(OOC: So, Rusty is, er, decommissioned at the moment. If he hasn't replied by the time I can next post, I'll send the order for retreat. PR, do your worst!)
Ali Krista Jubilife City The streets Ali wandered the streets, stepping over the bodies of his men. It seemed disrespectful, but nothing could recover the dignity the HR were very close to losing. He reached for his talkie with unsteady hands. "Jack? I think it's almost over." There was no answer from the radio, and dread seeped into Ali's chest. "Jack. Do you read me? There's too many, I think we need some serious tactical genius here or we're about to lose everyone." Again, there was no answer. "Goddamnit, Jack!" Ali shouted, his knuckles whitening on the transceiver. "I can't run a battle on my own!" The radio remained silent, and so Ali thrust it in his pocket, standing to face a pack of three Mightyena. Man, this battle is chaos. Why the hell am I in charge here?! He picked up his radio again, speaking to all troops. "Sincerely, I wish you all the greatest of luck." The general yelled and ran to the Mightyena, brandishing his bloody knife. "Bring it, dogs! I've nothing to lose!" |
Alex Bryant Eterna City Relocation Alex stepped inside the large barracks that was once the City's Gym. A trooper there pointed to a section of the building for the Unit to sleep in. Alex followed the Unit over to the room. Alex stepped in the room, found a bunk and sat down in the bed. Alex looked around the room to find it crowded with people. Alex heard the door open. " Lieutenant Burns, your Unit is to head south to Oreburgh City. Humvee transportation is available for your use," the Trooper barked. " Let's head out," Lieutenant shouted as Alex and his fellow soldiers walked out of the barracks. Alex walked over to a Humvee and climbed in the backseat. Other soldiers climbed into the Humvee and the Humvee started moving. Alex clutch his M4 and looked out of the window. At least the drive is short, Alex thought as the Humvee hit a bump on to the Bicycling road. The road was worn out and in bad condition, but it still served its purpose. Alex heard a crumble. The front of the Humvee pointed downwards as his view became cluttered with steel and cement. He heard a smash, and after that, everything went black. |
Mark Vargas
Jubilife city Rooftop adjacent from althalos + others The weavile was now charging mark, claws ready to kill. He walked back firing all the shots in the clip at his attacker, but missed each one. "F**k my life, my aim sucks today." The pokemon seemed to trip right in front of him and missed her target, slicing through his armor. Both of them fell but the weavile tumbled quite close to the edge. Mark took off his vest to find 3 slashes across his chest. "God damn, you totaled my vest and my rifle now, give me one good reason not to push you over the edge now." He started to get up when a familiar ice cream cone floated up and checked on the pokemon who fell trying to stand back up. Facing mark he blew a cold vapor at him. Mark dropped back to the ground getting his helmet ''iced''. He took it off throwing it at the cone for it to just smash into pieces. Mark rolled over and grabbed the rpg, but the clips were too far away. Standing up he charged the vanillite holding the weapon like a baseball bat. Vargas swung the weapon with a loud grunt, hitting the ice cream off the building. Mark's bag was a small ways across the roof, so he walked over to grab it trying to ignore the extreme bleeding and pain. The bag seemed heaver now. He reached in the bag and pulled out his only other pistol clip and loaded it in the gun. Walking back over to the weavile, he pointed the gun at its head, but put it back down. "Your not even worth the bullet." With that mark walked across the rooftops. He got to the building across from althalos. He could walk down and up the other building to get over there but it was to dangerous. Instead he rain off the edge and jumped across the gap. He knew he wouldn't make it to the roof, but he had targeted a broken window. He made the jump surprisingly and walked up the stairs with the rpg mounted on his shoulder to make it up to the rooftop. Mark had a feeling someone on the roof knew he was there other than his fellow sniper. He slowly opened the door and walked out. |
Silence Quickslash
Jubilife City Rooftop Sure she was mad before, but now Silence was furious. First a tiny little ice cream cone only in its first evolutionary stage came to her rescue only to be hit by the weapon the human was swinging like a bat. Than the human walks away from her. Well, she'd show him not to turn his back on her. Looking over her leg she found the problem. The bullet that had been shot at her earlier had lodged itself under her kneecap. She carefully cut a slit where she felt the bullet and slipped two of her claws in. She hissed in pain and bit her lip to keep herself from shouting. A moment later she pulled out the bullet and tossed it away, letting out a breath she hadn't realized she was holding. Silence looked around and spotted the vest the human had discarded. She tore off part of it and wrapped it around the cut as a bandage. The Weavile got up and tried putting weight on her leg and was relieved to find that the pain wasn't so bothersome, more of a slight ache. A gleeful look spread across her face as she walked to the edge of the roof and looked down at the smashed window the human had jumped through. She was thinking about following him when she noticed something else on the opposite building. There was Lydia staring up at the clouds, Khufu laying down, and a human with his eyes closed humming to himself. "What the heck?" she muttered. |
