Althalos couldn't even get a word in edge wise before the general left his room. "Well, at least I'm on good, friendly terms with the general, that's gotta count for something." Althalos said to himself, then left his room. He went down to the armory and grabbed another sniper rifle. He attached a spare clip from his own arsenal of incendiary rounds. He had custom made his to not only shoot of napalm on impact, but to also shoot gasoline from the tip in all directions 1.5 seconds after firing. If the bullet made contact before that, not only would the target be dead, regardless of where they were shot, it would also kill or severely burn within a radius of 7 feet. After he retrieved his replacement gun he went up to the Generals office. as he was making his way towards the door, he heard Ali over the intercom. "We've been informed that the PokeRebels are planning a full scale attack on Jubilife. It is vital that we don't lose this city, men. I need 600 of you at the very least to make your way to the basement to be briefed on tactics. Bring your A-game; we do not want a repeat of today." Althalos stood shock still for a moment. Of course everyone knew there would be an attack, but now there was actual news that it was happening. Althalos knocked on the door to the office and entered just as the general had done with him. But just as he opened it, the General walked out. He seemed to be and had good reason, to be in a rush. Althalos followed him quickly. "When you came into my room, you apparently didn't recieve the after acton report. THe Umbreon escaped, and the Zorua had turned into an Umbreon, therefore I grabbed the wrong one again, but the loose end was shot, you can ask any of the soldiers you sent." Althalos stopped for a minute, then asked "How are we going to get 600 people to Jubilife City in the first place? Unless you have access to a batcave filled with transport helicopters, Ospreys and ITV's (Infantry Transport Vehicles), It could take days to walk there, by which time the city could already have been assaulted." Althalos said without breaking his stride, in fact he was walking backwards, looking the general in the eyes. He then waited for his answer. He was pretty sure that the only form of transport they had was a tank, and the apache couldnt really carry anyone but the pilot, so Althalos was curious.
|
Ali stormed through his office door and into the corridor, almost knocking Althalos over in the process. Without even pausing to apologise, he rushed down the corridor, with the sniper in tow. It took Ali a few seconds to realise that he was being talked to.
"...apparently didn't receive the after acton report. The Umbreon escaped, and the Zorua..." Ali didn't wish to hear the rest. He had seen right through Althalos' lie when he heard the report, but right now was not the time to discuss the rights and wrongs of killing Pokemon. Instead, he just nodded and held up his hand as if to say he understood. "How are we going to get 600 people to Jubilife City in the first place? Unless you have access to a batcave filled with transport helicopters, Ospreys and ITV's (Infantry Transport Vehicles), It could take days to walk there, by which time the city could already have been assaulted." Althalos had voiced the one thing that Ali had struggled with. There was a moment of silence. "All I can think to do is get in touch with Skyla. Get him to bring a few Flyboys around. The others would need to take the Apache, and there are a few pilots here as well." While saying this, Ali had pulled out his radio. "Skyla, this is General Ali. Do you hear me?" "Yes boss. No sign of the Commander yet." Skyla's voice crackled through the transceiver. "Thank you Skyla, but never mind about that just yet. How many people from the Air Force are you able to contact in short notice?" "Quite a number. Are we invading the PR base?" "Not exactly. We need to transport 600 men to Jubilife, preferably within the next hour, and we haven't the facilities to do so. Could your friends help us out?" "They certainly can, Ali. I'll send out a transmission to them now, but I'm not sure how fast they can get here." "Well, that's better than nothing, I suppose. I'd still like you to wait for the Commander, but once he emerges, we'd like you to put your hands on deck also." "You got it." "Thank you, Skyla. Keep us posted. Over and out." Ali looked at Althalos and shrugged a little. "It's not much of an option, but it's the best we've got." |
Silence's eyes snapped her eyes open at the sound of the elevator doors closing. She must have blacked out for a moment. Stupid bullet wounds. The elevator being gone she was about to make her way down the stairs when the intercom crackled to life.
"Silence Quickslash, the commander wishes to speak with you," came a voice. Silence growled slightly. So much for going after the human herself. On second thought, this was probably for the best. She wouldn't do to well with two bullets inside her and the wounds still bleeding, even it it wasn't so bad anymore. "I'll be there asap," she replied. She than got an idea and hit the elevator button to make it come up to the top floor. That would slow the HR commander down a bit. The Weavile limped down the stairs to find Hector. |
Jack got in the elevator, but before he could press any button, the elevator moved up.
"What the hell? Oh crapcrapcrapcrapcrap." He said to himself. He had realized that the Weavile had noticed he was missing, and had called the lift. But, he was ready. Pulling out the gun, He loaded it, and remained still. The elevator door opened, and Jack pounced out. He looked around for the Weavile, but could not find him anywhere. "Huh? Where'd he go?" He thought. He saw a trail of blood leading to the stairs. He followed it downstairs, and came to a floor. He didn't quite which one it was, and followed the blood trail silently. He saw the blood lead to a door to some office. He had to take out the Weavile, before he could alert the authorities. Ready with the gun in his hand, Jack kicked the door open and burst in. At first He didn't realize whose office it was. But all was clear when he looked at the Arcanine in the office. "Oh crap. It's the Commanders office..." He thought. |
Althalos couldn't really argue with any of what the general had said. He rushed back down to the armory and put a flamethrower on his sniper and grabbed a .357 Magnum Revolver as well as a combat knife and a bayonet. As soon as Althalos finished his load out, he ran to the air field and sat down by the loading area. He didn't feel the need to go to the basement for the strategy briefing. He knew quite well that he would be sitting on the roof of the TV station, quietly scoping the pokemon as they advanced. "My incendiary rounds will be quite useful if things are going to happen the way I think they are." Althalos thought. He then thought back to his conversation with the Zorua. "Damned pokemon is gettin' inside my head..." Althalos said to himself but couldn't help thinking that he didn't really want to kill anyone except for that Typhlosion. He was only 14, he didn't belong on the battle field. He didn't even belong with a gun unless it was in a video game. He knew he would carry on with the fight, he had to protect his fellow man, he just wished that this whole thing had never started in the first place. If it hadn't, so many lives would never have been lost, and so many kids, such as himself would never had had a gun shoved into their hands and been told to kill what was once their friends. Althalos shook those thoughts form his mind and closed his eyes, waiting for the arrival of the planes.

Khufu walked down the hallway to his office, exhausted. He liked the new commander, Hector, but felt the other PR leaders were biased against him. Dismissing the memory for a while, he turned the doorknob to the room.
As soon as he entered the office, he walked over slowly to his desk. Instantly he knew something was wrong. He heard a faint ticking noise, but couldn't determine what it was coming from. Ignoring it, he scanned the table for his attack plans. He'd spent hours working on them, and was ready to show them to the 600 he had chosen to attack Jubilife. Unable to find it, he shuffled through a stack of papers, and noticed that another paper, with the list of candidates for commander, was missing. Where did they go? They were right here on the desk when I left. In any other situation, Khufu wouldn't have been concerned; this happened to him a lot. But the ticking.... Now it hit him: a HR spy had clearly broken into his office. Khufu was aware that the ticking very well could be a timed bomb, and considering that a spy had most likely been here, that was a very real possibility. I've got to get outta here, he thought desperately. His shoulders had tensed, his teeth gritted, and his breathing deepened. Maybe we can catch the spy before he gets away. But as he turned for the door and broke into a run, the bomb exploded loudly, sending fragments of the room ripping at Khufu's body like shrapnel. The force of the explosion threw Khufu up against the wall out in the corridor, and he sat up, propped against the wall. He looked down at his chest, and gashes were bleeding so hard he feared his fur would be stained. Worse, a sharp pain ran up and down his spine, and Khufu knew how bad that could be. His mouth opened to call for help, but his eyes closed and he drifted off into unconsciousness. |
Ali watched Althalos sprint in the opposite direction; to the armoury no doubt. Being a spy he wasn't much use in the tactical briefing, and he was very much into his high-tech weapons, from what Ali had heard.
Althalos, although tall, didn't look to be much older than fifteen, and the thought of someone so young on the battlefield sent a shiver down Ali's spine. His siblings weren't much younger than him after all. It was harsh for Ali to expect one so young to kill on demand, especially considering that he felt too young himself at seventeen. He made a mental note to cut the kid some slack, but was uncertain as to how many mental notes his brain could hold on to. As Ali neared the basement, he could hear the excited chatter of the soldiers. He entered the room and silence descended on the men. Ali was slightly taken aback by the level intimidation he had on the troops; the majority of people in this room were much older and more experienced, and most hadn't even heard of him. Still, he held is own and walked swiftly to the makeshift podium. "The most of you, I would not have had the privilege of meeting. I am your new General, but we will have time for formalities after our victory. We failed today, men. The building was put onto Red Alert, and still our best efforts weren't sufficient for capturing two trapped PR spies. I sincerely hope you can do better than this when we fight for the people of Jubilife. "But what's done is done, and as we speak, the newly instated PR Commander is instigating an attack on one of our cities. He is unaware that we know this, and hopefully this will hinder his efforts. However, this does not mean we are to take this lightly. It is my solemn duty to remind you that a number of our men were taken out today, and I will not stand for more losses, are we clear?" The crowd murmured in agreement, uncertain on whether the question was rhetorical or not. "Now, Jubilife is much closer to Canalave than it is to Sunyshore, and so they have the advantage of more troops close at hand, as well as faster deployment. However, the people there will not fall easily, and so we have the 'home-turf' advantage, if you will. The plan is to surround the city, ensure that minimum damage is done. This city is not to be lost, under any circumstances. We will advance into stages, according to your Platoons. Your Platoon leaders will run through the logistics with you. "Air Forces are flying in to collect us as we speak. Our best men will be out there today, along with our best armoury. Remember why you joined the Human Republic, make the dream a reality. Safety for our families, Security for our nation. Remember the companions that betrayed you, that killed your friends, that still, to this day, threaten your relatives! Remember that none of us are safe while they still are out of our control. Sinnoh, and the rest of the world, are counting on us today. Don't let them down." Ali walked out of the room, a bitter taste in his mouth. The Lieutenants would explain the strategy, but Ali knew the General was expected to boost moral. Even if it was against his better judgement. |
I wandered aimlessly around the base. Who built this? How? I still hadn't gotten over the fact that they could think, and these questions only served to heighten my shock and fear. A multitude of explanations came to my head, but most disturbing of all was the theory that they used the prisoners as labor. I shuddered. Who knows what they did to them? As far I know, I'm the only free human left. I had gone 3 months without seeing any other human. Today I at least had a grasp of what happened to the rest of humanity. I was probably the only one who could do something about this.
Suddenly, I heard and explosion from a floor up. With no other way as to help me get out of here, I scrammed up the stairs, as the elevator was unavailable. When I got to the source, I saw a Flareon unconscious and bleeding heavily. The explosion looked like it came from a bomb. What the **** is going on here? |
Lydia was running, unaware of the status her partner was currently in. She prayed he wasn't hurt, but the Zorua was lost in her tormented mind patterns. As she was dashing back towards Canalave, she lost complete sense of direction, her mind too focused on the spy she had left behind. Wade was always there for her; but she wasn't now. Guilt was eating her alive. The pokemon made small, mournful cries and sounds while rushing through the dark forest. Why couldn't she have done what was right? Ever? Lydia wanted to help Wade. She wanted him to be safe, protected- obviously something that wasn't going to happen.
"Oh Arceus, why him? Why not me?" the Zorua said to herself. She was slowing down now, and her footsteps had become silent. The city was right ahead of her. Lights illuminated in the darkness, and she trotted towards the PR base. As she approached the structure, an odd, yet intriguing sensation crept around her. Something had changed. Lydia flashed in her blinding red, neon light and jumped into the air with a back flip, her illusion taking over and revealing herself to be a Pidgeot. The air cut through her feathers, pushing her upwards, and as she flapped them the wind sprung her into the air. With little to no effort she caught flight in the atmosphere, gliding her way to the ceiling of the base. Several feet above ground her illusion prematurely shattered, leaving Lydia stunned as she fell. Extending her claws she grabbed onto the edge of a window, her eyes narrowed and breathing rather hard. That was too close. Rather eager to get inside she climbed through the optional entrance and looked around. There were very few pokemon in the room she had entered. Any who were left were guards, keeping the human prisoners in check. What had happened while she was gone? Lydia didn't know, but immediately she began searching through the base. As she ran further upstairs, she came to a scene revealing a human, pokemon, and what seemed to be an attack. She further took a few seconds to examine what had happened- then was shocked back into reality seeing the Flareon unconscious and bleeding. Her anger flared up as she glared intensely at the human, snarling with rage. What had they done to Khufu? Knowing nothing of what had truly happened, she approached the man, extending her claws for a Night Slash. |
Upon reaching the commander's office Silence opened the door and walked in, trying not to limp. She didn't want the new commander to think she was weak. She leaned against the wall and crossed her arms so the Arcanine couldn't see that she was holding her injured side. Before he could say anything she said, "The two spies Khufu sent to Sunnyshore were discovered. I heard it over the HR commander's radio. From the sound of things they were in a tough spot." She knew it was impolite to speak before Hector but she wasn't exactly the most polite pokemon in the world. She was about to go on when the door swung open and she turned to see Jack Spark standing in the door way. Her gaze hardened and ice formed around her hand as she curled it into a fist in preparation of an Ice Punch though stayed where she was and continued to hold her side with her free hand.
|
A loud snarl from behind me sent a shiver up my spine. Oh ****, they found me! OK, remain calm... I looked around, and saw a Zorua with red eyes behind me. My fear and stress had reached a boiling point, and I was sure I can't take much more of what I just had gone through. What is she going to do to me? I don't want to be a prisoner! I don't want to be the subject of irreversible mutilation and unspeakable torture! I gulped. "N-n-nice Z-zorua..." I said, not exactly hiding my fear of her. I put my machete on standby. Death, here I come...
|
"Nice Zorua? Don't try to insult me, let alone take me as a joke. What did you do to the Flareon?" She asked, irritated.
