of the entire season one of the show. Dang, that was good. :)

Sheep October 6th, 2011 4:18 AM

I still have to marathron through season one... I'll try and do it on the weekend. Got some other anime I need to watch sometime, too.

(whoo, new forumset!)

~Ryukaa October 6th, 2011 6:16 AM

I've marathoned Season 1 a few times. xD;
I should do that again, when I get the time.
(Since everybody wants to marathon Season 1 again, I reckon somebody should just open up a Synchtube or Livestream during the weekend or something. o3o)

Anyway, I drew this just then! I'm reaaally happy about how it turned out. : DD
Any constructive criticism is encouraged!

Sweet Candace October 6th, 2011 6:26 AM

DJ Pon3 and DJ Twilight. Cool. I really like the colors, and DJ Pon3's reaction. It's like; "no no, you're doing it wrong!"

But, nice pic nonetheless.

~Ryukaa October 6th, 2011 6:57 AM

I actually had more of a "These are some sweet beats!" kind of expression in mind, but I guess that works too. xD;

Sweet Candace October 6th, 2011 7:06 AM

You're point works too, I was just going off DJ Pon3's gestures.

~Ryukaa October 6th, 2011 7:18 AM

This video should explain it. xD;

Sweet Candace October 6th, 2011 7:30 AM

I saw that video. It's interesting, but DJ'ing isn't Twilight's cup of tea to be honest.

alisaie October 6th, 2011 8:54 AM

Why do you think she wasn't great at it? xD;

Anyways, just like I said in MSN Ryuryu, it's a really awesome pic. <3

Sweet Candace October 6th, 2011 8:55 AM

I don't know really, I just don't see her as a DJ. Definitely could see Pinkie Pie or Rainbow Dash being good DJ's.

I know a better Fluttershy singing video. It's called "What Pinkie's Song Really Sounded Like". It's on Youtube but I can't provide a link due to extreme language. It's brilliant!

I found this video to be funny/cute. A simple pitch change to the song makes the Mane 6 become colts.

A Rainbow Dash Wallpaper is in the making.

Sheep October 7th, 2011 4:06 PM

LOL, the deep voices when the ponies fainted were hilarious, especially Pinkie Pie's. But sweet, Rainbow got the win!

Listening to the pitch-changed At The Gala right now. So far, I'm lovin' it.

EDIT: I went to the mall with a friend today and saw the Brony Rainbow Dash shirt at Hot Topic. I seriously wanted to buy it, but I'm way too stingy to spend $20 plus tax on a shirt. I'm not a "bro", either, so... but even so, I'm probably going to find it cheaper online and order ;_;

That's because she likes me the most *brick'd*.

No, it's okay. I want to keep my "bronyism" to myself without my parents or friends knowing. (I'm very self-conscious at times...)

You and me both. My mother is the only one who accepts the fact that I like ponies and is okay with it.
However, the rest of my family would think I'm nuts if I said, "I'm a My Little Pony fan." I know the feeling.

My dad accidentally saw me watching ponies, but said they "Pokemon". I was mad about that, (1) for getting exposed and (2) for thinking they were Pokemon.

I have a couple of friends, but would never say "I am a fan of My Little Pony" to them.

I may sound weird to say this, but I have no friends who live around me. (No one wants to be my friend where I live...) :(

I only got fellow pony fans on the internet and other pals from Xbox Live. In truth, I'd like to meet many people I friended, but yeah... I can't.

Sheep October 7th, 2011 4:49 PM

My friends know I like MLP, but it's easier for me since I'm female. I'd be way too embarrassed to publicly show I'm a fan, though, like wearing actual accessories or clothing with ponies on them.

U.Flame October 7th, 2011 4:49 PM

I'm the same. My sister has some drama because a friend said she's not a real Pony fan if she keeps it secret. I disagree. It's like supporting homosexuals. It's safe here because Pokecommunity is cool like that. But the rest of the internet isn't so forgiving.