Althalos Fizen
Jubilife City Plane Wreck Althalos woke up from his nap to the sound of Ali over his radio. "Sincerely, I wish you all the greatest of luck." the commander said. Althalos looked at his sniper rifle and thought about making a last stand for the human race against the pokemon ground forces, but decided against it. He was with one actual friend, a potential friend, and ironically, a human that was trying to kill him. Althalos looked around to see Khufu laying on the ground. "I'm surprised you didn't leave." Althalos said to him without getting up. He moved around a bit to get in a more comfortable position when Mark ran through the door. The older man was covered in multiple cuts and bruises and was panting. "You look like you've been running from a houndoom through a field of glass and fell down. What happened?" Althalos asked, concerned for his fellow sniper, but still unmoving. He looked over to the other building and saw a weavile on its roof. It looked surprised at what was happening on his roof. He locked eyes with it for a moment, giving it a clear message, "leave us alone." He then grabbed a container of neosporin from his small medical kit and tossed it to Mark, saying "Don't worry, it's not the stinging kind." Althalos then moved a little closer to Lydia and picked her up, just wanting something or someone to hold, then moved back t. The fuselage, slowly stroking her back. |
Alex Bryant Route 206 Under the Rubble Alex regained his conscience by the horrible pain that he is in. He looked up to see a large steel beam on his abdomen. He attempted to struggle out but his attempt failed. Alex saw a man stumbling away, a hand clutching his chest. Alex yelled at him, " Hey, over here," the man responded and stumbled over. The man picked up the beam and threw it aside. Alex struggled to get up but he did. He saw his M4 on the ground and picked it up. He loaded the gun, looked down its sights and rested the gun. A Sandslash ran at the man and started to claw at him. Alex aimed at the Sandslash and shot it. It fell off the man's back and layed on the ground, crumpled and dead. It had been awhile since Alex shot an enemy Pokemon. Alex helped the man up. " We would be best to get out of here," Alex preached. The man nodded and the two struggled out of the wreck and set out towards the cliffs. Those cliffs Alex was sure was the way to Oreburgh. Soon enough, the two reached the cliffs. Alex grabbed on to a ledge and attempted to pull himself up. However, the pain was just too much. |
Silence Quickslash
Jubilife City Rooftop Silence blinked away her surprise and her expression returned to being cold and hard. The human that had been resting locked eyes with her and seemed to be trying to tell her to keep away. She crossed her arms and thought about it. If she went over there, he might kill the other two pokemon. Not that she cared about them but that was her general there. Though she didn't like it, she had to believe the Flareon knew what he was doing. The dark pokemon let out an exasperated breath and left the building by the stairs, but not before sending a glare in their direction. There weren't many humans left and she picked off any that she came by. Hearing a gasp, Silence whirled around only to freeze at what she saw. A girl who looked to be 16 with waist length black hair pulled back in a ponytail and green eyes... the same eyes that used to look at her with such care... Silence stared at the girl, her eyes widened in shock and a half-formed Focus Blast in her hands. Than anger replaced shock. "Why did you leave?!" she yelled at the human as a single hot tear trickled down her face. "Why couldn't you trust me, Lilac?!" "Silence I...," the girl started before getting a determined look. "There's no way I could have trusted another pokemon after I saw what was happening around me. You're all monsters who don't care for your friends!" That was the last straw. Silence's enraged screech echoed down the street as she finished charging the Focus Blast and launched it at her former friend who dived out of the way just in time. Silence slumped against a building as she listened to Lilac's fleeing steps. 'She really doesn't trust me,' she thought as she calmed down. Actually hearing it from the girl made it worse. There was no way around it. Lilac truly did not trust Silence, after all they'd been through together. |
