A Home

I was wondering. I made up a very cool gigantic Pokemon rpg. I was wondering, could some forums be made for this rpg? There is another forum I go to that requested a home for their large Pokemon rpg and I was wondering if I could do the same with mine? I can give you the preview page if you want!

For now, it would make more sense to start a normal thread in the Pokemon RPG forum. If a lot of traffic is generated, then it might be possible to haggle a full forum out of the higher staff, but with no guarentee of high traffic, it's unlikely they'll add it.

Carlito-san December 30th, 2004 12:15 PM

No,as this is a VERY big forum, with over 6000 members.Letting everyone's giant RPG's happen, would destroy the forum. You always could make a thread in Pokemon RP,if it gets big and successfull,Mods might sticky it.

KoBRe LaiR December 30th, 2004 12:20 PM

I agree with JKaizer, start a fresh new thread for it, and if people start showing signs of them liking it, it might be considered for a new forum.

Carlito-san December 30th, 2004 12:23 PM

It would have to get 100+ members on it,though.Which is quite possible,if your idea is good.

aRedMoon December 30th, 2004 12:25 PM

billybob, your opinion sure seemed to change.

And detals would be nice. Is it one of those big anime battle style things?

Carlito-san December 30th, 2004 12:30 PM

Greg, what do you mean?I'm saying no to a forum, yes to a thread in PRP.And if it gets big, staff may make a forum.

Xloth December 30th, 2004 12:36 PM

Ok

That will work. But, its a big rpg so it will require a few more threads. One for the info, and one thread (a big thread sooner or later) for the actuall roleplaying. Is this ok? And about the sticky thing that will work. I will also need another thread to recruit certain people as XJ8K mods. If this all is ok, let me know please. Also, i have an idea on how this will work.

We can make certain points as when the threads can become stickied, new forum, and such. Heres a chart I made so far. If you have a request on when we should upgrade the rpg (such as sticky, forum make, ect.), just post it and I'll edit. This is what I think so far.

Sticky Rpg Threads: 100 members, 5 mods
New Forum: 200 members, 10 mods
New Category and Forums: ??? members, ?? mods

Not sure on the last one. If you think something is too high or low, suggest what you think it should be and I'll edit.

Carlito-san December 30th, 2004 12:48 PM

You Can't decide that.Mods and other staff can.I bet i would join.PM me when it starts.I can be a mod for it.Save a mod spot for me.

Xloth December 30th, 2004 12:51 PM

Yup

I know. Im just wondering if its ok to have 3 topics and that other stuff, however we can do it. But hey, I might just have to combine threads. I'll go get it and pm you shortly.

Why not create your very own forum for this RPG using one of these:

Invision Free
ProBoards
EZBoards

Xloth December 30th, 2004 12:59 PM

Its not big enough yet and I don't want to waste their forum space...

aRedMoon December 30th, 2004 1:42 PM

They really don't mind. =)

Xloth December 30th, 2004 2:39 PM

Whatever, I'm waiting to make one of those downloadable forum things to make my forum seem more proffesional.

aRedMoon December 30th, 2004 2:41 PM

Okay, which software ya gonna use?

*curious webbie* ^_^

Carlito-san December 30th, 2004 2:43 PM

Probably Ivisionfree...MyBB or PHPBB are good, but that new virus uses them.

aRedMoon December 30th, 2004 2:46 PM

The worm has been stopped for now, and it only affected phpBB. It didn't affect MyBB.

Also, invisionfree is not a downloadable software. Invision board is, not invisionfree.

Carlito-san December 30th, 2004 2:50 PM

Thats what i meant. And I tought MyBB used PHP coding.

aRedMoon December 30th, 2004 2:51 PM

vBulletin and Invision also use php. -.-

Xloth December 30th, 2004 3:11 PM

Mabye vbulliten, mabye invisionpower, but most likely, PHPbb. Hey JKaiser, ur avvie scares me.

Carlito-san December 30th, 2004 3:14 PM

Vbullton is 100$ a month.PHPBB is free.

WTF?!

Seriously, shut up unless you know your facts.

It's $80 a year or $160 for a full license.

Xloth December 30th, 2004 3:22 PM

aRedMoon December 30th, 2004 3:23 PM