Lydia didn't know the man, but he appeared lost. She wondered if he had a translator on him so he could understand what the hell she was even saying. She sprinted past the human and to Khufu, who was bleeding from head to toe. The pokemon needed medical treatment immediately. The Zorua grabbed him by a tuff of fur and let his body sag onto her own; she hated carrying people. Being crushed by the weight of the Flareon, she tried taking the illusion of him, giving off a spark of light but nothing happening. Lydia didn't have enough energy left. Why did she always have to get stuck in these situations? As she tried to walk her own wound began opening up again. "Oh great..." |
The Zorua walked through me, almost completely ignoring me. I wasn't hurt! Woo! But then I saw the Zorua try to pick up the Flareon, almost failing. Then she bled almost profusely from a wound. I took pity of the Zorua. No one should carry someone like that. I was debating myself if I should do it or not. On one hand, I'm going to be practically a traitor! Look at all those prisoners! On the other hand, I'm the only free human left, it's been 3 months ever since I saw another human. That parachutist is dead for all I know, and maybe they'll release them all if I can be friends with them, and prove that humanity is still kind again. I was frozen in thought. Then I finally decided to help the Zorua. I approached it.
'D-do you need help?" |
Hector was in his office, thinking about the oncoming attack on Jubilife. It had to be well thought out, but before that, it had to be well-organized, and well-manned. Any mistakes could cause all of them to die, horribly. What's more, Hector didn't like to begin planning for an attack when there were clearly spies in his base, and not to mention the leader of the opposition. It was risky. For all he knew, they could have discovered about it. What they needed was a diversion plan, which was what Hector was currently working on. Suddenly, a Weavile walked in. Hector assumed this was Silence.
She limped, or at least he thought so. Hector was about to speak, but Silence beat her to it. "The two spies Khufu sent to Sunnyshore were discovered. I heard it over the HR commander's radio. From the sound of things they were in a tough spot." Hector sighed and nodded. "That may be so, and it is unfortunate, but we have a more pressing issue at the moment involving Jack Sparks at the moment..." Just then, Jack, of all people, burst into his office. "Speak of the devil." Hector saw Silence prepare to strike. "You've got a lot of nerve coming into our base, human. You're either very brave or ver-" Hector was interrupted by a loud explosion resonating from inside the base. Damn it, he thought to himself, his outwards expression calm, though. A bomb? Where was it placed? Hector used the rumbling of the explosion as a distraction to strike swiftly at the human Commander. He noticed he was unarmed as well, which many things more easier. He opened his mouth and slung a Flamethrower at him. Hector hoped whoever was involved in the explosion was alright, but at the moment, he had to bring down Jack. |
Althalos's shot him at a side, and the bullet was scorching hot. Wade, lying on the ground, opened his right eye and looked at Althalos as he spoke to him. He was listening and what he said, confused the shiny umbreon.
"It's been a pleasure partially betraying the HR for two pokemon I don't even know. If you're confused about why I helped you, talk to that Zorua. I don't feel like explaining things over again. Now if you'll excuse me, I'm off to get a new sniper barrel. When he was done, Wade was officially confused. Whose side was he on anyway?! Althalos threw him another berry and Wade bit into the juicy little fruit, his whole body feeling better in seconds. When everybody left, he jumped up and ran into the forest without looking back. If Althalos didn't save him... "I would be dead by now." Wade pointed out, running as fast as he could in the jungle. At least Lydia was safe, and she was probably back in the base already. Looking up in the sky, he saw a Fearow patrolling the area. Judging by its high altitude, he was scouting the area. There was a scouting team in PR, after all. "Scout! Down here!" Wade called, and the Fearow lowered his altitude, banking until he landed right next to him. Without another word Wade jumped onto him, "Jubilife will do. I still have to tell the commander something." |
"NOOOOOOO!!!!!!" Jack wailed, and the Arcanine threw a Flamethrower at him.
He ducked down at the last second, and the fire singed his hair. He patted his head to find hair missing. He was enraged, he loved his hair too much, something which others found weird. "Well, thats what I get for barging into the Commander's Office." He thought. "DAMN YOU, STUPID ARCANINE! I'M GONNA MAKE A FUR COAT OUTTA YA HAIR!" He yelled, and shot wildly at both the Arcanine and the Weavile. |
Ali stood in the middle of the Armoury, rotating slowly. Many of the weapons in here could easily take down a Steelix, and they had projectiles which imitated every element.
As he looked, Ali patted his own gun affectionately. His weapon of choice could fire electrical bolts on a par with Magnezone, and it was the only weapon he could ever imagine being infatuated with. However, he knew that it wouldn't be enough, and so he had come here. He knew a lot of skilled soldiers preferred the power of a Flamethrower, and that water cannons were also very popular with the Lieutenants. Ali also knew that the sniper duties would be well taken care of by Althalos, and so he avoided the rifles. As he looked, Ali rested his thumb on the smooth edge of his blade. The two butterfly knives he kept on the back of his belt were custom made, each with both a smooth and a serrated edge sharp enough to split a hair. He was a dab hand at knife games, and knew that if required, he could kill within seconds. Thankfully, the opportunity had never arisen. Acknowledging that he had been wasting time, Ali picked up a XM25, capable of killing subjects behind obstacles. The intelligent grenade launcher had always appealed to Ali, partially due to its non-lethal setting; he could choose whether to neutralise or kill at the flick of a switch. He made to leave the room when his radio crackled into life. "General, the air force are on their way. Shan't be too long now." "Good man. I hope to see you and the Commander in a fit state soon, Skyla. Any sign?" "Not yet, but he did prepare me for a long wait." Ali remembered what Jack had said about him replacing him as Commander, and suspected that his superior was in trouble. He didn't voice this however, as it would do nothing for morale. "Well, keep a close eye out, as always. If there are no signs of him and we're having difficulty, I'd like you to fly in and help us out at Jubilife. We all know we could do with your skilled hands." "Oh General, you're making me blush." Skyla. Forever the joker. "Over and out." |
"NOOOOO!"
Silence, who had been creeping ever so slowly towards the human, cringed slightly. Did he really have to be so loud? "DAMN YOU, STUPID ARCANINE! I'M GONNA MAKE A FUR COAT OUTTA YA HAIR!" I guess than means yes. As the human started wildly firing, Silence lunged and smashed her Ice punch into his head before positioning herself behind him and knocked him over by kicking him in the leg. This served to make her crumple to the floor clutching her leg she had been shot in as well. Hit with the wrong leg, damn it. |
Jack couldn't even see whether his bullets connected or not. he was face palmed by the stupid Weavile's Ice Punch.
But that wasn't all. Noooo, of course not. He was kicked in the leg too, which caused him to fall. Luckily, his attacker also crumpled to the ground and his hand hit her right on the head. "Serves.....you....right...." Jack said before fainting from the pain. (OOC: All right, you can interrogate me now) |
(I'll take that last post of yours as my wake-up, Arcaray, and I assume we will be taking off and landing in Jubilife in your next post?)
Althalos woke up to the sound of engines roaring in his ears. There were about 20 planes on the landing strip and Althalos assumed there might be more still on their way. None of them were marked with any special signs other than that of the HR, so he climbed into the nearest plane. He walked over to the pilot and saluted. "Id there any rhyme or reason to who gets on these planes?" Althalos shouted over the engine. The pilot nodded his head, saying "There will be a few squads getting on each plane, I don't know who on which, but just go-" The pilot saw Althalos' sniper rifle and stopped mid sentence. "Never mind, you can just ride on this one, the plane is probably gonna be full, so you can sit up here, besides I need a co-pilot." The man yelled back. Althalos gave a thankful nod and sat down i the co-pilots chair. "I've never flown anything besides an RC helicopter before, so I think I'll bee here more for the ride than anything else." Althalos replied to the pilot, who tossed Althalos a head set anyways. Althalos put them on and suddenly he could hear the pilot perfectly other than a slight ringing in his ears. "Well seeing as you're a sniper, you'll probably have a good vantage point. That room back there where all the men will be sitting has an opening floor and there are bomb racks that are currently folded into the ceiling, so keep the headset and you can call in a carpet bomb as a last resort if necessary. I'll be getting my payload into the bomb bay as soon as everybody gets off the plane." The pilot actually seemed pretty proud of himself for being able to have bombs loaded on his plane. Althalos thanked him and waited for the rest of the men to arrive. |
"Lieutenant Shivers, your squad next! Come on, man!" Ali yelled over the roaring of the plane engines. Skyla had done well; as one plane took off another would touch the ground. Hopefully we'll be just as efficient in battle, Ali thought.
"Move, move! Jones, don't play games with me. Get on the damned plane!" Over the sea of helmets, Ali saw the the sniper barrel of Althalos' gun bob up and down before he entered the cockpit of a plane. Ali had planned on waiting until all the troops had been deployed, but it was taking far too long. "Lieutenant Cartwright! I'm going to make a move with Shivers! Send your squad last and ensure maximum efficiency!" Ali climbed into the cockpit of the nearest plane, his voice hoarse from shouting. As he took his seat, the pilot saluted. "General Krista, sir." "Oh, please don't salute. The name's Ali, are you in need of a co-pilot?" Ali was itching to fly again, and the pilot was in no position to say no. "She certainly could use two pairs of hands, Ali." He said, handing him a headset. "You ready to go up?" "When you are, my man." Ali shouted, and the plane took off. |
The man had knelt down in front of her face. She uttered a small growl as a warning, but stopped as she listening to him.
"D-do you need help?" Well, Lydia did need help, but how could she trust him...? Maybe this whole thing was a coincidence? This human didn't seem violent enough to have hurt Khufu, then again hurt any pokemon. Maybe he was lost. "I'll give him a chance" she thought to herself. Slowly she dragged her body out from under the Flareon and held her wound. Blood was slowly coming out, and her side stung as if she had been attacked by a group of Beedrills just a few moments ago. She felt sorry for herself. Lydia rubbed her head on her injured General. If only she had the power to heal others like Wade. Thinking about it made her worry even more about her partner. She was sure he was safe but how would he feel knowing she just abandoned him like that...? Her thoughts were interrupted as the Zorua picked up some noises. First some clicking, then a huge 'thump'. What was going on? Were there more humans here? |
The Zorua growled at me, then stopped as I spoke to her. She was nice! She didn't try to maul me! Maybe I can trust her! Maybe even there's still a little bit of kindness and humanity in all of us! I picked her and her friend up, trying to make them as comfortable as possible. They were bleeding profusely. I wonder if she can understand me... Well, here goes nothing. I may be the last free human left, so there's not a lot I can do...
"So, where do you want to go? Or should I try to get you some medicine for your friend and you?" I'm pretty sure I can't understand her, but maybe she can find a way to help me know what she wants. |
Althalos was somewhat excited as the plane took off. He had never been in a plane (His family had taken a ferry to get from Kanto to Sinnoh), much less the cockpit of one. When they finally reached cruising altitude, Althalos thought the country looked so small. He could still see the coast but Mt. Coronet was off straight in front of them too. It looked like a large black blemish in the planet from so high up. Althalos enjoyed looking at all the features but soon grew tired. He hadn't slept in a while and with the headset on, the plane was quiet enough and he soon fell asleep.
Althalos woke up about an hour later as they touched down at Jubilife due to the bouncing as the plane and ground made contact. He thanked the pilot and rested the headset around his neck so that he would be able to call in the carpet bomb if necessary. When Althalos opened the door into the hull of the plane, he saw at least 100 men, crammed and packed into the plane at every angle, he even thought he saw one man laying on top of the crowd, and besides being crammed, it was hot and smelled like sweat. Althalos made his way to the back of the plane as fast as he could when the doors finally opened. when he stepped out it was like he was breathing into a container of pure oxygen and the smell quickly dissipated from his nostrils. He didn't wait for anyone else and immediately made his way to the TV station, but required help a few times because he lost sight of it from the high buildings. One thing he noticed though, when he first entered the city, was that the trainers school was completely boarded up and a large sign on the front read "condemned." "It's a pity, quite a few people, including all the Nurse Joy's lost their jobs." Althalos thought. By the time he made it to the building, he had gotten lost three times, almost mugged four, and asked by multiple ex-trainers who were now broke, for money; the city was on one really long flush down the crapper. Althalos noticed that the most up-kept buildings was the TV station and once he was on the correct street, he couldn't miss it. People gave him looks when they noticed that someone had walked in with a sniper, and quite a few looked at him with pity when they noticed how young he was. He ignored the stares and made his way to the elevator as fast as he could. The elevator didn't stop at all on the way up and there was no one on the roof. He was glad, and somewhat scared, that he was alone with his thoughts. He set his stuff down behind one of the big AC blocks on the roof and, expecting that he might be there a few days, went down to streets to see if soldier had brought a spare sleeping bag. Although it took him a while, Althalos did find a sleeping bag and then made his way back up to the roof. He grabbed a motion detector from his pack and set it next to the elevator door then grabbed his sniper, turned on the safety and watched the rest of the day go by. As people would pass by on the street, he would scope them and make "pow" noises since he had nothing better to do. Soon though, it got dark, and he stayed awake as long as possible, but eventually he made his way towards the sleeping bag and let unconsciousness take hold. |
The man picked Lydia up by surprise- literally. She was very light and fluffy, maybe the Flareon not as much but still small. She knew the man was doing this as a sign of affection, but in the Zorua's mind it was unusual being held. No human had ever really picked up and held her before. Usually if anyone touched her they would grab onto her tail, or try to harm her through other physical abuse. If she wasn't bleeding on him the scene might have looked a little cute.