I think it is safer showing your love of ponies on the Internet rather in IRL.

Most of my pals on Xbox Live are okay with me liking the show and being a fan. I actually got one of them to watch some of it and sorta like it to a point.

But, yeah... other than here on PokeCommunity, Deviantart, Equestria Daily and other Pony related websites... "the internet isn't so forgiving" is the correct statement.

Sweet Candace October 7th, 2011 4:55 PM

While the Internet may not be forgiving at some times, a lot of people do respect other's opinions. So, bronies don't always get the cold shoulder.

Same here. I'm very caring and fair in my comments. (Or try to be... T_T)
I just try to be as friendly as possible, but there is always that one jerk... that annoys the living **** out of me by either taunting or trashing other's opinions.

Don't feed the Parasprites. They troll bronies because they obviously don't like the fact the show has such a huge following.

But that's the mentality that makes people hate ponies...if people just liked the show and didn't make it into a "let's talk about ponies all the time", then people like my boyfriend wouldn't have wallpapers of space marines killing Fluttershy, lol.

That's just what he had, lol. He doesn't even dislike the show really, he's watched it with me a few times, but he's just so tired of people going everywhere talking about it all the time and the dislike has migrated over the show itself, lol. Whenever I call someone out for insulting the show, they always backtrack and say the same thing about the in-your-face attitude of most bronies.

Which is why I recommend ponies are either talked about with people that tolerate them or people that like them, and not around people that dislike them. xD It's better for the fandom if you're quiet about it, tbh.

... Just like with Pokemon, I think I'm lucky to have some people in real life in which I talk about My Little Pony to. There's a friend in particular in which he's a brony, and basically if I want to talk about My Little Pony to someone, he's the person to talk to. My best friend irl is also a MLP fan, and my sister is a down-to-earth fan of it.

Lucky, no one I know likes pokemon or mlp. ;_;

Btw, could I get one of you guys to do me a favor? I'd like to put a MLP mouse cursor in a game I'm making as an easter egg, so if any of you are good with sprites, and can make one for me, that'd be awesome. It needs to be between 16x16 and 32x32 pixels.

Doesn't really matter which pony, as long as it's a fairly major one, like twilight or rainbow dash.

That's one of the problems with the bronies. There have always been adult fans of MLP, but now that there's a male-dominated adult fanbase, Hasbro (and other companies) just now realize it. They pay attention to them, but not to the fans - the female adult fans - who have been around since the franchise's beginning.

It's great that adult fans are finally being recognized. It's just disappointing that "bronies" (since some are trying to get that term to apply to all adult fans, regardless of how they identify) get the recognition, furthering the erasing of the "pegasisters", some who have been around since the early days.

I don't want bronies to disappear completely, but the fandom shouldn't be erasing people who are also a part of it. Or bothering people who don't like ponies.

Or telling Faust some of the things written about her character pony. Boundaries!

There are FiM shirts on Hot Topic's site that don't specifically say "brony", so you'll probably have better luck online with the selection. Not with the price though.

I see similar problems to this happening recently. Some bronies are a pain in the *** as of late and I've met quite a few female fans, who I actually talk to now about the show and other general topics. But, back to the bronies problem. Some are just going beyond their boundaries at the moment and they are causing trouble. I'm sorry, but if you are a fan, I respect that and I'm happy you like the show, too... but you should know common sense and you should be try to pitch the fact that you are a "Brony" on everyone trying to convert them into what you like. Some actually hate me for this, as well. They think that I'm not a true fan if I don't agree with them. Now, why the hell would you think that? I'm a fan of the show, yes. But, I consider myself a "fan" of the show and rarely at times, I'll call myself a "Brony", but that'll depend on the topic at hand. Sigh... Forgive me if I ranted or anything, but the "bronies who think they're the best at everything pony" situation has gotten on my nerves as of late... :(

Edit: What a kick to my upset gut... This made me cry a bit... but, nevertheless... this is a beautiful piece of fan-art.