Alex Bryant Route 206 Away from the wreck Alex fell down from the ledge he grabbed on and hit the ground hard. Alex shrivelled in the enormous amount of pain. " There is a way around," the man said. The man helped Alex up and the two walked slowly towards the incline, stumbling frequently. The two traversed up the incline all the way to the top of the cliff. " There, the easy way out," the man remarked. Alex started walking towards Oreburgh City, which was in sight. The man followed him. Within minutes of there crippled walking, they reached Oreburgh City. Alex sighed and stumbled over towards the Military Hospital, which was once the Pokemon Center. " Good bye for now," the man stated. Although Alex did not know the man, he was glad to have met him. " See ya," Alex responded. Alex turned away and staggered into the Hospital. " Hello, how may I help you," the Nurse at the front questioned. Alex looked at the Nurse. Alex thought she looked quite pretty. Alex on the other hand, was in rough shape. " I need some medical attention," Alex replied. " Just got out of the Convoy wreck," |
Ali Krista
Jubilife City The streets Ali's growl was far louder than that of the Mightyenas as he pounced into combat. In his ludicrous state, the intimidation from the three had no effect on the HR General. Without so much as wincing from the pain, Ali brandished his knife in one hand and held his gun up with his other. He danced through the dogs who bit through his flesh, leaving gaping and bloody wounds. However, his knife was doing just as much damage, and his shock gun took down the nearest in one hit. "Come at me! You call yourself fighters?" Ali laughed maniacally, slashing the snout of an approaching Mightyena. He kicked the other under the chin before knocking the two out with his gun. Ali knelt on the floor, panting heavily. His blood formed little pools on the floor, and so he tore the fabric of his t-shirt and attempted to stem the flow. Finally, he made to his feet, accompanied by a dizzying headrush. As his eyes were brought into focus, he let out an involuntary yell. Ahead of him, in the distance, he could see a horde of Pokerebels, charging towards them. There must've been twice as many there as there were HR survivors, at the least. Ali closed his eyes, picking up his radio. Jack hadn't been contactable for a while, and so it was up to Ali to make the call. "Men, this is your general. Retreat. There are too many, I order you to make your way to Oreburgh immediately." His voice was hollow, defeated. It was all he could do not to tremble with weakness from battle. "Do not attempt to be a hero, this is the end. Over and out." The Pokerebel horde were too far away for Ali to attack, and waiting would be foolish in his current state. He staggered out of the main street and made for the outskirts. He'd barely felt the grass beneath his boots when he lost consciousness. |
Mark Vargas
Jubilife city Rooftops "Althalos, do we have an evac plan in place? And thanks for the neosporin". The rooftop was alot more calm than the rest of the city, even though it was crowded. "make some new friends?" mark asked as he zipped up his not ripped hoodie from his backpack. He picked up his still loaded rpg and started playing with it when he heard the retreat order from the general. "Ahhh! God damn! Now what? Were stuck right in the middle of everything." Mark stood up looking for an exit frantically. "Got any ideas, anyone, and i honestly don't care who answers." Mark sat back down and pulled out his last 50. cal bullet and began fiddling with that instead of the rpg, now laying beside him. He started thinking about the last order they got, go to Oreburgh City, go home. |
Hector Arcturus
Jubilife City HR Base, Stairs to the tops. Hector and the Pokemon with him had done a number on the human base. Humans lay dead everywhere. Pokemon were dead as well, but not quite as much as the humans were. It was their advantage as closer range. They were usually physically more capable than humans, and only through their guns and knives could they do any real damage. But Pokemon had their paws, their teeth, their claws, and their abilities. With them, they could do so much more. That's, at least, how Hector saw it. The building had a large portion of the humans inside it, but Hector managed to continue piercing his way to the very top. He had hoped to run into Jack here, so that he could finish off him, and put a huge dent in the human morale, but he didn't find that likely to happen. Jack had come on plane, and he was likely somewhere in the city. Or dead, but he would have heard of it if he was dead. He knew he survived the crash. Hector then noticed something. Some humans began to run. Hector at first assumed those were cowards, and understood they would die. But then he noticed some others had begun to run as well. It was obvious. A retreat was sounded. Hector sighed, and made his way to the top of the HR building. He observed the charred remains of the battle. It was indeed true: the humans had retreated. Today was the PokeRebel's victory. His victory. He felt proud to stand on the top of it all. But this was the beginning, and it didn't come without a cost. Many Pokemon died this day, and they won't be forgotten. Nevertheless, he let out a roar, a roar that could be heard across the battlefield, a roar of victory. The first of many. |
Ali Krista