Lydia tried focusing her mind to use telepathy. "Medicine. Berry Power, Hyper Potions, anything..." She began feeling hot. Her vision was now blurred, and the Zorua's strength had been completely drained. She couldn't even cry out as her vision went from blurred to black, giving out in the human's arms along with the Flareon. |
Wade
Jubilife City, Poketech tower roof "On top of the poketech tower, please." Wade commanded, and the Fearow dived towards the tower below. He did a perfect landing, and tilted his body to one side so Wade could get off without jumping. Wade slid off his body and gave him a thankful salute. The Fearow took off and disappeared once again, heading North this time. Walking to the edge of the roof, Wade could see the whole Jubilife City from here. He looked down and he frowned as he saw HR troops. What were they doing here? Careful not to be discovered, he walked to the other side of the roof and glanced at the army once again. There was another tower - the TV tower, and it was located right next to the poketech tower. He didn't see Althalos there, however. 'I better tell the commander about this." Wade murmured, then his eyes widened as a soldier spotted him as he looked upwards. Wade backed off and gulped, "I've been spotted." Taking a deep breath he hid behind an air-conditioner block. He was trapped. |
Hector Arcturus
PR HQ Hector walked cautiously towards the downed Commander of the HR. He couldn't believe he was right in front of him. He walked over to Silence and helped her up. He then spoke. "Tie him up. Make sure this time, we take ALL of his weapons. Check his boots too. Also, call in to see about that explosion that happened earlier. I want to know what caused it, where it was, and especially if anyone was injured." Hector looked back at Jack before going up to the Comm next to his desk. He pressed it with his paw and spoke. "Get me two interrogators up here, as well as a few..." He stopped to ponder the correct words, "...helpful devices for questioning.". To think that Hector was this close to the leader of the opposition. He debated on what to do with him. He could always kill him, but that wouldn't help them in the long run, only perhaps in support. Hector was certain they would find someone else to take his place. But having him captured would be an even more crippling blow to them. They would be sure if he was dead or alive, and confusion among leadership could be exploited. This was just one theory, but nevertheless, having Jack in their custody was a good thing. |
The plane touched down on the outskirts of Jubilife, and the exhilarating feeling Ali had during flight drained from him to make room for anxiety for the battle ahead. He thanked the pilot, clapping him on the back, before climbing out of the cockpit. The man was a good flyer, and Ali hoped he would choose to stick around to help them with the aero-attacks.
Ali took out his radio immediately. "Lieutenants, take your squads to your designated stations, if you please. If you come across any civilians, highly recommend an urgent holiday. We didn't have the time to evacuate an entire city, but there's nothing stopping us from getting some out now." Lt. Shivers approached Ali outside the plane, saluting. "My Platoon is situated outside the city, and so I'll be remaining here, sir." "Good, good." Ali had only ordered half of his men into the city at first. The rest would come in for a second wave of attack, as well as preventing entrance into the city from the surrounding routes. "Uhm, at ease. And don't call me sir. Good luck, Lieutenant." Ali walked into the city, his XM25 resting in the crook of his arm. He hadn't been to Jubilife since the revolution began, and oh how the mighty city had fallen. The sidewalks were lined with trash and many of the marts and businesses were closed down. The TV station looked bare without its satellite, and the once glorious buildings were shabby, run down and boarded up in some cases. Graffiti lined the walls as young Poketrainers had found themselves without purpose, and a few shabby dressed people lurked in the allies, begging for money or drinking excessively to forget their losses. Ali sat on a vandalised bench, devastated at the city's decrepit state. To the people here, this city had already been lost. Ali rotated his head on his shoulders a little, as he did when he was tense. Now there was nothing left to do but wait for the signal from their eye in the sky. |
Althalos woke up the next morning to mostly quiet. The soldiers were already up, but they were trying to be as quiet as possible due to the sleeping city. Althalos stretched and looked around. Nothing had changed really and he looked over the edge to see a small group of soldiers rushing into the Poketch building. He then noticed a small, dark shape run behind an AC unit. He grabbed his sniper and turned on the infrared and looked down the scope; it was the Umbreon again. Althalos got as close as he could to the other building as he could and leaned over just enough so as not to be seen, but so the Umbreon could hear him. "Hey!" he whispered as loudly as he could. "What in the hell are you doing here?" Althalos asked urgently. He looked at the distance between the two buildings. They were about the same height and close enough that if the pokemon got a running start that Althalos might be able to catch him. "Try and jump it!" Althalos voiced his thoughts into an order. "I'll catch you if you fall short, and if you still don't trust me, well let's put it this way, would you rather be captured and shot, or have a quick painless death on impact with the ground?"
(You'd better make it Aura! Either that, or you can take control of Althalos for a catch.) |
Silence somewhat hesitantly took the paw offered to her and pulled herself to her feet.
"Tie him up. Make sure this time, we take ALL of his weapons. Check his boots too. Also, call in to see about that explosion that happened earlier. I want to know what caused it, where it was, and especially if anyone was injured," said Hector. She nodded and got a length of rope out to tie his hands with as well as another piece of rope to tie his feet. She tied his hands as tightly as she could but left about a foot of rope between his feet so he would be able to walk but not run. Once he was securely tied, she checked him over once more for weapons. She pulled his boots off, checked his gloves, and checked another other possible hiding spot for a weapon. When she was done she picked up what she had found and put it on Hector's desk, not sure what else to do with it. The Weavile than turned and left the office without a word. Silence pressed a button and leaned against the wall as she waited for the elevator to come down. Upon hearing the "ding" that meant the elevator was at her floor, she entered and pushed the button for the floor to the general's room. It sounded as if the explosion had come from somewhere around there so that was the most likely area for it to be. Any smart enemy would want to take down someone important or at least destroy any files they might have. She walked out of the elevator and looked down the hall to see a door blasted off its hinges and soot that had made its way out of the room. What made her eyes narrow, though, was the man standing there holding a Flareon and shiny Zorua in his arms. Silence's claws glowed black and she advanced on the human. She tried to be as silent as possible but her leg was hindering her and she couldn't help the clicking sound it made when it hit the floor. Giving up on the silent act, she made her way as quickly as possible towards the man, keeping her Night Slash ready. |
Jeff Bennings
Canalave City PokeRebel base "Medi...ne. Berry Po..., Hyper P..ions, anything..." The extremely garbled words came into my mind. She was using telepathy? I always wondered how a good number of Pokemon could use telepathy to communicate while we couldn't. It's a bit unfair in my opinion. Oh right, the profusely bleeding Zorua and Flareon. I carried them down the hall, trying to find a first aid kit. It took sometime before I did find one. As I walked through the rooms, I heard a "Click, Click, Click" sound following me, getting louder and louder. I finally looked behind to see... A Weavile. I remembered her as the one that killed the parachutist. Oh ****, I'm done for... I prayed that the Zorua could communicate with the Weavile and clear things up. She probably still wants my head on a silver platter anyway. |
Wade
Jubilife City Poketech Tower Roof Wade's heartbeat went faster and faster as he saw the HR troops storming into the building from below, and he was bound to get caught. Why didn't he go back to Base?! He wanted to gather some more information, but he didn't know he was getting into this kind of trouble. "Why did I have to be so greedy?!" Wade banged his head against the air-conditioning box, then he took a deep breath, "Stay calm, Wade, stay calm. Hide your emotions...hide it!!!" He shouted out loud to release his anger and frustration, then stayed quiet, trying to think of a way to escape. "Hey!" a voice came from the TV tower, and it sounded familiar "What in the hell are you doing here?" Wade looked and his eyes widened. Althalos? What was this, a spying contest?! One - he couldn't really trust Althalos yet. Two - Even if he got there, what would Althalos do? He had to listen to orders or he'll be fired. It was probably a trick. Wade looked at him and shook his head, then ran to the other side of the building, hiding in a little corner, hoping that the troops couldn't see him when they arrive. "If I'm going down, I'm going down with a fight." |
Althalos Fizen
Jubilife City Roof of the TV station The Umbreon ran to the other side of the building to hide. "well, if the stubborn bastard's not gonna let me help him, he can just sit there. As long as I don't have to kill him." Althalos thought and left the edge of the building and sat down on his sleeping bag. He found a large flint stone nearby and started sharpening the large combat knife he had gotten from the armory. He checked it by setting the blade on his arm. The blade was so sharp that it drew a little blood just from it's own weight. Althalos then went about dulling the tip and balanced it on the tip of his finger. he tossed it into the air, end over end, and caught it by the hilt. He heard voices coming from the other building, and being too lazy to actually get up at the moment, he strained his neck to see what was happening. "How are they not seeing that Umbreon yet?" Althalos said to himself. Then he heard one of the men talking. "Here little Umbreon, we just want to interrogate you, then when you're done, we're gonna kill you," the soldier laughed. "Dumbass jar heads," Althalos muttered. He picked up his radio but hesitated for a moment. "As long as I don't have to kill him." Althalos uneasily reminded himself, then radioed in. "The Umbreon has been spotted on top of the Poketch tower. There are currently a few soldiers on the roof already. I'll tranquilize him from my position, Althalos out." He put away his radio and put in a clip of tranquilizer darts then walked over to the edge and took aim. "Sorry, but you didn't jump." Althalos said and pulled the trigger. The dart stuck out of the pokemon's exposed leg and he looked up form his scope as the pokemon collapsed. He gave the soldiers a thumbs up and watched one of them violently pick up the pokemon and take him to the general. Althalos went back to his sleeping bag, pulled out his radio and called into the general, "The Umbreon has been neutralized and the previously mentioned jar heads are bringing him down to you right now." Althalos the set his rifle on his lap and started to polish the barrel. "I told him to jump across. This is his own fault." Althalos reminded himself, but couldn't help feeling guilty that he had taken away the pokemon's fighting chance, even if it spared the lives of the idiots with the assault rifles. |
Jack Spark
Canalave City Pokerebels Base, Commanders Office Jack woke up from his slumber, tied up hard and tight. "Ow, that stings..." he thought. He looked up to see all his weapons had been taken and dumped on the Commander's Table. The Weavile had also left. Jack tried to move, but the pain was too immense. He lay back down, and breathed hard. The PR were going to interrogate him, no doubt. He had no idea what he should do. He looked at Hector, sitting at his desk. "Hey, Hector, what'dya want? Probably, a biscuit of something?" |
Luke Van Eyla
Canalave City PR HQ Beep!! Static burbled out from the line as Luke picked up the incoming message. "Luke Van Eyla, Vanillite, Member of the PokeRebel. Is that right?" "Urh...yes?" Luke raised his eyebrows to the voice. "It seems that our great leader has given orders for someone to interrogate." Stifling a yawn, the Vanillite replied, "What, me? Sure, who will I be interrogating?" A tiny grin slowly crept onto his face. Minutes later, the line was cut. All Luke got was a sly "You'll see." He drifted out of his quarters and proceeded to take the lift up to the Commander's office. The corridors seemed unusually calm and he entered the elevator. On the way up, Luke suddenly had a brainwave and in less than a few minutes, he had churned up a broth of thick snow inside the elevator. Whoever that was unlucky to take the next ride, would do it like one in an avalanche. The Vanillite beamed at this thought and he brisked out of the doors with sheer joy. Stopping right before the door of the Commander's office, Luke whistled out a thin shaft of chilly air right beneath the gap of the door. Then, using one of his signature toys, Luke's wisp of snowy air transformed into plates of steel. He then levitated them to clatter against the door, and made a knocking sound. Luke then waited for the reply to come in, while sucking on a vanilla-flavoured snowball. (OOC: Hector may bunny Luke in the conversation to tell him what he's supposed to do. Then I shall take in my honor to INTERROGATE the quarry. Mwahahahaha~) |
Hector Arcturus
Canalave City PokeRebels Base, Commander's Office Hector watched Silence quietly nodded and proceed outwards to find the interrogators and see to that explosion. In meantime, Hector looked over Jack and growled a bit. He had developed quite a hate for humans. His life with them was once pleasant, but that was so long ago now, and it ended terribly. He promised he would make them pay as the Commander, and he intends to deliver. He suddenly realized Jack was waking up. He eyed him for a moment, not speaking, and suddenly Jack spoke. "Hey, Hector, what'dya want? Probably, a biscuit of something?" Hector didn't say anything at first. He was choosing his words carefully, and also contemplating how he knew his name. He put two and two together, and figured Jack must have been the one to place the bomb in his base. He hoped no one was hurt by it. Hector wasn't bothered by Jack's insult, but found him arrogant. In a straight expression, Hector spoke. "So you're Jack Sparks, leader of the opposition." Hector paced in front of him. He wanted to see what kind of person Jack was before the interrogators arrived. "I must say it was a daring thing to break into this base. You are either very brave or very ignorant. But no matter. Your foolishness got you caught, and now you belong to us. As well as any information you may or may not have. Your life is forfeit. And soon, your companions will all die." He heard a knocked at the door. "Speaking of which, hear come the interrogators now..." Hector walked up and opened the door with his paw, leading the Pokemon in. It was a Vanillite. "I'll leave you too it, then." Hector said, stepping to the side. He was curious as to the ways he would interrogate Jack. (I'm not gonna bunny you, you figure it out!) |
