What do you think of Dark-Type Pokemon: I love them. They have awsome designs, great stats, and are very fun to use. They can also destory Ghost and Psychic types with ease, which is great for me since I hate fighting against those types.
Your partners: Bisharp
Which Types rule: Dark hands down.

What do you think a Dark/Poison Legendary Pokemon would look like? Please describe in details.

If we're going with the ninja look, then it'll have to be able to run, jump, and fight using hand-to-hand combat, so arms and legs are needed. It should also have a pouch or something along the lines of that to store items like needles, spike traps, or smoke bombs. Thats all I can think of at the moment.

Welcome to the club! I'll add you to the list asap.

How so? The ability Pickup in a way is similar to a pouch and Pokemon already hold items, so a Pokemon with a pouch would make it more convenient to hold item a trainer gives it.

I just updated the members list.

Seems empty.
I'm just gonna bump up my club here.
Ok new topic to make it more relevant. You can still answer the last topic, this is just too keep activity going.

What kind of moves do you think would a Dark/Poison legendary Pokemon type would have?

Well, to go with my ninja type Pokemon, I would say one move it could learn is Poison Jab. To me that seems very-ninja like. I also think Spikes or Toxic Spikes, cause they're very stealthy like moves. I think Dark Void , making it no longer Darkrai's signature move, but it could use it to put it foes to sleep sort of like a real ninja.

This will be fun... Hmm... I'm thinking maybe a cross between a giant spider and a scorpion with 4-8 piercing red eyes with an attack like Dark Web, Dark-Type Power of 100, Accuracy of 95, PP of 15, Prevents escapes and has a 30% chance of severe poisoning...

What do you think of Dark-Type Pokemon: They're misunderstood, sometimes lonely.
Your partners: Darkrai
What Types rule: Dark types rule!
Answer the current topic: Drapion is legendary enough to me.

Why is dark type restricted to the elite four? Why can't we have a dark type gym leader? NO WAIT! A dark type champion! a black cape would be completely epic and fitting! There's loads of cool pokemon for a team like that too! His strongest pokemon could be a darkrai since it's a pseudo legendary.

Treecko July 11th, 2012 9:16 PM

Welcome to the club both of you sorry I'm way behind on updating. ._. I'll add you guys now.

Hmm nevermind, I must've stayed up too late the night I posted that, but they do still share the same base stat total so I don't see any reason darkrai couldn't be in a champion team. But I don't see anything wrong with hydreigon.Maybe such a champion would use a team like:

Spiritomb
Drapion
Crawdaunt
Houndoom
Shiftry
Darkrai/Hydreigon

Yeah that seems like a good team, I personally would have an Umbreon, but that's just me.

New topic

Create a team for a Dark-Type Champion. In other words, what Pokemon you think a Dark-type Champion would have?

I'll have to think of my choices. You guys discuss first.

Man I got to stay organized. ^__^;;;

Squirrel July 26th, 2012 10:24 AM

Oh man I love these topics xD

Create a team for a Dark-Type Champion. In other words, what Pokemon you think a Dark-type Champion would have?
In short: Spiritomb, Umbreon, Zoroark, Hydreigon, Drapion, Weavile; I chose these mainly because they're the strongest and most iconic Dark types that I can think of. Spiritomb's power is very well-known due to its huge resistances and tricky move sets, so that's a must on a Dark type team. Umbreon is probably the most iconic Dark type pokémon to date, boosting great stats and very interesting moves, it's a difficult Pokémon to beat. Zoroark pretty much encompasses the spirit of Dark types for me as it's the ultimate Pokémon of trickery with its moves and Imposter ability, and this is the main point of Dark type Pokémon, so it's the perfect Pokémon to add to the team. Hydreigon is obviously just a complete power house with huge coverage, so it's a must for any strong Dark team. Drapion was a slightly odd choice, but I feel like it's a pretty intimidating Pokémon even if it isn't necessarily that strong, so it fits in well for a champion to have one. And Weavile is another very iconic Dark type Pokémon that boasts some great stats/moves making it also a perfect addition to a Dark type team.

