If you have a Pokémon that you want to be as fast as possible, but you also want it to have an Ice-type Hidden Power, what does this mean in regards to Speed?

deoxys121 December 1st, 2011 3:39 PM

Your Speed IV cannot be higher than 30. (... Right?)

What is the only Fire-type Pokemon able to learn a damaging Water-type move, and what is the move?

Hikamaru December 1st, 2011 3:44 PM

That Pokemon is Emboar and the move is Scald.

Who does the voice of Cilan in the Japanese version of the Pokemon anime?

Squirrel December 1st, 2011 3:44 PM

Ninja'd... :( The voice actor is Mamoru Miyano ^^

What do Ash Ketchum and Dawn's Buneary have in common?

Hikamaru December 1st, 2011 3:52 PM

Things that Ash's Pikachu and Dawn's Buneary have in common:
- Both have confirmed genders (Pikachu is male, Buneary is female)
- Both are in the Field egg group and also have a secondary egg group (Pikachu is also in the Fairy group while Buneary also shares the Human-Like group)
- Both are in love with each other

And some other things that Pikachu and Buneary have in common generally:
- Both their species learn Quick Attack by level-up
- Both have a 50-50 gender ratio.
- Both have a member of their evolutionary line that evolves by happiness
- Both species cannot be obtained in Black & White without Poke Transfer
- Both species are only found in one location in D/P/Pt (Pikachu in Trophy Garden and Buneary in Eterna Forest)
- Both their National Pokedex numbers have a 2 in it.

What is Lyra's Japanese name?

What is Lyra's Japanese name?

I said Ash and Buneary, not Pikachu and Buneary xD

Kotone is Lyra's Japanese name :3

What do Ash Ketchum and Dawn's Buneary have in common?

deoxys121 December 2nd, 2011 5:24 PM

OK, this hasn't been answered yet, and I didn't watch the DP series. So, I'm just gonna say I don't know, and move on to the next question.

In the episode Club Battle Finale: A Hero's Outcome, what is the final move that Iris's Excadrill used on Ash's Pikachu?

Adam Levine December 2nd, 2011 6:07 PM

Focus Blast?
How many Level-up moves can Machamp learn?

They're both voiced by the same person ^^

The current question's answer is Machamp learns 12 moves by level, 17 if you include the moves it knows from birth :3

What are they only Flying type Pokemon to belong to the 'Water 3' egg group?

deoxys121 December 3rd, 2011 8:47 AM

Archen and Archeops. (No idea why)

On the just-released Victini in the United States, what is that Victini's OT?

Ineffable~ December 5th, 2011 10:10 AM

Just gonna flat out guess here and say it has the ID of the trainer that adopts it.

What fundamental thing do Beedrill and Keldeo have in common? (It's nothing too obvious and nothing to do with moves or appearance.)

Hikamaru December 5th, 2011 1:47 PM

They both give out one EV Yield for Special Defense.

Why was Jynx's face changed from black to purple?

deoxys121 December 5th, 2011 2:06 PM

[The OT of the Victini is "Movie14"]

It was perceived as racist by the western audience. (Don't ask me why. :\)

What are the only Water-type Pokemon other than Magikarp and Rotom-W unable to learn Ice Beam?

Ineffable~ December 5th, 2011 2:07 PM

Because of apparent racial connotations with blackface actors. @[email protected]

EDIT: Ninja'd! D:

@Deoxys, I think those are Surskit and Masquerain, right?
EDIT2: Never mind I looked it up and it's not right. Otherwise, I don't know which! D:

That wasn't the similarity I was referring to but well spotted! ^^

I'll ask the same question once again since I really want someone to know this haha.

FACEcake1223 December 5th, 2011 9:49 PM

Flying and Psychic attacks are super effective against both of them.

My Question: What moves can Magikarp learn? And at what levels if any?

Hikamaru December 5th, 2011 10:59 PM

Magikarp's moves are:

Splash (default)
Tackle (Level 15)
Flail (Level 30)
Bounce (Dream World exclusive)

What is the possible way for a Water/Ground-type Pokemon to have no weaknesses? (hint, it's a certain ability)

Ineffable~ December 5th, 2011 11:42 PM

Sap Sipper! :3

Okay since no one came up with the answer I was thinking of (although everyone had a technically correct answer), I'll just say it.

Beedrill's French name is Dardagnan, which comes from D'artagnan, the Fourth Musketeer. In the Pokémon version of the Musketeers (the Musketeer Trio/Quartet, derp), Keldeo is the Fourth Musketeer. So Beedrill is named after D'artagnan whereas Keldeo is based off of him. :3

Name all the Pokemon with Cute Charm as an ability (including Pokemon who get it as a Hidden Ability)?

My Question: Out of the 2 moves with the lowest base attack of any Pokemon move, what are they, which one is learned by 16 Pokemon and what is the base attack?

deoxys121 December 6th, 2011 10:11 PM

That would be Constrict, with a base power of 10.

What are the only two Pokemon to have learned Hydro Pump in a past generation, but don't learn it now?

Hikamaru December 6th, 2011 10:27 PM

You forgot Elgyem and Beheeyem.

The region with no Dark-type introduced is Kanto.