Jack Spark
Canalave City PR Base, Commander's Office Hector started pacing in front of him. He was saying something, but Jack's ears were ringing, due to the Ice Punch he had withstood. "Your foolishness got you caught, and now you belong to us." He heard Hector saying. "Heh, heh heh.....HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!" He laughed. "Hector, its you who are foolish. I injured your Weavile, blew up your General's office, and was actually caught because of me barging into your office? I even attacked you, right now, didn't I? Your Security head needs to be fired." He said, formulating a plan. He knew taunting the Commander would be a bad idea, and would get him into deep trouble, but he knew what to do when being interrogated. "And, anyways, the biggest foolishness of yours is this! You didn't try any tests on me, you don't even know that the person tied in front of you is not Jack, but a spy from the HR!" He yelled. And then he saw the interrogator enter the office. It was a Vanilite. "WAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! YOU ARE LETTING A VANILLITE INTERRROGATE ME?! LOOK AT THE PUNY BABY!! HEY VANILLITE, YOU WANT A BISCUIT TOO?" He yelled, trying to get on the interrogators nerves. |
Luke Van Eyla
Canalave City PokeRebels Base, Commander's Office "Heh, heh heh.....HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!" Luke could hear the despicable fat human laughed. LAUGHED. "Hector, its you who are foolish. I injured your Weavile, blew up your General's office, and was actually caught because of me barging into your office? I even attacked you, right now, didn't I? Your Security head needs to be fired." Save that for the interrogation, sweetie. "And, anyways, the biggest foolishness of yours is this! You didn't try any tests on me, you don't even know that the person tied in front of you is not Jack, but a spy from the HR!" He yelled. Hector, the Commander, then walked out of the door, motioning Luke to enter the room and go ahead. "WAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! YOU ARE LETTING A VANILLITE INTERRROGATE ME?! LOOK AT THE PUNY BABY!! HEY VANILLITE, YOU WANT A BISCUIT TOO?" Clearly, a dumb block of mud. Yucks. Ever mention how I hated humans with their dust-caked drills and machinery? Luke cleared his throat audibly and spat the chewed ball of snow at the knees of the human Jack. "Jack Sparks, Human Republic, Leader. No?" He began in an edgy voice that used to make every in the Lake Acuity cringed when he took on that persona. "So you said that you're a spy from the HR. Well well, if you're a spy, then I don't know what else I can name you.... Hmm? A pompous old tart? Or merely a klutz? You know something, you could be a Buneary with pink gay puffs and little princess skirts." The Vanillite hovered right up to Jack's face and snarled, "Or just stick to being crucified like Britney Spears, yah?" Luke spun, facing his back to the clump of nothingness and speculated in the air with cold snow, a chocolate scoop of cream appeared out of nowhere but only Pokemon knew where. Take a bite out of this. Luke turned back and offered the ice cream to the disgusting human. He just left the treat suspended in mid-air. Luke then heaved a sigh that reduced the office to a negating 50 degrees. "So, wise guy, just what were you thinking of breaking into HQ here? We know you love us but we're not pets anymore....." He paused before hissing. "Punk..." |
Jack Spark
Canalave City PokeRebels Base, Commander's Office Jack looked at the Vanillite. It thought it was cool as ice. It hovered over to him and spat snow at his knees. "Ugh! I'm polluted! A Pokemon touched me!" He cried. The Pokemon then went on to say some gibberish he couldn't understand. "Listen, if you're here to tell me about your weird fashion, I'd rather go to my Base and listen to the radio." He said. Then the Pokemon offered him some ice cream. "Nah, I prefer the ice cream at home. This looks like crap anyways." he answered. "So, wise guy, just what were you thinking of breaking into HQ here? We know you love us but we're not pets anymore....." The Vanillite said. "Well, I sure wasn't thinking about you, sweetheart. I was probably thinking about doing a review of the security here. And I found out it is poor. Anyways, keeping you as a pet? You give me goosebumbs." That's when a thought struck his mind. He remembered the papers he had stolen from Khufu's office, and decided to use them. "I also came here to review he political situation here...and its much more serious than I thought. I found out one thing...your General, Khufu, isn't as innocent as he seems. Take a look at the paper on your table, Hector. You'll see, that Khufu himself is a valid candidate for Commander. You were a last minute addition. If Dracus was out of the way, then Khufu would automatically become the Commander. Do you understand, Hector? Dracus was murdered, and he was beating up Khufu, do you remember?" He said, in a serious tone. |
Luke Van Eyla
Canalave City PokeRebels Base, Commander's Office "Listen, if you're here to tell me about your weird fashion, I'd rather go to my Base and listen to the radio." "Haha, funny you are." Grumbled Luke, getting as bored as hell of fire. "I also came here to review the political situation here...and its much more serious than I thought. Perking his eyes up, Luke glanced at Hector who was loitering outside. "What in the bane of Arceus do you think you are?? Trying to cause rife amongst Pokemon? Well, I'm sorry we're brothers in arms unlike you human dirt that war against each other, for what? For lust and money!!" Luke glared at Jack and fired a chunk of ice at the tied-up moron. Freezing the air around him, the Vanillite created a berg at the foot of the HR leader. "If you dare to lie, I'll frost you to a cold crispy nacho." Luke hissed, his eyes turning a dark cold gaze. |
Lydia could hear the sounds from the door. Vibrations from the ground told her it was a pokemon, but she wasn't sure. She couldn't move, nor could she see. The poor Zorua was having trouble even communicating, to the human, yet alone the unknown pokemon also in the room. Lydia was positive the pokemon was about to attack her new friend, just as she almost had. She gathered her strength and managed to blather out a few words.
"D-don't...attack" she tried crying out, but her voice was so tiny the Zorua had no idea if her demand had even be heard. Could the human protect himself if she couldn't? |
"What in the bane of Arceus do you think you are?? Trying to cause rife amongst Pokemon? Well, I'm sorry we're brothers in arms unlike you human dirt that war against each other, for what? For lust and money!!" The little Vanillite sure had a voice.
Jack was then hit by a chunk of ice. He cried out, "That Weavile was stronger than you even when it was shot." "If you dare to lie, I'll frost you to a cold crispy nacho." "You think I'm lying? Check the paper. Sweetheart, if you think Pokemon are that innocent, you need to wake up." Jack said calmly. |
Luke Van Eyla
Canalave City PokeRebels Base, Commander's Office "That Weavile was stronger than you even when it was shot." Well, he ai't the one interrogating you, imp! "You think I'm lying? Check the paper. Sweetheart, if you think Pokemon are that innocent, you need to wake up." "Well, if you think Jubilife is so defended, let me tell YOU that your people are going down. And I have proof, I was just wondering such a leader like you would even care about that ruined city. Well, I'm not surprised at your negligence. If I were you, I'll just covered Jubilife in a blizzard and rename it to Jubideath. Heheheh..." Luke made a layer of frost on the ropes that bound his victim. He then proceeded to lift a bucket of cold water above the human Jack. |
"Well, if you think Jubilife is so defended, let me tell YOU that your people are going down. And I have proof, I was just wondering such a leader like you would even care about that ruined city. Well, I'm not surprised at your negligence. If I were you, I'll just covered Jubilife in a blizzard and rename it to Jubideath. Heheheh..."
"Wahahahahahahaha! Do you think we wouldn't have known about that? There's already a huge army on the way there!" The Vanillite then froze his ropes and poured a bucket of cold water on his head. Jack shivered, but refused to lay down. "Don't try to ignore the question, little Vanillite. I know you suspect Khufu. If you want, I'll stay down here, but you need to check that paper, if you value the life of your Commander." He said. |
Ali Krista
Jubilife City Streets Ali looked up at the abandoned school and sighed. All those young trainers being betrayed, some even killed, by their trusted partners. The thought chilled him to the bone. A young man hurried by with a suitcase, nodding to Ali as he went. Ali nodded back, glad that the news of the urgent evacuation was spreading. He had told anyone who would listen that it was a brilliant time for a spontaneous holiday, and even offered some a the services of the Air Force for a quick getaway. He was bored of waiting now, and his thoughts of the civilians were eating him up. Just as he began to wonder if any Pokemon were going to turn up, his radio crackled into life, and the muffled voice of Althalos penetrated the still air. "The Umbreon has been spotted on top of the Poketch tower. There are currently a few soldiers on the roof already. I'll tranquilize him from my position, Althalos out." The message had been sent to all troops in action, and so Ali didn't reply. Instead, he slowly walked towards Poketch, his gun at the ready. He wouldn't put it past Khufu to attempt an ambush, and he wasn't about to get outsmarted. "The Umbreon has been neutralized and the previously mentioned jar heads are bringing him down to you right now." Althalos said, this time only to Ali. Man, that had been fast. "Great job, Althalos. I'll be there in five." He walked to the building, and waited at its foot until the men appeared. Sure enough, they were carrying an unconscious shiny Umbreon. Its fur was just like the one that had been seen at every crime scene at the base. Ali approached the Pokemon cautiously, gun raised. He ran his fingers through the all-too-familiar fur, tilting its head to check its eyes for consciousness. "Well done men. What Squad are you from?" "Uhh..." Came the reply. Wow, they were jarheads. "We're with Lieutenant Chapman." "Okay, so you're on the outskirts. Take the prisoner to Chapman, and tell him to guard it with his best men, you hear me? This one isn't to escape again." "Yes sir." "We want it alive, but the Umbreon needn't know that." "Yes sir." "Well, what are you waiting for? Get going." "Yes sir." The men walked off, and Ali was happy that at least one thing had gone his way today. With a slightly elevated feeling of hope, he went back to patrolling the streets. |
Silence Quickslash
Canalave City PokeRebel Base "D-don't... attack." Silence almost didn't hear the faint cry from the Zorua. She blinked and stared at Lydia in surprise than growled and let the dark glow fade from her claws. Lydia was a spy and therefore higher ranked than the Weavile. If she thought the man was to be trusted, Silence was going to have to live with it, even if she did want to cut him to pieces. Still, she wasn't about to trust him with the PR general and a one of their spies so she determined she would follow him until she was sure the two pokemon he was holding would be safe. |
Jeff Bennings
Canalave City PokeRebel Base I saw the Weavile withdraw her claws, still looking like she'd mince me if she has the chance. I shivered at the thought. I continued on my way, eventually finding a kit with a hyper potion ans some bandages. I put the Flareon and Zorua down. Well, there's only enough Hyper Potion for one Pokemon. I decided to use it on the Flareon, the apparently more badly injured. Apparently I was in good luck, because there was enough to use on the Zorua as a disinfectant. OK, remember what they taught you in first aid... I sprayed the Hyper Potion on the Zorua as a disinfectant. That should keep it safe from infection. Then I applied the Bandages around her. When I was don, she looked like a hospital patient. I was always a bit jealous about how a Center could heal injured Pokemon in seconds while we humans had to spend a few day or weeks in a hospital. Well anyway, after a few moments the Flareon should be stabilized and the Zorua should be up and able to walk in a few minutes. I felt a little proud of myself for helping these two. Potential enemies turned potential allies. Maybe things were getting better after all... |
Lydia
Canalave City Poke'Rebel Base Her bleeding was slowing down due to the bandages around her side. Lydia began to cool down, her breathes becoming more deep and stable. Still, the little pokemon was too exhausted to move. Well, she could, but she was lazy. "Heheh, sorry I kept you from a battle Silence." she giggled out, hoping she didn't offend the Weavile with her comment. "What should we do with the human?" she asked the member. This time she was using telepathy so Jeff couldn't hear their conversation. Lydia didn't know what to do with him. Though it might not have been justified to take him as prisoner, what use would a human be in the Poke'Rebel Base? Then again, what side was he on anyways? Maybe she was being too trustworthy of him? Too many questions. She laid her head down and curled up as the Flareon beside her began healing. It soothed her to know pain was being relieved from her dear General. |
Silence
Canalave City PokeRebel Base "Sorry I kept you from a battle, Silence," Lydia giggled. "What should we do with the human?" The Zorua was using telepathy now, probably so the human wouldn't hear. "If it was up to me, I'd kill him," She thought, hoping the Lydia could hear her thoughts or something seeing as she couldn't use telepathy, than added reluctantly, "but I guess he doesn't really deserve that after helping you and the general. I don't really care what happens to him as long as he doesn't cause any trouble for us. Unless you have another idea, I suggest we let the commander decide what to do with him. If you tell him that the human helped you, I'm sure he'll show some mercy. |
Luke Van Eyla