Route 207 Urghhh. Ali began to stir, his head exploding with pain. He was aching all over, and his limbs felt too heavy to move. Ali's eyes opened, his vision blurred. He had no idea where he was, but felt grass tickling his cheek. Suddenly he felt a light pressure on his arm. His eyes focused and above his head, silhouetted against the bright sky, was a large, pink head. "Chansey?" The head said, and Ali let out a yelp, sitting up with a jolt. The Chansey's eyes widened, and a fearful look flashed across its face. Ali looked down to see his wounds wrapped in bandages. "Thank you." Ali said to the pokemon. "Sorry for frightening you..." The Chansey nodded, its eyes darting around as if it was likely to get into trouble. Well, of course it was, helping the general of the opposition. "Is there anything I can..?" Ali's hesitant question was interrupted by a distant roar, reverberating through the nearby city. It was the PR Commander; they had won the battle. The Chansey's head tilted towards the noise, before running into the city. Ali hung his head dejectedly. His first two assignments as General couldn't have gone worse. All these lives lost, under his name. Jack was gonna kick some serious Ali butt later. Well, if he was still alive, anyway. |
Althalos Fizen
Jubilife City Plane Wreckage Althalos sat there with Lyda in his arms, off in his own world. His parents had always taught him to be kind to pokemon. They had made him take care of a little pokedoll for two months before he received Blitz as a birthday present. Holding Lydia made him feel like he was back at his house, a few years before, holding the quilava. His reminiscent thoughts were shattered by the reality of his situation put into question: "Althalos, do we have an evac plan in place? And thanks for the neosporin." Althalos thought for a moment. "You're a good ten years older than me, you think of something. I can't drive and I'm sure most of the cars here were blown up. The only thing I can think of is running towards the way the PR came, then turning and running through the forest, but the city is occupied, so I have no idea how we would get anywhere. This is the only safe place. Right now, I'm content with sitting here." Althalos looked at the fuselage of the plane. "There is probably some provisions in there too. We might be able to last a few days on that and if you have your own stash of rations," Althalos pulled out a king sized 3 Musketeers bar and broke into fourths. He gave one to Lydia, one to Khufu, one to Mark and ate the last one. He looked around in his bag and found something that looked like food and tossed it over to the knife girl for when she woke up. "Besides," He pointed at the bound up girl, "we can't really go anywhere with her sleeping like a snorlax." Althalos shrugged and leaned back again, still stroking Lydia. "You know, there is only one thing that I really dislike about your boyfriend." Althalos said to her, with a frown. "It's that he's is obviously no older than I am, and he is a cold blooded killer. Nobody, of any age, should be so accustomed to killing that it doesn't even concern them, but to be that young, and not even care. Every time I pull the trigger, I regret needing to do it, in fact I hate it and wish that I could take it back. Wade, I think it was, he seems to kill almost for the fun of it. He has no feeling towards the target or anything like that." Althalos thought for a moment and stopped stroking Lydia's back, but rested his hand on her mane. "I just wish none of this had ever happened. If only some people weren't so cruel." Althalos sighed. 'Than I would never have had a gun pushed into my hands. I would never have become the killer with a conscience." He finished. Althalos' calm state of mind was interrupted by an ear shattering roar. It was from an Arcanine, the commander of the PR. A victory cry. He had known they had lost when Ali had given the order to retreat, but this just drilled it into his mind. He started humming to himself again, this time "Survivor Guilt." |

"Is there anyone still in the city, please respond" Mark decided to pick up the rpg and walked to the edge of the roof. He thought to himself 'There has to be something i can use to get out of the city.' He scanned the area, spotting wade. "Hey, althalos, cover me, im gonna grab him." Mark was off, and down the stairs in no time. He hid behind the wall, Pistol in his right hand, waiting for the right time. |
Alex Bryant Oreburgh City Military Hospital The Nurse helped Alex over to a Hospital bed and laid him on the bed. " I will get the Doc to check up on you," the Nurse charmingly assured. Alex laid on the bed in immense pain. " Hello, I am Dr. Davies. I am going to sedate you so the procedure will be painless," the Doctor said. The Doctor gave Alex a liquid. Alex drank it and slowly fell asleep. Alex woke up with the Doctor in the room. " Your procedure went well Sir, only a few bruises. You can go now," the Doctor assured. Alex got up, feeling well asked, " Where is my stuff?" " Cheryl, give him his belongings," the Doctor replied. Alex waited and the Nurse brought his equipment back. " Here, you never told me what your name was," the Nurse responded. " Alex Bryant. And thank you for the help," Alex replied. " Cheryl Sanderson," the Nurse