I'm not really into the anime, but I'd still watch it nonetheless. :'3 .. Probably for future Poke references. XD

Oryx November 5th, 2011 9:10 AM

The games and the manga are more than enough for me, I'm already the resident Pokemon expert in my group of friends.

That's a terrible statement to make. Many people were introduced to the series through the anime. Plus the anime is the biggest point of promotion for the games. :\ Are there any reasons in particular why you don't like it? I mean, just because you don't like it doesn't mean it shouldn't exist.

I don't really agree, as much as I lack interest towards the show. The games were first to come out, but I think the anime also plays an integral part in the whole Pokemon franchise.

Snivy063 November 5th, 2011 9:11 AM

I totally agree that it's a great way of promoting the games, as of course, interests young people and buys the game for sure. :'p

I don't necessarily like the anime, any more at least, lol, but I don't want it to disappear. :\ If it had never happened, we wouldn't have epic movies like the first one. xD

Mew~ November 5th, 2011 9:21 AM

There is way more to it than that. It hasn't been going on for this long because of promotion. Many, many people very much enjoy watching the series, I'm very passionate about the series. I've watched it since I was small, and followed Ash on his journey up until now. I'm sure many, many generations of children have enjoyed watching it over the past 14 years, it's loved by many, many people, young and old...

Snivy063 November 5th, 2011 9:23 AM

I have been watching the series ever since I was a kid, but I stopped watching after some anime distracted me, so I couldn't say that I watched it all, I definitely missed some. D': .. Which is bad ..

Oryx November 5th, 2011 9:26 AM

Although I have to say that the anime probably has the weakest long-term following as opposed to, for example, the games, because it constantly has to appeal to young audiences and for some reason that always goes over better with the games than the anime.

Maybe you already explained what this entails and I missed it, or maybe no one is interested, but this sounds so weird. Are you an eye model? Please tell me that you are. That would be even crazier than a hand model.

Snivy063 November 5th, 2011 9:32 AM

I like taking pictures of different eyes, since I believe that in the eye, you could see what truly that person is. :P

Hahaha. My college does a lot of research, and a lot of it has to do with biometrics which I'm not really sure entirely what they do with the images, but I think it has to do with computers being able to tell different eyes apart. I do a whole bunch of really scientific-type pictures with fancy cameras and then they give me money cause it helps their research haha.

Well, that wasn't as interesting an answer as I was hoping, but still interesting nonetheless. My school used to post ads for volunteers for studies, but they always wanted 3 or 4 hours of your time so I never went to any. I was always curious to try one though.

Oryx November 5th, 2011 9:50 AM

Yeah this is nice because I don't do much with the money but it keeps me in clean clothes, since I get a discount for using money directly from my student card for laundry and that's where the money goes. And the occasional vending machine goodie :3

Palamon November 5th, 2011 10:20 AM

Nope, no allowance for me. ):

Best Wishes is better than Sinnoh and Hoenn at least. I hated the Sinnoh saga the most. Dawn was so annoying.

cacturne4512 November 5th, 2011 11:11 AM

No allowance. My main source of money comes from birthday, Christmas, and finding money around the house. That last one brings in a lot more than you would think.

I never really watch the anime because I don't get the channel it plays on. I do like to watch the orginal Indigo League saga online though.

AshPikastar November 5th, 2011 11:12 AM

I don't have a allowance. The main time I get money is from my dad. He would ask me if I have any money on me and would give it to me if I don't have any. I would also get money from my birthday or Christmas.

Alley Cat November 5th, 2011 11:31 AM

I wish I had an allowance... or a job. A steady flow of cash wouldn't be bad... I could use it for a lot of things. But my mom can't afford to give allowances. =/

blue November 5th, 2011 3:22 PM

I surprisingly just got a job, today infact I'm well happy but nervous.

Impo November 5th, 2011 3:42 PM

Congrats :D
what kind? A casual job like a supermarket one or a full-time one?

Congratulations. I'm still trying to find a job. Sent in numerous applications and haven't heard back from anyone.

I'm starting to get really frustrated and my grandad is getting on my back about that.

GGJ November 5th, 2011 3:52 PM

Whats up, how are you people today?

blue November 5th, 2011 4:07 PM

It's took me loads of applications and it's just a casual part-time in a supermarket, nothing too big yet. & thanks!

Oryx November 5th, 2011 4:11 PM

I get jobs on campus pretty easily because they're always looking for students to work, it's pretty lucky.

Impo November 5th, 2011 4:26 PM

I work at a supermarket, heheh :D !
It's pretty fun, the people are surprisingly nice :)