Canalave City PR HQ, Commander's Office "Wahahahahahahaha! Do you think we wouldn't have known about that? There's already a huge army on the way there!" "Just to let you know, Jubilife has several weakpoints, in my honest opinion. According to the structure of the city, a week-long ambush would set its inhabitants off plus with a tight curfew caused by us Pokemon, we'll disrupt living there AND since we come with an artillery to smash, we could even blaze the whole city." The Vanillite took a deep breath before lecturing on, "I'd assume a cretin like you wuoldn't understand a thing I say. Your border defense sucks, and no army is gonna back it up. Unless you get your buildings right." To press his point, Luke casted a cloud of mist in the air and shaped it into a map of the city. "Look there, an easy distraction or a smoke bomb can reveal this to be the best refuge for external forces. Plus the alleys behind the TV centre provides a shield for our local troops of chemical warfare, and you nincompoops won't even tell. From the north, lies the Wayward Cavern, if the citizens were to be driven out, they can't escape without getting lost or mutineered in that maze. Cutting of reinforcements is a doable feat, just use a Whirlwind or a short Signal Beam would work and down your electricity goes. Poliwhirls and Simipours are excellent flooders, we can clog those drains before you could recite my great-grand aunt's full name. Trust me, it's quite a mouthful." Luke snorted, faking sheepishness as he stealthily decreased the room's temperature to lower than -100. The windows started to be layered with ice cracks and foggy watermarks appeared over the glass. "Don't try to ignore the question, little Vanillite. I know you suspect Khufu. If you want, I'll stay down here, but you need to check that paper, if you value the life of your Commander." Coldly, the Vanillite countered, "What I'm more worry about is that humans can try to sabotage and create strife amongst Pokemon to weaken our unity in strength." Trying a different style, Luke floated up to the ceiling whilst looking down on Jack. "In medieval times, captives from enemy states would be tortured till they spill like MooMoo Milk. A unique stratagem in which Pokemon have learnt for our benefits, is the Water Dripping method. Luke started to encased his victim in a rigid slab of ice, like a coffin and then caused it to lie flat in suspension. Using the same bucket, he carved out a small hole to allow only a drop of cold water to flow out every second. He then drifted it right above Jack's forehead and let it run. Luke then started on his interrogation. "Now, tell me. Are you just a one-man-band or do you love humans as comrades?" |
Jack Spark
Canalave City PR Base, Commander's Office The little Vanillite went on lecturing him about Jubilife's weak points. "Tell me, are you actually this stupid that you are telling me about your strategy? Really dumb. Anyways, looking at your size, I just know that your brain is probably the size of a pea." Jack said. The Vanillite then said, "What I'm more worry about is that humans can try to sabotage and create strife amongst Pokemon to weaken our unity in strength." Jack sighed and said, "Really, blame yourself when Hector there has a bullet in his head himself." The Vanillite froze him again, and Jack thought, "Well, I've been frozen enough times today already." But Jack then felt something, or rather, didn't feel something, and that was his right arm. "Wha-what's going on?! I can't feel my hand!" He thought. That's when it struck him, his hand was frostbitten. It had to be cut off. Jack let out a scream so loud, it echoed down the hallways of the PR Base. "Now, tell me. Are you just a one-man-band or do you love humans as comrades?" "I love humans as comrades, unlike you...freaks...." He said, before passing out. |
A very Smart and witty soldier (imma call him richard, cause I assume the lieutenant wont interrogate him)
Jubilife City Outskirts A group of soldiers approached Richard with the passed out Umbreon in hand. Richard pulled his cigarette out of his mouth and blew the smoke into the younger mans face. "Gimme 'dat thing!" Richard ordered and grabbed the black pokemon from the hands of the soldier and plucked the dart out of his leg. He tossed the pokemon to the black top street and kicked it, waking him up from the sedative. While he was still weak he grabbed a rope from a nearby pile of crates and tied up the Umbreon nice and tight. "You got a lot of nerve, comin' here, boy!" Richard laughed at the pokemon, struggling now to get out of the ropes that were completely wrapped around him so that he looked like a mummy other than his head. Richard gave him a once over than extinguished his cigarette on the pokemon's cheek, leaving a patch of smoldering fur and blackened skin. "Now, if you'd kindly tell me, when in the hell is your army gonna get here, why the hell you came here," Richard thought for a moment, "and what kind of f***ing information do you want?" Richard asked, and before the pokemon could even open his mouth, he slapped the pokemon clean across the face. "And I suggest you hurry it up, because my pistol, Ol' Bessy, ain't been used in a while, and I'm itchin' to kill somethin'." |
Wade
Jubilife City Outskirts Where am I? In his unconsciousness, Wade could feel himself being tossed and thrown around like he was a little teddy bear. When he was about to come to his senses, he tried moving his hands, but when he opened his eyes, he saw himself all tied up. Wade struggled, but he couldn't, since he was tied by a large number of ropes, starting from neck down. He tried to nibble through the rope with his teeth, and succeeded with the nearest one, but there were too many ropes, and he couldn't break through all of them. He was busy biting the ropes, he didn't realize a soldier pressing his cig butt onto his face, leaving a large and painful burning mark. Wade turned and scowled at the soldier, his paws and legs still unable to move. "Now, if you'd kindly tell me, when in the hell is your army gonna get here, why the hell you came here," the Soldier said in a demanding tone. "The time of the army's arrival is not my concern." Wade answered, his eyes narrowing. He was half lying, but somehow it was also true, since he didn't get to ask anybody about their arrival, "As for what I want?" Wade shook his head in a pitiful manner, "It's what You want, you son of a bit*h soldier. I don't want anything. I have nothing to lose." He stared at the soldier with cold eyes. He knew he was going to be shot if he kept this up. If I gotta tell them the secrets of the PR, I'd rather die. |
Khufu wasn't aware of anything going on around him, but now he felt a light spray on his shoulders, which started to twitch and shake as he returned to the world. He could hear voices faintly, and gradually they became louder and more distinct.
"Ohhh, yeah, that feels good," said Khufu as the spray sprinkled his face. A sharp, familiar smell lingered after the spray had moved to his back and he guessed it was a Potion of some kind. Considering how good he felt, it most likely was a Hyper Potion. Glancing down at his wounded chest, he saw the gashes quickly disappear, and though some stinging remained, almost all of the pain was gone. Khufu looked up at his rescuers, and nodded at Silence and Lydia, the second of whom was currently being sprayed with the Hyper Potion to keep her cuts clean of infection. Twisting his neck back, he saw the human bending down to wrap Lydia in bandages and his eyes darkened with confusion. Why would the enemy be helping us? Most humans would have just killed me on the spot. I guess he's not like most of them, but I'm not sure to trust him. His ears pricked up as he thought he heard reverberating voices in his head. Khufu had always had the uncanny ability to predict the future somewhat, and to guess others' thoughts correctly, but he had assumed it was his logical mind at work. Tuning in closely to the voices, he recognized them easily as Silence and Lydia, and their words seemed to express what was going on in Khufu's head at the same time. Focusing hard on his thoughts, Khufu tried something he never had done before... I'm sure the commander will listen. A human caught helping the enemy would be at a great risk, knowing that this is war. |
"Nothing to lose eh? How about your life?" Richard laughed, and then kicked the pokemon again. "How about this, what information were you looking 'fer when you came to our HQ?" Richard took out another cigarette and lit it, puffing smoke into the Umbreons face. "Now, you listen here boy, I'm hungry, and if you don't answer me correctly, I will kill you and I will eat you, no matter how gross you are, just because it's dishonorable to you," He puffed more smoke into the pokemons face, making him cough. "besides, I've heard that Umbreon have some pretty tender meat." Another soldier called out to Richard and distracted him for a moment. When he turned back, he looked the pokemon in the eye , with an even colder stare, which made the pokemon visibly shake. "I'll be right back." Richard glared at the pokemon, got up and started to walk away.

Lydia
Canalave City Poke'Rebel Base "Its settled then. We'll escort him to the Commander. Hopefully Hector won't set him on fire the instant he sees him". Lydia truly wondered what the Commander would think of him. Let alone think of them, letting a human infiltrate the base so easily. She switched her focus to the man who had finished with her bandages, smiling, yet giving a deceiving glare at him. Her mind power cut from the pokemon, and became intact with the human. "We are taking you to the Commander's Office. Don't worry, you'll be taken care of there. By the way, what name should we address you by?" |
"We are taking you to the Commander's Office. Don't worry, you'll be taken care of there. By the way, what name should we address you by?"
Oh ****. I'm so dead. I tried to hide my stress from this whole situation but I'm pretty sure some of it went through. I help someone and this is the thanks I get? Murder? Compose yourself, Jeff. Maybe they'll just throw you in prison. I honestly hoped that would be the case, because I didn't want to be killed just for helping a Pokemon. Who is the Commander anyway? Whoever he was, I'm pretty sure he hates humanity, because he's probably the one who ordered the uprising and mass murder of the thousands of Canalave City's residents. Please don't let my life end like this. What? Oh right, my name. "My name is Jeff Bennings." |
Lydia
Canalave City Poke'Rebel Base "Ok then, Jeff. Just follow me." It was pretty obvious 'Jeff' was worried. Who could blame him? He was probably the only human here in the Poke'Rebel Base, and was surrounded. It didn't help that there was a war going on. He'd have to get use to it. Lydia signaled for the two, and pushed open the half-broken door. She was ready to lead them to the office, but she stopped. Uh...where was the office? The Zorua felt like slapping herself. She must have looked so dumb just standing there. "Sorry, but uh...wheres the offi-" Her voice was interrupted by a scream. The sound echoed in the building, and Lydia easily pin-pointed where it had came from. "Nevermind" |
Silence
Canalave City PR Base "Its settled then. We'll escort him to the Commander. Hopefully Hector won't set him on fire the instant he sees him". Personally, Silence thought that would be wonderful but she didn't say anything and just nodded. She followed behind the man as Lydia took the lead. The Zorua paused, looking embarrassed. "Sorry, but uh...wheres the offi-" She stopped when they heard a scream and said, "Nevermind." Silence smiled a bit. 'Sounds like Jack is having a good time,' she thought. |
Wade
Jubilife City Outskirts "besides, I've heard that Umbreon have some pretty tender meat." Richard said and Wade growled, trying his best to hide his anger. Eating Pokemon...disgusting! "I'll be right back." He stared at Wade with his eyes, his petrifying gaze causing the Shiny umbreon to shiver a little. Then he got up and Wade saw his chance. As Richard turned around, Wade nibbled the rope like a rat, and the top rope was broken now. Richard turned back at him to see if he was doing anything, and Wade showed him an innocent face, hiding his smirk. When Richard started walking away, Wade bit through the last rope and growled, wriggling away from the ropes and his eyes narrowed like an eagle spotting its prey. "Human meat is just as tender." Wade growled, his eyes full of hatred as he pounced onto Richard, forcing Richard to fall onto the ground, head first. Wade then unleashed a couple of slashes and a faint attack at his neck, making him unconscious. Then Wade's eyes glowed as he opened his mouth, revealing his fangs, and like a vampire, he bit into Richard's neck. Richard twitched as he was bitten, but after the bite, he was silent and lifeless. The soldier next to him screamed and ran, but Wade wasn't going to let him escape. He disappeared in a flash with Faint Attack and appeared right before the soldier, tripping his leg. The soldier tripped and fell down, his head smashing onto a large jagged rock in front of him, and the rest wasn't pretty. Wade scanned the area around him and found himself at the outskirts of town. "When is the PR army arriving?!" Wade murmured, brushing the ashes off his face made by Richard's sig, then he looked at the city. Without a second thought he rushed towards Jubilife city once again. He wasn't going to miss this fight, oh no, he wasn't. |
Hector Arcturus
Canalave City, Outside Commander's Office Hector paced back and forth in front of the door to his office. He was actually less concerned about what was going on in his office with the interrogation than what happened with that explosion. He didn't like it when people under him died, especially right under his nose. He promised himself that he would do his best never to let any human infiltrate the base again, and if they do, he would kill on sight, no hesitation, no going back. Hector wondered about the oncoming attack. He was to attack Jubilife, but now that that attack might be compromised, is it wise to continue? Hector knew better than to go into a conflict that the enemy was prepared for. But these were desperate time. It was win, or die. That was the only way he saw it. So he had to fight through it. But this time, they would be prepared, and the more he thought about it, the more he formulated a plan. Hector almost accidentally smiled. He thought to himself. The humans may see an attack coming, but they won't see this coming... |
Luke Van Eyla
Canalave City PR HQ, Commander's Office "I love humans as comrades, unlike you...freaks...." Then, Luke's victim fainted after screaming about his frostbitten arm. "Oh well," He sighed as he gradually reverted the room's temperature back to normal. "He didn't go far, man, are humans so weak? Even an Eskimo could survive that ice..." Luke removed the icy coffin around Jack and pushed open the windows, letting in the afternoon rays filter in and wrap around the human. Jack was not dead yet, his chest showed faint signs of dormant lungs. Well, it would be better if he was dead...but well information's information. The Vanillite bobbed in mid-air while levitating sheets of metal that reflected more sunbeams into the office. Deeply inhaling back all the coldness around him, Luke just hovered above the Commander's table and waited for his victim to melt. At least, Luke learned some points of Jubilife. Only a large army could save that wretched city, but perhaps a sudden raid from PR could nip it in the Budew? The ice-cream cone just chuckled to himself and chewed on a piece of candy he made from the snowflakes around him. Once the coffin case melted away, Luke substitute them with misty rings that bound the human back in place. Luke poked the human in his cheek and tried slapping him to wake him up. |