charmingly informed. " It was a pleasure meeting you," Alex said. " Maybe not the last time we do," Cheryl replied. Alex walked out of the Hospital, waving at Cheryl on his way out. A high-ranking officer walked in, " Corporal Bryant, Staff Sergeant Wilkins, pleasure to meet you," the Officer introduced as he shook Alex's hand. " Ready for some action," the Officer asked. " Always," Alex replied. " Good, we are sending some troops in to rescue Survivors. Follow me," the Staff Sergeant asked. Alex followed the Staff Sergeant to a group of Four Humvees. Alex climbed in one with the Staff Sergeant. The engine started, and Alex watched as the Humvees drove away from Oreburgh and over the Oreburgh Gate. Within minutes, the Convoy was just outside of Jubilife. The City looked horrid. Buildings destroyed, people and Pokemon alike dead, the Humvees rolled in to Jubilife with a thud. |
Lydia
Jubilife City Plane Rooftop The Zorua was getting comfortable in the human's arms. She had never been in real contact with gentle people before. Lydia's 'owner' from several years ago had abandoned her straight away- and when she was on the streets, people would kick her around. But now, she was just happy she had a friend. A human friend, if the human part really mattered. Althalos handed her some food and she grabbed it with her tiny paw, instantly stuffing it in her mouth. It had a sweet sensation. He was still stroking her when he started talking again. "You know, there is only one thing that I really dislike about your boyfriend. It's that he's is obviously no older than I am, and he is a cold blooded killer". Her ears perked up, her eyes also narrowing slightly. She looked up, obviously startled by the subject her friend had decided to bring up. Wade...of course he did some killings, but it was for a good reason, right? Lydia felt like saying something and opened her mouth to do so, but Althalos continued to talk. "Nobody, of any age, should be so accustomed to killing that it doesn't even concern them, but to be that young, and not even care. Every time I pull the trigger, I regret needing to do it, in fact I hate it and wish that I could take it back. Wade, I think it was, he seems to kill almost for the fun of it. He has no feeling towards the target or anything like that." Her ears were folded back by now, her expressions showing signs of irritation. Of course Wade didn't like killing. It was true that the umbreon was use to the slaughter, but that was his job. So was hers. "My partner doesn't kill for fun. He does it because it is his job. If he showed emotion, he wouldn't be the top spy he is now," she replied back, trying her hardest to defend Wade. The man had stopped stroking her back by now and had his hand on her mane. She thought about running away, but Althalos looked upset. "I just wish none of this had ever happened. If only some people weren't so cruel," he said to the pokemon, "Than I would never have had a gun pushed into my hands. I would never have become the killer with a conscience." Weird how that last sentence seemed to resemble herself. "A killer with a conscience". All she could do was nod, and while she was, a roar burst through her ears, making her fur prickle on edge. She flattened her fur, realizing that her commander had now claimed the city. Lydia turned her head, her ears twitching and picking up mumbles from Althalos. He seemed disturbed, and she was worried again. |
Althalos Fizen
Jubilife City Plane Wreckage "Carry on, Don't mind me. All I gave was everything, And yet you ask me for more. Fought your fight, Bought your life, And in return I lost my life. What purpose does this serve? A folded flag, A purple heart, A family all but torn apart, I fought with courage to preserve Not my way of life, but yours." Althalos quietly sung to himself, letting the words of the song to sink into his head, and still thinking about what Lydia had said. He stopped his quiet singing. "Showing emotion is natural." he said to the zorua. "There has to be emotion, pain, remorse, regret, sadness. Anything like that. But he doesn't I've seen him kill while I was on the TV station roof. He just walked away like he was burying a bone, just to forget about it, never to worry about it again and went to his next target. Killing shouldn't be a way of life like it seems to be for him. It should be a way of protecting yourself or those you care about. If it's not for defense, it should be for a worthy cause, and in my opinion none of this is worthy. Nobody should be killing anyone. I understand that there has been cruelty between pokemon and people since existence, but I don't know who took it too far. You, the pokemon, with all your sudden killings and betrayals of the people that loved them, and I understand that not all pokemon did that, or the cruel humans who crossed the line." Althalos sighed and stroked the zoruas' back again, but when he moved his hand from her neck, he felt small glass ball. It fell out from her mane and hit the ground with a small "ping" He picked up the small object and just sighed. "I asked you to destroy it, but you had the freedom not too, obviously." He set it down in front of the zorua and continued