Cross-Forum Threads
Not like PC and Serebii, but like Culture & Media and Black & White.
I'm wondering if it's possible for a thread to exist simultaneously in two or more places so that people browsing two different forums could both find and post in the same thread. If it were possible it might have a use in holding contests or for widespread feedback from members. Or it might not. I'm curious either way. |
We kind of have those for some of the forums. For example, there are two Harry Potter threads on the forum. The fanclub in Other Clubs and the discussion thread in Culture & Media. No idea why, but that's how it is with the clubs forums. n___n;

I don't think Scarf meant cross-forum topics but quite literally cross-forum threads. For example, if you were browsing Other Clubs and clicked on the Harry Potter topic, you'd be at the same thread that shows up if you clicked on the one in C&M. That's my understanding, anyway.

I know you can copy thread, but I'm pretty sure it won't update the thread information once copied. All we've got is notices, which still get a lot of attention (and most of the time, more attention than actual threads), but as you mentioned for more important things (for example, the thread asking your thoughts about username changes), it would be easier if members could post directly rather than follow a link to a notice, so I do think it could work, juuust idk if it's possible.