Jack Spark
Canalave City PR Base, Commander's Office Jack's eyes snapped open. His cheek was stinging, and he had a massive headache. "Ugh.....wha?" He looked at the Vanillite slapping him hard. "What the hell?! Back off, ice cream!" He yelled at it, trying to push it away. He remembered everything that had happened so far. The interrogation, the frostbitten arm. He had to figure out a way to get out. He looked at how his body had turned blue. His hands were numb, and fingers still frozen. He looked up at the Vanillite and said, "You know there's one thing that Pokemon lack, and only humans have, and that's Humanity. Which I showed by not killing your Commander, and your beloved Weavile." |
Luke Van Eyla
Canalave City PR HQ, Commander's Office "What the hell?! Back off, ice cream!" "Dude, you need to chill? Shall I help you with that??" Luke laughed at the pun said. "You know there's one thing that Pokemon lack, and only humans have, and that's Humanity. Which I showed by not killing your Commander, and your beloved Weavile." "Oh yeah? And we have..um..Pokemonity..that's counts right?" The Vanillite countered with heavy sarcasm. "Anyway, I believed the word is 'compassion', but well you came here to get information, I wouldn't expect you to kill anyone. On second thought, it would give us all the more reason to slay you and all the decrepit human beings." He hissed before drifting backwards. Luke froze the air in front of to craft an icicle and he wielded it like a dagger. Pointing it precariously against the human's neck, the Vanillite spoke coldly to Jack, "Exactly, who are you with? State your allegiances!" Narrowing his eyes, Luke whispered, "If not, I'll show just how torturous I am like the time I was assigned to the Executional Tribunal department for extorting humans." |
Jack Spark
Canalave City PR Base, Commander's Office "Pokemonity? You are kidding me." Jack replied. The Vanillite talked on, and then wielded a icicle on his neck."You think that's going to get me? Thats tiny and blunt. Just like you." Jack said. He refused to say anything, and betray mankind. "Didn't I tell you? I'm a spy! I'm in Jack's disguise. Plastic Surgery is useful." |
Lydia
Canalave City Poke'Rebel Base - Near Commander's Office Lydia raced down the hall. Though the scream had faded from the halls, she still knew where it had came from, and was eager to find out what was happening. The Zorua had been having the day of her life. Geez, one thing after another. If there was another god damn human in here, I swear... She slowed her running, coming to a stop as she found the Arcanine outside of his office, pacing about. "Hector, sir! We've found a human inside the base." she reported. She felt nervous being in front of the Commander. "We found him in the room where the explosion occurred..." Lydia didn't know what to say. Suddenly explaining things wasn't so easy, but she was mostly petrified by Hector's expressions. There was certainly something on his mind. She turned around to find Khufu, Silence and J- oh s***. Jeff? The Zorua rubbed her eyes in case she wasn't seeing properly, but no. Did he not follow them? ...did he run off? She cursed under her breathe. |

Canalave City PR HQ, Commander's Office "You think that's going to get me? Thats tiny and blunt. Just like you." "Didn't I tell you? I'm a spy! I'm in Jack's disguise. Plastic Surgery is useful." "So if you're not Jack, then who are you?" Luke paused before adding, "Keeping quiet won't help between you and me...." The Vanillite then pressed the icicle against the human's neck, drawing blood. "Answer me again, who are you working with?" He said grimly. If Luke found out this so-called spy's identity, he could easily figure out who else was a danger from the HR. (OOC: *yawn* Gee, this interrogation is getting quite a bore. We're not getting anywhere, besides, is there really a need to ask about the other people in HR? I mean, we're gonna meet each other sooner or later in battle or so. :/ ) "Oh yes, and I hope you know that even blunt knives cut deep." A narrow smile formed on Luke's white face. |
Jack Spark
Canalave City PR Base, Commander's Office The Vanillite pressed the dagger down. Blood started coming out of the cut. "I'm Walter. Secondary spy of the HR." Jack said. He spat on the face of the Vanillite. "The knife is quite sharp, now that I see it." Jack said. He tried to move his frostbitten arm. All he could manage to do was twitch his hand terribly. He hoped that the Vanillite didn't see that, otherwise he knew very well what the Vanillite would do... |
Luke Van Eyla
Canalave City PR HQ, Commander's Office "I'm Walter. Secondary spy of the HR." Jack said. The human tried to spit at his face, but Luke merely froze the glob of saliva before it even touched him. "The knife is quite, now that I see it." Jack commented and the Vanillite didn't lift his gaze off the simpleton. Then Luke noticed the frostbitten arm of the human twitched as Jack probably tried to control it. Then a nasty thought came into his mind as a mischievous grin plastered itself on the ice-cream cone. "Hmm....nice to make an acquaintance with you...Walter..." Luke said in a very amiable tone. "Would you care to let me know how much of a tough nut you are? Huh?" He maliciously beamed down on the human as he shifted the icicle from the neck down to the numb arm. The Vanillite snarled as he poked the sharp dagger of ice into the bluish arm. |
Jack Spark
Canalave City PR Base, Commander's Office The Vanillite looked at his arm devilishly. "No," He thought, "NO! He's seen my arm!" The Vanillite said,"Would you care to let me know how much of a tough nut you are? Huh?", and took the icicle and pierced it into his arm. "Gaaaahhhhhh!!!!!! Damn you!!!!!!" Jack wailed. He tried to grip his arm, but was unable to, due to him being bound. He still didn't say a word about him, or his plans, and tried to withstand the pain. (OOC- hey diamond, hope that's enough excitement for you XD @FourCartridge- Rescue me, instead for rescuing the Pokemon! XD) |
Jeff Bennings
Canalave City PokeRebel Base I followed the Zorua to the commanders office, whomever he was. My heart was pounding and I was getting increasingly stressed. I don't wanna die, not now! When the Zorua reached to commanders office, I saw who he was; an Arcanine, the same one I had saw earlier in the base. I looked into his face and saw... A Grade A misanthrope. He hates humanity, no doubt. Heck, he probably mauls small children in broad daylight. He looked like the devil made flesh, and gave off the same aura. The Zorua looked for me, not catching a sight of my person. Well, I was several feet taller, and she did have a hard time finding this place. That's when I heard the scream from inside the office. I instantly panicked. Two thought came to my mind; One; The parachutist is still alive? Two; Oh ****, they're going to do the same to me! I help someone and this is the thanks I get? What do I do, what do I do? At that moment, I snapped, My instincts told me to get out of here, but I wanted to grab the parachutist, along; It's the end of the world, nobody gets left behind. Everything except me seemed to go in slow motion. I burst of open the door and saw him with... A floating ice cream cone? What's going on in here? I grabbed the parachutist anyway, racing down the hallways and going down the stairs(the elevator's too slow), never looking back. The Great Escape, as I like to call it, had begun. |
Jack Spark
Canalave City PR Base, Commander's Office Jack was still recoiling from the pain. His hand felt as if it was on fire. He couldn't even think properly. That's when the door opened, and a man barged in, grabbed his fine hand, and dragged him out of the room. Jack didn't know what to say. He was shocked, and couldn't believe it. Jack had barged in and shot, and this guy had barged in and pulled a man and ran out. He had to commend his bravery. Just before they had gotten out, Jack yelled at the tiny ice cream, "See, told ya ta needed a new Security Head!! Smell ya later!" That's all he could manage before passing out from the pain. |
Silence
Canalave City PR Base When she saw the human we had been escorting running off with Jack Spark, Silence started to run after them only to fall flat on her face. She glared at her leg which had decided to go stiff at that exact moment before getting to her feet and going after them at a fast walk. Going slow was better than getting no where at all. When a Jolteon dashed by, the Weavile wondered where in the world it had come from when she noticed part of a Zorua tail disappearing as Lydia finished her transformation. The transformed Zorua leaped over the escapees and turned to face them, snarling fiercely. "If you plan to get out you have to go through me first!" she threatened. Silence was going to use this distraction to catch up when she started feeling dizzy. The last thing she remembered before blacking out was thinking, 'I really hate guns.' |
Hector Arcturus
Canalave City In front of Commander's Office Hector's pacing stopped as a Zorua came up to him and addressed him. He looked coldly at her, and then at the human behind him. His first movement would be his last. Hector pondered what they were doing bringing him before him until she spoke. "Hector, sir! We've found a human inside the base." He looked at her, deep in thought. She spoke again. "We found him in the room where the explosion occurred..." Hector now looked at the human, but before he could speak, he bolted for the door to his office, and attempted to take off. Silence now spoke. "If you plan to get out you have to go through me first!" she threatened. But she soon found herself blacking out. The Zorua made ready to chase. Hector stopped her and spoke to her, as well as all other Pokemon within the vicinity. "I want all levels locked down. Don't bother to chase. There's no place for them to go but up or down those stairs. As long as the lockdown is in place, they aren't going anywhere. Notify all Pokemon in the base of their present location and have people monitoring them at all times. They are NOT leaving this base, is that understood?" Hector shot a glance at the downed Silence. He motioned at a Pokemon closeby. "Take her to the medical bay." Hector took off now, towards another area of the base. If his instincts told them where he thought they were going, he'd cut them off there. And with one human carrying another one that's passed out, it would be all to easy to capture them again, and this time, they won't escape. |
Jack Spark
Canalave City PR Base Jack woke up in the man's arms, and looked up to see the Weavile fainting, and the Zorua in his way their way. The Zorua had transformed into a Jolteon, and was trying to fool the man. Jack gathered up his energy, and yelled at the man, "Listen! We need a radio! I know how to escape! And don't worry about the Zorua, its faking it. Kick it away!" He need to do something himself. He quickly got up, stumbled a bit, but then kicked the Zorua away. He grabbed the man's arm, and dragged him to the upper floor, where he barged into an office, quickly picked up a radio, and ran out again. He dragged the man towards the roof, yelling into the radio, "Ali, Ali listen to me! I need Skyla at the roof immediately! I need to escape, I've got another man with me, here! Quick, hurry!" He rushed towards the roof, hoping that Ali had heard him... |
The pokemon stopped dead in her tracks.
"Yes sir" she replied as the commander took off in a separate direction. She entered the commander's office, managing to take hold of a microphone found on a desk. As Hector said earlier, "Notify all Pokemon in the base of their present location and have people monitoring them at all times". "Attention!" she talked through the microphone. It was surprisingly loud although her voice was kept at normal pitch. "At this time, take caution. Two humans have managed to enter the base and may be sighted running up or down the floors. If seen, keep track of them and do not let the men out of your sight. Thank you." Her voice echoed through the building. She was still tired, but at least now she could hopefully take a break. As she turned around, she found a door leading to the interrogation room. Lydia entered curiously, and found a lone Vanillite. "Uhh...whats up?" |
Ali Krista
Jubilife City Inner city Ali paced the streets, cursing under his breath. He had radioed Lt. Chapman's squad no less than eight times, and with no response. He was beginning to lose his temper. If they've screwed this up as well... Suddenly, Ali's radio crackled, and a small voice leaked out. "Lieutenant. What's the news man?" "Sir?" That wasn't the booming voice of Lt. Chapman. It was the voice of a scared soldier. "What's happened?" "The- the Lieutenant's dead sir. An-and Richard. Uh, Private Jones. It's, uh, it's not pretty." Ali swallowed, hard. His anger simmered as he heard the fear in the Private's voice. He must be new. "Look, er..." "Private Scander, Sir." "Private Scander. You can expect some losses here today, we're not pretending any different. The Pokemon that were your friends are long gone, and the enemy are no cuddly Teddiursa, let me tell you. Give the senior members of the Squad strict instructions to contact the infirmary, We'll get the Lieutenant and Private Jones somewhere...restful. I'm sorry you had to see that, soldier. Over and out." Ali put his head in his hands. Lieutenant Chapman was a good man, but Ali had to withdraw his grief and bury it for the time being. The Umbreon was loose, but they were safer to weaken him in combat before capturing, he'd learnt that now. His tired hands reached for his radio once more. "Men, the Umbreon is loose once more. Do not attempt to capture or kill. Injure only, do you understand? It's deemed incredibly dangerous. We don't want injured men due to unnecessary causes." Ali raised his gun and walked the streets, determined to be the one to neutralise the rising enemy. His radio crackled into life yet again, and an all too familiar voice rang out, much more urgent than Ali had ever heard. "Ali, Ali listen to me! I need Skyla at the roof immediately! I need to escape, I've got another man with me, here! Quick, hurry!" "I'm on it, Jack." Relieved that the Commander was still alive, Ali contacted Skyla's radio. "Skyla, the Commander needs you on top of the PR base, asap. There seems to be a sense of imminent danger." "I'm pretty much there. We'll be in Jubilife in no time, Ali. Out." Jack had successfully entered the PR, and was about to escape from beneath their grasp. Things were really going to kick off now. |
The parachutist tried to drag me toward the roof, yelling something about a radio. What the ****. Does he have a deathwish? There's no way out in the roof! Why does he want to go back? There's nothing there. Well, he did try to parachute onto the roof, alone I might add. Maybe he isn't right in the head. Whatever he wants there's nothing to be gained from cornering ourselves.