Can't wait to see more people's, that was fun x]

Sector July 26th, 2012 12:26 PM

Create a team for a Dark-Type Champion. In other words, what Pokemon you think a Dark-type Champion would have?

Lead Pokemon:
Spiritomb w/ Infiltrator
-Shadow Punch
-Pursuit
-Will-O-Wisp
-Sucker Punch

Just like Cynthia, Spiritomb would always be that Pokemon with no weakness. Which can annoy you, due to its very tricky moveset. Spiritomb is a must have in ANY Ghost and Dark Mono-Party, without quesitons.

Offensive Pokemon:
Bisharp w/ Inner Focus
-Swords Dance
-Sucker Punch
-Brick Break
-X-Scissor

To keep the transition going, a Champion has had at LEAST one Pokemon with a 4x Weakness. Bisharp can be fairly deadly. Definitely not a disappointment when used correctly!

Defensive Pokemon:
Umbreon w/ Synchronize
-Toxic
-Protect
-Wish
-Payback

Umbreon is definitely considered as one of the top 5, top 3 possibly, among the world as fan favorites (Lucario, Charizard..definitely suitable for #3!). Because he's practically a brick wall, someone not to be taken lightly. Umbreon is also a must and can mess up your opponent's mind!

Deadly Pokemon:
Hydreigon w/ Levitate
-Dragon Pulse
-Fire Blast/U-Turn
-Surf
-Dark Pulse

When I had Hydreigon, I liked him to be full dead-on, offensive like no other, with it reaching its highest Special Attack. No different than here. The Champions each generation all used at least a Pseudo-Legendary, so here's another transition to keep it going. Not to mention Hydreigon is abosolutely, one of the best Pokemon around.

Bodyguard Pokemon:
Drapion w/ Battle Armor
-Toxic Spikes
-Crunch
-Swords Dance
-Earthquake

Dark type's two weaknesses, Fighting & Bug, will ease up against Darpion due to its Poison half. Drapion is also pretty bulky and has some threatening moves to go with. Drapion is an excellent choice.

Final Strike Pokemon:
Weavile w/ Pressure
-Swords Dance
-Night Slash
-Ice Punch
-Punishment

This Weavile would be one heck of a Pokemon to fend off. Its Speed and Physical Attack is drop dead amazing. Weavile is the one you want to keep alive at all cost for a huge advantage.

Klinklang5 July 31st, 2012 9:46 PM

A dark type champion would most likely have pokemon who are high in their evolutions as well as strength, so the most formidable pokemon in my opinion would be Hydreigon, Zoroark, and everybody's favorite: Umbreon.

Good team! I think my choices would be

Spiritomb (Lead Pokemon)
Umbreon lv 45-55 (wall)
Scrafty lv 45-55 (defensive)
Hydreigon lv 49-60 (Psuedo and deadly sweeper)
Weaville lv 49 -60 (physical attacker)
Tyrannitar lv 53- 60 (Strongest/Finishing Pokemon and tank)

Yeah that's good I guess.

danaxe August 9th, 2012 12:29 PM

hey new topic

areal ace ( yes i know weak base power but deals with fighting and bug)

psycic ( also deals with fighting lowers foes special defence)
that is my favorite moveset for darkrai
i do not rely on darkvoid/ dream eater combos
bye hope people reply

Treecko August 12th, 2012 4:10 AM

Great topic! I added to the list of current topics.

Here's what my moveset would be
Dark Pulse
Dark Void
Shadow Ball
Nasty Plot

Probably not the best, but it's what I would use.

