As always, we suck at understanding each other :I I meant items that are solely alchemy ingredients, with the purpose to bring more variety to the recipes. If we do this, we could make the Ruby and Sapphire items that are only available in the shop if you play that version, that are used for a version-exclusive alchemy recipe :) This could bring a little activity to the trading too, as the Ruby players will need to trade in order to get Sapphires.

Recipe examples:
Ruby + ??? = Earth Hammer
Sapphire + ??? = Sea Lantern
Ruby + Sapphire + Protection Charm = Air Blessings Charm

As for the pictures, i haven't gotten to it yet.

Ohhhhhhh that's a great idea....

Because when I think of alchemy I think of the Dragon Warrior games and how there is a lot of alchemy items only, how would I go about making them Ruby and Sapphire exclusive though (say this item is only available to this user) ohhhhhh actual Rubies and Sapphires I was thinking of stuff like onion root and special stones but that could all work

Laure's To Do List: which will take place after I clean my room, which I shoulda did yesterday:

Update player roster
Put up Alchemy Section
Put up Bomb Section

jespoke August 8th, 2011 11:30 AM

There can be some regular ingredients, some lottery ingredients and the Ruby and Sapphire.

heLLkitsune August 8th, 2011 12:43 PM

hello there fellow challengers, sign me up with my ruby version! I'm lucky I got in time to sign up, I've been following this challenge since the beginning and I can't wait to start playing it :3

King! August 8th, 2011 12:46 PM

My username in the OP is all caps <3 does that mean I win? :3

Anyways, my real reason for posting is to ask if instead of having two reds and two greens, could I have two fairies instead? Or could I have, like, an extra red or an extra green? Because two reds and two greens would take up four of the spaces in my party and idk if that would work...hmmm...idk. :P

Also, let's say that I can only have one fairy. So at first I use a Pokemon to pass the four Pokemon requirement. Later in the game, could I replace the fairy? So, like, I only have one on my team at all times, but I've swapped one out for another?

I'm trying to plan my team and I'm a bad decision maker. Dx

EDIT: xD ALSO, if a Pokemon fits two categories (like a green fairy), does it count as both? x_____x

jespoke August 8th, 2011 1:01 PM

There is a dark pokeball out there, so you shouldn't prepare too much unless you suck at this :P

I think you guys really are making the seasons challenge harder than it's suppose to be. If it's a green fairy then you don't need a red pokemon (is there even a green fairy? X:) but if you have a red pokemon on your team, since that green poke counted as your fairy you need another green.

But yes if you wish to not have 2 red 2 green, you may have 1 fairy

Like Jespoke just said maybe not rely on the colors, cause if someone boxes one pokemon, they've pretty much boxed the other

King! August 8th, 2011 1:38 PM

Yeah, I'm probably thinking this out too much. xD But oh well. Breloom is green and a fairy, I believe. :3

CarefulWetPaint August 8th, 2011 1:42 PM

@Laure I think there should be a banner but perhaps saying competitor of the (whatever you want to offically call this)

Laure's Quick Rant I'd love to have badges, userbars all that good stuff, but Laure has no artistic ability to easily arrange this stuff in photo shop. Not good at it no way. And I hate asking for it on the forums because you're like getting something for nothing. And I have a lot of coins on gaia online so I thought I could buy some there, but no way too difficult.

and it would be allow since grass types aren't banned
but if it wasn't a fairy you wouldn't be able to use it because it wouldn't apply to anything

Wait...what? omg grass types aren't allowed or aren't banned? xD and it would be allowed or wouldn't be allowed?

If it wasn't a fairy and if grass types are allowed I could use it because it's green and I would probably have a red Pokemon, right?

lol I'm getting confused..

You would be able to use it with a rtd poke cuz its green but if i wasnt green you couldnt use it since its in another egg group as well as fairy it has to be strictly the said egg group (as in the first column on bulbapedia not the second) right Laure?

jdthebud August 8th, 2011 4:13 PM

my perception is that it can be in another egg group (i.e Water 1 or Water 2), unless the other egg group is banned. Right, Laure?

LaureTheLoner August 8th, 2011 4:17 PM

First column not the second column most be in the pure egg group

I swear you guys are making this difficult, If it doesn't apply to your team you don't get that Pokemon. You're making it sound as though if it isn't banned you can have it. Nope first column egg groups but mostly stick to your colors and types.

King! August 8th, 2011 4:26 PM

Okay, well it's my green Pokemon anyways so whatever. xD

I'm not too sure I want anyone to switch me now...o.o"

LaureTheLoner August 8th, 2011 4:31 PM

Yeah people who are planning their teams if you are unsure of something in your team just tell me about it, and I think that would be a lot easier to explain.

Snow Phoenix August 8th, 2011 9:01 PM

Wait. So let's say we did do the green and red thing and one of our set got boxed... we can't just replace the missing element in our pair? We have to box both? @[email protected]

Let's say you are missing your red, you have to keep your green boxed until you get yourself a replacement that meets the level requirements

MythologicalHAX August 8th, 2011 11:15 PM

Quest ideas
catch all pokemon in a given route (minor repeatable quest)
fully evolve 7 pokemon (your entire team plus one replacement)
sweep a gym with one poke (progressively gets harder)
beat your rival using only one poke (first two times don't count :P)

TheBowsinator August 9th, 2011 5:45 AM

I will be behind as i cant update for the first 3 to 4 days (im going to bush gardens in virginia totally forgot about that when signing up) so uh i'll still be in, but only AS A TROLLER who gets UBER sudden changes and uses them on people who think they have their team! You seen how this tournament works, and with no one able to get clocks that easily they will only be 2-2.5 hours a head of you really. If you have a hard copy if there was a way for you to write down everything you've achieved and submit it somehow (text message maybe idk) it would still count since you have an excuse

Laure, I assume we can use pre-evos that don't fall under the season limits as long as we evolve them as soon as we can, right?

Itstoppedatumbreon August 9th, 2011 12:19 PM

so, how many people will be in this roughly?
also, do you know when it will start