stroking her back. "Hey, Althalos, cover me, I'm gonna grab him." Mark called. "What? Who?" Althalos couldn't even say no before the man ran off. "I'm done. I'm not never going to kill again, but for now, I'm done. Maybe this whole week, maybe only a few days, but I'm done." Althalos said to no one in particular, but then focused on the zorua. "That reminds me, I'm still going to keep my promise I made back at our HQ. Once I avenge my family, never again." Althalos said and leaned back. "If he wants to go and grab whoever, he needs to cover himself." Althalos felt like he was breaking some unwritten law of the snipers, but he just couldn't bring himself to do anything at the moment. All Lydia could do was listen. She couldn't argue anymore, because she felt the same way as the man did. This entire war was agonizing. All of the lives taken from it- why had she joined in the first place? She couldn't run now, but there was always a feeling of regret. Maybe not when Lydia first joined, but ever since her first mission. Her first killings as a spy of the PR. The killing. It was all in vain, and would continue to be. Suddenly, the flame ball from earlier rolled out of her mane while Althalos was stroking her. She watched it roll in front of her, and she felt hypnotized by the fire in the small sphere. The man picked it up with a sigh, and she lowered her ears. "I asked you to destroy it, but you had the freedom not too, obviously." he said to her, setting it back down on the roof. "I'm keeping it," the Zorua said, picking it back up, "it will be a permanent reminder of this war for me." Of course, she could remember the war without the ball, but it was important, at least to her. "I'm done. I'm not never going to kill again, but for now, I'm done. Maybe this whole week, maybe only a few days, but I'm done." Althalos said, not looking at her but talking to something in the distance. He then looked back at her. "That reminds me, I'm still going to keep my promise I made back at our HQ. Once I avenge my family, never again." She had forgotten about the promise. However, she still remembered what he was fighting for. The Typhlosion. Lydia gazed into the sphere of fire, and put it back in her mane. She missed her own family, and hadn't seen any of them for years. At first her brother's farewells didn't seem like an actual goodbye, but now that time had passed it was very clear to Lydia that they weren't kidding around; and that she would never see them again. Althalos' family was gone just as hers, but there was no chance his family would come back. That's why he was fighting. "I'll let you know if I find him, the Typhlosion," she replied back, "and then you can avenge your family," Her voice was getting quieter. "I know you hate this war, and it'll be hard to continue with the killing. We just need to get through it, and keep fighting..." |

Occupied Jubilife Streets It was like being Spec ops, with all the hiding and waiting. It was boring, just waiting, since the umbreon could leave at any moment but mark kept waiting until he got a plan. It popped in his head like a light bulb. With that he started to move into the street. He slid the pistol across the ground to distract the pokemon, slowly creeping up behind him. Mark quickly grabbed him. He yelled back up to the rooftop "Got 'em." Headlights were at the other end of the road now, mark wondered who could it be, the tanks that never came? Mark walked up the stairs anyways and put down wade as he went to sit down against the wall. "Althalos, convoy coming up the road, i couldn't tell if it's military or not, Sounds like humvees though. Wanna hitch a ride?" Mark's 'Belongings' were all over the ground at this time, he started to pick everything up, shoving it all in his backpack. The final thing he picked up was his RPG. "Coming?" Mark said to althalos as he headed towards the stairs "Say goodbye to your friends, kid. Unless they want to come for the ride, heh." |

Jubilife City Plane wreckage Lydia's words were somewhat comforting. He smiled at her. "Thanks." He knew that getting through a war was easier said than done, but unless you died, it was necessary. "After I can avenge my family, unless something comes up, I'm resigning from the HR. If they won't let me, I'll just run away." Althalos said. the idea of leaving with out a discharge scared him but it seemed right. He sighed and looked at the sky. His thoughts to his younger years came back. "My parents always told me to be kind to pokemon. I feel like I'm betraying them by my joining the HR and becoming a sniper and a spy of all things. I still haven't been sent on a mission as an actual spy, but that's my role. I think it's somewhat fitting since I still steal cookies from the kitchen back at HQ." Althalos laughed half--heartedly. "When I was younger and Blitz was still a quilava-" Althalos caught himself when he said his old friends name, but decided he was ok with talking about the happier times. "We would work together to steal sweets. I think we did that the first night I had him. We finished off the last of my birthday cake." Althalos smiled at the memory. By the time we got to my room that night, he had eaten