QuilavaKing has parallelzero in his screencap, but I don't know if this is the same green Live_Wire is talking about since the theme QuilavaKing is using makes everything green. :P

It should be like that all the time. Although, I still like my default-green the best. :P

Netto Azure March 18th, 2012 10:34 AM

AA green or Mod Green. I have weird choices.

Elite Overlord LeSabre™ March 18th, 2012 10:58 AM

I just know the supporter green wasn't at all compatible with my profile color scheme. If we were to keep the green, maybe a darker shade of green would work better? Or maybe I'd just have to redo my profile xD

Hagumi March 18th, 2012 11:16 AM

I guess I'm one of the few people who liked the moderators' green. I love bright colours, especially citrus green, so I thought it looked great.

Also, the Conway theme is awesome. I've tried switching to other themes but none of them look as nice and as clean to me than Conway.

Karma Police March 18th, 2012 11:45 AM

I could barely see all the green on my profile. I don't want the green, I'd have to change my profile colors d: I didn't like the mod color anyways.

Hey guys, Google Australia has a special logo today.

Not only is it my anniversary of joining PC, but today is the 80th Birthday of Sydney's famous Harbour Bridge. Yeah, it's the bridge that looks like a giant coathanger...

http://i1193.photobucket.com/albums/aa354/Hikari10Girl/google1.png?t=1332135399

It was on this very day in 1932 that a famous Australian icon was open to traffic...

I love it when Google do those special logos on days where celebrations happen.

And this means I am changing the topic, what was your favorite celebration-based Google logo?

Elite Overlord LeSabre™ March 18th, 2012 10:39 PM

I honestly don't pay attention to what logo Google uses. I just type and search lol

Is there any place where you can see ones they've used in the past? If they did any based on cars, those could be awesome :)

Oryx March 19th, 2012 3:14 AM

How long were usernames even green? :( I spent like 18 hours on a train but I felt like they should have been green for LONGERRR

Nihilego March 19th, 2012 4:16 AM

Not that long lol. Audy overslept and no-one else got round to changing it so we didn't get the full 24 hours.

Oryx March 19th, 2012 4:23 AM

Shouldve gotten 24 hours from when Audy did it imo :(((((

In Spain, we have this:

To celebrate the Bicentenary of the Spanish first Constitution. Looks pretty nice, I really like the design they used for the google letters.

Google seems to have taken tips from Japan: give your company a cute and playful mascot (or logo games) and people will think you're a good company.

Mr Cat Dog March 19th, 2012 9:00 AM

UK Google is being boring today. They've done some cool ones in the past, but I honestly can't remember any of them.

Oh, Google's still evil. Great search engine with a cute gimmick every once in a while, but they want a piece of every single bit of the internet...

Google has all sorts of interesting gimmics that make them who they are. I don't recall one particular logo I liked, but I do like that Sydney Harbor Bridge one. It has class.

I do like some of the whimsical banners they make and put on the main Google search page.

Cello March 19th, 2012 11:17 AM

I like when they had the snow falling every time you did a search for Let It Snow this past Holiday season.

They need to do more fun things like that with their engine!

EDIT:

Oryx March 19th, 2012 11:18 AM

there are so many easter eggs on Google. Like "do a barrel roll" and such. There's more but can't think of themmm

DUDE, I totally didn't know about that! That is so cool!
Google can have my information, I don't care. I'm Starfox.

Oryx March 19th, 2012 11:28 AM

There's another one that you like put in a really specific compliment like "Who's the best person ever" or something and hit "I'm feeling lucky" and it says you are haha.

Also do I'm Feeling Lucky on a search for Chuck Norris.

Edit: It's "who's the cutest". :3

Karma Police March 19th, 2012 11:45 AM

You should try typing "Where is Chuck Norris" and click the I'm feeling Lucky Button. It's pretty hilarious xD

Also, you could try Google Gravity or Google Sphere.

Palamon March 19th, 2012 11:51 AM

Who needs Google when you have Wikias for like everything? (Just kidding, but still...) I use Google every day for images. I like to use Google, but I don't like how Google can see what you're searching and when you search for it.

Mr. X March 19th, 2012 12:11 PM

Google sucks.

Go Yahoo.

Netto Azure March 19th, 2012 12:16 PM

Yahoo uses Bing results, so it would be kinda weird to say drop Yahoo and go Bing.

But I'm used to Google so it's ok in my book.

Alice March 19th, 2012 12:17 PM

Google is the only good search engine imo. Too bad that google itself is pure evil.

That's the way I feel about it. I just feel like it's giving me good results, plus it's pretty simple.

I remember back in the day I would use AskJeeves though (Now it's just Ask). Me and my cousins would have fun with it, asking Jeeves inappropriate questions.

blue March 19th, 2012 5:30 PM

I've tried Yahoo and other relative search engines but I always just go back to Google, I've used it for as long as I've had the Internet and for me it's the most useful search engine. Not to mention it has News, Images, Videos etc.

Also, I don't think it's St. Patricks Day anymore (Thread Title) ^^
