How to make the champions harder.
Steven and wallace in my eyes are prety much a joke post game unless you count the one lousy time you get to fight steven in meteor falls. This is how I would improve their teams to make the game a little more fun/ challenging with all levels atleast 70:
Steven: Skarmory- (new sturdy ftw) spikes/stealth rock toxic fly (helps stall for toxic I find) steel wing claydol- earthquake psychic (has stab and power over ancientpower) reflect light screen cradilly- (dreamworld storm drain should make things more interesting) giga drain ancientpowr sludge wave sandstorm armaldo- x-scizzor stone edge brick break swords dance aggron- (New sturdy ftw, again) metal burst/ heavy slam fireblast rock polish rock slide metagross- Meteor mash earthquake psychic shadow ball =============== For wallace: Kingdra- (swift swim) toxic rain dance surf dragon pulse/blizzard swampert- stealth rock earthquake avalanche hydro cannon gyarados- dragon dance aqua tail earthquake ice fang ludicollo- giga drain surf ice beam double team lanturn- (volt absorb) hydro pump thunder (bolt?) ice beam rain dance/thunderwave milotic- surf ice beam toxic recover Let me know what you think of them. |
It'd be more fun if it's really challenging & hard. :) .. Won't be happening though. ^^

Don't forget that a lot of battling, especially NPC's, is their strategy. They should have strategies mixed in, otherwise the movesets don't make much of a difference. That may just be me though.
Sure, you can slap on Swords Dance on a Zangoose, but will it always use it? Even so, will they use it with right timing? Same thing applies to most of your things, like Aggron for example. It has Rock Polish, but it may just not ever use it and not sweep as efficiently as you'd like it. I also think that tweaking with their stats would give them a major boost, but I think that is already applied, with IV's anyway. |
To make the Champions more of a challenge, they should:
1. Raise pokemon levels. Nobody wants to fight a level 55 Milotic, it just isn't fun. They should make the levels of the Champions at least 65. 2. Allow for item use from both trainers. And I don't just mean the usual, I mean they can't stop using potions and combat items. 3. Switching out. Let the Champion switch their pokemon out. |
As for yourself,
1-Use pokemon weak to that type 2-Do a Revive-less Run 3-Use slightly underleveled mons ------------------------- As for GF, I agree some champions are a joke, but you have got to keep in mind,Pokemon is also for younger kinds, that may not like/be suited for a more hard form of gaming ... |