more than me. His face was covered in icing and he was bloated. My parents were angry when they found out. So were our stomachs. My parents forgave us though, when they saw his sad blue eyes when they yelled at us, but our bellies didn't," Althalos' smile was sad, but he enjoyed the memories, a sunny day after months of rain. "I just called him quilava for about a month until I watched an old war movie. After that I decided to call him Blitzkrieg, or Blitz for short." Althalos sighed and watched as a patrolling flock of bird pokemon, he couldn't tell what at the distance, flew over head. He was startled by the sound of engines as a hummer convoy entered the city. The engines were loud in the sad quiet that had ensued after the battle ended, but he didn't move. "I don't think I'll go with them. I'm going to get out myself, and as an added challenge, unless Mark takes her." Althalos pointed his unoccupied hand at the knife girl, "She'll be coming with me." he didn't even notice Mark as he came upstairs. He was holding Wade pretty tightly. "I'm not one much for riding with jar heads. It's a bit too cramped and sweaty in there for me." Althalos said. He gave Wade a polite nod. "I'm gonna see if I can get out of here on my own, but it would be much appriciated if you took knife chic with you." |
(OOC: It's nothing personal wade, just business)
Mark Vargas Occupied City Rooftops "Interesting stuff always happens in humvees so it would be your loss, and i don't think i have a choice of taking the assassin fail over there." Mark put the rpg in his bag and picked up 'Knife chic' and slung here over his shoulder, picking up wade with his free hand and headed down the stairs after using a dart as a shot for wade when no one was looking. "See you when we next meet, sniper." The hummer convoy came to a stop at mark's side. He hopped in the second to last humvee, putting his luggage into a seat next to him. He looked at the man sitting shotgun, mainly his rank. "Staff sergeant." He said with a nod as he pulled out his rpg, he said "Call the turret." Mark climbed up with his rpg "Good luck althalos" The convoy moved with a jerk. Mark slouched down in the turret to see the soldier next to wade and the new tied up HR spy. "So, whats you name?" The man replied "Alex" "I'm Mark, Sniper" It was hard to believe mark was a soldier right now in his casual appearance. "You guys wouldn't happen to have any armor vest spare would you?" |
Alex Bryant
Jubilife City Streets The Convoy came to a stop as two soldiers climbed into the truck, one of them carrying a Pokemon. " So, what's your name," the soldier in the turret asked. " Corporal Alex Bryant," Alex replied. " I'm Mark,Sniper," the Soldier replied. Alex looked to his right to see the Pokemon and the tied up Human. Why was she tied up, Alex wondered. "You guys wouldn't have any Armor vests to spare would you," Mark asked. " No," Alex replied. Alex heard the Humvee stop by a struggling person withering on the ground. Alex jumped out of the Humvee. Alex picked up the Civilian and put hum in his seat. " Take my seat," Alex offered. Alex closed the door, Saluted, and walked away from the Humvee. " What are you going to do," Mark questioned. " If I am lucky, get back some intel," Alex replied. |
Silence Quickslash
Jubilife City Streets Silence was startled out of her thoughts by a loud roar. 'Sounds like we won,' she thought but it didn't make her feel glad like it usually would. She used to believe that all she wanted was revenge, but now... she wasn't sure. Seeing Lilac had made her angry, yes, but there was also the hurt and loneliness she had been trying to hide for so long. One thing she puzzled over was why Lilac hadn't attacked when the Weavile's guard was down. Silence sighed and slowly walked down the streets towards what once was the HR base. She heard the rumbling of vehicles and stopped as some humans drove by in their humvees. Normally she would have attacked but she just wasn't in the mood. Instead she went down an alley and out of view. Due to the rather slow pace she was moving at it took awhile for her to reach the tall building. She looked around blankly than took a seat in a corner where she could watch the victorious pokemon. |
Rumble
Oreburgh City Sewers, Secret Laboratory The silence of the sewers was broken by a enthusiastic scream, coming from no other than Rumble. "FINALLY!" His shadow was hanging on the wall, huge. The light of the lamp he made was only enough to see his desk, where he made all his inventions. Smoke was coming out of the Flamethrower gun he worked so hard to upgrade. The gun itself was connected to his own body - it was actually IN his body, his left hand. At last, I made this baby work. Let's see what she can do. He raised his left arm againist the wall he was looking the past 12 years, the wall his shadow spent countless hours on. He pulled the trigger and the Flamethrower licked the wall, turning it even more black than it was. Rumble then charged againist the wall with his right hand, smashing it to pieces. Hah, it wasn't as thick as someone would expect. This must be my exit. He used his telepathic powers to gather all the bullets and flame