"Do you want to be killed?!" I shouted. I pulled on his arm with all my might and dragged him towards a fire escape I saw from a few windows back. I managed to get on, and finally get down to ground level. (OOC: I'm writing as a sort of "How would my character?" react kind of thing. He honestly thinks that. Remember, is is unaware of the HR's existence.) |
Jack Spark
Canalave City PR Base The man tugged at Jack's arm, and then ran away, going to the ground through a fire exit. Jack thought about running to get him, but he was too late. He was already down. Jack ran off towards the roof, to be welcomed by the high speed winds generated by Plane. Skyla lowered the plane, and Jack jumped on. He yelled over to Skyla, "Skyla, get us out of here!" "Will do, Cap'n!" Came the reply. "The Plane stated moving, and then as it was off the roof, Jack spotted the man who had escaped. "Skyla, take us there. Quickly!" Skyla lowered the plane down, and Jack opened the back hatch, and offered his hand to the mysterious man. "Come on!" He yelled at him. |
Wade
Back to Jubilife City Dark Alleys Wade looked at the soldier from the alley, his eyes glowing in the dark, his eyes narrowed at all times. Drops of blood was still dripping off his face from his chin, but he didn't care the least. It reminded him of how cruel humans were. He was located at the darker areas of the alley, so the soldiers couldn't see him. It had been one hour since the interrogator's death, so the HR probably knew about his disappearance. Wade's eyes widened and he gasped softly as a soldier went into the alley in order to have a smoke. He closed his eyes to hide his light, but the soldier started shouting when he saw his blue glowing rings. Knowing that he had been discovered, he leaped onto the soldier, pushing him down onto the ground before killing him with one swift slash at the neck. Pulling the dead soldier's sleeve with his teeth, he dragged the dead body to the end of the alley, then jumped up the wall, leaping from one side to the other, leaving a little stand of fur on the dead body. He arrived at the roof, only 50 meters tall and continued to look around stealthily. |
Luke Van Eyla
Canalave City PR HQ, Commander's Office What in the name of Arceus? In the middle of his interrogation, someone barged into the office and nabbed Jack away, who was screaming with frostbite. What just happened? Before he knew it, another Pokemon rushed into the room and made an announcement over the microphone. "At this time, take caution. Two humans have managed to enter the base and may be sighted running up or down the floors. If seen, keep track of them and do not let the men out of your sight. Thank you." Oh great, guess I'd better do something. "Uhh...whats up?" The Zorua turned to speak to him. "Well, nothing. Hey, would you care to join me in catching those humans? Vanillites can float anyway." Without waiting for her consent, Luke froze the window so intense until it shattered into harsh fragments and he drifted out of the window. Then he heard a commotion far up. "Ali, Ali listen to me! I need Skyla at the roof immediately! I need to escape, I've got another man with me, here! Quick, hurry!" Not if I can help it. At that point, an airplane was seen hovering just above the PR's roof. Inside a woman controlled the machine as she lowered down to let Jack leap onboard. "Skyla, take us there. Quickly!" Luke heard the human order while a back hatch was released and they tried to coax the other human being onto the plane. Narrowing his brows in a sharp crease, Luke lunged out from the corner below the roof shafts to make his entrance. "Where do you think you're going?" The Vanillite smirked as he struck a cold beam of ice energy in between Jack and the other human. Directing the next sarcastic remark to the pilot, "Have you flew in a blizzard before? Well then, get ready!" Luke chilled the air around him, causing huge amounts of snow to rain down from the sky. He was planning to alter Canalave's climate, if he had to, to stop these fools. Luke then casted 5 fist-sized metallic plates and he levitated them around the plane, revolving them swiftly. Once he reached the climax of his desired speed, Luke unleash the Mirror Shot that would damage the aircraft. Following up the dish, the Vanillite fired multiple shockwaves of frost at the blades of the aeroplane, trying his best to freeze them and cause it to crash. |
Jack Spark
Canalave City HR Cargo Plane Jack didn't have any time. He looked over to see everybody in the base had been alerted. "No time!" He yelled, and grabbed the man's hand, when an Ice Beam hit his hand. His hand froze in the man's. "Not much choice now, eh?" He grinned at the man, and pulled him up. "Jack, Jack!" Skyla yelled. "What?" Jack yelled back. "We seem to have a problem. The Ice Creams freezing up the engines!" Skyla replied. "I'm on it." Jack walked over to the weapons cache of the Plane. He picked up his trusty Flamethrower, and then burned off the ice from the man and his hand. His hand still hurt, and the icicle was still stuck in his arm. He walked over to the open hatch, and then burnt off the ice in the Engines, and on the plane. He then yelled at the Vanillite, "Sweet dreams, Ice Cream!" and then let a flame loose on him. When he was satisfied, he closed the hatch, and told Skyla, "Take us to Jubilife. The Base. Time to see what was going on behind my back." He then looked at the mysterious man he had pulled in, and said, "All right, now onto you. Who are you, and what were you doing there?" |
Luke Van Eyla
Canalave City PR HQ, Commander's Office Luke saw, wide-eyed, when Jack held a flamethrower and melted off the ice. "Sweet dreams, Ice Cream!" The man taunted before aiming a pillar of flame at the Ice-type Pokemon. Luke managed to deflect the heat with a combined Mirror Shot and Acid Armor but the impact pushed him backwards. Pulling himself together to float back up, Jack already manned the plane to head towards Jubilife. Before he gave up pursuing them, the ice cream Pokemon aimed a quickly-powered Ice Beam at the rear of the plane. Jubilife, eh? I heard that they needed some snow. But one like him, wouldn't be able to get to the city in time with the plane so the Vanillite hurried back into the HQ. He found Hector along the corridors and rushed up to him, puffing mild fog. "Commander, Jack and a human have left the premises and are on their way back to Jubilife. I may not be a good spy but I think I've a little crazy tactic that would make them go over the heath. I can help stall time while PR plans an attack, if you need to." Being cheekily defiant all the same, Luke buzzed around his leader, waiting for a reply. Impatient and over-excited, he unknowingly negated the base's temperature to a wintry wonderland with full air-conditioning. A pair of Pokemon passed through and he tapped on one of their shoulders. He asked if a snow-terrain vehicle such as a snow-scooter that his parents contributed to the PokeRebels. The Pokemon tilted its head positively and Luke let them to collect the vehicle. Even if Hector the Arcanine won't allow him to chase them all to Jubilife, the Vanillite was bound to make his exit sooner or later. |
Hector Arcturus
Canalave City, PR Base Corridor Hector took an alternate route that would have taken him up to the roof. If his instincts were right, they would be extracted there. It was the most logical place to make a pick-up, and the least messiest. Hector approached the roof, and opened the door. He looked around. Empty. Damn it, Hector thought. He was wrong. He was so sure of himself too. Now, he had probably let Jack and the other human escape. He had made a huge error, something he shouldn't have done as Commander. Hector sighed as he proceeded down the stairs. He went down a few levels, and ran into the Vanillite that was interrogating. He had not actually asked for a name. The Vanillite was encircling him as it spoke. "Commander, Jack and a human have left the premises and are on their way back to Jubilife. I may not be a good spy but I think I've a little crazy tactic that would make them go over the heath. I can help stall time while PR plans an attack, if you need to." Hector watched the little Pokemon coldly. He then sighed. "Jack is a tricky one, and I'm not sure it's worth the effort to slow him down, but you may do as you wish." Hector proceeded to walk away, back into his office. He felt he had failed here by not keeping the prisoners secure, but this was only an opportunity and an excuse so that Hector would go on with the rest of his plans. The previous Commander, in Hector's opinion had been too lax with humans, and too lax with defenses. The PR base will be maximized in security under Hector, and the plan of attacks will be much more intricate. Hector has much on the field experience, and although they will still be attacking Jubilife, as per the old Commander's orders, Hector's got an alternate plan to implement. Something they won't see coming. |
"All right, now onto you. Who are you, and what were you doing there?" The Parachutist said. First human contact for 3 months and it's semi-hostile? Figures with my luck.
"Oh, me? I'm Jeff Bennings, attorney-at-law and fellow Survivor." I tipped my fedora off to him in a casual manner. "I specialize in criminal prosecution. As to what I was doing there, well, I was actually trying to save you, believe it or not. You were the only fellow human I have seen in 3 months." I stopped. How did I not go crazy during that amount of time? "My life was torn up by the attack Canalave had. Friends, family, all dead or captured. To top it off, I barely had any interaction with Pokemon or their trainer whatsoever before all this. It's like Arecus hates me." I thought about my Mom, Dad, Aunt Caroline, Uncle John, and my Friends Allison, Alex, and Ray. I really hope their OK, somewhere. "I heard Pokemon want to make humans their servants, and quite frankly, I'm shaking at the mental images. Maybe we can gather other Survivors, form some kind of resistance against the Pokemon... Where did you get this plane anyway?" |
Jack Spark
Jubilife City Sky Cargo Plane "It's like Arceus hates me." the man said. "Hey now, listen to me. A Pokemon is no God of us." He said. "I heard Pokemon want to make humans their servants, and quite frankly, I'm shaking at the mental images. Maybe we can gather other Survivors, form some kind of resistance against the Pokemon... Where did you get this plane anyway?" "So you really are clueless about this, right? Listen to me. There is a Resistance. It is called the Humans Republic. And you're talking to it's Commander right now. This is a plane of the Humans. Although I do think Attorneys are supposed to be well informed..." Jack said. "Cap'n, we're above Jubilife now!" Skyla's voice came. "Great, Skyla. Get us there pronto." Suddenly the plane started shaking, and they started descending fast. "Skyla, what the heck is going on?" Jack cried, as he tried to grip the handbar above his head. "There's water in the engine, sir! It's causing the Engines to short circuit!" Skyla cried, trying to regain control. But it was too late. The plane was out of control, and the plane, with the Commander, Attorney, and Pilot crashed into a building. |
Wade
Jubilife City Building Roof Wade was still hiding on top of the building when all of a sudden, there was a loud humming voice, and Wade turned. It was a plane, a little transporter engine, and it was heading towards Jubilife - no, it was heading for the building he was on! "Crap..." Wade shook his head hopelessly as the plane's altitude went lower and lower. The building roof was enough for it to crash-land, so the plane crashed onto the building roof, forcing Wade to retreat to one corner. There was a deafening crash, and Wade was sure the soldiers down there could hear it. They would come up. They would discover him. Not good. Looking at the burning plane, he stared into the window to see if there was anybody he knew. When he was about to give up, he saw a familiar face through the window... "J-Jack." Wade spoke, his voice half shocked, half angry, somewhere in between. |
Ali had been watching the skies since he'd put down his transceiver. He checked his watch impatiently, knowing it would take Skyla no time at all to get from Canalave to Jubilife. He was beginning to fear the worst, when the sound of a roaring plane engine met his ears.
Ali looked around wildly before his eyes rested on Skyla's plane. He almost smiled in relief, but something was wrong. The plane wasn't in control, and within moments, it had crashed against a tall building. Letting out a small noise of surprise, Ali sprinted to the building, breaking the door down with his boot. He climbed the staircase and burst through the door to the roof. Skyla's plane was wrecked. "Jack! Skyla - Are either of you hurt? Can you feel your legs?" Ali began to move the plane wreckage. Jack was stirring, but Skyla had yet to move. Another man moved slightly behind Jack, but none of them had answered him. "Come on boys, what's going on here? Need I call the infirmary?" (OOC: Obviously, I haven't seen Wade chillin' behind me. Do with that what you will, Aura.) |
Lydia climbed up the broken window, sadly already too late. The plane was gone, and so were both of the humans. She growled fiercely, her body glowing red with anger. But she stopped, knowing it was useless to try and attack now. Lydia shouldn't have taken mercy on Jeff. This was all her fault. Their escape...everything. She couldn't trust humans again.
By now, the plane had to be near Jubilife. Though far from here, Lydia was sure that she could fly over and give the chase. Still, she imagined it would be no use. With a discouraged growl she walked back into the base with the use of the elevator. Did pokemon get a break or not? |
Jack Spark
Jubilife City Plane Wreckage "Ugh....my head hurts." Of course Jack lied. His whole body was full of pain. His hand in terrible condition. He needed to do something. He looked out of the window, and saw an Umbreon standing there. A shiny Umbreon. "Wade...." Jack thought. Ali's voice came from behind. He had started to move the wreckage. "Come on boys, what's going on here? Need I call the infirmary?" "No need, Ali. We just need our top doctors and scientists. NOW!" Jack yelled. He glared at Wade, and said with a grin, "Nice to see you Wade. You the one who went around killing people. Anyways, like you can see, I'm not in a good state. We'll fight when you and I are well. That's what I taught you, right? The Honor Code?" He walked on, grabbing Ali's radio. He yelled into the radio, "Listen to me, people! I need the topmost doctors and scientists. Get ready for an operation. Oh, and get the BioArm 3000 Plans too. I'll need 'em." "Ali, take care of Skyla and the other man, okay?" Jack yelled these instructions, and headed to the HR Base. |
Finally, Ali got to see why Jack was Commander. He'd just come out of a plane crash, his arm appeared injured, and yet he was already barking commands. Ali couldn't fail to be impressed.