What do you think of Dark-Type Pokemon: Almost all Dark Pokemon have an awesome design, and they're powerful, too! So there's nothing bad I can say about dark types, really.
Your partners: (Up to two): Zoroark & Absol
What Types rule: Dark, electric, dragon, ghost & ice types are the best!
Answer the current topic: Well, I have never played any 4 or 5 generation games, so I can't really answer the current topic about Darkrai.... Sorry.

All I can say is that Dark-Types rule, so Darkrai rules, too!

danaxe August 14th, 2012 9:54 PM

@lightning alex do one of the other topics then
and yes i know areal ace is physical

LightningAlex August 15th, 2012 2:02 AM

Uh, okay, I'll do the one before this one:
Create a team for a Dark-Type Champion. In other words, what Pokemon you think a Dark-type Champion would have?
It's a rather interesting topic, really. I've always imagined someone with these Pokemon:
Umbreon - It's the first Dark Pokemon, it's awesome, cute, powerful, a dark champ should have one.

Absol - Absol maybe isn't the strongest Dark Pokemon, but it has an awesome design. Wouldn't want the champ to have bad-looking Pokemon, right?

Houndoom - Obviously it's hard to become champ with only one type in your team, so a Dark/Fire type is a great addition to the dark champ's team.

Hydreigon - Maybe not the coolest Dark Pokemon (IMO), but it's a dragon! Dragon's are powerful and well-suited for a champ.

Mandibuzz - The champ has to fly around, too. And what better way to do it than with a strong Dark/Flying Pokemon?

Zoroark - Of course, the (IMO) best Dark-type Pokemon. A dark champ must have this one!

Welcome to the club Alex! In a way you did answer the topic, so that answer is acceptable. I understand if you have never play a 4 or 5 gen game.

Mithel_Celestia August 18th, 2012 4:23 AM

I would like to join the club, Dark types are my top favorite type.

Username: Mithel_Celestia
What do you think of Dark-Type Pokemon: most of the Dark type pokemon designs are very cool, the type itself is very mysterious and that is what I love about them.
Your partners: main partner, and battler, A Mightyena going by the name "Karimlan"(which means "darkness" in tagalog.), a second partner, if I have to choose, is a Zoroark, no special name though, but I like it. the moment they introduced it, i knew it was born for greatness XD.

What Types rule: Dark is at the very top, very mischievous and annoys the filling out of others.

Answer the current topic:
Basically, a region's lack of Dark-Type Gyms may be due to some of their move's annoyance and unfairness, if you say it like that, Taunt prevents status moves, Torment restricts the moves used, Payback reaches a base Power of 100, just by falling behind of the others.

That may be one of the reasons Dark type specialist are one of the Elite Four, however, Dark Gyms may be made to be a little easier, just for the the main storyline; or,
It could be made into a post-storyline Gym, no one said that every Regions must only have 8 Gyms, Gary even has 10 badges in the early season of the anime and Barry has some Badges that aren't even in the games.

The Idea of post-storyline Gyms in a game sounds cool and may give someone something to do after defeating the Champion, like HGSS.

Affliction August 18th, 2012 4:50 AM

I would want to join this club, as Dark Types are in a tie for my most favourite type.

Username: Umbr30n (Although I usually get called "Arron" in PMs, which is my real name).
What do you think of Dark Type Pokemon: I think it is a really cool Type and that it is one of the most Real Types (What I mean is, what they do) since they lurk around at night.
Your Partners: An Umbreon going by the name "Shadow" and a Tyranitar going by the name "Arron".

What Types Rule: Dark is in a tie with Fire and Dragon for the best. Although, in most occasions, Dark Types Rule.

Answering the current topic: I think there are no Dark Gym Leaders because of the combination of Taunt + Sucker Punch, which makes Sucker Punch an always hitting move for a set amount of turns. Plus they are VERY powerful with other combinations such as Curse + Payback, or even other combinations such as Pursuit + Roar.

Plus they can have an Umbreon with these moves:

-Mean Look.
-Dark Pulse.
-Rest.
-Toxic.
=Win.
