Breeding in pokemon white PLEASE HELP
Ok so my ultimate goal is to have a roserade as my lead that knows toxic spikes. So I looked up the I should breed with a tangela to get the toxic spikes egg move. So I bred my level 1 female roselia and my level 48 male tangela. I hatched the egg and my roselia did not know toxic spikes. I AM SO CONFUSED. I never get egg moves I tried to get one with my lapras and that didn't work either. Is there something I am doing wrong?????? Will someone please help me I have to battle my friend in 2 days and this roserade will destroy his team.

It's not enough to simply have the father breed with the female. Egg moves are only passed down if the father knows the move.
Also, Toxic Spikes is not an egg move of Roselia's anyway. It can learn it by level up. |
In order to get the move as an egg move, the male you are breeding has to know the move. However, according to Bulbapedia, it is not an egg move, but is learned by Roselia at level 28.

Deoxys and Jigglypuff are right. I have Roselia on my Diamond team, Move Tutor said it could get Toxic Spikes. Unless they changed things for Gen 5, it'll learn it.