My friend called me a 'brony' despite the fact that I'm female. I brushed the idea aside, but it shows just how much the term 'brony' is effecting the fans, and how people are starting to use it as a universal term, just as what Astinus said. Luckily, I don't pay attention to the fandom enough to really watch what's happening when it comes to the fandom, but if it's becoming like how it is, I'm glad I'm keeping my love for ponies here, and to the people who I know enjoy MLP as well.

Awww. That is such a gorgeous image. Saddening, but gorgeous nonetheless.

The links don't work. :(

I just found a fairly decent one, but I'd like to see yours too.

Shoot. You can just go to the profile on here and then go to my albums to see them, then.

My albums might be private, as well... I gotta check.

Those ripped sprites reminds me of when I had Luna on my screen. I had to hold back a little squee whenever she would start bouncing, because I found that to be one of the most adorable things I've ever seen. During that time I also had Derpy and Octavia on my screen. Think I might have had them on my screen for a good two-three days, actually.

K, I found them. I really like the flying Rainbow Dash, but they're too big for what I want. =/

I found a good pinkie pie that I think I'm going to use.

Yep! Those are the same sprites used for the Desktop Ponies. xD;
I should turn those on again. o3o
They're pretty fun to have around. :D

Also, with the whole "Brony" thing...
I personally think that the word just refers to fans of the show. It applies to both male and female.
People seem to take it the wrong way, simply because of the fact that it has "Bro" in it.
/hoping nobody takes this in an offensive way, because none is intended :<

EDIT: Oh, and I completely agree with Astinus about the thing with the older fans. Then again, I hear that most of the older fans enjoy G4, like most of us. It also must be irritating, since most bronies dislike the older generations in someway. Must be really depressing for them.

RobotUnicorn October 8th, 2011 9:06 AM

-Favorite Episode: The Cutie Mark Chronicles, no doubt.
- Favorite Main Pony: I like them all!
- Favorite Side Pony: DJ PON-3~!
- About Me: I started watching the show when my sister did (Around early summertime this year) and I absolutley love the series. I get teased about it sometimes, but I honestly don't care. My Little Pony is just too awesome to handle for them.

I don't see it that way at all. It was first created to refer to the male fanbase and that kind of disappoints me because, as was already posted, the whole term on its own is ignoring the female fans just by having "bro" in it. I don't want to be part of a definition that wasn't meant for me in the first place.

When someone asks you how the term "brony" was created, people will tell you it's combination of "bro", referring to males, and the word "pony." When that person asks you why such a word also includes older female fans, you'll just shrug and say that's how it is. Because the female fanbase is apparently not important enough to warrant its own name, we have to stick with the term "brony" which doesn't really fit us to begin with. Plus, the staff of the show even recognized this word as referring to the male fanbase in the song Equestria Girls.

I just don't feel like I, as a female, belong under that definition even if the meaning was altered.

No offense taken, and no offense intended either. This isn't geared at anyone at all; I just wanted to speak up! To each their own :3 In fact, from typing this I realized I'm not even the nickname type. I'd rather just be called a fan of MLP: FiM, nothing more. A female-oriented term doesn't really interest me in any way.

~Ryukaa October 8th, 2011 10:03 AM

Well, I tend to call my sister "bro", or "man" at times. xD;
Dunno if that means anything, haha.

Anyway, now I completely understand. I sorta assumed females just didn't like the term because of "bro". o3o
But yeah, I wouldn't want to be called something of the sort, if there was some fanbase with a majority of girls. So yeah, I understand.
Instead of using "Brony" or "Pegasis" or whatever, some people just call the fanbase "Ponies". xD;
I actually kinda like that.
It's much easier than saying "fans of MLP", or anything. xDD;;

EDIT: Oh, and welcome RobotUnicorn! :D

Sweet Candace October 8th, 2011 1:04 PM

Welcome RobotUnicorn. Welcome to the herd.