liquid-fuel he made and put them inside his body, and a remote with a green light, next to his Nanotech armor vest, and then levitated like a ghost inside the small corridor through the entrance he created. A blue light came out of his left hand - he had installed a flashlight in his flamethrower, working with a powerful lithium - ion baterries. According to the blueprints of the sewers, there is a pipe at the end of this tunnel, which leads outside town... But first, I gotta take care of something. The Pokemon turned around and planted something on the wall of the corridor. After a while, Rumble found the side of a pipe. He used his flamethrower to melt the steel and walked through it. The smell did not reach his little nose; his liquid blocked it out. As he was levitating, the filthy, black water did not bother him either. His blue flashlight seemed kind of dull... he would change it later. Some Raticates hid when they saw the dull light coming their way. Uncivillized Pokemon.. It makes me sad. Then, another source of light was born in his optical range - the exit! He got out of the sewers. The picture, the green was exactly how he remembered it. He looked around, while blinking his eyes to get used to the light, and turned of his flashlight. He realized in front of him, about 50 meters away, there were humans, on a humvees. Rumble instanly activated his camouflage cloak. That's no true invisibility.. but will be enough for now. Then he levitated towards the vehicle and heard human voices. His heart rate increased and he was ready to blow up the vehicle with his Flamethrower when he heard a word: Jubilife. These people, human soldiers obviously, were going to aid in Jubilife! A bright idea came into his mind, as he was getting closer to the humvees. The green, sticky Pokemon used its liquid to stuck itself beneath the humvees. After a long -or so it seemed-, tiring -even for Rumble- journey, they stopped. He could hear the soldiers talk, but he didn't care what they were talking about. Someone got off the vehicle. It was then when he unstuck himself and fell on the ground. He activated his camouflage once again, and levitated away slowly.. He would blow up the car with the people inside but it he decided againist it; he didn't know where he was and backup could arrive immediately. So he just started levitating towards the big buildings of Jubilife City... Rumble realized he hadn't breathed fresh air for the last 12 years, just when he was observing the Pokemon screaming victoriously, and running into the HR building. He was on the roof of another building, very close. He saw an Arcanine from afar - probably their Commander. He remembered it from the paper he read. The view is amazing from up here - human bodies everywhere, blood... carnage. My thing. There were dead Pokemon too. But the feeling the dead Pokemon gave him - he couldn't recognize it. Something compelled him to look around the building, in the ground. He saw a Pokemon with red and black-like fur walking down the streets, among the bodies. An update on the situation wouldn't hurt. "You! Yeah you! What's happening over there?" |
Ali Krista
Route 207 Ali sighed, staggering to his feet. He should go and find any survivors. He rolled his shoulders to prevent his arms stiffening up as footsteps could be heard on the gravel path. Ali raised his gun as two soldiers emerged, one supporting the other. Upon seeing his own soldiers, Ali lowered his weapon and strode purposefully over to them. "Sir!" The healthier soldier shouted, attempting to salute. "She's badly injured, sir. There was a Nidoking, and-" "Alright, alright." Ali said, waving his hand as to stop him talking. "Put her on the floor. Do you think you could make it to Oreburgh?" The soldier shook his head frantically, gently placing his companion on the grass. Ali knelt by her side, feeling for a pulse. "Her pulse is strong, and she's breathing. What's her name?" "Caitlyn, sir. Caitlyn Black." "Officer Black, can you hear me? If you can, open your eyes." After several seconds of no response, Ali pulled out a small torch, looking under her eyelids. "She's suffered a pretty severe concussion. We'll get some transport to take you both to Oreburgh." Ali spoke into his radio, and the transport was on its way. "Are you alright to look after her?" "Yes sir." "Okay, I have to get back to Jubilife. The infirmary at HQ will look after you both. Good job." "Th-thank you sir." Ali raised a hand in response as he walked away, towards the city. Too many were injured, and troops were needed for recovery missions. He spoke into his talkie: "Oreburgh HQ. We need troops into Jubilife for recovery. That means Humvees, infirmary staff, soldiers, the lot. There'll still be some PR around no doubt, so take weapons, but do not raise your guns first, understand? The battle is over. We don't need any more casualties." With that, Ali handed his XM25 to the soldier and hid his shock gun as best he could in his hoodie. The last thing he wanted was to start another battle, and right now he had to find Jack. He picked up his radio and contacted the Commander's radio alone. "Jack, I'm coming to find you. Don't you worry about it." |