"Nice to see you Wade." The Commander said with a grin. Ali wheeled around to see the ever-evasive Umbreon, and raised his gun instinctively. Jack however, seemed much too calm. Upon seeing Jack's reaction, Ali lowered his gun, but didn't take his eyes off 'Wade'. Without any further ado, Jack took Ali's radio and demanded scientists and doctors. Without even waiting to be checked up, the Commander left, and ordered Ali to look after the two in the plane. "Consider it done, Jack." Ali replied, a little taken aback by Jack's fearless demeanour. "Skyla, uhh, other guy, speak to me." Skyla didn't answer, and so Ali climbed into the wreckage. Another soldier had arrived now, and was pointing the barrel of his gun at the Umbreon. All in the interest of safety, of course; he knew the Umbreon wasn't to be killed. Ali lifted Skyla's face carefully and took off his helmet. The visor had smashed and small shards of glass were sticking in his face. He didn't appear to be breathing. "Argh, damnit! Skyla, come on, you're stronger than that!" Ali yelled, searching for a pulse. "You, can you move? Help me get the pilot out of here!" Ali shouted at the other man in the plane. He was unfamiliar, and appeared completely bewildered. With a struggle, Ali moved Skyla to the flat roof, careful not to move his spine. Unable to wait for the doctors to arrive, he began to perform CPR. |
Jeff Bennings
Jublife City Plane Wreckage I surprisingly escaped from the wreckage relatively unharmed. First a near escape and now this? It's my lucky day. At least I'm away from Canalave. I dusted my suit off, straightened my tie, and put my fedora back on my head. I wondered about the Zorua I helped. Is she OK? What does she think of me now? Is she hostile to me? I swear, this whole war, whatever it is, is that Arcanine's fault. I tell you, he's the devil incarnate, I saw it in his eyes. He would have burnt me to a crisp, it's the reason why I bolted, though I was pretty sure whatever they had in store for me wasn't nice, considering the condition of the "Commander of the Human Republic". "You, can you move? Help me get the pilot out of here!" Oh yeah, forgot about him. I ran over to help carry the pilot. |
Mark Vargas
Jubilife City Building next to plane wrekage Mark barley kept his head when the plane crashed, Literally, it almost hit him. Mark got up and cleaned of his Dragon skin armor when he noticed the activity by the plane. Picked up his Beefy rifle and set it to 2X zoom. From what he could tell there was a Umbreon and 2, no 3 republicans. Mark never took his eyes off them, but also realized he still had the element of surprise. Holding his breath he lined up a "Perfect" head shot with the umbreon. Vargas was starting to pull the trigger when he noticed no one was attacking the umbreon. Quickly, he pushed the rifle butt down and caught the kick of it in the stomach. Everyone for at least half a mile heard the loud distinctive "Crack" a 50. Cal weapon gives off. The force knocked him to the ground with a large fatigue feeling along with the pain of getting punched in the stomach. Knowing his position was compromised, he tried to get up but it was too painful. He needed to lie down for a minute and hope no one came looking. |
Jack Spark
Jubilife City Temporary HR Base Jack had made his way into the HR Base. The base had been equipped with all basic devices, like satellites, the weapons cache, etc. Jack's hand pained even more, and he walked through with a lot of difficulty. The pain and the loss of blood were the root of these problems. Jack didn't know whether leaving Ali and the others with Wade was right, but he had to risk it. He wouldn't be able to fight in this condition anyways. He reached the second floor, where the Operation Theater was located. He headed over there, where the Doctors were prepping the place. "Couldn't you idiots have atleast sent a stretcher?" Jack said as he toppled onto the bed. Dr. Ben, examined him, while the others got him ready for the Operation. "You have got severe loss of blood." The doctor said, looking at Jack's charts. "What else did you expect?" Jack said. "Now quick, we don't have much time, the Pokemon are going to attack." The Doctors were ready, and they began the operation. First, they had to amputate Jack's arm, which had been suffering from frostbite. They gave anesthesia, and then cut the arm off. Jack didn't feel a thing, and then the scientists arrived. They had a huge metal thing in their hands, and they gently placed it onto a table. The BioArm 300. "Al right. Begin." Jack said, gulping hard. The procedure was complex and elaborate. First they would place the arm where Lack's human arm used to be. Then they would make the skin draft over the arm, and then apply final touches, to make the arm unbreakable. That was the gist of it. Jack didn't know much about the procedure, and had slept through it. He was woken up the doctor, who had told him. "Jack, it....it is done." Jack looked down at his arm. He lifted it, moved his fingers, waved his hands, and the hand obeyed dutifully. "Amazing..." Jack said, grinning at the arm. "Now, Jack, this arm was specifically developed for people who had lost their arms in war. It has been tested, but not implemented in proper everyday life. So, we don't know how it'll turn out." "Enough with that. What are its capabilities in battle?" Jack said. He knew he was short on time. "Well, you have holsters on your arm for keeping guns....and then you've got a built in shooter, in which you can load bullets or darts. And last, you've got retractable blades." "Excellent." Jack said, and got up, walking out of the room. "Sir, Sir!! You shouldn't go out like this! You've jus-" "Enough. We don't have time. If I sit around here, the city will be lost." he walked out without looking back. He got out of the building, and cracked his Bionic knuckles. He started waking towards the building where Wade was, heard a loud gunshot. "What the heck?" Jack thought, and ran over to the building. He climbed up, and saw Ali giving Skyla CPR. "Dammit! Is she hurt?" Jack yelled. He turned around and saw the mystery attorney pull himself out of the wreckage. "You, get a gun from the plane!" He yelled at him. He then turned turned his gaze towards Wade. "As for you..." He brought out his claws from the arm, prepping for battle, "Bring it on!" |
Mark Vargas
Jubilife City Building next to plane crash By the time mark got up, he could here someone yelling 'Bring it on'. Instinctively, he pulled out his Silenced Smg and began to charge. He took one step and saw the plane. His memory came back of what just happened and he holstered his weapons. Taking one last breath, he stepped back to get a running start and preformed a "suicide jump" to get to the next building. Mark had a rough landing and had to Swat role out of the impact, which didn't work well counting the size of the Barret rifle secured in place on his back. the role snapped the straps holding the large rifle, so he was able to complete the role. He rolled right under someone in a combat position, but ignored him to check on the injured person. Mark ran as he shouted "Did that hit anyone? Is she O.K.". Mark slid to a botched stop beside the woman to check for a 50. cal bullet hole. "Didn't hit her, good, that was close." |
Wade
Jubilife City Rooftop, next to plane wreckage Wade glanced around nervously as he had been discovered. People were pointing guns at him, but when his ex-trainer spoke in a calm tone, they lowered their guns. They wanted him alive, no doubt. Wade's blue rings glowing like the brightest moon, his eyes narrowing, he strode towards Jack, holding a little growl as he approached him. But then Jack went into the temporary base and vanished. Wade snorted, "What, don't wanna fight?" but he knew Jack was up to something. Somehow he felt like he was being watched from behind and turned swiftly, looking at Ali straight at the eyes. Wade didn't know him, but judging by his expression, he didn't have good intentions. When Jack returned he looked different, and Wade could see his arm. It was made of metal now, which meant he had lost his arm in a fight, with Pokemon, possibly? "As for you...Bring it on!" Jack murmured, sharp claws coming out of his arms, ready to fight. Wade smirked, charging his energy as he looked into Jack's eyes.. "Finally." Wade spoke coldly, staring at the soldiers, shooting them a glance that meant 'stay out of this' then with perfect aim, shot a devastating black ball of energy towards Jack's chest.... ,"Long time no see, Jack Spark." |
Luke Van Eyla
From Canalave then Jubilife Roof of HR HQ, hidden from view at the corner "Jack is a tricky one, and I'm not sure it's worth the effort to slow him down, but you may do as you wish." As soon as Luke heard what he wanted, the Vanillite was out of the HQ in a flash, leaving a trail of blown paperwork, toppled cabinets and several spilled stationery across the floor, like as though someone had used Whirlwind on everyone. Giving a hurried 'thank you', Luke hopped into the snow-scooter and drove up the engine. One might wonder why drive a snow-terrain vehicle in a warm tropical climate such as Canalave, but the Ice-type Pokemon wasn't planning on staying in Canalave for long. Speeding across highways and grassy routes, Luke lubricated the gears with a thin glossy coat of snow and along the coastal roads that exited Canalave, he espied a Gyarados attacking some human beings who were fishing in its territory. Playfully, Luke sent in a large cloud of fog across the waters to engulf the fishermen, causing more shrieks and yelps. He chuckled as Jubilife soon came into view not far away. The Vanillite caught sight of the plane he had beamed with frost not long ago, but this time, it was what he wanted, out of control. However it was crash-landing on the roof of the Human Republic's base, which may not be so liking after all. Slowing down a notch, Luke swerved his scooter around the bends of the city roads, avoiding trucks and giant vehicles with their dumb human drivers in them. "Get out of my way! I'm making a snowstorm here, hah!" The ice cream cone stuck out a tongue rudely as he zoomed head-on to the enemy's headquarters. Cautiously hiding his snow-scooter amongst some thick vegetation, Luke carefully floated across the ground and rose up near the roof, just a level below. It appears as the female pilot was badly injured, as Luke eavesdropped on the bubble of noise. "Dammit! Is she hurt?" Same old rackety voice, from his victim. "You, get a gun from the plane!" Luke silently peeked out from the roof tiles, and glimpsed that other male human. Then an Umbreon was also seen, crouching at a considerable distance. Who is he? Shiny Umbreon...Oh wait...isn't he...Wade?! Then he realized that Jack no longer had a frostbitten arm, but was replaced by some high-tech machinery. Like a cyborg! Luke stifled a gasp of "What the Heracross!" "As for you...Bring it on!" Jack started to say to the Umbreon. "Bring it on!" "Finally." Wade spoke coldly then with sudden agility shot a menacing Shadow Ball at the HR Commander. "Long time no see, Jack Spark." Luke heard Wade add. He had to help his fellow Pokemon comrade. A madman with a bionic arm loaded with hotshot ammunition against an Umbreon with only innate and not externally-enhanced powers is just unfair. So, I see the time to play...dirty. Hiding precariously between the concrete beams of the buildings and taking care not to be caught by the residents of the building through windows, the Vanillite worked swiftly with his blue wisps and mouth, churning and conjuring up huge billowing clouds of obliterating mist. In his mind, he concentrated on directing the large crowd of mist clouds and fog to shroud the whole HQ. |
Althalos Fizen
Jubilife City TV Station Roof Althalos had seen all of it from the roof top. The murder of the interrogator to the crash. He watched as Jack crawled out of the damaged plane and saw the Umbreon hiding amongst the twisted metal. Then Ali came to the building and started pulling out the commander. When that was done, Ali helped get the pilot out with the help of an unknown stranger. The woman was a pale white on his infrared, just clinging to life. Althalos quickly turned off his infrared and looked around. after about an hour or so, Jack came back to the crash sight with a large silver arm rather than his actual arm. "No one informs me on anything..." Althalos muttered. He then turned his infrared back on when he saw large clouds beginning to form. Through the dark blue on his infrared, he could see the white of the Umbreon and humans as well as what seemed to be a small black ice cream. "Damned pokemon gonna hurt a brudda'!" Althalos thought and then radioed to the commander. "I see the source of those flurries, napalm rounds in 10 seconds, take cover." Althalos ordered his superior. He prayed that he didn't hit the Umbreon, scoped the black shape, counted to 10 and pulled the trigger, sending everything in his scope to a hot white. He turned off the infrared to see that no human had been hurt, but he didn't see any sign of a pokemon. Radioed back tot eh commander. "Sorry Jack, but if I hadn't pulled the trigger before I got permission, I don't know what the little ice cream cone would have done. Probably completely ruined our communications and radar with his ice." |
Mark Vargas
Jubilife city on the rooftop with the crashed plane Mark turned around to see a fight going on, looked personal. He stood up and heard a whizzing sound, turned to see a small poof of smoke come up from the side of the building. If he had his rifle he could try to see where that came from, but it was over on the other side of who he guessed was the umbreon's old 'trainer'. Trying to keep some distance between him and the fight he balanced on the edge of the roof. Vargas got to his rifle and, on the way back, set his scope to 6x zoom and scanned the horizion. He noticed a possible sniper on the TV station roof and waved. |
Jack Spark
Jubilife City Rooftop, Next to Plane Wreckage It all began with the Shadow Ball. Wade smirked, looking into Jack's eyes, and then shot a Shadow Ball at his chest. Jack blocked it with his bionic arm. The attack deflected back and hit the ground. He then heard Althalos's voice in his radio. "I see the source of those flurries, napalm rounds in 10 seconds, take cover." "Don't Althalos!" he yelled, but it was no use. 2 Seconds later the building was shrouded in mist. "Mist? Ice Cream must be here." Jack thought. But he had no time. He jumped back just a second before Althalos's napalm round blasted the roof. He looked up, and saw that the mist had now been replaced with ash instead. "Sorry Jack, but if I hadn't pulled the trigger before I got permission, I don't know what the little ice cream cone would have done. Probably completely ruined our communications and radar with his ice." He heard Althalos's voice over the radio. "So it is true. Ice Cream is here." He looked above his head, and saw a faint image of an ice cream cone in the smoke. He pointed his new arm at it, and pressed a button, causing a bullet to fly towards the Ice Cream. |