I found some My Little Pony fruit snacks while at the store today, but the art was all Gen 3-3.5 and not Gen IV, so I didn't buy it. If it was Generation IV, I would've bought it.

Cura October 8th, 2011 1:38 PM

Welcome to the group, Robo-Comrade. :)
I hope you enjoy the herd and the discussions on here.

Well I agree. "Brony" was NOT COINED from the root word "Brother". In fact it was coined from 4chan's '/b/'. Users of /b/ refer to each other as /b/rothers as a reference to the sub board of 4chan. NOT BASED ON GENDER STATISTICS!

The meaning was never altered, it was just never understood properly.

As such I feel like terms like "Pegasister" are depreciated. If you really MUST use a gender loaded term, just use "Filly" as the Equestria Girls video does.

But I really don't like seeing women set themselves apart from the guys just because of a word...it's just counterproductive to the purpose of the fan community anyway, which is overwhelmingly supportive of all of it's members as well as completely ignorant to things such as gender and more.

To call oneself anything but a "Brony" when being a fan of MLP Gen 4 simply sets you apart from the fanbase, and that really isn't productive. Besides, the word 'Pegasister'? SO UGLEH. If you're using gender based pronouns, just use things like Filly, or Pony if you want to be gender neutral.

Tomorrow is a pretty special day. Well, in our timezone anyway. Who can guess? Anyone? Nobody?

It's the Anniversary for My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. Yep! One whole year since it started and one whole year since Twilight arrived in Ponyville and Luna returned.
So I drew a little picture for the occasion.

Just a topic question.

Has anybody got anything planned for Monday?

Probably planning on watching all Season 1 episodes in a marathon tomorrow.

Fantastic fan-art you found Yoshi-san, as I try to find more Applejack wallpapers but I can only find a few.

And tomorrow will be a day to remember!

- Favorite Episode: Party of One
- Favorite Main Pony: Pinkie Pie and Fluttershy
- Favorite Side Pony: Princess Luna
- About Me: When I first discovered the series, I said to myself "Why on Earth do so many people like this show?" and then I decided to watch an episode to find out why everyone liked it so much, eventually, I became a brony after watching so many episodes.

Nothing much... I'm bored either way. (I'm going to rewatch every episode of the show again for the fourth time.)

Oh, and Masterge77. Welcome to the herd. :)

Lol, it's okay though, thanks. :D

It's all right.

Spoiler:

Looks like there's going to be another gap from Episode 4 (w/ Luna) to Episode 5 of a week.

Sheep October 10th, 2011 1:26 PM

Less than a week for the new episode. I'm excited D:

~Ryukaa October 10th, 2011 9:07 PM

I'm personally looking forward to the remastered opening theme. xD;
Seeing even a bit of change will be fascinating. :DDD

Also... Fwee~
I didn't put that picture here, simply because of it's size. xDD;;
I was actually a part of this collab. I drew that Bon-Bon sitting on a pillar around the right. :D
If any of you guys can be bothered, you can still join in. It's going to be updated until Friday.

Can't wait for the new episode either. It should be an awesome episode and it should live up to expectations.

I really hope this next episode is good, as I would not be happy if the season started out badly.

Well, the "start" of Season 2 is this upcoming episode, but the 2-parter with Discord is the real start of Season 2, and with those episodes, the season started off nicely and should be good for the rest of the season.

As long as this season does not do anything to drive me away from the show, I'm fine.

Melody October 12th, 2011 6:06 AM

Pray tell, what would drive you away?

I don't think there's a whole lot they could do to drive me away...I'm hopelessly hooked on this generation. ♥

I really am looking forward to this season though. Little bit of trivia: Did you know the person who played 'Q' from Star Trek is the same guy who voice acts as Discord? ...I was certainly gobsmacked when I realized that. :D

The only thing that could possibly drive me away is a slight change in the format to the show, such as, for example, getting rid of a much loved character and replacing that character with another character who isn't well liked by the fandom.

I already knew that Discord was played by Q since before the episode aired.
