The New Moves of Generation V

I saw there was a thread for discussing changes to old moves, but not one for new moves. So, here it is. This thread is for discussing anything about the moves introduced in Generation V. Whether it's about the effects, the Pokemon that can learn them, their animations, and pretty much anything else.

Some of my favorite moves from this generation are Scald, excellent innovation of the Water-type allowing it to cause a burn, Electro Ball, an excellent inverse of Gyro Ball for fast Pokemon like Galvantula, Retaliate, a great move to use after having a Pokemon faint, allowing you to defeat an opponent relatively easily given decent attack and STAB, and Shell Smash, awesome move since it allows you to bring your speed up on slow Pokemon and hit hard.

I find head charge quite useful on Bouffalant. My only problem with it is that they didn't keep it named Afro Crash like it is in Japanese -_-'.

Gen V really had heaps of moves introduced: http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Category:Generation_V_moves

I really liked acrobatics though, scald was good, the legendaries had some good signature moves as well as some normal Pokemon like sawsbuck and horn leech. I think Gen V moves were very creative and strategic.

So many attack threads, lol.

Ooh Dragon Tail is Gen V? Looove it. So useful with SR/Spikes/Etc. :)

Volt Switch is also good, as is Work Up (mainly because the latter just makes me think of only Lillipup so it's like "Lillipup omg yessss". Also loving Wild Charge/Bulldoze in-game. OH YES AND SCALD MY ORIGINAL FAVOURITE GEN V ATTACK.

But really B/W has a lot of good stuff, but those ones are mainly the ones I've had experience with.

My favorite Gen V moves are:
-Scald (gives bulky Water Pokemon another status to use other than Toxic)
-Dragon Tail/Circle Throw (Pokemon who can learn Roar/Whirlwind, like Gyarados can use these instead; it also gives Poliwrath another support move)
-Shell Smash (risky, but once one is up, that Pokemon becomes nearly unstoppable)
-Quiver Dance (finally, a Special version of Dragon Dance, with a touch of Calm Mind. Would've been nice if more Pokemon got it)
-Volt Switch (sure, Ground Pokemon stop it, but it essentially gives Electric Pokemon U-turn)
-Blue Flare/Bolt Strike (high base power, cool names)
-Work Up (the boosts are small, but it makes mixed sweeping viable)
-Acrobatics (what makes a Flying Gem/item-less Archeops threatening)
-Shift Gear (the equivalent of Howl and Agility/Rock Polish)
-Gear Grind (same BP as Meteor Mash except it can deal with Pokemon using Substitute)

Quiver dance, scald and Gale are my favorite gen V moves. :D

I love Razor Shell, since it helped my Oshawott pwn people early in the game.

Flame Charge also helped me with Simisear. Without that move, I would've boxed Simisear ASAP.

...basically, I chose the unsung moves. ;D

I love Quiver Dance, it makes my Volcarona super powerful and evil hard to beat.
Oh, and Fiery Dance. I have swept so many opponents Nica with its Sp Attack boosts.
